Turkey BBQ and 2 sides

Food is fairly good, but I say this because we all have our preferences for taste. I think if you prefer more vinegar based greens, then you will like these. The turkey needs a bbq sauce soaking. However, the flavor is there. I like the coleslaw because it was the right amount of sweet to vinegar ratio. The macroni and cheese is for those who like cheese and mac. I like a bechamel sauce, then some cheese to top, so it's more juicy but not loose. Also, please salt the pasta water. The women who took my order were friendly. Small walk up. There is some room for about 4 customers to stand. There is no ambiance to speak of.

First I must say I've always loved their food truck, it was a must stop at any food truck rodeo I went no matter the line. I was shocked to learn they had a store and thrilled to give them a try and I wasn't disappointed. This is my second time eating from this location. Warm welcomes and friendly smiles is how I was greeted coming in. The cashier at the time Michelle was very friendly and took care of me immediately. She took my order and passed me a pager to let me know when my order is done. This is a walk up counter establishment andthe service is fast and the food was amazing. Order took around 12-15mins to be ready. Total for family size turkey bbq, baked beans, Mac and cheese, yams, hush puppies and two soul rolls for $52 which is a steal. We have a little more than 7 servings of food.

I ordered the new Honey Sriracha Turkey Sandwich and fries! Delicious! Even though I'm not a pickle fan, I ate it with the 2 pickle chips! Excellent. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have any Turkey legs! And I'm kinda mad at myself. I asked "What's the Crack & Cheese?" She explained it, but my ears turned off when she said "cracklin". I don't do much pork beyond bacon and pepperoni. Later that day, I was told that it was Turkey cracklin and not pork! So now I gotta make my way back there for the crack & cheese... and a Turkey leg! BTW, this is not a Turkish restaurant like it says in the description.

Crackin mac n cheese

Ehhhhhh! I have seen this place so many times at food truck festivals, downtown and the local fairs. I have always wanted to try the crackin Mac and cheese but I've never had a chance too. Luckily I finally near the restaurant and I had to give it a try! I was super excited to try it after reading the reviews. They were pretty half and half lol So I went for it anyways. I didn't really get what I was expecting! I was super upset that the hush puppies were cold. I could definitely taste the potential. But the bowl was OK!!! I thought it was going to be as good as it looked !!!!!!!!! I could taste the potential in their too. If I ever go back I would definitely do them separate. Mac n cheese and turkey bbq on the side ! I would also try the other items on the menu. It's definitely worth trying though. I honestly think it was just overpowered by the vinegary sauce!

Fried turkey wings

I got the fried turkey wings a giant turkey leg and some cracklens and let me tell you, so juicy and flavorful! I ordered the smoked wings but they were out and so they offered me the fried and I was worried it would be dry, I had no need to worry! They were tender and packed with flavor. This will become a regular spot and I will be bringing the turkey home for thanksgiving this year. The service was out of this world as well! I could go on all day! Do not sleep on this place!

Stopped by craving a turkey leg. Purchased one Cranckin cheese turkey leg and one plain turkey leg. Textures were nice, flavors meshed well, and the sauce was a little hot, little spicy, little sweet. Great addition to the meal. Staff was so friendly dly and greeted us as if they'd known us for years. If you like turkey legs I recommend go here. At least once try the crackin cheese turkey leg. It was like a party in your mouth. My husband and I shared it and it was plenty for 2.

Crack 'N Cheese

Stopped at the Hickory Tree food truck at the Wide Open Bluegrass Festival in Raleigh. Crack 'n cheese was intriguing... And EXCELLENT! The signature dish is a scoop of creamy Mac' n cheese, covered with chopped smoked turkey, slathered with sweet and tangy BBQ sauce and topped with some turkey cracklins. Each bite explodes in your mouth with the combination of creamy, smoky, tangy and crunchy. Yeah, this is crack indeed.... I'm already jonesing for more! Next time in Greensboro we're checking out the shop. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

When they're open this is easily a top spot for a Smoked Turkey leg, and the prices were just a plus.

