Weve ordered on delivery apps and been in person several times. The tacos and drinks are always solid.

I came in with a group of visiting friends and was pleasantly surprised to find good, reasonably priced tacos here in East Austin. The tacos were about $5-6 and came with lots of meat. The space was a bit confusing because it seemed like there was an outdoor patio in the back and a covered patio on the side and a food truck in the back, but we chose to sit in the side patio which was nice. This was perfect for brunch after a night out.

How can you miss breakfast tacos when you're in Austin? Showed up to Granny's yesterday & it didn't disappoint us. They make tacos from a food truck outside and they'll bring it inside. You have to order, pay first & find a table for yourself. It takes about 10-15 minutes to get your food. We ordered - Birria taco - Chilaquiles taco - Migas taco - Alambre taco - Chips w guacamole Chilaquiles taco I had was okay but Birria was out of this world. This has to be the best Birria taco I've ever had. Salsa/sauces are equally important for a taco as it elevates the taco it to stratosphere. Both Red/Green sauces were so good. Ambiance: They had a couple of TV & tables inside/outside the restaurant were okay. They also had a mini cafe on the other side of the restaurant. Parking can get a little tricky during peak hours.

My breakfast tacos were delicious! The cheese can be melted more but no biggie. The ordering process was kind of confusing, though. Everyone went to the food truck to order, but then we were all told to go to the bar instead. Also, it'd be way easier if there were a buzzer to let you know when your food's ready, instead of giving your name to the truck and having to keep checking. Maybe this is a new system, but it felt a bit clunky.

After I leave the gym, I go here as it's across the street. Therefore, I've only eaten the breakfast tacos and it's good. My "gripes" which are quibbles is the tortillas don't hold up to eat like a taco. The plus side is you're not being shorted on food. When I order the bacon, i would like more than one piece of bacon and will ask next time now that i am dialed in on this and last thing is to offer both red and green sauce instead of only one and if you want another you're charged.

I am a Granny's OG - have been coming here for several years starting out when she and her husband were running the show. She made the best salsa and her tacos were always high-quality and large Marge. She always treated me like a grandson when I showed up. Now her family runs the show and I was eager to see how things would be and sure enough. I was very pleased to see their quality has maintained, and the tacos are still pretty well sized. they recently expanded to the building next to their trailer, which is a really really nice spread. There are tables to sit but inside is AC cooled and nice seating and a bar area as well. Almost like a mini coffee shop, but there's a lot of room here and I was really impressed. I love the Chilaquiles with the red Mole and I had an egg. We also got another taco with beef and egg. And I love their broccoli cheese egg taco. My friend visiting Town just loved their quality and this was one of his favorite breakfast taco experiences. I will make sure to continue to go back here more consistently as I was very pleased to see that what made them great is still present - really good quality, tacos and ingredients and portions. Love their green and Molcajete sauce. Definitely a must for out-of-town visitors as well

Granny's goes hard. The perfect quick tacos to fix your hunger or hangover needs. My go to is the picadillo but they are all fire. You won't regret trying this place. It's the perfect spot if you don't want a full brunch play, but want the quick satisfaction of a great breakfast. Oh and don't forget to ask for the green sauce! You're welcome.

Finally got to try some of the best tacos in town and they did not let me down! Generous servings, fresh ingredients and all around amazing quality tacos on the east side. A staple!

This had been on my to-try list for quite some time, and fiiinally made it to Granny's Tacos! There's ample, picnic table seating - with umbrellas too! They are an impressive array of tacos to choose from - from numerous breakfast tacos to meats/fish tacos too! I opted for 2 of their 'specialty' tacos: Abuela: Stewed Pork, Pico, Avocado & Lime - tender, juicy, amazing Birria - some damn tender and succulent birria. delightful. Super super glad I finally got to swing on by...and will definitely be tempted to return next time I'm in town!

Enjoyed a cold beverage for the first time in their restaurant. They have been providing East Austin with delicious tacos out of their truck. It's so inspiring to see how far they've come! They still have the food truck in the back patio. The indoor area is perfect. There is a full bar (great bartenders) and seating, plus plenty of tables. Then they have a separate area with plenty of seating areas, a large screen tv (Longhorn season is near). This area is perfect if you're just having some drinks.

Granny's Tacos is one of my favorite spots to take anyone that comes in to visit me. The tacos are great! We went in on a Saturday morning. Service was excellent! The ambiance was great too! There is parking on site but you have to scan the QR code to park there. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is covered. We ordered the Chilaquil Green with Chicken and the Chilaquil Mole with Chicken both were delicious! We also ordered the Chilaquil Green with Egg and the Birria with Consome. I would recommend this place to anyone!

