Really enjoyed this pls e. So funky with fantastic friendly vibe. They have outside, main area and bar area and each has different vibe. Outdoor is chill, warm and easy going vibe. Main area is cool, fun and layback vibe, and e bar area is enjoying great drinks & adults vibe. The staff here are wonderful, friendly, and very attentive. The place is clean, spacious, funky but fun decor. Menu is great with plenty of choices for everyone's preference. Drinks are fantastic and we'll make. The foods are quite good. We just had drinks and snacks but they are well made. Parking is okey, they do have small parking lot but plenty of street parking and neighborhood's street parking too. Love the place.

My third review update and I am not ashamed!! Since my last one in 2022, I've had a handful more experiences with E9 Firehouse, all of them being extremely positive. Let's start with last year - my husband and I, before we got married, did a joint Bachelorette/Bachelor party and part of the evening was coming here for dinner with our closest friends and family. Our group had about 30 people in it, so we knew we wanted to try and get one of the private spaces. I reached out via email and got a reply within 24 hours and the guy who helped me was extremely responsive and helpful! We reserved the small downstairs room and much to my surprise we didn't have to pay a deposit or sign any sort of agreement - it was just a written promise to have our entire group of 30 spend $500 total. Among that many people with apps, entrees, and drinks, that's a steal! And did I mention that they let us do separate checks? Not only that, but they had servers prepped and ready for our group and they handled our large party with ease. They helped make our night so memorable and fun! Now, to move on... In my last review I mentioned the Fish Tacos which are still admittedly so good, but I've since tried their Famous Fire Pasta and it has me in a CHOKEHOLD. I literally can't order anything besides that when I'm here. You can tell the pasta is made fresh in-house, and the sauce has a light kick to it and so much flavor. When we were here over this past weekend (my husband picked here for a birthday lunch) I got my tried and true Fire Pasta but also tried their soup of the day which was a Thai Coconut Curry with rice and it was so bomb! Amazing flavor, 10/10. My husband tried their new Blackened Chicken Wrap and he was a fan. E9 Firehouse is easily one of our favorite Tacoma restaurants and it'll continue to be in our rotation.

Nice sunny day today so I decided to give this spot a try . Great location, nice outdoor seating and atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service from their friendly staff. Also the beer menu really makes this place awesome Put it on your list!

Cold. The E9 was cold.Did not seem like there was any heat in the place. So,that made my dining experience a little uncomfortable. But to compensate for the cool interior, the staff were very efficient and friendly. We enjoyed our meals and the service.Generous on the fish and chips and a sturdy burger dip.History exudes from the walls of this converted fire station.Wonderful collection of paraphernalia.Lots of room for families and a cosy bar area.Large patio, which is very popular....but be wary of the horse chestnut in the Fall!

Garlic Tots & The Haven pizza (gf)

E9 has a cool vibe being that it's in an old firehouse built in 1907 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. We chose to sit outside under the huge horse chestnut tree. Be careful, these large and heavy chestnuts fall frequently, and can fall right onto your head or food. The food was pretty good. They offered gluten free pizza crust ansd hamburger buns at no extra charge, which I thought was a nice touch. We ordered The Haven pizza and a side of garlic tots to go with our cider & beer. The pizza came out as a shareable size with a thinner crust. Most of the ingredients were centered toward the middle, which made the slices challenging to hold to take a bite. The flavors were good. The tots were crunchy and hot, but we were left wondering where the garlic was. Next time, I would like to come at night for a drink and a snack with some friends. It seems like the perfect place to socialize.

Great dive bar with a solid happy hour menu. They've got some cheap drinks options for those that need to give their wallets a bit of a break. Sandwiches and pizzas were pretty good - I was fairly pleasantly surprised by the food and would go back again. Service was quick, fast, helpful. Cool vibe with firefighter themes and decor.

your "american" bar menu but wait, there's more! kinda place LOL. they have a huge menu and has your classics like patty melt, mushroom swiss, wings, pizza, salads, chicken strips, pastas, etc. They have tater tots as an option (along with fries of course) -- i mean for me... already a big win.! But seriously also different gems like caramelized onions as toppings in burgers or an impossible burger option, also a smash burger since the new craze. but a specials menu with pulled pork sliders, yakisoba, a french dip and my personal fave is the maple dijon chicken sandwich. this chicken sandwich hits every category it should.. huge, crispy, sweet and tangy (from the maple dijonaise), acid to cut the richness (from the pickles), umami (bacon jam). i had this once and keep coming back for it time and time again... consistency! the staff are friendly and also beer is great. i absolutely LOVE the inside which is an old fire station,... literally. there is a pole and the old parts of the station in there and it's just really so very cool. in the summer they open up seating outside and it's just a vibe for me. you can either wait to be seated or head straight to the bar section where it's open seating. sometimes they do get busy so expect to wait during peak times!

