Seriously can't get enough of this place (almost gate kept it ). Service at Little Wine House is elite, the owners are so friendly and welcoming. As someone who knows very little about wine, this was a real treat to try different options and learn some new blends. While I came for wine, the food was STELLAR! I recommend the white bean dip with chili crisp, served with a side of potato chips. Potato flatbread was also delish! There's a happy hour after 4pm (I think everyday?) which is great for trying some flights. Metered parking is available across the street.

Passed by this place while walking to Henry's (that's a separate review), so naturally I got on YELP to see what they were all about. We decided we wanted to check it out after dinner. Nici and Ty (the owners) were so pleasant and personable. We literally felt like we're chilling at their house. They had a great selection of wines and beers. They also offered a delicious cider. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have reasonable prices and cozy seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We didn't get to try the food, but we will definitely be back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Vegetarian options and pet-friendly patio![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute little spot, from the exterior to the interior.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I came here on a Thursday night with a couple of friends and there were only about maybe 8 to 10 other people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I hope that they get a decent amount of foot traffic to sustain. It's such a nice little gem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been wanting to check it out for awhile now, but I never really have a reason to come to this specific area of town. Also, they are only open for a limited set amount of hours which made it difficult to time. I'm so glad my friend spontaneously suggested checking this place out tonight. I got the flight and I felt that it was a very good deal for the quantity and quality of wines that you get to choose. I will definitely come back some time. Just wish they were open a little later!

Who would've thought I'd do a wine review after all these years. I'm not really a drinker of wine, beer or any alcohol, and I would've never thought to visit here, but I'm glad I did. Need to thank cousin for showing us this spot as it's my first time in Little Italy in San Jose, and the didn't lie when they said it was little. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The wine house is so beautiful. Entry way was so quaint and interior was fantastic and chic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu is so simple that I think it's all it needs. The wine flights were delightful and the service was amazing. Again since I don't drink, my happy behind got the non alcoholic champagne but it was still bomb. My cousins would let me try their wines only because I was curious and wanted to be sure I still had my wine knowledge together since it's been a while. The Can Sauv was my fav in terms of actual wine tasting. Berry delicious, haha. Next time, I'll be sure to come by with my partner so we can do a date night here.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]First time visiting Little Wine House, and what a cozy, charming spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and you place your order at the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food and drink menus are conveniently available through a QR code on each table. We ordered a Chardonnay and De Soi non-alcoholic drink, along with a board featuring four different bread assortments. Each one was packed with flavor--an explosion in every bite--and the pairings were so well thought out that we wanted to order more. The staff was welcoming, kind, and made us feel right at home. We're definitely looking forward to coming back to try more from the menu. Things to consider: Parking can be a bit tricky, but there is a paid lot nearby ($10). Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is mellow, perfect for relaxing and enjoying good food and drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is the cutest little wine bar! Came here on a Friday night with a party of 6. Parking is limited in the area, but not impossible to find. We arrived around 8PM, and while seating was a little difficult, they have open seating so we were able to wait a bit and grab a table. The staff were super accommodating and really friendly, which added to the experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. From the outside, the place looks like a house, and inside, you'll find a small bar with a couple of rooms to sit in. The wines are all reasonably priced- we went with a couple of glasses, and they were all fantastic. They also offer a flight for $21, with your choice of three different wines, which I'm definitely planning to try next time. One thing that really stood out to me was the music-- 2000's R&B and throwbacks all night long. It made for such a fun vibe. While this might not be the best spot for large groups, it's definitely perfect for a cozy date night or a pre-dinner glass of wine. Or even a catch up with a friend. Can't wait to come back and try their food + other wines on their menu!

Cannot recommend this place enough! Nice little cozy home for some wine and snacks. Be aware though seating may be limited! I think they should add some heat lamps for the outdoor seats to accommodate the cold weather for future references so it makes it cozier for people who cannot find a spot inside. We tried their wine flight with three different wines, the Brie and Apple crustie, the blistered tomato crustie, and the hot honey pepperoni flatbread. All the food/snacks were savory and delicious. We sat at the bar and everyone is so welcoming and open. This is a nice spot to bring your friends, will definitely bring my girlfriends in the future, I know they will love it.

Their vegetarian "crustie" options which were absolutely delicious

What an adorable place with delicious offerings. You can tell this place is staffed by folks who are big food nerds, and I love it. Great service and super adorable setting, great for a date night. The porch is inviting and inside is very well decorated. Bike parking right outside in eyesight, too The food was great and easy to share. We got a mix of their vegetarian "crustie" options that showcased their delicious ricotta well, with Calabrian chilies, tomatoes. Another had apple and brie, another was whipped sun dried tomato spread and some other umami fixins, and mascarpone and artichoke. Really great combos. We also shared the ricotta veggie flatbread which was bursting with flavor and delicious burnt cheese. And the brown butter rice krispie treats were a great finale The wine flight steered by the bartender didn't disappoint. Delicious and interesting wines that went great with all the nosh We'll be back!

