It's between 3-4 stars for us just because of the experience. We were visiting town, saw there wasn't a lot of clientele when we arrived, ordered a slice and a calzone (told us it would be "a while" for calzone). We opted to eat inside. While there wasn't a lot of clientele when we ordered, the kitchen was still busy- and then the lunch rush came in behind us. Eventually figured out there was a large catering order they were handling. I don't even remember how long it took to get the calzone... maybe 40min. Seemed likely very long time. We didn't think to ask how long was "long" when we first ordered. We only caught-on about the catering order because we over heard the staff talking and saw the trays coming out. I guess more of a heads up about the specific timeframe would've helped. As for the food, The pizza itself was really good, would've preferred the slice hotter but we were hungry (so no picture). The calzone was enormous. Aside from wait time, which i would say it was a once in a blue moon kind of deal, I'd go back again and get more food. read more

Dine-in for lunch here on a cold weekend, pizzeria has a large back dining area. Ordered a large pie with toppings, Cesar salad, and their Garlic Buffalo Wings. Pizza tasted just okay- I'm more used to the Pizzas here in Brooklyn. But the Garlic Buffalo Wings were delicious- Order two additional plates of it. *More of a 2.5than a 3* Ordered this for dinner on a Sunday at around 7 (normal dinner time) and had high hopes. Overall the pizza was okay...their margarita-esque pizza (grandma's pie) had fresh garlic and had a sharp taste because of it. The specialty pie we got didn't amaze us either. The toppings tasted fresh but were overcooked on the specialty pie and the dough was tasty and the crust was crisp but the pizza was floppy and soggy for both pies. Earlier this week, my girlfriend and I decided to get take out from here. We got the shrimp scampi and stuffed shells. It was ready quick (20 min after we ordered) and the server was nice. When we started eating, we quickly realized it was not what we thought. My scampi was COVERED in garlic. I removed as much as I could off the surface and there was enough to fill the lid of the container that came with it. Once I got past that I was excited to try the food and again I was disappointed. The pasta and shrimp were both bland as could be and I only ate enough right then and there to be satisfied. The only thing going for it at that point was the fact I liked shrimp and that there was such a gracious portion. My girlfriend often gets stuffed shells and her meal was disappointing as well. It lacked much flavor as it wasn't seasoned at all. So, with the leftovers I was able to take it for lunch the following day. I added some Adobo seasoning and it was pretty good, until I was up all night with food poisoning. After calling and speaking with the owner, he is paying for a few meals so we can give it another shot. I'm hoping this is just a one off thing where I just ordered the wrong thing. We had an eggplant grinder- it had a lot of eggplant and homemade sauce with pieces of tomatoes and lots of cheese. One of the best eggplant grinders we've ever had. It was a foot long and only about $13. More than enough for two people. Highly recommend! read more

Little Italy in the Price Chopper Plaza in Cobleskill NY has been a staple for many years. The restaurant is quite deep with a long counter and pizza ovens on the left paralleled by tables on the right. Midway back, a partition separates the restaurant leading to the dining room. There is ample seating but it can get quite busy during peak hours. I selected the Prime Rib special which is served with cubed potatoes which I requested not to have since we are doing Keto. I requested a vegetable on the side which was broccoli. My sweetheart had the Chicken Scarpariello without pasta and with the broccoli as well. My Prime Rib was brought out with the potatoes which is troublesome because I don't need to look at them when I can't eat them. The Prime Rib, which I requested medium, was a bit over done but not too far off. It was quite flavorful with a demi-glacé, but I did find it over salted to the point it detracted from the beef and could really turn off some diners. The broccoli side was al dente to the extreme, it definitely needed more time. My sweetheart enjoyed her Chicken Scarpariello, she added her side broccoli to her dish but also found it al dente. It is safe to say you will get a decent meal at Little Italy and they definitely have a following of regulars. I've tried several places around Cobleskill for pizza so far. And thus far this is the best. I love the different options they have. Their Buffalo pizza is amazing, and they even have broccoli pizza! Which you just don't see everywhere. Is it the best pizza I've ever tasted? No. But I love the different styles and creative toppings. It's a really good option for a pizza night, or if you're just in the mood for pizza and don't feel like traveling outside of Cobleskill. Stopped in for take out, (we didn't order ahead), and waited there for less than 30 minutes for them to make our pizza. I'm not sure if that's typical or not, but it was nice, very short wait. The cashier was friendly and polite. The table we sat at while waiting for the pizza was clean. I didn't see any staff wearing masks, and my husband and I were the one of the only ones waiting that did wear masks. I would assume and hope people are vaccinated, but being careful is never bad. Overall place seems nice. I would recommend it if you want pizza in the Cobleskill area. read more

Wow. I want to start with that because I was saying "Wow," with everything the server brought us. We ordered calamari to start, and it was a dish large enough for four people to share. It was tender, and the marinara sauce was delicious. My husband and I both got the Chicken Marsala. Each order was served in an enormous pasta bowl. We could have easily shared one order. We were too stuffed to eat anymore, but it was so incredible after the meal...we had to order two amazing desserts: carrot cake and lemon cake, which we took to go. A fantastic pie called The Little Italy Garden Pie was on the table for lunch and what a pie it was! Whole roasted garlic cloves, roasted red peppers, sautéed spinach, fresh mozzarella and a chunky light tomato sauce atop some of the best crust we've had in a while. It's a bit of a drive for us, but if we're in the area, this will be our spot for pizza. I can't speak for their entrees, but their menu looked like the usual Italian fare with moderate prices. I love, love, love thier pizza, pasta and tortellini soup. I was Cobleskill several times over the past few weeks and I ate here almost every day if not multiple times a day. The tortellini and chicken broth soup it is delicious and just the thing on a freezing snowy day. Speaking of snowy days Little Italy Pizza was open on a day when there was a snow storm and there was 32 inches of snow coming down now thats dedication. The lasagna is amazing. In the area for my grandson's baseball tournament in Cooperstown. Was looking for a nearby place on a Sunday evening. I've had some of the best Italian food around the NYC and Boston area, however, this is right up there!! The place got busy as I sat there, enjoyed my Peroni, ordered the Veal Gismundo, with a salad and glass of house chianti, had to be one of the best meals I EVER had!
