Smoked chicken sandwich

I always love a meal from Little Richard's. Their chicken wings are always a good option and I also love their chicken legs, smothered in sauce. I can't go to Little Richard's without getting the corn nuggets and I also grabbed some fried okra this time. I tried at the Carolina Gold, but my favorite go to is their Alabama white sauce.

Talk about an experience! This was my first time here and I felt like I walked into another world! The decor in this restaurant was very unique and I enjoyed that I created an enjoyable dining experience. I took my food to go but the servers were very helpful in helping me find something I'd enjoy from the menu. I had the BBQ chicken plate with beans and mac and cheese. It was very tasty and I even tried some more BBQ sauce with it. The banana pudding was smooth and creamy but not too heavy- will definitely be having that again! I really enjoyed the large side of hush puppies that came with my order and I can't wait to come back and try some more food!

Little Richards has the best wings in the triad! I know I've said that before, but I had them again tonight and felt that way once more. They're perfectly smoked for tons of flavor with a crispy bite into a juicy wing. Other notables...that Korean sauce! I always order it on the side. The crinkle fries are good. And the green beans are great. They give you tons of those hush puppies!

Pure banana pudding happiness.

Little Richards is always reliably amazing and affordable. We come here and eat like kings and bring home leftovers for at least one more meal for the whole family. Our move is to get the three meat combo, go double the ribs with brisket and add a smoked wing meal on the side. You wind up with four sides, a mountain of delicious hush puppies and so many opportunities to try all of their sauces. Their ranch is legendary. You simply must finish with a banana pudding that comes plated so adorably in a mason jar. Always happy, always stuffed, always lightening fast.. basically perfection.

While enjoying a girls weekend in Winston, we wanted BBQ and was told on great authority that Little Richards was the best. After a day of wine tasting, we stopped for a late dinner. We split a rib platter, the Smoked Pimento Cheese chips and a basket of hushpuppies. The Smoked Pimento Cheese Chips were my favorite! After a day of drinking they were perfect. With the rib platter we got the frito pie and baked beans. Frito Pie for my "northern" friends is a "Walking Taco" Fritos with taco meat, cheese, lettuce and sour cream served in the frito bag. YUM. It wasn't very busy for a Saturday night, but it was kind of late 8pm. I would definitely go back. I'll add photos shortly.

Little Richards in Clemmons off Lewisville-Clemmons Rd on Stadium Dr is a great barbecue restaurant. The service was great and seated right away. Lots of options food wise and plenty of great selections. Highly recommend the corn bites and chicken. The beef brisket was on the drier side and French fries were nothing special. I wish they would offer less sides and more meat for the price you pay but still plenty of food.

Sit yourself kinda place! Love it

Great place if you're looking for BBQ! It's a little hidden off of Clemmons Lewisville. Loved the sweet tea so much we took home a pitcher. I went for the BBQ Ribs and OMG so delicious, melting right off the bone! We will definitely come back for more. They have great outdoor seating which I forgot to take pictures of.. next time. Inside is just as comfortable, a little like southern hospitality where you can sit yourself, instead of waiting. Let it be known I didn't care as much for the fried Okra or the hush puppies. Though, did I mention the BBQ ribs!! My kid had the beef brisket, and she gave me a thumbs up! I'll be back to try more items from their menu.

Beef Brisket + Mac

The brisket & pulled pork are my faves! I'm super picky about Mac n cheese also, and Little Richard's definitely nails it! I LOVE this place so much. Always a go-to spot when in Clemmons. Go here when hungry cuz the portions are huge!

Pork, slaw, okra, hushpuppies. Pork was just OK.

As the name suggests, this is still an operation focused on takeaway dining, though there are some tables available on the sidewalk outside. I'd end up taking my food home on this trip though. Once again I decided to sample the Chicago-style hot dogs offered here. And there have been improvements since my first visit. The product now comes on an actual poppy seed bun, as it should. I don't think the bun was steamed though and that hurts the texture. The hot dog itself had a good snap and taste, and the through-the-garden toppings were loaded well onto the bun. Something's still missing about the overall taste though, as these simply don't measure up to other Chicago-style hot dogs I've had -- including many far away from Chicago. The build of the sandwich looks closer to being correct than it did five years ago, but the flavors are still wrong, and I wish they'd work to figure out what it is they're missing. I placed my order on site rather than calling it in, and the young lady at the counter was pleasant. It took a little longer than I'd expected for the kitchen to prepare my order; maybe they just don't get many requests for the Windy City dog and they're just not well versed in putting it together? This latest experience leaves me scoring Joe's somewhere between two and three stars, and though the food was better than last time I still lean towards the lower side of that range. Maybe their more Carolina-themed food would be better and result in a higher rating, but there are already plenty of places I can go locally for a hot dog fixed "our way," many of which would be at a more competitive price point and with better options for drinks and seating. I wanted to try Joe's because of the hot dog options they have that aren't widely represented elsewhere in this area, and in those respects I still can't find much to love here.