Came here on a Saturday night around 6pm. Parking is extremely challenging in this area, I'd recommend taking an Uber vs. driving yourself. The space is super cute, cozy, and romantic vibes. The people at the bar area were extremely welcoming and friendly. It's all open seating so it's first come first serve. We were able to find seating in a private room in the back. They also have a patio area in the front of the business as well that was open and empty (it was chilly outside). They have a great wine selection and I felt the pricing was fair. $23/tasting and around $13-$20 for a glass of wine. They also do bottles. The charcuterie board pictures was the "everything board" which was HUGE and very rich. It took us almost 1.5 hours to eat the whole thing between sipping our wine and talking. This place is a vibe and I will definitely be back.

Not my personal cup of tea, but they do also offer sake and a few beers also. The first time we went, we ordered the arancini, bucatini, and the heritage pork katsu. I am a big advocate for trying new things every time I go to a restaurant, but it was so good I ordered the same thing the second time I went. Arancini is flavored with Japanese curry with creamy fontina in the center topped off with kimchi mayo. Holy f. These quite literally put the traditional Italian ones to shame (sorry not sorry). Next was the bucatini. It had tom yum butter, lime, basil- all the fix ins of what you want from tom yum flavors with the luxuriousness added from the butter. It was sinful. Last and certainly not least, is the pork katsu. I cannot even remember the last time I ordered a pork katsu, but something told me to order it. Thank God I did, as it quite literally changed my life. If they ever take it off the menu I am not sure I would be OK. It is crispy and is swimming in this koji butter, but the key is that it is NOT greasy. I quite literally think about it all the time. To the point where I had it twice in a week. Service was great, bartenders are so friendly. The place is cute and vibrant. Keep in mind it is small- limited seating inside and a small patio outside. But so worth the wait. It aint called Goodtime for no reason!

Ambiance 5 Wine 5…read more Service 5 Food 5 So why the 4 rating... TBH there's a good chance that I'll adjust it soon, but if I could give a 4.5 I would. First the knock, and to be fair, it's probably just an opinion / idea. Given the birth of natural wine and the South Bay, it would be wonderful to see a curated selection of tasting flights, no more than two or three options with anywhere from 3 to 6 wine wines each, priced accordingly. Maintaining a proper wine menu when all you do is natural wine can certainly be a challenge. If you wine flights depending on what you have would certainly elevate the customer experience by educating more people natural wine and helping them make better choices when it comes to a bottle purchase. I paid $61 for a bottle that was recommended, and at that price point I wonder how many people who are new to natural wine might be turned off. Chris was a wonderful host and certainly the right person to engage with customers around their various wines. Given how small the space is and how busy it can get, a weekly tasting flight menu might be a good way to engage those customers who are waiting to order at the bar and perhaps even spark a more productive conversation with Chris. We ordered the peach and ricotta dish with Thai basil... wow, a wonderful surprise. Peaches are always battling in and out of the top spot on my summer fruit list and this combination was downright dirty and delicious! We also ordered the raw oysters with watermelon mignonette. Another wow! I didn't expect the little spice kick and it was a perfect pairing to the sweetness of the watermelon. If anyone knows the recipe let me know, I'd bottle that mignonette and take it with me wherever I have oysters!! Overall, a great experience and I most definitely look forward to going back!

I walked in and stood waiting to be seated while an employee, who appeared to be the owner or manager, continued talking with her kids instead of acknowledging customers. I don't mind waiting, but a simple "We'll be right with you" would have made all the difference. I decided to give them another chance. On a later visit, I spent a few hours working there and ordered drinks. When a friend joined me, he sat down and was completely ignored. No one came over to greet him or ask if he'd like anything. We eventually had to flag someone down just so he could place an order. After that, our server mentioned that Tuesdays were buy one, get one free on wine. I ordered my second glass, but it never arrived. When I asked another server about it, I was made to feel like I was inconveniencing them. The irony is that I would have happily paid full price--I wasn't the one asking for a deal. They were the ones who brought up the promotion, then acted bothered when I politely asked about the wine that was never delivered. The final straw was our most recent visit. We were seated at a table by the staff, only to be told a few minutes later that we had to move because the tables were supposedly reserved for the party sitting behind us. We moved without making an issue of it, but no one ever ended up using those tables for the entire time we were there. It was frustrating to be relocated after being seated, especially when the explanation didn't match what actually happened. At this point, it's hard to view these experiences as isolated incidents. The common theme has been inattentive service and an attitude that makes customers feel like they're an inconvenience rather than guests. There are too many great wine bars that genuinely appreciate their customers for me to spend any more time or money here.

There wasn't any special seasoning made by the restaurant or anything. For entrees, we ordered the Paris by night truffle lover bifteak (filet mignon with truffle cheese on sweet potato) which was just okay. We ordered medium rare but the entire thing was a bit chewy and slightly dry. Could taste the truffle on the Parmesan cheese when alone but not when eaten with the sweet potato. The Persian saffron gheymeh lamb ossobuco (lamb shank with stew and dill basmati rice) was delicious though! Lamb was incredibly tender and savory and the spiced split-pea saffron stew went well with the fluffy rice. We'll probably return to try the recommended cod and tiramisu because overall it was pretty good.
