We moved to South Carolina and moved back to Long Island because we could not find a Mexican restaurant that compares to Little Mexico (one of the reasons aside from South Carolina sucks .). Beware though....there are other restaurants with the same name. NOT THE SAME. Only the one in Westbury is the authentic restaurant. Lino is THE BEST. Our love for Mexican food led us to a small Westbury restaurant after a shopping trip. We started with complimentary homemade tortilla chips and salsa, which were so delicious we almost asked for more. We ordered two steak tacos ($4.50 each), which were a bit dry but still decent. The real stars of the show were supposed to be the steak fajitas ($27 each!), served with rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and tortillas. The steak, though perfectly cooked and seasoned, was a bit too salty. We were also very disappointed since there were more vegetables than actual meat, again, not worth the price. Since moving to the area 4 years ago, I've had this place on my list. I finally got to try Little Mexico. This was just take out though I will say the happy hour deals I saw were appealing! I got a chicken taco and chorizo taco. The chorizo one was tasty! I added some of my own hot sauce to spice it up. The chicken one was dry and not very flavorful. While the tacos were a little pricey ($5 each) I was shocked that a side of guac was $8! Even if it is a larger portion, that's a lot. This was disappointing. I chose to visit this restaurant because the staff seemed very nice when I came to get a menu. We've been looking for a replacement for Don Juan's in Massapequa and it's been hard to find. Our server was very nice, but the menu is severely lacking any vegetarian options. In 2025, it's not unreasonable to expect vegetarian options. What he did was to slept together a plate based upon removing meat. The taste of the beans was blend at best. The rice, the same. The margarita that we had was not very good and there were no frozen margaritas which Would have been nice. The chips and salsa were just OK. I really love Little Mexico and think it has some of best tacos in the area. Their meat is well-marinated and cooked perfectly and their portions are generous. I honestly plan which train station I go to on whether or not I want to pick up Little Mexico when visiting family on LI. I'm fairly certain their delicious chips are homemade and the only chips I truly like out of all the Mexican places I go to in the city/on LI. Tips/Advice: 1) Ask for extra sauce for your tacos. Their salsa and taco sauce is delicious and addictive. 2) If you're doing a pick-up order, don't bother putting change in the meter. I only do pick-up orders and I'm in and out within 2 minutes. Took a chance on this after it received praises for authentic Mexican cuisine from daily voice on my google feed. The drinks were promising as we ordered margarita's & Pina colada. The menu was simple but enough to satisfy the pickiest eater. After a few bowls of chips with salsa we ordered the Steak con Camerones, Steak little Mexico & Steak special Mexico. I tried ordering the Rib-eye but the waiter said they didn't have it. All was Steak one with Shrimp & the Special Mexico had shrimp chicken & beef! The food was ok not bad but not great as I've had better. The ambience of the restaurant gave you that old Mexican feel & if the food was a little more seasoned with a little kick I may have rated higher or considered coming back! read more

Just wanted to add that the combo platters they have are amazing! Get to try a little bit if everything and they're so filling. I love that nearly everything on the menu comes with rice and beans because....necessary. Margaritas are big unlike places that charge for a tiny glass. Service has been great. Parking should be fine outside after 6 from what we can tell. Had no idea til this most recent visit they have a parking lot in the back too. This is a delightful restaurant with delicious Mexican cuisine. The menu is extensive and the service is friendly and quite fast. Some of the cheese dishes (i.e. enchiladas) can be a bit salty, as the cheese variety used has a high sodium content. I recommend Little Mexico and will return again. read more

Little Mexico has become a Thanksgiving weekend tradition for us and this past weekend was the 10th anniversary of us starting that tradition. We didn't want Covid to mess with the tradition so this year we enjoyed take-out. Calling to order was easy and I was instructed to use the back entrance (wearing a mask) to enter for pick-up. The space is intimate, but they did have 4 tables of diners eating while I was there. The food, is always consistent and always delicious. This was my first time doing take-out and there was no difference in how wonderful everything was. I've said it before, but the Burrito Deluxe is my favorite. It's filled with chicken and chorizo and it's fantastic. I love it so much. Be sure to ask for the red and green sauces on the side to add some flavorful and balanced heat and don't forget the sangria. So Little Mexico, happy 10th anniversary to us! Honestly the best authentic (well what I think as authentic haha) Mexican place I have ever been to. My family has been coming here for about 10 years. We have done birthdays here, going away parties and so many other celebrations. It's a small but cozy place. Before covid there was only like 12 tables, not with restrictions Little Mexico has about 5. Everything is nicely spaced out and the employees all are following safety procedures. The kitchen is open to the rest of the restaurant so you can see even the guys in the kitchen are good. I would go with a margarita over a sangria, the sangria is just a bit too juicy for me. They have a bunch of different liquor options, I just wish they had some more tequila's. Really just the basic tequila brands here. For food, I haven't had anything that wasn't delicious. I usually go for a fajita platter or tacos. Always delicious. The sandwiches are also amazing, I didn't expect them to be as good as they are so if your here for lunch I highly suggest ordering that. read more

