    Delicious combo Fajitas!
    Donna C.

Found this hidden gem while husband and I were heading to a store in the Medford area. Right a way I began researching reviews on Yelp. Recognized one of my Yelp peeps, Bill S. Bill is very thorough and highly respected in the Yelp community so when I saw his 5 star review I was sold. Two hours later we were there. Walked in the clean spacious restaurant approximately 3pm on Sunday. It was quiet so we enjoyed each other's company at the bar. Absolutely love the pretty decor and the abundance of Mexican history. In every direction you are met with interesting artifacts, copied photographs and newspaper articles and so much more. The front window is decorated with healthy cactuses from California. I had the pleasure to meet one of the pleasant owners named Luis. He took me for a 15 minute tour and educated me on Mexican History. I truly appreciated that!!! We were warmly greeted by staff and immediately received colored nacho chips and homemade salsa. We complimented that with fresh guacamole and beautifully crafted margaritas. Absolutely perfect! Next we shared the chicken and steak fajita combo mix. Again, absolutely perfect. Served sizzling and delicious. Reasonably priced too! At the end we were presented with a tequila called Mezcal. If I heard this correctly it is a tequila that is baked in a rock lined pit over charcoal which gives it a smokey flavor. A first for us that we can aquire a taste for very guickly. What a delightful surprise to inadvertently find this amazing restaurant. The staff and service were so helpful and right on point. They cleary take pride in this establishment. Thank you Bill S. For highlighting this hidden gem. We will definitely return. Can't wait to try the tacos! Best wishes Little Mexico!!

This has to be a fairly new Mexican restaurant in this area! When I go out with old coworkers, we usually look for a sit down Mexican restaurant. When we were trying to figure out a spot, we did a Yelp search and found that this was one we haven't been to yet! We decided to go on an adventure! Boy were we pleasantly surprised! Located in a little strip mall with ample parking, we walked in to a super trendy looking spot! There were not a lot of diners at the time we went, but I am constituting that to people not really know this place exists. Upon walking in you immediately come across an very open dining area with tables pretty far apart from each other. There was also a nice looking bar towards the front of the restaurant. The bar made me want to come back for happy hour...sadly they don't have a happy hour...that won't stop me from coming back to that bar...I digress. We ordered a round of drinks from the cocktail menu. They have an awesome selection... my first drink, I didn't really care for, but it wasn't because it was made poorly. It was because it was a bit spicy/smoky in taste. Not my scene. After ordering my sangria I was MUCH happier. To start, we put in an order of guacamole. There was so much, that could have been my dinner itself. My friends and I kept commenting about how much guac they gave us and how we can save it for our dinner. That's exactly what we did! And for dinner, I got the salmon over a pepper sauce. The salmon was cooked just right! The sauce wasn't a spicy pepper sauce, rather it was made with sweet peppers and was soooooo tasty! To end the meal, I had a Rumchata night cap, while my friends had coffee. We had such a wonderful time, and this might be a new spot where we occasionally meet. The decor was super cute and the service was top notch! I really hope more people check this place out!

    Al Pastor taco trio

It's funny but I laugh at myself, my last review I said I had "the" best tacos on Long Island? Well, Little Mexico Restaurant is making their own tacos with fresh masa. I just finished lunch, it was truly an experience. Little Mexico restaurant isn't a grab and go taco spot. This is a restaurant, a place where you can bring your family to have a nice dinner. The space inside is very large, the restaurant can accommodate both large and small parties. I'm here for lunch, freshly made salsa and a basket of colorful chips are brought to my table. The drink menu looks substantial. First time here so I ordered a classic margarita. Top shelf liquor was used and I loved the dried lime topping my cocktail. The little details are evident in my drink, I can't wait to order lunch. I started with a bowl of pork-hominy stew called pozole. The depth and richness of flavors from this soup, kudos to the chef. The tacos, I thought I could mix and match but for lunch you cannot. I ordered a trio of Al Pastor tacos. The shells are all pressed and made on premise. Simply amazing. Truly authentic Mexican food being served in Medford. The next time I come back, it will be with my wife for dinner. The dinner menu looks great, listed are all mouth watering dishes. Little Mexico Restaurant is highly recommended.

