This was our first time visiting this restaurant, and unfortunately, it will also be our last. When we arrived at 10:47 a.m., the hostess informed us there would be a long wait due to a large party. We completely understood and were willing to be patient. However, after being seated and placing our order, we waited over an hour -- and never received our food. Not once did anyone check on our table to provide an update or apologize for the delay. To make matters worse, we saw multiple parties who arrived after us receive their food while we were still waiting with no communication. At 12:03 p.m., after 1 hour and 16 minutes with no food and no follow-up, we asked to cancel our order. No one asked why, no one attempted to check on the status of our meal, and no one tried to make the situation right. Poor service and lack of basic communication made this an extremely disappointing experience. We will not be returning. read more

Vacationing in Graham Washington, visiting our Son, we happen to stop and try out this place. So happy we did! The food was amazing and delicious! I had biscuits and gravy with eggs, bacon, hash browns and it was probably the best I have ever eaten! My husband's had the farmers plate and he couldn't stop saying how much he loved it! All the portions are large so bring your appetite, worth every penny spent! We can't wait to come back on our next visit. Immediately upon walking in, the atmosphere is very cozy. The whole restaurant feels timeless and comfortable, like a warm hug. The service was prompt and polite. The hostess as well as the server both had wonderful smiles and friendly, warm temperaments. The server checked in early and often. The food came quickly in about 15 minutes, and it was absolute perfection. My friend and I both had chicken fried steak and eggs. The chicken fried steak was tender and juicy on the inside, but crisp with a slight breaded crunch on the outside. It was exactly how I picture a perfect chicken fried steak. The steak was topped with thick and creamy white gravy which had a delectable balance of gentle cream, mouthwatering umami, and pepper to balance. The eggs were cooked over easy and couldn't have been made better. The white and yolk balance was a textbook over easy cook. The hash browns were in a very large slab. They were soft and squishy on the inside with a medium-dark brown top and bottom layer. Perfect! The only disappointment of the meal was the biscuit, which was very large and fluffy. However, it was fairly dry and flavorless. To be fair, the butter and jam made it taste good, but the biscuit itself was lacking in flavor and moisture. All-in-all, the meal was an ideal chill brunch in terms of ambience, service, and food quality. The prices are reasonable, and worth coming back for regularly. 10/10 recommend anybody in the area tries at least once. read more

This place has been in existence forever. I went here back in the 90s and came back recently. I had the corned beef hash and was pleasantly surprised that literally nothing has changed. You would think making a chefs salad would be a no brainer. we ordered food to go and I ordered the salad. Specifically ask for croutons on the side. I discovered this terrific old-school family diner while wheeling-in hand trucks loaded with cases of food as a delivery driver for US Foods and Sysco in 2022 and 2023. Delivery drivers typically service 70 to 90 customers a week. This gives us unparalleled insight into who is nice, who cares about food, and whose kitchen is clean. Country Rose ranks high in all three. They were also big recipients of a delicious blackberry pie I had never seen before at any location. I order it every time I'm there now. The staff is full of longtime employees, which is rare in the food industry. The guy running the back was both competent, firm and nice. Same for the kitchen and wait staff. Country Rose Cafe embodies the best of old-school values. If they had a meal plan I would be there every day. Their breakfast, pot roast, meat loaf and open face turkey sandwiches all made an impression. But the blackberry pie is the showstopper. So much so that I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't had it. My husband, baby and I came here for breakfast and we were not disappointed. I love the atmosphere, it kind of reminds me of like an older Denny's or Shari's. The service was great, everyone we encountered was so kind and friendly. We did go on a Sunday morning so it was busy, but service was still great! I love that when you order coffee, they give you a small coffee pot so you can refill your coffee without having to bother them. Our food came out pretty quickly, everything was so so fresh and the portions I would say are very generous. I am here at all different hrs of the day. I have actually become a regular. The service is impeccable, prompt, polite and extremely patient. A very no rush attitude. Relaxed dining with hood food. On occasion the food was "off" par but quickly fixed and charges reduced or not charged. The staff is always on their toes and gracious. I come back over and over for all the above reasons and more. The personable attitude from all is greatly appreciated. I have no desire to go to another restaurant. The meals are big and very cost effective. My husband and I came for a Thursday night dinner for some breakfast for dinner. (Football was playing on the TVs.) We were sat in a booth, which environment and cleanliness was spot on, as expected since it was a weeknight. We were sat about the same time as another couple and a father/child. We usually take an extra minute to look over the menu to make sure what we wanted to order. The menu offers a variety of items from entree to all-day breakfast items. In the meantime, we ordered our drinks, and that came in a timely manner. But sometimes it takes an extra second for the server to come back. We understand that we're not the only table being served, so we can wait a little. But it wasn't a one time thing, we had to flag our (or a different) server a couple times for other things (e.g. napkins) Upon finishing up, we watched as the other couple was thanked and closed out with a "thank for coming in...", and so this is about the time I was looking for a to-go box, but again found myself searching for our server. My husband had to find our server to close out. Overall it was a great. Very relaxed on the service, I suppose since it was a weekday. Food is amazing. As this was my 2nd time visit (first time during the weekend) I ordered a sandwich. Loved it. Can't speak for my husband but he finished it all, so I guess that speaks for itself. read more
