On a recent vacation to Chicago, we checked out the Little Sandwich House for lunch. This place has it all! It had a very cozy atmosphere, the staff was incredibly friendly,they had great food, and great coffee! And they had gluten-free bread! And to top it off, this is a black-owned/African-American-owned business. I had the Caribbean Chicken Wrap(on GF bread). It was so fresh and tasty! My kids lived the Coconut Açaí Bowls. Let me start by saying this restaurant has the best customer service I have received in a long time. I do not say that lightly. From the moment I walked in, the cashier Josiah and Julian made me and my guest feel at home. Josiah was patient as I decided on what to order and so kind. Julian was warm, welcoming and an absolute joy. The establishment is beautiful on the inside and a great working space or to have a bite to eat. I had the Southwest Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It was flavorful and a great blend of spices. My guest enjoyed the California Turkey. I highly recommend going here for both the food, decor and customer service. read more

Super cute place. We just moved to Chicago at the beginning of the week and have been twice so far. We waited a few minutes in line and the lady at the counter was training. My son and I stopped here after touring Illinois Institute of Technology. We both had smoothies, I had a coffee, and we got a sandwich to split. My smoothie was delicious as was his. I had their green one, I can't remember the name but it was healthy and tasted great. My coffee was perfect, I ordered a lavender latte and it was perfect. Not too sweet and the espresso tasted high quality. My son ended up eating the sandwich on his own because the smoothie was filling, but he said it was very good. He'll eat anything so take it with a grain of salt, but based on the things I did try I'd imagine most things from here are very good. It did take a bit to get the food and drinks, but not an awful amount of time. My son went in to grab it and said everyone was friendly inside. We were at a wrestling tournament for our son, we didn't know the area, so like a good yelper, I looked up eating places. This place has great rating so we decided to go here, and I'm so glad we did. The ambiance is chilled, low volume smooth R&B playing in the background. Place felt homie from the start. Very clean and great layout, tons of tables and very clean. The restroom is very clean and decluttered. We were welcomed by Zelda (Yes, I know! How cool is her name?) she was lovely, very patient and kind. Zelda has a great smile and she's soft spoken. Love the cozy vibe here at Little Sandwich house. It seems like the perfect spot to work at if you WFH or maybe enjoy lunch with a friend. The workers were so kind and explained items on the menu as my dad and I were deciding upon what to eat. I opted for the roast beef sandwich which was so amazingly good. I've never had chimichurri on a sandwich before. My dad ordered the tuna sandwich and enjoyed it. We also ordered the German chocolate cake too which was so tasty and moist. WOW just discovered this GEM today! The food was soo good and the drinks were great too. My husband and I will surely be visiting regularly. The service was fast and thorough and the counter clerk had good recommendations based on my taste. Inside the shop is clean and well maintained so you feel confident ordering food from there; and the overall aesthetic was quiet and cute. So I tried this place earlier in the week and wanted to start out small with a BLT with avocado. The sandwich was the one thing that went right for me that day. So, I decided to go in on a Saturday to try it again to see if it would be a fluke and it was absolutely not. The food in this place is so good and has so much quality I cannot believe that it is this close to my home.
