While the school has seen several administrative changes, including a very difficult period under a previous director, we stayed because of the incredible teaching staff. Unfortunately, the school recently lost Ms. Shelina, an 11-year veteran and the only fully Montessori-certified teacher on staff. To see a teacher of her caliber and dedication pushed out--seemingly due to administrative interference with her classroom expertise--is heartbreaking. Furthermore, the physical environment has declined; classrooms have become overcrowded with furniture, making it difficult for children to work independently as the Montessori method intends. Until there is stability in staffing and a return to true Montessori standards, I find it difficult to recommend this school to new families.

I want to share my experience so other parents are aware. My 3-year-old was told he needed to be…read more"assessed" for his pretend play and how he follows directions -- both completely normal for his age, according to his doctor and behavioral therapist. And was without our consent. At 3 years old, children are learning how to play, listen, and understand -- they shouldn't be held to unrealistic standards. I later learned this had supposedly been a concern since he was 2, yet no one ever discussed it with us. It feels like the school made assumptions and took advantage of us being young, first-time parents instead of communicating openly. Parents deserve transparency and children deserve to be supported, not judged.

I originally decided on them years ago based on their low tuition prices but happened upon a goldmine of incredible staff and administration. Not only did my boys learn social skills, letters, counting, and principles, the school is run so well that when it was time for public school, I was in shock at the disorder compared to how Ms. Linda ran things at Fuller Hearts. Communication is clear and consistent, Covid protocols were excellent and prompt, and most of all our kids loved going there. I had high hopes for Green Space, I'm a public teacher and have a degree in early education. I was…read morethrilled to find a place I thought aligned to my beliefs for child development, but it ultimately fell short. The director, Amanda, is unresponsive and dismissive, which sets the tone for the entire operation. Communication is inconsistent, and the operation is disorganized. The handbook lacks clarity. Policies contradict each other, and important information is often passed by "word of mouth." I liked most of the teachers; they genuinely cared and kept my son safe. However, the constant turnover made it difficult to establish a stable environment. My son had three different lead teachers in just five months. Safety concerns and inconsistencies. It was revealed to me, quietly of course, that there had been no fire drills during my son's time there. The hours changed from 7:30-6 to 9-4 unless paying extra. I also think there were time that the ratio wasn't correct. While I appreciate the efforts of some staff members, the leadership and organization issues make Green Space a place to avoid. I wasted time, money, and peace of mind. If you value stability and clear communication, look elsewhere. The Texas licensing page says that they provide snacks and the handbook says that they provide snacks. Apparently that's only the toddler class and older. And my final complaint, I sent an email to the owner at the end of October, three months after my child had started there, expressing all of my concerns and feedback. She never responded. Now that I have experienced a different daycare, one right across the street, I see how much Green Space was lacking.

She has helped us feel comfortable with our decision to make CC our school of choice, and you can tell really does enjoy her job and takes it very serious. She is super friendly and engages with the parents every time you step inside the school.
