An amazing evening having dinner with our friends. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. The staff were exceptional providing fast, and not pushy service. We didn't feel rushed like some restaurants do as soon as you're done. I ordered the Chicken Palazzo which was a tasty chicken sautéed in a butter sauce served over a bed of spinach with garlic and covered in melted mozzarella cheese. There was a side dish of pasta which I thought their sauce was very tasty. Overall one of my tastiest dishes I've had in a long time. My wife enjoyed the Eggplant Parmigiana with a side of pasta. All dinners come with a fresh salad and your choice of dressing. This place will definitely see us again! read more

Friday night date night this week. Called to make a reservation in the afternoon for 6pm and had the choice or inside, outside or the bar area. At the time it was perfect temperature out so I opted for outdoors. Showed up around 6pm parking lot was getting busy. Walked into plenty of seating inside and out. There was a sign that there was going to be music outdoors. So we ended up just sitting at the bar. Service was great our bartender was attentive and helpful. We modified a couple of the menu items and had questions about how dishes were prepared and he was able to get us our answers. We got a couple drinks, apps, dinners and a to go. Ordered the: caprese salad, bacon wrapped asparagus, Chicken parm with vodka sauce with choice of pasta (not technically on the menu) and a twin lobster fra diablo over pasta (technically not on the menu). Pepperoni Pizza to go. Dinners came with a house salad choice of dressing. Everything was tasty, the chicken parm cutlet was very thin and scrumptious vodka sauce. Will definitely be ordering that again. Only criticism would be the portion size of the chicken to pasta ratio was off, I would have liked a little more pasta. The bacon wrapped asparagus was delicious every piece tasted like bacon and even if it didn't have a piece on it. Previously the palazzo burgers have been ordered to go and they are spot on everytime. Only complaint well not even complaint but a suggestion would be that they don't give enough steak fries with the burgers, we always have to order a separate order. It did get a little loud in the place and the tables filed up around us. The outdoor area is nice though with umbrellas, couches and fire pits. Awesome new neighborhood restaurant with that family friendly feel. Will be back to try more dishes! read more

Another great meal! I highly recommend the Portabella appetizer. That was amazing! I had a Caesar salad and the linguine with white clam sauce. It was so good. They even gave me a special treat for my birthday! I can't say this enough, come have a meal here and you will not be disappointed. Super friendly staff and great service. Didn't even realize it was restaurant week and did not have a reservation. Greeted right away, super friendly staff. We got a table in the lounge. Our server Alyssa was very nice. Took great care of us. We had cocktails , app and entrees. Too full for dessert. The arancini was really good, salads came with entrees which is nice. Veal sorrento with capellini and the chicken special (bone in chicken breast with mushroom glaze, truffle mashed potatoes and candied Brussels. ) everything was excellent. It took 45 mins to get are appetizers of mozzarella sticks and we had to send them back because they were ice cold still in the middle, and 1 hr in they finally brought out are dinner and it is what I would expect if I ordered Italian from McDonald's. It was awful . I will never go back. But my waitress was very nice. read more

