The food was okay. I called them first to make sure they're open and asked if they do cook to order or it's ready to serve (food) they have. The lady I spoke with on the phone said it's a buffet - eat all you can. And then she said they do combo, so I was a little confused but decided to just go there and find out myself. We drove an hour from Atlantic city and I was visiting from California. We stepped inside and found out that they don't have a buffet style but it's ala carte and combo food to go and you can also dine in coz there's table and seats also. My friend and I were in line next to the people ordering their food. When it was our turn, this older lady (server) was helping my friend with her order first, but the lady already got sinigang with rice and asking what else did my friend want. (Both of us were ordering 2 entrees) We were wondering why would she serve sinigang when we didn't order it. So we told the server we didn't order the sinigang. The lady then started acting weird and mean - telling the young lady (also a server) that she heard sinigang. She didn't get back to us abt what we want and didn't even apologize or anything. She just ignored us leaving us hanging and just helping someone else instead. The young lady ended up getting our order instead and she was nice. I was so upset how this older server (maybe she's the owner) made us feel! You have to treat your customers right when you're in business. I was visiting in NJ and drove far to try this Filipino food and she made us very uncomfortable. She's not friendly and very unprofessional and seems like a typical toxic "tita"! I'm sorry but I don't recommend this place. I can cook better. All the foods were served cold because they're just hanging there (display) for the people to buy them. Right after eating, my tummy was hurting a little. 20min later, I had an upset stomach and badly needed the restroom when we got to Costco! read more

They've got your pre-prepped hot food where you can get a combo box, small (can't remember price), medium for $9, or large container for $17. I had the pork adobo, pancit, a beef tomato carrot dish stew, a slightly spicy, lemon, vinegar pork dish and a shrimp, jackfruit and coconut milk dish. All were pretty good - except the jackfruit / shrimp dish which probably something I wasnt as used to. The jackfruit had the texture of cooked down bamboo (no crunch) and was good, but the flavor was a bit bland for me. The two pork dishes were on point though. I haven't had too many Filipino dishes, so I was a little intimidated going in but the staff is super nice and patient ! I'll be back to try other things. read more