What a little gem finding this place was. Considering location, I would never have expected what I walked into. A bunch of us girls were meeting for dinner, we had no reservations and plans to sit and eat and order drinks so we went at 3:45. They informed up this was a great idea since they were booked from 6pm on. By 6:20 it was getting busier, we asked multiple times if they needed us to move to the bar and each time was no, finish and enjoy. The service was great. Our meal was fantastic. Too! My waiter helped me make a decision on my meal. It's always refreshing when they approach with confidence to say, ask me about any dish. It showed his familiarity with the menu. If you read through my reviews I'm a sucker for a fish taco. While I'm not typically a battered fan, these didn't sit greasy or heavy. I wish there was a bit more slaw to offset the amazing chipotle cream sauce but it didn't deter me at all. While I don't have pictures I brought home food for the kids too. The tacos Al pastor were very flavorful, and the Mexican quesadillas was NOT what I expected but I also wasn't disappointed. It's more of a huge taco than your typical flour shell quesadillas. And the sauces given for each item packed so much flavor you really had the ability to build the profiles as you wanted. I will say however, if you are looking for traditional birria tacos, you may not want them here. While all the flavors were spot on, they felt more street taco and not griddle seared with consume The one thing I didn't love, and the universal complaint of the table, was the chunks of cilantro in the guac, now I'm a cilantro girl but we had full stem chunks that really weren't pleasant to chew through. Maybe this was an unusual thing and I'd try it again. I would definitely recommend hosting a shower, or party here cause for sure they had the space! Also, Thursday night is salsa night, they teach you then have the dance floor open. Reviews of that incoming!

This place was amazing. I don't think near enough people know about it because the line should be out the door. The salsa was so smokey and the chips nice and salty. We got brunch and I got a play on eggs Benedict. The portion was huge and it was delicious and the price was reasonable. I will definitely be going back repeatedly. They obviously need more people but I think if it gets busy they will be able to hire. Definitely a little hidden gem.

    Mariachi band

3 people + 5 entrees + 6 cocktails X 1 mariachi band = one great galentines Went to Little Mexico in Medford off Horseblock tonight and had a great time. The service was amazing and all the food tasted awesome. We skipped the apps and did extra entrees. Bone Marrow was new to me but it was served with diced steak and it was yummy. Really enjoyed the home made salsa. I got the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce which was awesome. My friend ordered the fajitas mix which had steak, shrimp and chicken - $21 what an amazing value My sister got the southwest salad with grilled chicken and chicken quesadillas and said it all tasted great And The cocktails were sooo good. I got the Besos Cachondos which was creamy and sweet My friend got the Sabor a Mi - very refreshing and yummy My sister got the Classic Margarita also very good. Service was great and everyone was friendly The band was also really fun and engaging They charged $5 per person for the band but they let us know before making a reservation. We tipped them as well when they played a song for our table. Overall 4/5 Great food and service, fun entertainment The reason for not giving a 5 was because my steak came out cold which sucks when food dies in the window but still tasted good. My party was also charged a service charge of 20% which the restaurant said was standard for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not a big deal just unexpected to see on a party of 3 tab which included the $15 for the band as well. We will be back for sure.

Red Enchiladas smothered with sour cream (on the left I tried to scrape it off) There were 4 enchiladas wasted.

As you approach the restaurant from the outside, a huge faux cactus decorates the sidewalk, which is adorable. The inside was very big, and well Mexico-theme decorated and presented as very clean. Large bar area. We were escorted to our table and served tortilla chips and salsa. Salsa was good, chunky, mild salsa. It took a while before a server came for our drink order; apparently, she was also bartending. We put in our drink, appetizer, and entree order at the same time. Drinks and appetizers, which were Quesobirria Tacos, came quickly. The tacos, served with lime, along with the consumme were amazing!! Our entrees took quite a while to arrive, again, bartender also serving. My husband ordered the T-Bone Steak, which was perfectly cooked to his liking. He enjoyed it along with the mushroom cream sauce. It was served with grilled asparagus and spicy mashed potatoes. He didn't care for the spicy mashed potatoes, didn't make sense, and tasted like boxed mashed potatoes. I had the Red Enchiladas. Upon ordering, the Menu did not state sour cream or cheddar cheese. I asked if it was served with melted cheddar, and the server confirmed yes. The dish arrives smothered in sour cream, which I hate, and no cheddar cheese (it was cojita crumbles). I didn't touch it. When she saw it was untouched, I explained, and she apologized, asking if I would like anything else or something to go. But the wait was so painfully long, I declined, as was, just getting the bill. She did take a % off the bill for my meal. Overall, it was a decent experience.

Excellent service! The bartender Sara and Owner Luis are so accommodating and welcoming. The food is delicious and the presentation is great. Love the ambiance in the restaurant. Their decor is warm and inviting. This will be my next favorite place to dine.

Came here on a whim. It's in a random unassuming shopping center. It's very spacious inside and you kind of getting that shopping mall vibe everything is spread out. There's a bar in the corner which I might add makes delicious cocktails. Service is lackluster but the star is the food. Every thing and I mean everything was delicious l. Some of the best steak tacos I've had some of the best chicken I've ever had. I wanted the meat platter but I don't think he heard me and was confused and we got a totally different meal. Usually it would get sent back but I could tell they spent time and care making the food so I stuck with it. A huge platter for 6 people came out. It was So overwhelming lol.I was not disappointed however .Everything was delicious best meal I've had in a long while. Will definitely be back.

