Went here with friends on a Thursday evening. Nothing much has changed. Still same menu and decor. The staff is still friendly and service is prompt. I got the salad with the chopped bbq and a side of homemade chips with Ranch. Both were good. The others got the chopped bbq sandwich. Everyone liked their food.

The Her-Q-Les sandwich is really the only item close to worth its price. Prices for everything is a bit high and you don't get a side with it. I think you could sacrifice a whopping $.89 for fries to come with that price. Decent decor on the inside, pretty clean. Service was a bit slow. Took nearly 10 minutes to get seen after we sat. Then another 12 minutes to get drinks. Servers are nice and very respectful. Overall, if you gotta get your fill, get that her-Q-Les sammich. Otherwise for that price I'll just head to Camel city. All I'm saying is. Throw in a couple fries or a basket of hush puppies!

Was pretty impressed by this somewhat remote (to me) Little Richard's location! I ended up coming here with my parents who now live somewhat in the area, as we were looking for a place with some good protein options that wasn't too far from their new home. Little Richard's at this point is a local chain that started out in Clemmons, which is about 20 minutes away from here. They serve a wide variety of BBQ, and I like that, because you don't feel shoehorned into one particular style or sauce. Speaking of variety, you have to love the wide selection of meats, sides, and sauces, ready for you to mix and match to your pleasure. I also love that whenever you order a tray, they really fill it up! You won't go hungry. It's kind of their signature to make sure your tray is filled end to end with stuff, they'll just keep piling hushpuppies in there until it is. This does not hurt my feelings. On my visit, I had the brisket plate with fried okra and slaw. On arrival, I was really happy with the amount of brisket for the price. The brisket was pretty tender, the texture was a little on the pot-roasty side as opposed to fresh from the pit sliced brisket, but I know how hard that is to maintain unless you are just churning out customers and brisket like crazy. It was solid. Okra and hushpuppies were great. I did not care for my slaw, it was way to heavy on mayo, i prefer a lighter coating with a bit more vinegar as well. Looking around the table, some people liked what they got, others were fine but said they wouldn't order them again. We enjoyed playing with the different sauces and trying things. In the end, this isn't a priority stopover for me, but I would definitely come here if in the area again and my folks suggest it.

The only reason im giving this location a 1 star is because the ppl working in the kitchen were cursing in Spanish and i was sitting very close to the kitchen. I went by myself but if i had gone with my family my wife and my daughter it would have been a problem there. He was not just cursing in Spanish but using very foul language, i go there to eat and have a great time by myself or with my family NOT to listen to this kind of conversation at a family restaurant. Little Richard do better hire ppl with a bit more of commence sense, or more educated they are NOT at home for them to speak like that were their is families eating there. Needless to say wont go back there.

Have I told you lately how much I LOVE Little Richard's? If not, I'm telling you now. It really is so good. I grew up on this stuff and I'm still loving it 30 some odd years later. They have so much variety of meats and sides. I have been particularly enjoying the chopped BBQ salad lately but I also like to order a meat with sides plate. They have the best chopped BBQ sandwich and the buns are so buttery and delicious. Pro-tip - add pickles and banana peppers to your BBQ salad and thank me later. YUM! The service is always friendly and it really feels like going home when you eat at Little Richards. There are multiple locations across the Triad so find one near you!

I came here on 2/9/21 with my co worker for lunch around 2pm. We were in the area for work and was so hungry! This restaurant is in a little shopping center. When we went inside, it wasn't that just and we were sat promptly. Our waitress was Savannah. She was attentive and friendly. We were gonna get food keto style but ultimately decided not to. I really wanted to get my money's worth. I got the smoked chicken with collards and baked beans. It was all delicious! My co worker for the chopped pork Bbq with collards and Mac n cheese. She stated that she enjoyed her food. It came with hush puppies. They provided butter and it was so good! The food came out fairly quickly after ordering, which was wonderful because we were sooooo hungry!!! Covid wise, masks are required and worn by staff. Also, they provide hand sanitizer at the check out counter. The service was great. Food was great. No complaints at all

Stopped by to try it out with my two boys after a basketball game. Staff was friendly but our table needed an extra wipe down as it was sticky when we sat down. Our server was great and took good care of us. We had the BBQ cheese fries to start off and they were really good. The boys had a hotdog and chicken legs and both were pretty much typical for what you would expect. I ordered the LRB wrap with shaved brisket. I like that it was pressed and had the grill marks to prove it. The only issue I had with it was that due to being hot pressed, the lettuce and tomato inside got hot making them mushy. It would be great to have the crisp cold veggies to help contrast with the warm meat. One of the stars of the meal though was their sweet tea... it was extra good! Overall, definitely want to get back over to eat here again soon!