    ASK. Then order =)

I just moved here and it took me a month to visit this spot. I knew they had great tacos. But I thought they were just a food truck. During the summer I kinda require A/C to really enjoy a meal LOL Then, I was pleasantly surprised: They have a very well air-conditioned bar, lounge area and plenty of tables. Not only that, they have some of the coolest staff I've met in Austin. Liz and Chris are friendly, fun and made this 'new guy' feel right at home. Plus, they may have the best Happy Hour in ATX. $4 Shots, Tacos, & Drafts. Please ASK about the specials before you order. Nobody is offering top-shelf shots and tacos for $4. That would be crazy. I asked first, and they happily explained what was offered for $4 and I enjoyed all of it. Now, I've been several times, brought friends and they never disappoint. It's one of my favorite spots.

These tacos were so good! Note- there are a few parking spots right in front of the restaurant, but they cost $15. If you park on the street literally anywhere else it's only 2-$3/hour. We parked a few blocks away and walked over for a weekday lunch. We browsed the food truck menu and each ordered a few tacos. I got the shrimp taco and veggie taco with beans. My fiance got the birria, steak, and pork tacos. They are HUGE and 2 was enough. I also got chips and salsa, and the medium salsa was way too hot for me. The salsa verde was so flavorful and I poured it on my tacos. The shrimp was definitely my favorite. The spicy chipotle sauce with the avocado was *chef's kiss*. We each got a margarita from inside their cafe and really liked it. They have an indoor area that is air conditioned and has a bathroom. Prices were good and food was delicious. We'll be back!

Service 10/10, Burrito was phenomenal, beer was cold. The outdoor patio was great with a nice view of the Austin skyline.

Cauntos Tacos was recommended to me by my BF, and we decided to go all in with the "1 of Each Kind"…read moremenu option. Boy, am I glad we did this--it was the perfect way to try a little bit of everything and compare favorites side by side. Sauderos - One of my top choices. Great texture and flavor with a nice richness to it. That said, carnitas and longaniza still edged it out for me. Cachete - Almost felt like a milder cousin to the carnitas. I personally preferred the milkier flavor profile of the carnitas, but this was still delicious and incredibly satisfying. Buche - Softer and mushier than I would typically like in a meat filling, but the flavor itself was undeniably good. Texture held it back a bit for me. Carnitas - A classic milkiness that's genuinely hard to beat. Rich, comforting, and probably one of my favorite carnitas I've had so far. Definitely a standout. Longaniza - I've never really been a chorizo person... until now. This completely changed my mind. Deep red color, intensely meaty flavor, rich without being overwhelming--easily one of my favorites of the bunch. Champiñones - More flavorful and spicier than I expected. The mushrooms had a pleasantly chewy texture instead of turning mushy, which I appreciated a lot. Great mushroom flavor overall. Revuelta - Not actually on the menu, but something we personally requested. Delicious combination of meats, though tasting everything back-to-back made this one come across a bit saltier. Still, the pairing worked really well and made for a satisfying bite. The sauces deserve a mention too. The green sauce packed noticeably more heat and leaned herbaceous, while the red sauce had a beautiful smokiness that completely won both my best friend and me over. Service was honestly one of the fastest and most efficient I've seen from a food truck. Everything moved quickly and smoothly despite the steady flow of people. My only real downside had nothing to do with the food itself--I hated standing outside at 8 PM dealing with bugs while eating, but that's more the nature of the setup than the fault of the truck. Overall, I was genuinely impressed by the meat quality and how distinct each taco felt from the next. Carnitas and longaniza were the clear winners for me, but there honestly wasn't a bad taco in the lineup.

5 Stars - So Good, Worth the Hype…read more We finally tried Cuantos Tacos and wow... it absolutely lived up to the hype. Food: The tacos were incredible--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can taste the quality right away. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and the tortillas tasted fresh and authentic. We tried a few different tacos and honestly didn't have a single miss. Simple menu, but done really, really well. Service: Service was friendly and efficient. Even with a line, things moved quickly and the staff were welcoming and patient. You can tell they know what they're doing and take pride in the food. Ambiance: It has that fun Austin food-truck vibe--casual, lively, and a little busy, but in a good way. It feels like one of those places locals love and keep coming back to. Overall: Easy five stars. Amazing tacos, great service, and a cool atmosphere. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to again and again.

I ordered 2 steak tacos and horchata, both very delicious. The horchata is milky and sweet but not crazy sweet, and topped off with cinnamon. The steak tacos came out pretty hot, fresh from the grill. I got them on corn tortillas and I'm glad I did: idk if they make them in house but somebody in some house is making these because they definitely aren't store bought, and if they are I want to know where! I tried the orange habanero and creamy serrano salsas. The habanero was spicy off the bat, while the serrano had more of a lingering burn. Both paired well with the steak. They have a little bar, too, though I did not imbibe this time. Seems like they have a decent selection of agave spirits, and even Campari behind the bar (iykyk). Give them a shot, and thank the ladies in the kitchen.