Finding a place that has food from your home country is just very relaxing. I have been coming to this establishment for a couple of years now. The menu always changes everyday and it reminds me of home and I'm just so happy to that this place is here because some days I do get home sick. Heading to my In-laws today and wanted to grab a quick bite, Mini-Me and I love Filipino food, hands down, it's a comfort food made with love. Don't use Google Maps, that APP has gotten me lost in more places, so I used old school method of "seek and ye shall find" FYI- By address #, LOL- located on Lakewood Road (Rte 9) between Sunset Ave and Church Rd same shopping mall as the Dunkin Donuts. Good size parking lot so parking is not an issue. Walked in and smelled delicious food. BAM! Happy Place. Right away spotted Lechon and Pancit- looking at the hot food bar it, I was a kid in a candy store - what to get, what to get... The lady behind the counter explained what each dish was and this is always appreciated, Mini-Me already knew what she wanted... went with white rice and Chicken Adobo, I had the Dinuguan and Pork Adobo with Pancit. We also had 3 of the Turon (banana lumpia). In addition 1lb of Lechon (to go). We got our food to eat there and it didn't disappoint! Chicken Adobo was seasoned perfectly, Mini-Me wanted to eat it all but figured best to save some for dad. The Pancit had crispy but not raw vegetables hard to describe, but I like it a lot this way, wilted veg is never a good thing. The seasoning was good and I can see why some would say they under season, everyone is different and I think, in some cases it's better to just adjust a little for yourself, then the masses. The Pork Adobo was damn good, again- I had to save some for the Hubbs. The Dinuguan was all mine. I ate it all, oh so good. (need a moment here). Okay, there are different ways to make this delicious dish, I don't really have a preference, I just know, if its on the menu, I'm gonna order it. As Vanessa my besty from Ca would say, "I am the only non-Filipino she knows that would touch the stuff!". Might very well be true cuz- indeed I love this stuff and I miss eating Filipino food with her. People will read this review, then go look up this particular dish and say, Oh!!! But trust me, you need to try new things and this is one of those dishes. I raised my kids to try everything at least once. 1. Because you may travel and be exposed to different foods, if the locals eat it, its probably good.. 2. Chicken Nuggets in any form or fashion are not REAL. 3. Very tasty food. Relatively new cuisine for me. It is really different from any other ethnic dish that I can compare it to. Iwould best describe Filipino cuisine as a cross between Caribbian Spanish and Asian foods, collectively. Filipino food is generally considered to be on the lowest rung of the Asian food latter, and from my limited experience eating it, I'm inclined to agree. I am not a big fan of buffet style food, as almost all Filipino restaurants around here. The food here is pre-made and kept warm over sterno. However, given the quality of the cooking, I'll give them a pass. And at $9 for two dishes plus rice, it's a great value! I had the sauteed bitter melon & Pork Adobe. I love bitter melon from Chinese and Indian dishes, but it is an acquired taste for most Americans. The Adobo was a delicately spiced savoury stew . I only wish they had hot sauce. Filipino's are known for their hot sauces like banana hot sauce and the world famous Labuya sauce, made from Filipino bird's eye hot peppers, so I don't understand their absence from the condiments. Also had banana wrapped in fried dough covered in a caramel glaze that made the outside like a hard candy. That contrasted excellently with the soft banana inside. Unfortunately I forgot what it was called, but it was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and patiently explained the different dishes and gave me samples of whatever I wanted to try. Nice Restaurant. Very clean and airy. The hosts are a friendly bunch. When we got there they made us feel at home. My wife came with me on business and she made new friends at the restaurant. Food was very enjoyable. If you dine in, there is complimentary soup - - the sinagang was great. You can get the combo as either 1, 2, or 3 item combo. So if you are hungry or not so hungry you can adjust how much food to order. Halo-halo looked tasty but three times we ate there we were so full from eating that we could not order it. The restaurant is the traditional turo-turo - - but the food looked absolutely freshly cooked. BBQ sticks, Teryaki Chicken, and chicken empanadas were great - - we took some empanadas home to Connecticut. Turon was nice and crispy. They also have a Filipino Market (Little Divisoria) in the same strip mall (Victoria Plaza). Plenty of parking. Enjoy. read more

This traditional Filipino food store has its own grocery next door. It is true to Filipino in the word friendly! You will be greeted every time like a true friend (there is a Filipino place across the highway that could learn about being friendly.) The combo is a great deal, about 7 bucks for two items with either pancit or rice. They do not over season their food. It is always good, traditional, and using great ingredients. Some pass it for bland as they don't over season, for me it is very good. I wish they would have Lumpia but it seems that is only a special order. This place brings back memories of my friends' house from high school. Their mom's kitchen smells just like this place. Mmmm. It's a different kind of comfort food than what someone might be used to but delicious nonetheless. I've only been here once with a friend a while ago but be sure to ask what everything is so you're not getting a surprise. The people here are very friendly too. I stayed with chicken and beef (this place is definitely not for vegans). Upon my first bite the taste was pretty familiar and just as flavorful too. I took my two white friends there today and both had combos .. they were impress and wouldn't mind going back there.. I'm Filipino so I loved that they liked the food.. it was only the 3 of us eating there.. decent size table good for family to eat there.. lady in the counter was very helpful so we tip her well.. we were there for an hour and it does get good foot traffic so that's pretty good.. food is already made and you have to point which to get on your plate and your good to go.. if the food is not hot enough lady on the counter will heat the food for you.. price is reasonable and food is quiet good.. read more

We were by the area and I was craving some Filipino food for lunch. We almost didn't go here because we saw it had $$$. The good reviews swayed us to go. The titas who greeted us were very nice. They gave the place a homey vibe, like going to your grandma's for lunch. The food was delicious. We had 4 combos, an order of lechon, some empanadas, 2 orders of jeprox, 2 more ulams to go and our bill was only $60 something!