    Interior

I wanted to try a new BBQ place and this place was good. They had a selection of BBQ sauces and I won't go into those as that is very subjective. The meats were great. I tried the smoked wings with no sauce and they were fantastic! I got the 3 meat plate. I chose the sausage, chopped pork, and ribs with a side of BBQ slaw and green beans. The slaw was great and I know that too is polarizing, haha. The interior is casual and kid friendly. Definitely good to bring the family.

I chose their original sauce, by far the best selection for the brisket. As usual the to go order was out quickly, just over 10 minutes, and I was on my way, with my meal securely packaged. These folks do a great job filling your order quickly and accurately, and for a reasonable price - things that used to be so common at restaurants stretching from hot dog joints to steak houses - pretty rare these days! This was the typical excellent meal from Honky Tonk - the brisket was very nice, made very special by their original BBQ sauce; the Brisket Chili had its own full smoky taste, with beans included, but apparently no onions; and the collards are good but not great - more sweetness than I care for, no sign of meat onions, or cabbage. I drain the liquid that comes with the collard and add a healthy doses of red wine vinegar and Texas Pete. The sausage included cheddar and jalapeños, and packed a nice spice level. This would be nice served a full length on a hot dog bun with a stout mustard. This Tue and Wed promise to be rather cool, will consider another visit for the Brunswick Stew, more good stuff!

Additionally the front room tables don't have any of the vintage gaming systems that we've come to enjoy playing on past visits. Waitstaff were ok, but again, not as outgoing, or attentive as past visits. I honestly feel this front room is easily forgotten by even the staff. On this visit I got the brisket with hushpuppies as a side. The brisket was good, I do wish I'd gotten a different side, the hushpuppies were good, but got heavy after a bit, and made me feel a bit sluggish. Our server was warm, attentive, and seemed to anticipate what we needed before we asked. The space has that familiar barbecue joint look. Nothing fancy, just comfortable and family friendly. Noise level sat right in the middle, lively but not overwhelming, and no one rushed us even as we lingered, laughed, and took more photos than necessary. I ordered the Pitmaster Plate with North Carolina chopped barbecue. You can choose sliced, chunky, or chopped. The pork was tender, flavorful, and exactly the slightly vinegary flavor I love. I added collard greens, coleslaw, and sweet potato casserole. The greens had a slight kick but were balanced. The coleslaw was fresh and necessary alongside the barbecue. The sweet potato casserole was easily the standout side. The only drawback is portioning on the sides. They are a bit small, especially if you are planning leftovers. I went in hoping to stretch this into multiple meals and almost made it. Still worth it, just manage expectations. Also worth noting, bread does not come with the plate, so I added rolls. My total came to about $31 with the automatic gratuity for larger groups, and I added a little extra. For the quality, service, and portion of barbecue, that feels more than fair. Everything was consistently good, and the experience made it even better. Great spot for groups, easygoing, and welcoming. I will be back. The chicken itself was excellent. It was incredibly juicy, perfectly fried, and had a great crispy coating. My only issue was that the breading felt like it was missing a little something, maybe more seasoning, pepper, or some extra flavor. Growing up with places like Gus's Fried Chicken in Memphis and Nashville hot chicken, I think I naturally expect a little more punch from the chicken itself. The sauce they serve is more of a barbecue style sauce, and while it worked, I personally didn't love it enough for it to carry all the flavor. The sides were a mixed bag. The collard greens were really good and definitely one of the highlights. The coleslaw, though, was way too pepper heavy for my taste. Also, the piece of bread that comes with the meal was honestly not worth the calories. I'd rather see them either upgrade the bread or skip it altogether. One unexpected highlight was the pebble ice from the drink machine. Small detail, but it was awesome and definitely appreciated. Overall, I'd come back and try some different sides because the chicken itself is worth returning for. With a little more seasoning or some different sauce options, I could see this being a 5 star spot.
