Blue Mango Iced Tea: to-die-for. I'm a green tea lover, so the first time I set foot in Little Leaf Tea, I had very high standards. Their Blue Mango Iced Tea is the BEST green tea I've ever had! Unsweetened, it's incredibly tasty and not at all bitter. Very friendly service. I have a Little Leaf Tea card which rewards me for going often. They have a cornucopia of teas, so I love going back and trying something new. Fabulous variety of herbal AND green teas! (I don't drink black tea.) I also buy their loose leaf tea: One helpful girl allowed me to smell the tea leaves in the canister in order to choose. I ended up buying way more tea than I had planned, and it was the best tea I've ever had. (Okay, I really hadn't planned on buying ANY loose leaf tea there. I thought it might be too pricey, but it's a good value and high quality!) Bought a tasty oolong as well as the blue mango green tea in loose leaf form. Hubby loves the apricot herbal tea. A nice surprise: They have a delectable seaweed salad! Much better and fresher than Whole Foods. So glad this friendly couple opened up a neighborhood tea place in MY neighborhood! Right now I'm a senior at Bullard high just down the street from little leaf. I quite like pretty much every one of the nearly twenty teas I've tried here so far, today I got a hot green chai and it was quite delicious. Great place to unwind after school, and it unintentionally became an after school meeting place for our academic decathlon team at least once a week, even our coach is hooked on a special lemon/hibiscus black tea blend one of the employees engineered for him. I wish I had my own blend... If only I was more decisive/consistent with what I got... I've consciously gotten a different tea each time I've been here... Great place to study or catch up with a friend. I was there on a Sunday so it was pretty quiet. They have plenty of seating. The atmosphere is very casual. It feels simple - clean, good tea, great service, lots of natural light. I love the fact that this is a family owned, non-chain place. The owner is so friendly and helpful. He let me smell the different teas to help me decide and there are a whole ton of teas to choose from. Not to mention the tea is GOOD. I haven't tried the snacks yet, but might do so on another one of my studying days. I believe there is wifi but I did not use it that day. I do wish that it was open later. The word is out on Little Leaf Tea! I've been heading over to Teazer World Tea Market for years and once I heard of this place, I made it a point to give it a try. I didn't want to base my final review on the place based on one visit, so I finally feel comfortable writing my fair and unbiased review of this place. Many of your reviews on Yelp informed me of "Blue Mango" and how delicious it was, so I made it a point to make this my first drink to sort of 'set the bar'. The Blue Mango was a lot more mild than I thought it was. I did have it hot, so perhaps that was the reason. Granted, I was able to finish my drink no problem! During my second trip, I asked the keeper to recommend something for me. I was in the mood for something very sweet. When mentioned, I was given quite the odd look. Yes, I am aware Little Leaf Tea serves mainly traditional teas, but I was seeing what they would be able to do for me. After catching the scent of a couple, and being asked several questions, we settled on Ginger Peach Tea served hot. I take tea as it comes, no cream, no sugars or any such. I cannot say I was disappointed with either the Blue Mango or Ginger Peach, but they were not what I expected, or asked for in the case of Ginger Peach. My Comparison for Little Leaf Tea VS Teazer If you love traditional, mild tea, I would take Little Leaf Tea over Teazer. They execute the traditional and mild perfectly, and it's very relaxing to enjoy a cup or three with friends. If you are looking for a sweet (possibly too sweet) tea, then Teazer is your place! You will certainly get that tropical feeling you are looking for. Honestly, it does not taste like tea, but there are times when it is just what you are looking for! Though Teazer does also do traditional tea, I believe this is Little Leaf Tea's forte. You may be wondering why I rated Little Leaf Tea 4/5 while giving Teazer 5/5. I assure you, the actual Tea is not the reason. I understand and agree these opinions will vary person to person. ~In terms of TEA, I gave BOTH places 5/5. ~Service was definitely owned up to by Little Leaf Tea 5/5. Every time I come into Little Leaf Tea, I am welcomed and made comfortable and on one occasion, even carried a conversation with the keepers. For Teazer, I haven't really been given bad service in all the years I have been there, but they have never gone above and beyond, 4/5 for Teazer. ~Atmosphere is where the difference shows, sadly. I gave Teazer 5/5. Comfortable chairs, delightful music, and a well-decorated interior! I am concerned their new location will not fair so well in this aspect. ~Little Leaf Tea's atmosphere, I found, lacked. With the huge wall of windows facing the street, I found it very difficult to relax and fully immerse myself in their wonderful tea. Along with that is the seating. The seating can only be called comfortable if you manage to sit at the table with the four arm-chairs, and even then, you sink in a little bit. The few cushioned chairs are difficult to come by as they are replaced with outdoor-type metallic chairs. Lastly the stools at the Barista station can certainly be a hazard for those unaware how to use them. My friend nearly fell out of it while trying to sit in it due to it's "Flimsy-ness". There were no complaints on the music selection though and the decorations were fine as well. In some weird way, I felt like I was in a futuristic modern setting and was half-expecting flying robots to deliver my tea. For atmosphere, 3/5, which is what dropped this place to 4-star in my opinion. Overall review - If you're getting Tea to go, certainly this place gets 5-stars as well! Little Leaf Tea is wonderful for your traditional and mild! I can see myself coming for some tea again, though I may have it to go and relax in the comfort of my own home. Needed a place to study and this place is perfect. It isn't as busy as starbucks or barnes and noble where I usually go to study. I enjoy the jazz music that is played and the simple, yet comfortable arrangement of the store. The employees are friendly and the tea that they recommended was just what I was looking for. I will definetly be coming here more often when I need to study and get away from the grips of Netflix which are so unrelenting when I am home. So first off, this building is basically split in half with one side just for teas and the other half which is a bar/restaurant. I haven't been to the bar side yet so I'll leave that part out for the review. The place feel pretty cozy when you walk in. You are greeted by employees who are very well versed in their teas. You can ask them about any tea you are interested in and they will tell you about it and even give you a sample of it. They have a large menu to choose from. My wife and I really enjoyed our first trip into Little Leaf Tea. The tea was excellent and the atmosphere was great. We sat and enjoyed our tea and then ended up sticking around and read for about an hour. There really weren't any disturbances and we both walked away smiling, knowing that we would be back for more great tea and some peaceful time away from the noisy world. Update: We did go back, several times, and still love it. We've found that you can dive into their menu and try something new each time (and be satisfied) or you can play it safe and order off of their top sellers menu which is usually on display at the counter. I'm in LOVE with this place. My mom and I go there all the time to sit and chat and unwind. It's never usually too busy so there is always seating when we go. I always get the monks blend (if you're a cherry lover, this drink is definitely for you) and it never disappoints me. I also love that this place has boba, as a lot of places that specialize in tea don't serve boba. The decor is wonderful. Nothing too fancy, but perfect for sitting and doing homework or chatting with a friend. It's very cute and not over-done. The staff is very friendly. Every time my mom and I walk in, we're greeted with smiles and small conversations. One worker even remembers what drinks we normally order.
