I stopped here a few days ago for the first time. It's a small , family owned bbq place beside a gas station like you would find in a small town in the South. The employees were nice and I heard the cashier telling someone it was her family's business. It's not decorated fancy , but the dining room is clean and has honest bbq. I got the Pulled Pork Plate with 2 Sides and a Sweet Tea. I also ordered an extra side. If you're a Veteran like me , your drink is free. The Pulled Pork was tasty and a good portion and they give you a bun even though you didn't order a sandwich you have bread to go with it. I ordered Hush Puppies as my bread , but still ate the top bun with my meal. Hush Puppies were pretty good when warm , my last one when it cooled down then tasted a little oily so eat them while they're hot. Usually I get a Pulled Pork Sandwich instead of a platter and have Slaw on it. Well I got a side of Slaw and it was Mayo style , not Vinegar style and I didn't like it. The young lady let me replace them with the Beans and they were very good. Potato Salad was average , I like a little more mustard in mine. Now for the BBQ Sauces. They have 5 BBQ Sauces which is a good variety to have. I liked the Hot , Vinegar , and Rob Sauce the most. For Pulled Pork I found if you mix the Hot and Vinegar Sauces it worked the best. If I would've had Brisket then the Rob Sauce would be my pick for it. The Mild was okay , but I prefer more of a kick. The Mustard Sauce was weak and not tangy enough and I usually like a good mustard sauce sometimes on pulled pork , but prefer the vinegar. Sweet tea ok , not too sweet like some places. Overall it's a well rounded bbq place. My total with tax was $19.70 with my free Veteran's drink , pulled pork platter and 3 sides. I would like to come back and try the Brisket next time. I would recommend you giving it a try and support a local family business. read more

Have not been here in years due to not living in the area so I was in the area visiting family had to stop in and ordered some pulled pork. Tastes the same as it did over 10 years ago. Some of the best pulled pork I have had. Plus you can get the barbecue sauce on the side which is great because some places put to much or to little on it. Being going here for years. I think they have the best pork sandwich in the Carolinas. Chopped pork bbq normally doesn't impress me but they have some of the cleanest, nicest, best cooked around. WOW!!!!! BEST JUICIEST BRISKET EVER!!!!! I've lived in Pawleys Island 30 years. I consider myself a brisket connoisseur! lol! I'd noticed this unassuming small restaurant tucked away on the frontage road but never tried it. On my way home from a Doctors Appointment I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did!! It is by far some of the best brisket I have ever eaten!!! So very tender and juicy it just melts in your mouth!!!! Love the smoky flavor! The delightful lady at the counter and the gentleman working the kitchen must be the owners because the only thing better than the Brisket was the fast efficient friendly, service!! First day in Myrtle Beach Zvck and I were cruising with the top down and came across Little Pigs BBQ un a small plaza abutting a gas station. Just the type of bbq place i was looking for. Small restaurant where most of the patrons were doing take out. About 12 tables and a service counter and kitchen in the rear. We chose the pulled pork plate, the brisket plate and a cheese burger (impulse buy). Pulled pork was solid but we didnt care for the sauce just wasnt our taste. the pork plain was very good. Hole in the wall BBQ at its best. Super friendly and quick service. Lots of extra sauces you can try as you refill your drink. Ribs had tons of flavor and a unique extra smokey finish almost like your have a sip of whiskey. Lathered in a lot of bbq sauce, I would have preferred a little less. Brisket was very tender and soft with the right amount of fat on it. Baked beans had good sweetness and savory flavor. Mac and cheese was underwhelming and the slaw was a little too bitter for me. I grew up in NC where we use a vinegar base for our BBQ. I had always heard of that SC uses a mustard sauce so I wanted to seek out a local BBQ place to give it a try. This little place came up in my search and it was right around the corner. As many local places that're any good, the outside doesn't look like much and is attached to a gas station. The inside isn't much to speak of either. A few old school booths, a couple of tables and a counter where all the business is done. But, it's clean and the folks are friendly and efficient with their service. We made our selection, placed our order, and then grabbed our drinks and sauces. Before we could sit down our plates were ready. The pulled pork BBQ was excellent as is, but it was enhanced by all the sauces. I tried a little of all of them and they were all fantastic. He had the brisket plate. The brisket is cocked for 9 hours and was so tender. I saw another review here that stated the brisket was mostly fat. That was not our experience. Yes, there was some fat, but that's the nature of a brisket. We found it to be some of the best brisket we've eaten. Again the sauces paired well. The potato salad and cole slaw were delicious as well. As for the mustard sauce? Well, I'll admit it was very good, but I'm not a convert. I still love my eastern NC vinegar base. read more

There's so many trash tourist food restaurants. But this one is the real deal delicious. Great service! They're pulled pork sandwiches, amazing! All the sides, delicious! And the very last time I stopped by there they had our handwritten sign on the front door that said we have brisket. Um, let's see. Not a fan. In fact, was very disappointed with the brisket. Wanted to try the ribs, but were sold out. The sauce, Rob or Ron, was actually good. It actually helped the brisket a little. The brisket wasn't moist, rather dry. I couldn't pick up on any kind of special rub. I wish I would've taken a picture, but forgot. Without a doubt done of the best ribs in Myrtle beach! Self serve, sit and eat. Came here several months ago to try their ribs. The cook said I was too late they ran out already. But, today, I stopped by at about 2:30 and I just knew they would be out again. Nope they had to increase their supply because of high demand. I don't usually try new places that have less than 4 star ratings on here. That being said, Little Pigs Bar-B-Q had an average of 4 stars. As my family poured into Myrtle Beach at noon on a weekday we were starving, but needed something quick and didn't want to spend too much money. That, I will give to this restaurant. It was fast and pretty cheap. Also, there weren't too many people in there, basically no wait to order and get seated when we came in. BUT the food was mediocre at best. I pulled hard dry bits out of my pulled pork sandwich, there wasn't much flavor, the barbecue sauce was really liquidy, the macaroni had a funny taste and was very very orange. Also, no onion rings were available when we got there. Out of our family of 5 and all of our various orders, we agreed that the fries were the best part of the whole lunch. Our waters came in thin plastic disposable cups that my small child accidentally busted while grabbing it, no lids... Not only no lids, but there were no readily available napkins at the tables either. At a barbecue restaurant?? Very inconvenient to have to get up from your seat every time you need napkins, especially when you're almost guaranteed to make a mess eating saucy food. Staff were very nice, and there was a cute hometown feel with pig decorations keeping the vibe. There is one bathroom to use that didn't smell great and had a soaked rug (due to flooding during the week, I hope). While there were pros and cons to our lunch visit, there definitely was more bad than good in our experience here. read more

I have to say I wasn't impressed. I went and dined in. The service was fast and friendly. The place is clean. But extremely hot inside. I was sweating the whole time I was eating. They do have ceiling fans but they are on low and will not go higher. Now for the food review, which is what my stars are based on... I got the brisket plate sandwich with 2 sides, Mac&cheese and the beans. The sides were good. The brisket however, was mostly all fat and not much meat. So that was disappointing. I wouldn't go back.