If you've ever dreamed of visiting Istanbul for authentic Turkish cuisine, you don't have to travel…read morethat far, just head to Zeeyum Kitchen on W. Market Street in Greensboro! After hearing so many great things, my family and I finally decided to try it this weekend, and all I can say is... WOW! What an incredible experience from start to finish. First, let me say that Zee, the owner and chef, is one of the most welcoming restaurateurs you'll ever meet. He not only prepares amazing food but also takes the time to personally greet his guests, making you feel like family the moment you walk in. We started with the Hummus and Fresh Flatbread, and it was absolutely outstanding, fresh, creamy, and full of flavor. Next came the Börek (Ground Beef and Feta Cheese). Think of it as the best, most flavorful "egg roll" you've ever had, but with authentic Turkish flair. Simply delicious! I had the Bugu Kebabi, served in a clay plate with red onions and tomatoes. Sealed with baked bread. I'm usually not a lamb person, but when Zee explained that the lamb is marinated for hours in an onion-based broth, I decided to step outside my comfort zone. I'm so glad I did! The lamb was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. The presentation was also unique and memorable, with the delicate thin bread cut open right at the table. It was more than enough for my daughter and me to share. My wife ordered the Beyti Kebab, is a Turkish dish consisting of ground beef, grilled on a skewer and served wrapped in lavash and topped with yogurt sauce and butter sauce. Every single bite was bursting with amazing flavors. Another outstanding dish! All the desserts are to die for, many are imported from Turkey. Before you leave, don't miss the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Turkish Coffee, Turkish Wines, or a Turkish Beers to complete the experience. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers healthy, authentic, delicious, and very reasonably priced food, Zeeyum Kitchen should absolutely be on your list. The service is exceptional, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and there's plenty of convenient parking. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back!!!

Rich, savory sauces, a menu that is a good guide. I had the Bugu Kebabi - slow cooked lamb in a glazed pot, sealed with a pita crust. If you like lamb you will love this. Kofte meatballs are also outstanding, if you prefer beef. There's a whole page of vegan dishes, as well Baklava selection is beyond words. All of us had a lovely time. Can't wait to repeat.

We didn't even need to look at the menu because we both wanted the Iskander Platter. Lucky we came in when we did because we got the last of it. Since having it the first time, I've watched a few recipe videos on how it's made. It's quite a process and takes a while so it's understandable they can't just make more quickly if they run out. This time it had a little different flavor than the last time. It had a saltier flavor and not quite as buttery as I remembered which was disappointing since that was the best part for me. It was still delicious but I was happy for the yogurt that helped cut the saltiness a little. Possibly the sauce became more concentrated since it was the end of the batch they had. I could only finish half because it's such a large portion but my husband finished his. The service was super friendly as always. The owners here are so lovely and always attentive. I will definitely be back again.

It's a bit indulgent and I couldn't eat it every day, but it is unique and delicious and the best Iskender I've ever had.

Where else can you get a salad with pasta salad, piyaz, and grape leaves in it? Talk about so many Mediterranean flavors in one bowl! Our server was great; she was very attentive, checking in on us and refilling our waters when needed. Our food came out quickly, and it was fresh and delicious. My spouse ordered the Duram Adana, which was full of flavor, and was definitely spicy. Our only critique was that it came with a bag of chips, though you can get a different side for an upcharge. We shared the Mixed Appetizer plate, which came with hummus, baba ganoush, piyaz, grape leaves, and fresh pita. The baba ganoush was beautifully smoky, and the pita was pillow-y soft. I began working for myself around that time and don't eat out much anymore but I do occasionally still make it in when I meet friends or family for lunch. I've noticed a more prominent social media presence lately and in those posts Turkish pizza, pide, was featured. I'm in! We started our dinner with an order of falafel. It's one of my favorite dishes and I make it at home occasionally. My husband ordered the Adana Kebab and I of course just had to try the pide. The choices were only beef or spinach so spinach it was, since we had beef with the other entree. We almost always eat half and switch plates, so we can try several things and this was no exception. As always the adana was delicious, I just love the seasonings in the meat. The tabouleh was very different than I remembered though, consisting of way more greens than much of anything else so the flavor just wasn't the best for me. The pide was yummy, simple and flavorful, a perfect size for a lunch portion in my opinion. Filling but you wouldn't be stuffed. The staff were very attentive and as always, the owner made a few rounds in the dining room. It's great to see a local business standing the test of time and still cranking out good eats!

And the dolmas...you know when you have one that has hard rice inside that is dry and bland? Well this is the exact opposite. Soft and tender rice, juicy and tasty. On Sundays they open at 12 noon. So I did a little shopping and came on over for lunch. When I pulled into the parking lot it seemed kind of full which is to be expected when a tick tock went viral just yesterday, I think. The restaurant itself seemed clean. There was plenty of space to sit down and eat. There were booths and tables with chairs. The girls at the service counter were exceptionally kind. There was a little bit of a wait on the food but not too bad. I ordered ahead of time and they told me about 20ish minutes and I got mine in 25 minutes. I was a little disappointed because they didn't have the chicken ready so I didn't want to wait an extra 45 minutes. So I just went ahead and ordered the beef shawarma wrap and I ordered creamy cucumber salad. Honestly, it tasted pretty good but it wasn't anything to write home to Mama about. Was it worth the $12 just for the wrap? I personally don't think so. It's not bad at all. Would I get it again, probably. But I also want to try other places that may make this so I have something to compare it to. If you're craving a chicken shawarma because you've been seeing people eat it all over social media........ Go ahead and go on over to Aladdin's to at least give it a try yourself. I would love to come back and try the chicken Shawarma and some of their bowls. Ciao for now.