I got the combo fajita and for 21$, there were more vegetables than actual meat (seafood, chicken and steak) in my dish. Our appetizer was the nachos and it was literally 5 chips with just bean and cheese.. Every dish is smothered with beans and cheese so even our quesadilla didn't seem like a quesadilla. Went to Little Mexico but it was not the restaurant I remembered. Due to Covid we haven't been here in a year and a half. I remember very good Mexican food but that's not what we experienced today. I ordered the fajita combo with onions and no peppers. It came exactly as ordered. That's what got it the 2 stars. As expected, the sizzling pan cooks the onions but it also cooks the meat. And the meat was overcooked when it was put on the pan. So by the time I ate any of the chicken or steak, they were more like shoe leather. The 2 shrimp were fine. Great hole in the wall traditional Mexican restaurant. Nothing is overpriced, everything is delicious, the drinks are big. Steak fajitas have been my go to dish, the steak is served in larger chunks and can be a bit tough, so I cut them up before bringing them to my tortilla. Our first time at Little Mexico . We ordered 2 chicken hauraches and a side order of guacamole to go. Our take out order at lunchtime came to $23. Now onto the food, it wasn't good, it was GREAT!! Everything tasted super fresh and had the right balance of toppings on the huarache. The red sauce was killer, delicious, hot but not mouth on fire hot. Their guacamole was fantastic, as were the free chips and salsa. This place is delicious and authentic tasting. We will be back. If we could've given 6 stars on taste alone, we would have. My friend and I were hungry and we decided we wanted to get some tacos and we found this little gem just a few minutes away from the mall ! So glad we came across this. The place was packed on a Saturday Night but we were able to get a seat in the back for two. Service was great and attentive, as soon as we sat down they gave us complimentary chips and salsa for the table while we looked at the menu. We ordered a plate of cheese nachos for the table, and so simple but everything was really good. Loved the red sauce that they put on top of them. For the tacos they were all pretty good nothing amazing but I would order them again, my friend and I agreed that our favorites were the carnitas and chicken the best as they were both seasoned perfectly. I like them to be a bit crispier, but they were still really good. We treated ourselves to made to order churros - sooo good. My husband and I decided to come here for Sunday night dinner since I bookmarked this place awhile ago but never had the chance to try it out and plus, I had a craving for Mexican food. The location was on a busy street so there were a bunch of other businesses nearby from supermarkets to other food places. Parking can be a problem depending on what time and day you go but we were lucky to find a metered spot within a block away. Service was good with our waitress being attentive to our needs but however, we were very disappointed in the food. I ordered a chorizo and carnitas taco with a side of guacamole while my husband got the chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. My tacos had no flavor what so ever (where's the salt & pepper?) and the guacamole was too watery and bland in my opinion (I made better). My husband's chicken quesadilla was mixed on a plate with beans, rice and lettuce so it had too many flavors mixing together for his taste. He stated that none of the food on his quesadilla platter had flavor except for the sour cream and onion, which was slopped on top. We will not be back again:/ read more

If you want authentic come here. If you want strong sangria- without hesitation come here. The food is good, they always say the smaller the places the better the food and in this case- YES! As soon as you sit down they have chips and a nice mild salsa that you can immediately dip into. Although they do have a small space and no real waiting area. The wait is worth it. We started with the guacomole which came almost within seconds. The guac is great, smooth, but I was wanting more salt and a lemon or lime squeeze. We ordered the sangria pitcher. Now if you only go with three people and two out of the three drink, and only one is a good drinker, don't get this pitcher. If you have a good sized table, more than three, it's a good idea. The sangria is fresh and strong. For our entrees we ordered the steak dinner which comes with avacado, salad, rice, beans and pico de Gallo. The guacamole could have benefited from some extra salt or lemon! We also had the Venezuelan shrimp dish which was a healthy portion of shrimp, rice, beans, and salad. The shrimp is served over a beautifully toasted tostada. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla. Which by the way is the best amount of shrimp and cheese around! The quesadilla is topped with sour cream, guac, and salsa. It also does come with rice, beans, and a small small side of lettuce or salad, whichever you would like to call it. The only complaint really is that the rice and beans needed a dash of salt or flavor. They were a tad bit on the dry side, thankfully there was salsa to fix that. The whole atmosphere is great. You don't feel rushed even when there are people waiting at the door! For desert, I do not remember the name, but it is a puffed pastry with whipped cream and a delicious smooth vanilla ice cream- well worth it. For two people we usually get an app, the mixed fajita platter (the shrimp, steak, and chicken are always perfectly cooked and seasoned) and a half pitcher of margarita (which we barely finish because it is actually the size of a regular pitcher...!) The place is pretty tiny so if you go on a weekend night there will always be a wait, especially if there is an event at The Space. Our meal started with warm tortilla chips and medium to spicy fresh salsa. Since it was our first time here, we both played it safe. I had chicken enchiladas and bf had beef enchiladas. Both were very tasty and generously portioned. I usually skip refried beans, but I'm glad I tried them this time - mild, creamy and delicious. We had two sodas and one side of sweet plantains.
