Steak was super crispy, which is hard to find for some reason. Gravy was plentiful and flavorful. Pancakes were that perfect combo of firm but soft and buttery on the inside. This is like a local breakfast type diner with Jerry Seinfeld theme. When I walked in, the waitress told me to sit wherever. After looking at the menu, the dishes had Seinfeld themed names. We were going to go to another place, however, we had to have a reservation, so we were told about this spot as we were walking back to the car. It's a cute ole spot, again it had a nice sweet charm. The cook (I assume owner) really took care of us. Again, I got the sausage and hashbrowns and they were fine. My son got some eggs benedict and my husband got some beef with veggies and egg. I had left the house early in the morning before work, since I had so much time I decided I'd grab breakfast and while I am not Jerry Seinfeld fan, I heard this place makes decent food and it was close enough to work and somewhere I've never been before so I decided to give it a try. Walking in I noticed it's a very little diner, not very busy as there was only one other customer, floors were a bit dirty and lots of Seinfeld memorabilia along the walls as well as the popular show playing on tv's. I wasn't greeted or assisted right away as everyone working was in the back of the kitchen when I walked in. I grabbed my own menu as I saw a stack of them before the waitress finished her conversation with the cook in the kitchen. Looking over the menu, I saw an option for French toast that sounded heavenly: "the soulmate" which is french toast with sliced bananas, almonds and caramel so basically bananas foster french toast so my first instinct was to order that but then I also noticed "puffy shirt" which is a monte cristo and when I see a monte cristo sandwich on a menu, i pretty much always go that route so I ended up ordering the puffy shirt. I've had lots of delicious monte cristo sandwiches in my life but unfortunately this one didn't really hit the spot for me. The french toast bread was actually pretty good but the ham was burnt and I removed and didn't eat most of that, the jelly they used tasted like cheap a** smuckers... maybe I'm just a spoiled princess but normally when I order this sandwich other places they use homemade berry preserves and it's excellent. I got home fries as my side and those weren't anything special either.. they were hard and chunky potatoes. I ate about half of them. On top of that, the restaurant was cold and service left much to be desired.. I basically did part of the waitress's job for her by getting up and grabbing my own napkins and a straw for my water in addition to my own menu. Atmosphere overall was okay but not super welcoming. I started pondering what might have been had I gone with "the soulmate" instead and got it as an order to go and lesson learned: always go with your first instinct. If you get anything here, get French toast and I'd say take it to go as the experience eating here isn't the greatest. 2 stars for the soulmate French toast but I likely won't eat here again. read more

Little Jerry's was a great find! On the way to the airport needed some food so found this "hole in the wall". It was the exact small-town diner feel that I wanted. Service was wonderful. Had the entire place talking to one another. Food was amazing!! Had the "Ticket" which was hashbrowns topped with a biscuit, chicken fried steak, 2 eggs, and smothered with sausage gravey. My tummy is growling thinking about this breakfast. Pancakes, eggs and sausage for my partner also didn't disappoint. They have a pretty expansive menu, both breakfast and lunch served until the afternoon. I had over easy eggs, bacon, mozzarella and avocados over home fries. It came with toast. Being set in New York and having some Yankees memorabilia on the walls, I expected some more Yankee fandom being displayed considering this is October and the Yankees are in the playoffs. Where's the love?!?! I just had eggs, bacon, and kielbasa. Yep, all protein breakfast. My dad ordered the Understudy and my brother the Puddy. Again, without comment, great food. Why 4 stars? I would suggest the owners do a refresh to liven up and bring in some fresh ambiance. Keep the Seinfeld theme, it works, but rotate through some other New York fandom items. We went in the afternoon so there was only 2-3 other people there. I read in the reviews where some people had really long wait times well, I found out why. There is another dining room in the back, not just the few tables by the entrance, and there is only 1 waitress and 1 cook (the owner). We sat near the kitchen and I noticed the cook can only do 1 order at a time and anyone who has ever been a short order cook knows it is vital that your able to multi task or your going to get behind before you know it. Example: cook your fries while your hamburgers are frying etc... We got the French dip sandwiches. We waited over 45min! The food was piping hot and tasted good. The serving size is big. The au jus dipping sauce was from an instant packet which was disappointing because it's easily made from scratch (there was some powder left at the bottom of the cup). They also do an ample take out business. Waitress said they had over 20 people in that morning for breakfast and she was having to serve every table! My wife and I stopped into Little Jerry's for breakfast before heading back home from Tacoma. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. Indoors is small and narrow. There are two sides to Jerry's. The backside is a bit larger than the entrance side. I wouldn't recommend Jerry's for large parties. There is one non-gender restroom for all to use. Jerry's doesn't offer alcohol so my wife had a cup of coffee for $2 and I stuck to water. We shared the Chicken Roaster for $11: home fries topped with a biscuit, chicken strips, bacon, scrambled eggs and sausage gravy. We also shared a side of Avocado for $1.50. Our breakfast choice was fun, tasty and gluttonous. We enjoyed every single bite. Jerry's isn't the place to dine if you're in a hurry. We were fortunate to get seated right away. During our visit, there were people waiting to be seated. Meals also take a significant amount of time to be prepared. It was obvious from the clientele that most, if not all, were regulars. Everyone was so friendly (close seating quarters) and extremely fond of "their" local breakfast/burger joint. Staff members knew their patrons by name. Making new friends and learning of Jerry's history made the wait worth it. Staff members were friendly, efficient and team players. This place was a surprising gem. I knew nothing about this place before walking in but its a resteraunt based around the show "Seinfeld". All the dishes names are based on episodes from the show. Looking from the outside in this sounds like it would be terrible but this place has an ace up its sleeve...They have the best cook in the world, his name is Tony. A pleasant surprise for breakfast! We flew into Washington for a wedding in Olympia and of course, I truly had a desire to test the food scene in cities outside of Seattle.