The melted cheese was dripping over the sides, the bun was soft and fresh, and every bite just kept getting better. The fries deserved their own round of applause. This wasn't one of those burgers you eat because you're hungry--this was the kind you eat in complete silence because you're too busy enjoying every bite. On top of the amazing food, the service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. They also have covered outdoor picnic tables with fans running overhead, which was a really nice touch. It made sitting outside comfortable even on a warm day and gave the place a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. Safe to say this place has officially ruined mediocre burgers for me. Mmmmmm....OMG! We had intentions of driving to Mocksville to try this out for months and today was…read morethe day. It was a little hard to find because a road is closed in the vicinity but we were able to find it using the Waze app. The building itself is a large steel structure which has been nicely finished on both inside and out. We arrived about 4:30pm on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately greeted. We were taken to a booth and there were a couple of other tables seated. Immediately, you could tell this was a family run business with multiple generations pitching in. The young man who took our drink order was friendly and efficient. They have quite a few taps on the back wall but they were not in service and therefore were only offering cans and bottles. The menu says they currently have malfunctions with their cooler. We were given time to peruse the menu but were checked in on to ensure we didn't have questions. The menu offers burgers, fries and dogs but they are all elevated. There are some very creative and special combinations which as the asterisk notates on the menu some items are unable to be changed. We decided to start with the pub bucket, which offers steak fries along with melted cheddar cheese and ranch. My wife ordered the Elvis burger which features bourbon glazed apples, peanut butter, banana chutney and cheddar cheese. I chose the Godfather which features salami, pepperoni and mozzarella, and I chose to get the creamy garlic pesto on the side. My wife went to use the restroom and on her way back she reported that it was very clean and she happened to notice their recent state inspection certificate boasted an impressive 99.5! Our appetizer arrived in a timely manner and while it looked different (we are used to restaurants serving fries with cheese melted with a side of ranch) this had the fries topped with cheese and the ranch poured on top. But let me tell you they were delicious! Lots of heavenly cheddar cheese which was perfectly melted and gooey topped with delicious ranch dressing. Our burgers arrived shortly afterwards and are wrapped up when served. We began to unwrap and they also looked delicious. My wife immediately started eating hers while my camera ate first. My wife commented that her burger was absolutely delicious and said she was a bit iffy at first on the cheddar cheese being served with the sweet toppings but was happy to report she thought it worked perfectly and she was glad she didn't alter the burger. My burger was a double and huge! Since I had asked for the aoili on the side because I am not a mayo guy and while it was very good I should have asked for some ketchup to dip my burger in. I enjoyed it alot and saved half for later. My wife had her eye on the apple ring sundae. It is Granny Smith apple rings, sliced and cored and dipped in cinnamon sugar and deep fried, topped with vanilla ice cream and cool whip and drizzled with homemade caramel sauce. She ordered the half version which includes three rings. It took a little longer for the dessert to arrive because by this time they had started to get busy with a majority of the inside tables full as well as a few outdoor tables and several to go orders. The dessert arrived and my wife was happy to report it was also delicious. So glad we finally stopped in and we already have talked about our next time. It was apparent from our time there that they have a following and it is easy to see why. We did ask about onion rings and were told they plan to bring back again in the fall. Awesome service, creative menu, clean and family run. Plan your visit!

The tenders had a really solid crunch without being greasy, and the hot honey added the perfect sweet heat balance. The Meal 3 with 2 sliders and 2 tenders was probably the standout though. The Patty Melt Crunch slider and Sammy's Melt Burger both had that smashed burger flavor with crispy edges that hit perfectly. The "saucy" hot honey combo worked way better than expected, especially with the hand-cut fries and homemade ranch on the side. Even the fries stayed crispy the whole meal, which says a lot. Portion sizes were solid for the price, the food came out quick, and the whole meal had that fresh-made comfort food vibe instead of tasting overly fast-food style. Washed it all down with a Coke and honestly left full and satisfied. If you're in Winston-Salem and craving sliders, tenders, or late comfort food, Sammy's Sliders is definitely worth trying.
