Please read. I placed an order via grubhub. When the driver got there he was told they didn't have my order. When I called Little Lucy's for help. They didn't answer but they called back. I explained my problem they replied that this is their corporate office and that there are no phones on the trucks and there's no way to reach little Lucy's truck. Very unhappy with Little Lucy's online help. Stop blaming others. Update: I want to clear I called both little Lucy and grubhub for help. The donuts were decent but here is the conversation that transpired (horrible): The corporate office reached out to me. They explained that they couldn't have helped and hence they didn't try helping. They said they called the truck (which they claimed they couldn't reach initially) but they used a very condescending tone throughout the conversation with me - "does this make sense to you". Very rude. When I hung up they texted me. They wrote back and tried to blame and took the guilt route that customers like me disappoint and hold them responsible which was definitely creepy and that explanation came only after I wrote that review. This lil food truck tucked away on Rainey Street is such a cute concept, and a drunken snacker's delight. Mini donuts! Dog themed! Hot pink packaging! Free dipping sauce if you check in (otherwise a princely $1). You can get either half a dozen or a dozen mini donuts, then choose a topping and a dipping sauce. It's a little bit of a downer that they don't sell smaller quantities or allow you to mix and match, but I understand, given that the topping is what makes them unique, mixing would be a nightmare. I picked a half dozen of the Schnauzer (pistachio, lavender, vanilla). The donuts weren't piping hot as I had hoped they'd be, but they were damn delicious. I love a strong lavender flavor, and I wasn't disappointed. The white chocolate sauce that I opted for was also really good, albeit a little too small to last the whole pack. I'd recommend getting two dipping sauces. For a cool $6, the packet lasted me for almost a whole day, as the mini donuts are quite fluffy and filling. Little Lucy's Mini Donuts made me break my Keto diet - twice - both during two different work trips to Austin. But it was worth it. These mini donuts are served up in a tiny pink food cart outside of Lucille's. My favorite is the cinnamon sugar paired with the raspberry dip (free with your Yelp check-in, not guaranteed to anyone reading this review now). I also tried the lemon blueberry donut that tastes just like Fruity Pebbles cereal. Donuts are fantastic. They do have *a lot* of sugar, and much like the piles of powder sugar from Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, a lot of that sugar goes to waste and is trashed. :( read more

These donuts do NOT travel well. I ordered them through DoorDash and they whole order was a disappointment. We ordered the sampler of 3 small bags and got the banana, plain sugar and cinnamon, and the bacon, maple, and rum. When they arrived via DoorDash the donuts were all smooshed together in each individual bag and what wasn't smooshed was crumbs. Also, there was nearly zero taste difference between all three types other than a faint (very faint) taste of bacon in the bacon, maple, and rum donuts. They were also all room temperature and had a lot of condensation inside each bag. The sauces were also only okay. The Nutella was just that - a schmear of Nutella. I thought I was getting a Nutella sauce but nope - it seemed to be straight out of the jar. And the donuts were so crumbly that you couldn't dip them in it without them disintegrating. We caught sight of this bright pink dessert cart on Rainey Street, huddled cozily by the surrounding house bars and lounges. The sign on the outside succinctly describes how to order - (1) pick your bag size, (2) choose a flavor, (3) choose an optional dip. The list of flavors sounded tantalizing and we were disappointed to learn that you cannot mix and match but once we watched the man assemble another order, we saw why. The warm, plain donuts are placed in a bag and big, heaping spoonfuls of the flavoring are scooped in; there is no-preflavoring and mixing them up would make for a cacophony of flavors. We decided on the age-old flavor of cinnamon sugar and also requested that he go "light on the flavoring" (I like my sugar just the same but I don't need the small mountains I saw in a few Yelp pictures). The result was a bagful of donuts with the perfect smattering of cinnamon sugar, and these were made astronomically better with a quick dip in a shallow pool of Nutella. My husband and I very quickly threw all caution and public manner to the wind as we inhaled these.
