Delicious #1 Pho Bo (Round Steak & Lean Brisket) with meatball and tendon. Large portions and great service.
Noreen W.

Highly recommended! Delicious, great atmosphere, good location and service! Try it! The hot coffee was awesome and the fresh spring rolls were very large and great portions here especially with the soup.

Had not been here in years, but a friend recommended i try it out again. Glad to report the food is tasty! Order first, then find seating. This could be your weekend cure! Ordered Pho beef, Pho chicken, classic salad rolls, crispy rolls, and lemon grass chicken bahn mi to go. The location is in pearl so in a convenient shopping and eating area. Every dish we ordered was simple and not overly seasoned/flavored. definitely good to know this restaurant has solid choices. once you're done, you can clean up a little, but table is taken care of by staff. looks like it's kept well.

Good place to grab pho and Vietnamese food in Portland. You place your order at register and then sit down and wait for your food. Ordered the limited chicken vermicelli with spring roll; both were delicious.

The main place to go in the pearl for Vietnamese food. Food is decent. I like their bahn mi. Got the beef pho - there was a piece of plastic in my food. Looked like part of a wrapper. Owner offered to make a new one but I had already eaten a bunch

One of the best Pho's I've ever tasted. One bowl fills you up very well, and there's plenty of meat, and I mean PLENTY. The huge panoramic windows all add to the vibe. The wait time I would say was average.

Satisfying all around.

The Pineapple Mojito cocktail was tasty. Enjoyed the Crispy Catfish Banh Mi, I wish it was offered as a rice dish. And the crispy egg rolls were a cut above the norm in size and taste. Price points are higher as the menu is a bit elevated as is the area. Friendly and quick service.

Short rib pho

This place is amazing. Found it after a sandwich shop had sold out. It was so comforting and everything I wanted. Food came out quick and it was a nice quiet day to have lunch. Though, I wasn't suspecting the short rib pho to have a dinosaur sized bone, it was still delicious and I'm still thinking of it. Wish I lived in pdx to get more

Mediocre Pho & broth sucks. No tendon, no meatballs, no tripe, very lame!
cutestuff c.

I came here for PHO & PHO only! I am so disappointed. I came here today for work lunch and I ordered the beef pho for $16.97. I taste the broth first before I add anything on and oh my not so good at all! What is this? My real question is who really made the broth!??? It is not flavor full at all I felt like I just sipped water and salt. Where is the cinnamon? Where are the aniseeds? Where is the beefy taste from beef bones? I don't really taste any of that. This is not even close to authentic pho. It's very mediocre for the price. If you open a restaurant I'm expecting authentic Vietnamese broth soup that's been cooking for hours to days and that broth has been simmering in beef bones for a long time. I don't even taste the beefy ness from the broth like I said I felt like I taste water and salt nothing about the soup was beefy or taste like it's been simmering in beef bones! If you're Vietnamese you know what I'm talking about and if you had real pho you really know what I'm talking about. I will not come back here for pho because it's not worth the price and the flavor is not it. You are not getting real pho broth here! I hope you know this pho is not poppin! Go to Pho Kim off 82nd or Pho Saigon Xua or V Restaurant & lounge off SE foster they got that bomb beef rib pho! Broth is amazing they know what they doing in the broth. When you eat pho you should know the broth has to be good to slurp!

Really good pho. Cool interior. Friendly service. My only complaint is after I scarf down my Pho I always want to take a nap. And my bed is on the other side of the river. A+!

One of the original Vietnamese staple eateries in town. Once a choice downtown location before everything began migrating to Pearl & Slab. Standard menu for quick ordering upon entering with self serve water & self bussing. Easy lunch for the walkable workforce. The pho ~ a lot of nudos and little meat. If you want to warm up by sipping, make sure to ask for less noodles/more broth and to make it extra temperature hot otherwise you will settle for just warm. A bit pricey compared to the joints in the northeast but it is downtown. The regular annoyance are individuals who will take up a large table all for themselves. This is not a coffee shop to sit and camp with your laptop. They still have your own squeezable bottles of Sriracha & plum oyster sauce at every table ;)

It was the best khao soi we've ever had though. The crispy pork belly topping that is included in both items was the best crispy pork belly we've had from Thai restaurant. It looks like it can be dry but it's actually soft moist flavorful and freshly crispy. Other places they make it too dry or too hard, or the skin is stale/hard. Lastly $3 Cha-Yen you can't beat the value of this. It actually had such good tea flavor and not overly sweet or weak like a lot of other restaurants. My wife got the Ba-Mhee Tom-Yum which had great flavor with a good kick, my wife can't handle spice well and struggled a bit but it was perfect to me. Egg noodles were perfect and not soggy. Biggest surprise of these dishes was the crispy pork belly that remained crispy despite being in sauce or broth. I would come back for sure for a solid delicious meal.

There is plenty of seating there and It looked like there was a space for live music and string lights - probably a fun spot to grab dinner in the evening. We came for lunch and ordered the chao mian with chicken (spicy) and bian bian noodles (spicy). The noodles are cooked to order and we were served quickly. The serving sizes are huge. Neither one of us could finish ours. We'll likely order one dish to split next time, and that'd still probably be more than enough. The flavor of the chao mian was a bit lackluster. It was savory with a soy sauce flavor base, but got a bit repetitive with each bite. It was decently spicy and texture was there with the veggies, but I wish there was a way to customize with more spice or vinegar to taste. The bian bian noodles were more flavorful and also spicier. Fun noodle texture. There are also other vendors in the garden so you can pair a dessert, drink, or side with your meal while staying in the same area. Overall, a filling meal for a good price! Would come again to try their beef noodle soup.

The place was full of hungry locals and tourists but was uncustomarily quiet and calm. From the hostess that seated us, to the waitress and servers, all staff and management were extremely polite, positive and helpful. We were starving. So we ordered 3 entrees and side of Dry-fried String beans. The Green Beans were cooked perfectly and the serving size was generous! One of our new favorites is the Mongolian Chicken. Is not a spicy Chinese food dish but the moist chicken and seasonings produced a yummy & comfort food level dish! As usual, the lightly battered & deveined Butterfly prepared Salt & Pepper Shrimp was mouthwatering, with every bite. As the last entree to be served. The ten Chicken & Vegetable Dumplings were fresh and flavorful. Needless to say, with only 2 patrons eating lunch with 3 heaping entrees plus Dry-fried String beans and white rice - we took home 2 more meals worth of Chinese food leftovers. We devoured everything and left no crumbs but the dishes I would likely gravitate back towards are the hand pulled noodles, wings, and actually the Mandoo! The hand pulled noodles were coated nicely with a spicy sauce and had a great chew to them. I loved the thickness of the noodles and added crunch from the cabbage and other veggies. Half sweet and half spicy for the wings was the way to go - each wing was doused in sauce and sesame seeds but still maintained its crunch. As someone that doesn't usually like wings, these were fantastic. Lastly, the Mandoo surprised me! It was the sauce that sealed the deal. It was like a thousand island, poppy seed kind of dressing that worked very well. I couldn't stop eating them. If you're looking for authentic Korean food, this is the place!