Incredible food, drinks & staff. What a great experience. I would highly recommend anyone who loves Mexican food to come here. Quality at its finest with this restaurant. Will be coming back. Thanks! PS- The Mole Poblano was absolutely delicious. It's a must get!

There's actually a hilarious story behind why I went. I was originally supposed to have a date that night, but let's be real: you'd think a 61-year-old man would know better than to take a 47-year-old woman to Dave & Buster's. I canceled the night before, dolled myself up the day of, and decided to take myself out instead. Best decision ever. The joint is dimly lit. But your eyes wind up adjusting. It's got a great vibe. Definitely excellent for a date night. The bartenders here are absolute rockstars. I started with a Painkiller. Even though it's no longer on the menu, they whipped it up for me anyway--and hey, it definitely relieved my pain, lol! Next, I tried a Corpse Reviver just because it had absinthe in it. It was different, but I really enjoyed it. Naturally, I had to finish with my signature drink, a Cosmopolitan, because I am the Black Carrie Bradshaw of Long Island. And it did not disappoint. The eats: I got the charcuterie board--fancy and bougie, just like me--and wrapped up the night with the brownie à la mode for dessert. Drowning my troubles in sweets is a must when the Long Island dating pool is an absolute wasteland, lmao. Did I want to spend my night around teenagers, kids, and skee-ball? HELL NO! I wanted a grown-and-sexy speakeasy vibe, and Artemis delivered. 5/5 stars--would 100% recommend!

First off, the inside is beautiful. They did an incredible job with the renovation, and I loved all the little details, especially the custom 300-pound manhole covers they're using as tables around the bar. Even better, everyone working there was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Now the food! We started with the Baked Clams, and these were legit. You could've served them to me at an Italian restaurant and I wouldn't have questioned it. The Nonna's Ribs were probably one of the biggest surprises--slow-braised pork ribs with cherry peppers and finished on the grill. Fall-off-the-bone tender, tons of flavor, and I loved that they weren't just drenched in BBQ sauce. The Firebird crispy chicken sandwich was fantastic, and the Steakhouse Sandwich with sliced NY strip, mushrooms, provolone, crispy onions and horseradish aioli was also very well done. But that Manhole Burger deserves some special attention. Beef, American cheese, caramelized onions and dijonnaise on brioche. Simple combination, executed REALLY well. This was an outstanding burger and absolutely something I'd order again. And I can't leave out the fries. They're hand-cut in house, super thin and crispy, and exactly how I like my fries. Think that addictive thin fast-food style, except made fresh and much better quality. If you remember this location from its previous ownership, give it another shot. This is a completely different experience. Beautiful restaurant, genuinely friendly staff and food that exceeded my expectations. Foundry Tavern is a Hicksville hidden gem that deserves more attention--especially for lunch. I'll definitely be back.

Speaking of events, we had a wedding dinner here earlier this month and everything was beyond perfect from the staff, drinks, and food. Everyone had a wonderful time and I couldn't thank them enough! This will definitely become a go to spot.

Our group of 7 had reservations for 7:00pm a couple of Fridays ago. When we arrived, we pulled up…read moreto the valet, handed him our keys, and walked in right on time. We were seated immediately in the room toward the back left corner where we were the only table occupying the space. In fact, as the evening progressed, no other diners/groups were seated back there, which was nice. We observed that although it was a Friday evening at prime dinner hour, the restaurant never got too full nor was the bar area buzzing. Again, it was nice that it wasn't so hectic in there, but we noted that as curious for a spot like this, on a Friday evening, and when the weather was pleasant. Starting with a high point: our server was really good. He was a very nice young man who let us know at the end of our meal that it was actually his first day on the job. While we could tell he didn't know everything about the menu - which is totally understandable given him being a new hire - he was kind, personable, and went above and beyond to provide excellent and timely service. As for the venue, it was nice although not upscale and that was just our speed for this evening. We loved having the room to sit comfortably at a setup that could comfortably seat 8. As for the food, it was decent although I wouldn't call anything I tasted fantastic. For apps, we shared 2 orders apiece of calamari, crab cakes, and lamb chops (6 apps total) with the chops being my favorite out of those. The calamari were small and didn't pack a lot of flavor but they were fried well. The marinara sauce that came with it was also fine but not remarkable. The crab cakes were a little mushy for our liking. For my entrée, I ordered the Lobster Rigatoni. There was plenty of lobster on top, the portion was more than solid, and it came out at the right temperature but the flavor again failed to really impress and was somewhere between "fine" to "good". For dessert, I ordered the chocolate lava cake, and I was truly disappointed by that. For starters, there was no gooey "lava" as the name implied, and the edges were dry and seemed overcooked. The flavor again fell a little flat and I didn't bother to finish it even though I am usually a huge fan of chocolate desserts. All in all, we had an enjoyable evening as a crew, but the food could be elevated a bit from a flavor standpoint. I would give the food a little better than a "3" but I think they have enough going for them that amping up the flavors could do wonders for their desirability and drawing more diners.