First time at The Palazzo Ristorante Thu 3/20/25. There were 6 in our party for lunch. Did not get the name of our server, O#15918. Very nice setting inside across from the bar. They also have a spacious outdoor patio in the front of the restaurant. Open Mon 4-8:00pm, Tue-Sat 11am-8:30pm, Closed Sun. We ordered some apps - bacon wrapped shrimp ($18), calamari fritti ($17), & Caprese ($16). Also 2 soups ($8ea). A wide variety of lunches are offered. We had Arancini ($16), Caesar salad w/ chicken ($18), steak & gorgonzola salad ($17), black & blue burger ($17), eggplant panini ($18), & Tuscan chicken panini ($18). 3 desserts - lemon raspberry cheesecake ($8) & 2 ricotta pistachio cake ($8ea). We came here for the first time after hearing they were doing a soft opening. We made a reservation since we weren't sure how crowded it was going to be. OMG, the food is soooooo good!! We got calamari and mozzarella sticks for appetizers, YUM. The food took some time to come out but it was definitely worth it, plus they just opened, we gave them credit for trying their hardest to get food out. Our waiter was so nice and attentive, checked on us as much as he could, and he was really funny too! The place is really nice inside, Italian themed but not super formal. Just wish they made their own fresh every day not frozen dough. Pizza is great! I'll admit I have only had appetizers and some are good some blah. Two reasons I've never tried a full meal- I have yet to have a great app experience and I can't bring myself to pay $30 For chicken parm in Rotterdam (the. Italian capital of upstate NY) when very delicious parm is about $15 at least 4 places I can think of. With that said- I will return- I'm determined to love it. If you're looking for a really nice night out at a beautiful place and don't care about cost-go for it. Still have Hope and it is a nice place. Can be casual or fancy at the same time. After the great reviews we were excited to try Palazzo. We were warmly greeted by a cheerful hostess and seated right away. The server was friendly and the food arrived promptly. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food. The zucchini fritters were heavy, greasy and too cheesy with no hint of Zucchini. Our entree of mussels were inedible-too salty, spicy with none of the usual broth and way too much tomato. We brought this to the attention of our server and there was no offer to remove from the bill. The greens and beans were another disappointment. When we received the bill we were shocked to see a $5 extra charge for the side dish of pasta which we were never told about ahead of time. All in all it's a friendly and lively atmosphere. Located on Hamburg Street in Rotterdam, The Palazzo is a modern casual restaurant and bar offering Italian American cuisine and a full bar menu, which is in their soft opening phase. The place offers indoor table seating and seating up at the bar. There is also a spacious outdoor patio (open soon) with additional table seating, heat lamps, and another bar outside. I stopped by The Palazzo for an early dinner very recently. It was Wednesday and they were offering BOGO Spaghetti & Meatballs dinners with salad & bread for dine-in only, no takeout allowed. I was going to get this special if my buddy was with me. I instead went with the Haddock Al Forno ($27 plus tax) served with penne with tomato sauce, side salad and bread. The side salad served in a bowl had crisp romaine lettuce, cucumber, vipe ripe tomatoes, black olives and a creamy thick bleu cheese dressing (my choice) on top. The basket of standard Italian bread slices came with butter and a balsamic vinegar/olive oil mix for dipping, which was really good. The haddock entrée and the side bowl of penne arrived about 15 minutes after the side salad and bread. The good sized portion had fresh baked haddock topped with herbs, white wine and lots of butter over sauteed spinach. The haddock was very hot and had a nice soft texture. The soft cooked penne had a good tomato sauce on top and I was given a bottle of grated parmesan cheese for my food. I finished all of the food and I did not leave room for dessert. The check was presented with was $28.04 (cash)/$29.16 (card) with tax and before tip. Overall, I was able to enjoy great food at this new Italian restaurant while listening to classical Italian music over the speakers and the service was efficient and prompt. If they still offer the Wednesday Spaghetti special, I will bring my buddy with me or my appetite. From start to finish our expierence was a 5. On 9/4 everyone was super friendly and attentive. Our waiter was excellent. He answered all our questions. He even successfully checked if one of the specials could be made with a garlic sauce vs a red sauces.the Lemon Cheesecake was beyond delicious. When you go leave room for dessert. We visited Palazzo recently and were excited to try a new local restaurant. We were also impressed by the great reviews. Unfortunately our experience did not match up to the many 5 star reviews. To start out on a positive note, we couldn't have been happier with the friendliness of the hostess and waitstaff. The portion sizes of the food were also good. But when it came to the quality of the food, it was at best mediocre, especially for the high prices. Many of the dishes on the menu are Italian but we were disappointed by the authenticity. The marinara sauce lacked flavor, the greens and beans were mushy and way too oily, and the zucchini flowers heavy and oily and more like overly breaded mozzarella sticks. I've had zucchini flowers at other Italian restaurants and they've been lightly breaded to allow for the flavors to come through. I was disappointed they were not made in the true traditional Italian way. Two guests in our party had the Haddock and while the portion size was good and had plenty of spinach, the dish was over sauced and swimming in butter. Given the high prices I expected much higher quality and more authenticity to the Italian cooking. To us, it was a big disappointment. Given Palazzo is a new restaurant and understandably finding its footing, we hope they'll take our comments into consideration. read more

Very disappointed in this place. Went for our first time for a birthday dinner. Made reservations in advance for 6 PM and when we were being seated, they told us we had to eat in an hour as they had a big party coming in and were going to oblige them and we had to eat fast and be out by seven. We were going out for a good meal, not a rush job. The manager was summoned, and I said we had reservations he really did not care as the "big" party was going to take preference. The birthday girl was disappointed. He was rude, I was rude, and we left to eat at elsewhere. I have never been treated like this before. He made no concessions and we left. Very poor customer service by the 'Manager". Why do you take reservations? I said we will not be back and the "manager" gave an attitude and did not care. Very poor place. Sadly, the Calamari Fritti was not good at all. Way to hard! We didn't even finish the dish and not is not like us. The Chicken medallion dish was good with the onions and brown sauce, side pasta, bread for table & service. Five of us had 2 drinks each, one Calamari Fritti app for the table and each had a dinner. Everyone said their dinner was good. Bill came to $325 without tip. We ended up with tip at $80 each. To me that is a lot. I think the prices are a bit too high for the dinners. The dessert was good too. We had the Ricotta Pistachio, and it was delicious. I bought the same thing at Restaurant Depot a few weeks ago and knew it would be good. I hope they succeed. read more

I've never called a restaurant to check on hours and showed up almost 2 hours before "close" to have the employees turn the lights off not let us in. We called at 4pm and were told they close at 7. We all showed up at 5:15pm when they locked the doors and turned off the lights. Wack establishment. read more

Told me they were open till 8 PM football only which was fine pulled in the parking lot at 5:30 and the bartender or whoever was working shut all the lights off and would not let us in the bar happy birthday to me.
