We found it on recommendation and it was a gem. Located in a strip mall area we seemed to hit the timing just right for a Sunday crowd. Every plate that passed by looked better than the rest and we had a hard time narrowing down choices . We went w a traditional 2 piece portion and chose the pecan and blueberry corn bread w the pecan spread and the days special of peach butter . We chose the potato wedges and the sweet potatoes Our server Joesph was as charming as could be and all the staff was so helpful. It was true southern hospitality in a family environment. And it was the chicken was cooked to order, came out super hot, and was both crispy and juicy. The greens were super flavorful and needed no added spices. I'm not a big cornbread guy but took a couple bites anyway. The jalapeños weren't over powering and offset the sweetness a little. My server was amazing!!! She greeted me as soon as I walked with lively smile and great attitude. At first I was confused if it was fast casual or full service as they takeout section is in the center of the restaurant. She explained that you can do both, so opted to stay for lunch. I wish I could recall name, because she is worth requesting.

I managed about ten, and everything was well prepared, generous, and full of flavor. The communal-table atmosphere makes the meal feel less like dining at a restaurant and more like being welcomed into a very large Savannah family dinner. The service was warm and attentive, and the whole experience felt genuine rather than staged for tourists. For anyone visiting Savannah, Mrs. Wilkes is a must. Come hungry.

There's a stage, and I was told there live music and weekly events that happen. Bar seating is a little tight, I recommend sitting at a table if you're with a group or even with one other person. The HVAC unit drips a bit, we changed seats a few times to avoid it. The cornbread loaf is yummy. Great flavors and a little crispy. I'd love to see something down with the cornbread (I'm sure there's something on the menu), the flavors would go well with a main dish! I ordered the southern Seoul blt and my husband ordered the shrimp and grits. Both had so much flavor! I will say, the meal was very heavy, so plan accordingly. My lavender gin cocktail wasn't my favorite, there was too much lavender in it - and that mixed with the heavy meal was too much on my stomach. The shrimp and grits were so good! Definitely one of the best in the city, there's only one other that my husband and I think is on par with this one. His old fashioned was pretty good as well. We'd definitely come back, the food is so good and the prices are fair. This is a great addition to the area, bringing in some different flavors.

First, the setting is absolutely beautiful. You're dining inside this gorgeous historic pink mansion, and you can feel the history and richness of the energy throughout the space. There is something so special about being there. It feels like an experience before you even get to the food. And speaking of those biscuits, they were genuinely some of the best biscuits I have ever put in my mouth. I could have eaten an entire basket by myself. We started with the goat cheese artichoke fritters, which were delicious. I also had the Low Country she-crab soup, and heavenly is really the only word for it. Rich, creamy, flavorful, just incredible. For dinner, I had the pecan-crusted chicken breast with blackberry bourbon glaze, sweet potato with pecan vanilla butter, and string beans. It was so, so good. Every part of the plate worked beautifully together, and it was exactly the kind of Southern meal I was hoping to have while in Savannah. The service was fantastic, and throughout the evening we heard beautiful live music from some amazing singers. Between the historic setting, the incredible food, the hospitality, and the music, the entire evening felt truly special. Bravo to everyone who works there and makes this place what it is. What an exceptional experience. I genuinely cannot wait to go back.

The service by our waitress Kristen, who was also the sommelier, was top notch. She gave us great wine recommendations for the choices we made. She also gave us a picture of what was on the menu. We ordered the She Crab soup and BLT. The fried green tomatoes sold me on the Pink House's version of a deconstructed BLT. The biscuits are great for dipping not just a snack so be sure you help clean the plate with them. Yum. I ordered the Vidalia onion and Sweet potato ravioli with oyster mushrooms with pecans. It was the best thing between my wife and I. She had the fried flounder with a side of asparagus. Whole fish without the head. I thought the fish was delicious. Paired with the Reisling Kabinett, while the Pinot Noir Argyle went well with the Ravioli. For dessert I had the Pecan Basket. The vanilla with fruit in a pecan weave held the whole dessert together. The raspberry peach sorbet was delicate and sweet. Both desserts hit the spot along with the coffee to finish up the night. The light, tables, paintings and decorations were perfect for a romantic evening with your special someone or dinner with the family to celebrate a special occasion. Whatever the case, this visit capped a great weekend in Savannah and Tybee.

They really help with making decisions and even offer samples if you're indecisive(like me). They wear masks when packaging food and have an outdoor seating area. Both times I got my food to go, and was in and out pretty quickly. The homemade tropical punch is so good! If ordering a "made to order" menu item, expect to wait about 15 minutes. The curry shrimp is one of those items and I was not disappointed. My friend also got curry goat and the pork chop and both were SO GOOD! As always, I do wish they have more meat, but this is something I'm used to from Caribbean restaurants. BUT- they have all things on the menu when I went in, something that doesn't always happen at the Caribbean joints I'm used to.
