I walked to the nearby Pine Street Market, conveniently located in Portland's Old Town/Chinatown area (7/8/26). One of the several businesses onsite included Little Thai Peacock. I ended up placing my order and completing payment via kiosk for Khao Haang & Pork Belly and a bottled water. This entree had pork meatballs, pork belly, broccoli, garlic rice, dipping sauce, and bone broth. I received my order after a brief wait. Just make sure to retain your kiosk receipt for proof at pickup, plus this has the restroom code if needed while onsite. I ate onsite seated at one of the many communal tables. Lively vibe with all the folks dining, imbibing, chatting en masse. It was just okay, not overly flavorful. Low ratio of proteins & veg to garlic rice. I felt bad tossing half the rice. We ordered takeout and I will say they did a great job packing. We got the yellow curry, pad kee mao and the basil fried rice The veggies were very fresh and flavorful. Portion size is decent. Everything looked great. Basil fried rice was my favorite It was also easy to see which ones were vegetarian and you can make most dishes vegan What I didn't like was that there was no spice to any of them whatsoever. Maybe that's a good thing to get the original taste but it would've been nice to have that option on DoorDash to make things spicier or have more heat to them. The yellow curry was a miss for me, felt watered down like it's a soup more than curry. If you like Thai food but don't care for spice the noodles and rice are worth trying for sure. read more

Ridiculously great Thai food in a food market setting. You just need to go up to the counter and choose anyone of their great dishes to try. We got the house curry noodles with crispy pork and pad se ew with chicken. The crab cream cheese wontons were crispy and hot with a nice sweet-and-sour sauce at the lychee iced tea and Thai lime tea were great refreshers that paired well with the great food. Located a block away from the waterfront, Little Thai Peacock makes its home in an indoor Asian food cart serving tasty Thai comfort food. You order on the kiosk and you get your order at the pick-up window. The workers are quick and efficient and are actually Thai which is a good sign. When you receive your order, you can also ask for Thai soy sauce/ chili oil. The food court itself is casual and has a lot of seating so it wasn't hard to find a table. For a Friday lunch, it was relatively quiet. Food is served in huge portions of everything: noodles, protein, vegetables. My house curry noodle was packed with crispy pork belly, meatballs, chinese broccoli, and noodles. It was impossible to eat it all in one sit down. The pork was tasty and tender and the broth was very flavorful and slightly spicy even without the chili oil. My partner ordered the Khao Pad Sapparod which was a little greasy. There was a lot of rice and less protein compared to the house curry noodle. But the chicken that my partner ordered with his rice was well seasoned and tender. I think it's safer to stick with their curries and broths which are packed with flavor and protein vs the rice where they don't give as much protein. But for comfort food, little Thai Peacock hits the spot. read more

I recently ordered several items from them delivered by GH. Everything arrived fresh, hot and well packaged. The items were delivered in brown bags that were stapled shut ensuring a tamper free arrival. Very nice. I ordered yellow curry, pad Thai, stir fried veggies and pineapple rice. There is a choice of meats, tofu or veggies for each item. The food was delicious! Each item was full of flavor. Spicy items are notated on the menu but there isn't a choice for spice level when ordering. Be sure to let them know if you're especially sensitive. This place was located inside the Pine Street Market food hall. I was staying nearby and came here to pick up a quick dinner. Ordering was simple. I used their kiosk to place a to-go order for their Pad Thai with added pork meatballs. I then waited nearby for my order to be ready. I received a text when my order was ready. My food was well packaged for the transport back to my room. While it wasn't the best that I've ever had, it was good. I wouldn't mind coming back to try other items on their menu. read more

What's worse is they use a system that sends you a text when your food is ready. I received my text about 15 minutes after ordering. The rice bowl itself was an amalgamation of savory and salty flavors. The fish was fried well, not too greasy and not overcooked. One thing I would have appreciated in the dish would have been less mayo and if they seasoned the broccoli even just a little. It just didn't need the mayo and made the dish a bit heavier, while the broccoli felt like it was just added to add color and nothing else. That said, serving was pretty big and definitely filling. I ordered the garlic rice with pork belly. The garlic hung around, for a very long time. The pork was a bit different than other places, it was semi-crispy and dusted with flavor. I customized my dish by adding pineapple and baby corn. Dish would have been fine without both. I had Panang Curry and it was the best I've ever eaten. The vegetables were fresh, perfect spice and a large portion. I'll be back as soon as I can. I will probably try their house Panang next. It may be similar, but with different vegetables. Service was quick and aside from cash, there was tap to pay options. As for the market where it's located, there's a handful of restaurants inside and a bar in the middle. It is clean and open with ample seating. Really enjoyed the food here. The cream cheese wonton were fresh, and piping hot. Crunchy outside and generously filled inside. I would have preferred a little more of the krab meat, but overall I didn't feel like I was missing too much. I also got the panang curry with the crispy trout ($3) as my protein on the side. It was so good. I am used to my boneless white fish as typically swai or cod, but the trout reminded me of actual "fish flavor" (IYKYK), dense flaky meat, and with the skin still on for that bit of oil lean fish need. $3 for those two square filets is also a pretty good deal. The curry itself was also pretty good in flavor, although the curry felt a little thin. I also appreciated the rice being fluffy, individual grains, slightly dry to absorb the curry goodness. The server/cashier was also super nice, and made sure I got everything I wanted/needed before I sat down to enjoy the food. He offered me mayo for the fish since I had ordered it on the side. The way the items were served and arranged also made is super easy and clean to eat. Definitely recommend and will come back when in the area. read more

How could this place get anything less than 5 stars?? After our dinner, I don't have any idea why they don't have more reviews and why they would have anything less than a perfect 5 star review! Quick, friendly service, and the man behind the counter even helped me decide between the two curries! The curry had the perfect spice, and I have to admit that it was probably the best curry I've ever had...I DO wish the broccoli pieces were cut a little smaller, but the flavor was off the chart! The pad see ew was a little sweet, but once again, the flavors were sooo good, and while I usually have this dish with broccoli and carrots, the bok choy was a great substitution! It was fresh and perfectly cooked! The last dish was excellent as well...in fact, my husband was finished with his dish so fast, that I didn't even realize I didn't even get to try any of it! Hahaha! We usually give each other a bite of our food so we can compare, but that was how much he was enjoying it! This restaurant is housed in the Pine Street Market, so you order and then find a place to sit and eat. It's very casual, and a warm, indoor space...like a food truck pod...only warmer and cleaner! If you want hygiene this isn't the place to be. Immunocompromised? Walk on by. Nobody here has a food handler license. Nobody speaks English. I watched Adolfo clean his nose extremely thoroughly, and go right back to prepping bags of fresh food for the cook. Bare hands no gloves deep into a tub of fresh food without washing. He played with his phone multiple times and stuck his unwashed hands back into the tub of fresh food he was prepping. I tried to have a conversation about this insane breach of basic hygiene but neither he nor his co-workers spoke enough English to communicate. The market has no management on site. It's a mess. I'm a sucker for Thai noodle soup or any noodle soup for that matter but this place just didn't hit the mark. I was staying in dt and too lazy to drive to ba mee noodle or kao moo dang so I thought I'd try this place close to me that had the same kind of noodle dish. I should've known from the fact that it was in a food court but I still went for it. You can tell that both meats in the soup, the meatballs and pork belly were deep fried before tossed in the broth. I asked for extra fried garlic (my fault) and I believe the way they do it is store it in oil so I believe even more oil was added to my dish. The noodles were clumpy and overcooked.