We loved coming here! I came with family to celebrate my father-in-laws' birthday back in April. All of the food was sooooo good. Our server was very friendly and the prices were fair for the very large portions. Only reason this isn't getting 5 stars is because it seemed they were understaffed because the service was pretty darn slow. Our waitress had a lot of tables.

I really love this place! So much to look at and such rich history! The food is great and they have Happy Hour during the week. I love their soup n salad meal. They have shuffleboard and many seating options. Check it out!

Came here two days in a row. First time was for the food (I got the chicken parm sandwich which was delicious so I recommend!) and second was for the bar. If you like beer from a brewery, this spot is for you. I had a few pints as well as a margarita and it was so good.

Quiet day this Monday. Monthly lunch with friends brought us to E9. Plenty of seating, friendly staff and great food. Great decor! Opted for the Onion Ring Burger. Great combo. Crispy onion rings on top of a great patty with bacon and BBQ aioli. I skipped the cheese. Choice of tots or battered fries-my choice- and they were top notch!!! Accompanied with a Seapine Hefeweizen and my lunch was the bomb!!!

From the comfortable…read moreenvironment, great-tasting food, and its STELLAR Employees, this place is a perfect place to enjoy a night out or to celebrate a birthday (which was the reason we were there tonight.) I reserved a table (for a large party of 9) conveniently on Open Table which made the process easy and effortless two days prior to our reservation. On the day of our reservation I received a call from a very friendly staff member Jace (forgive my spelling if it's incorrect) who confirmed our reservation and also asked if we had kids in our party because of the age restriction for the outside seating. I thought that was very considerate of him to do so as he was being proactive and courteous at the same time! When I checked in, I immediately was greeted by Jace who was beyond welcoming in person as he was on the phone. He guided us to our table and made us all feel welcome. We then were presented with our hardworking and endearing Server Kat who was so patient with all of us, was proactive in setting up plates for our Birthday cake (we had brought with us - as we were granted with permission by the restaurant). Throughout our experience, Kat took care of our needs, fulfilled our delicious food orders with accuracy, and the other hardworking Server Ethan also ensured our drinks were filled. Seriously, the Employees are what made our celebratory Birthday even more special!! And also, our the wonderful Manager Brandon made sure we were all taken care of and even personally said goodbye as he walked with us out the door! We only live down the street from this restaurant as my husband and I have lived in Washington for about three years. But rest assure we will be coming back again and again because of the great food but more importantly of the Employees - Jace, Kat, Ethan, and Brandon....and the rest of the Restaurant!

Always overcooked, cheese is hardened and well beyond melted, but a massive portion in size. The sandwiches are amazing, the quesadillas are amazing, have yet to make it there before breakfast ends but I'm betting it's probably pretty good. Staff are friendly, efficient, and do well on checking to make sure you're not waiting too long for service without being too bothersome. It gets a little loud, busy and crowded on nights especially on the weekends, but that's typical bar atmosphere. Patio seating is nice on sunny days like today. 5/5 for a hometown spot in the neighborhood.

We were the only people in the dining room for lunch the entire time until our last 10 mins. This restaurant is inside a casino in Fife. Parking is interesting, and the casino itself is in the middle of a reno so it looks a bit messy but otherwise it is fine. Kudos to them for trying to make the outside section nice because the view kind of kills it. Pros - it's a very nicely designed space. The hostess and our waitress were so nice and welcoming, even giving me a stool for my bag (and it wasn't even my fanciest bag lol!) Overall, the restaurant is nice, the food seems to be mostly fresh and good quality and service was nice. I actually quite enjoyed my ribeye, despite our broccolinni having no almonds, as stated on the menu. My affogato was good, and the cake frosting and flavors were good. Cons - I say these with love...but we both feel the kitchen was not up to par, or the main chef was off, or something happened because there were quite a few mishaps during our visit. The appetizers were good, but the scallops needed salt and I would not pair them with pineapple, personally. The calamari weren't the most tender, and the breading was interesting - it's definitely not your typical breading, it suited a fish and chips dish better. The sweet and spicy sauce served with it is from trader Joe's...I know because I've bought it before, so I don't believe it's house made. Like I previously stated, the broccolinni was missing the almonds, and the carrots on the side that I ordered for $13 were so embarrassing that the waitress came back after serving us and told us that she spoke to the manager and got those off our bill. That's how ridiculous they were, so thank you to her for having good values at work. While I liked my steak, it was very, very fatty, and my husband asked for medium rare and definitely got medium well. Lastly, the pink champagne cake was disappointing, not because it was yucky, but because the cake itself was clearly days old, and had been freshly frosted. It was tough, dry and stale, while the frosting was fresh and light. Overall, I can see coming back but I'm in no rush due to the price/location/overall food.
