Little Pecks is another huge addition to the Troy cuisine scene. The "Little Brother" to Pecks Arcade, the petite eatery shares the same style of cuisine - fresh, unique, delicious. The Christopher's do it again with a big city style eatery located in up-and-coming Troy. You will find everything from delicate bites to scrumptious open faced sandwiches and many coffee/espresso choices to keep you satisfied. Like Pecks Arcade, Little Pecks features an open kitchen too so foodies can enjoy watching these culinary geniuses do their work. Seriously, you will not find dishes like these around the capital region. Service is exceptional and quick. I would recommend this place to anyone. I stopped in here one weeknight evening based on Yelp recommendations, and was pleased and surprised to find such an unusual spot. The very popular Peck's Arcade is on the left, and smaller Little Peck's on the right, bar(?) upstairs. I asked if I could sit on the Little Peck's side and order from the Arcade menu, and was told I couldn't. So I ordered a couple small plates from the LP menu, and had a delicious cappuccino made by the adorable barista, Caroline. Very pleasant, and a co-diner told me to try to sit at the kitchen bar next time. I may do just that! Love the logo of 2 chicks giving each other a little "peck." read more

Rating this 5 stars for having the best egg sandwich I've had in the capital district. I've been looking for you, you tasty so and so. The cheddar biscuit is amazing, but they do run out. Be warned. I added the bacon. Service was a little snooty or standoffish, but the day shift seems slow. I liked that there are different options for sitting including an enclosed patio (which I understand has a retractable roof). The hash looked boring, and is just potatoes, an egg and a tasty pepper sauce, but was delicious and pleasantly surprised me. I wasn't into the bone broth, but I generally am not into it. The bloody mary was a but sour for me. Think it is heavy on pickle juice. read more

My mom and I needed a break from the Troy Farmers Market on Saturday morning so we came in for a coffee and ended up staying for breakfast. It was perhaps the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten with freshly cooked eggs on a warm, homemade biscuit with extremely crispy bacon that retained all of its flavor. I asked them to put the fry sauce on the side which may have been a mistake because it was so darn good. I loved that they had three different kinds of iced tea so I got to try their mint. The counter person and employee who brought our food to the back were both friendly. My mom had the pumpkin bread with pistachios which was excellent as you would expect. We sat in the backyard by the running water with all of the plants around and marveled at the different materials that make up the walls. It is such a lovely space and I only regret not taking my mom there sooner! read more

Great food and great place to study. I love this place, I wish this had late hours on Sunday.

I'll preface this review with my feelings on coffee: it's a vector for caffeine, something warm for cold mornings, and one part of my routine for transforming from a half-asleep slug into a fully functioning human. Basically, I like it but I'm not a connoisseur, will drink Folgers if that's that's what's available, and I have no problem with my friends drinking Starbucks. I can, however, tell the difference between burnt, passable, and really well made coffee. Unsurprisingly, Little Pecks makes a really good cup of coffee. It's open at 6am so I can stop in before work as I'm walking my dog and trying to wake up. So far I've tried a muffin and a slice of banana bread from the pastry offerings- the latter being so good that it's ruined me for other banana breads. The service was quick and friendly (how is this possible at 6:15am??). I'm looking forward to updating this review once I've tried a breakfast sandwich and their lunch. read more

Vic & Heather: please, never change. Or rather, keep perpetually changing in the same way that you do now. I care a lot about coffee; this review is one of my most-likely-to-be-updated, because it's based on only a single visit during which I drank a single latte - so not even the stress test, which is (for me, anyway) drip or french press coffee. And the latte was excellent: a little small but in a pleasantly-heavy cup, prettily and carefully crafted. Not the best I have had this month*, but that's only because I was out in Portland drinking the superlative, best-of-my-life coffee at Barista there. [Is it fair to deny LP's a 5th star on this basis? I think so - neither the coffee nor the shop are 'as good as it gets' but that does NOT mean that they're not *great*] Staff were very warm and eager, even after discounting the presence of their boss :). I looked at the baked goods, but wasn't inspired; I am hoping that the ramp-up process may include local bagels and/or croissants at some stage. [Pain raisin, in my hopes & dreams.] I believe that there were just four obvious choices, but I see from twitter that things such as egg sandwiches are available - I may have missed a menu or some such while chatting. What made me happy, though: coffee in hand, I wander upstairs (stairs are around the corner to your left of the register, in case you're as clueless as I was pre-caffeine). And the space is just great. Unfinished walls, a large communal table that has pretty clearly been made by sawing a table in half and inserting planks (!), dried flowers on tables, the whole thing is just an oasis and it made me feel happy, comfortable, thankful. It's not polished, it's not corporate, it's just a great place to sit and drink a coffee, read a book, check email. So although it's not even close to being on a sensible morning route for me, I hope to return as often as possible. {* Why not? A slightly sour end-note. The flavour was good, the ration of espresso to steamed milk spot-on, but it needed one or more of a tiny dash of salt, slightly less pressure on extraction, or I suppose a bit of sugar. I used to live in an apartment with a bunch of other people and would come down here to escape and get some work done. On a weekday afternoon, it's typically not too busy and you can take your pick of a seat. I personally really love the large table in the library upstairs. It's usually more quiet up there and no one bugs you. I'd grab a coffee, go upstairs, and just work for hours. There are outlets there as well as by the tables downstairs. The WiFi is free, though not the fastest. The food is really good and the staff is friendly! read more

Went with my friend and got a oat milk latte which was good. Ordered the smoked salmon dish for myself which was disappointing. The bread was overly buttery and you had to put the open face sand which together which was not ideal. My friend got the turkey sandwich and.... there was a chunk of plastic in it! She pulled it out of her mouth. So gross like a chunk of hard plastic that fell off a tupper wear container. I told our server and she was very nice and apologetic but a compensation or a new meal would of been nice... Such as a shame as the atmosphere is super cute. read more

Best little coffee shop! Love the downtown area and vintage, retro, industrial feel. The coffee is fabulous! And they make the best almond milk - yes, they make it themselves! I love the ambiance of little pecks but the food was really really disappointing. I got the breakfast plate, which promised a soft boiled egg with house potatoes and fresh fruit however it was served as a hard boiled egg with boiled flavorless potatoes. The worst part was that they served half of a dry appearing grapefruit in a bowl on the same plate as the other food, which created a puddle of water in my plate and made the potatoes and egg even more soggy and unappetizing. My boyfriend got the chickpea bowl which unfortunately also featured the boiled potatoes and was unbearably smokey :( read more

I went here for some coffee and a light breakfast before an event I had to go to for work. It was easy to park on the street because it was so early in the morning. I ordered a macchiato (with a specific non-dairy milk they make) and had some of their pumpkin bread. They don't have a wide breakfast food selection but they have baked goods. It's basically a large enclosed patio - lots of plants and a refurbished industrial aesthetic, with long wooden tables. There's even a mock waterfall coming from an old pipe (on purpose, not in a leaky-pipe kinda way.) Feels a bit like hanging out in a greenhouse. Got a nice cup of cinnamon vanilla rooibos tea. The only downside is that they don't have any vegan food, and when I asked, the barista seemed a little unfriendly. But I'd come here for coffee and tea all the time if I lived here. read more

This place has amazing charm and an awesome back patio/greenhouse style room that makes you feel like you can soak up some sun even on a rainy overcast day. The food was super tasty- we enjoyed a selection of sandwiches and the seasonal stew special. The lattes were just okay - seemed like the front of house was a bit disorganized resulting in a luke warm watery drink for one of our two beverages and mistakes in our food ticket. The kitchen staff seemed like they were doing their best to keep up but they never got one of our orders and the next table also had the same issue. They quickly addressed it but resulted in a long wait for our meal and unnecessary confusion. Hopefully they can get things sorted out better because this is otherwise a complete gem. What a cute little place. I'm so glad I decided to stop by little pecks while we were strolling around. The brunch menu is a little high (consider I just moved here from Texas), but the egg and cheese biscuit and the breakfast burrito were delicious. The latte and drip coffee were decent, but it might not be my to go coffee place. The decor and space design were cozy yet modern. You can see the original ruins, yet the newly installed wall. I walked in said hello to the 2 people working. Was met with an almost inaudible hello. Proceeded to wait for a few minutes while nobody was there and there was no effort made to let me know if I would be waiting or if I could order. I've never been met with less enthusiasm from an employee as a customer the fact that they couldn't take the time to communicate what was happening was shocking. I've tried a few of the brunch menu options and they were amaze but the coffee and crumpets are my fave! Great customer service too.
