Who would've thought I'd do a wine review after all these years. I'm not really a drinker of wine, beer or any alcohol, and I would've never thought to visit here, but I'm glad I did. This is the cutest little wine bar! Came here on a Friday night with a party of 6. Parking is limited in the area, but not impossible to find. We arrived around 8PM, and while seating was a little difficult, they have open seating so we were able to wait a bit and grab a table. The staff were super accommodating and really friendly, which added to the experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. From the outside, the place looks like a house, and inside, you'll find a small bar with a couple of rooms to sit in. The wines are all reasonably priced- we went with a couple of glasses, and they were all fantastic. They also offer a flight for $21, with your choice of three different wines, which I'm definitely planning to try next time. One thing that really stood out to me was the music-- 2000's R&B and throwbacks all night long. It made for such a fun vibe. Cannot recommend this place enough! Nice little cozy home for some wine and snacks. Be aware though seating may be limited! I think they should add some heat lamps for the outdoor seats to accommodate the cold weather for future references so it makes it cozier for people who cannot find a spot inside. Came here on a Saturday night around 6pm. Parking is extremely challenging in this area, I'd recommend taking an Uber vs. driving yourself. The space is super cute, cozy, and romantic vibes. The people at the bar area were extremely welcoming and friendly. It's all open seating so it's first come first serve. We were able to find seating in a private room in the back. They also have a patio area in the front of the business as well that was open and empty (it was chilly outside). They have a great wine selection and I felt the pricing was fair. $23/tasting and around $13-$20 for a glass of wine. They also do bottles. The charcuterie board pictures was the "everything board" which was HUGE and very rich. It took us almost 1.5 hours to eat the whole thing between sipping our wine and talking. Wanted to try this spot for a while and it did not disappoint. Parking can be tough but I went on a Tues around 4:30 and there were plenty of metered spots. It's also walking distance to San Pedro Square. The place is exactly as named, an adorable small house well decorated for the holidays. It's super cozy. They had a great happy hour selection and I had a viognier, a pinot and, my favorite, the Cabernet (cannot remember the exact names but all were great). In addition we got the Apple Brie and sundried tomato crusties which were delicious! Staff was also friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. My friend and I were in the downtown area on Saturday night and gave them a rang to see if they took reservations. They only accept walk ins and luckily they had a few tables open inside. It's located in little Italy in one of the small historic houses. It's adorable! The owners did a wonderful job at setting the tone for a modern and cozy wine bar. They also have a few tables outside, one fire pit to sit around, and a small bar area indoors. Parking was a little bit of challenge because it is on a small street with only street parking. You might have to do some walking. You check their menu by QR code. For food they serve savory and sweet toasts, charcuterie boards, and flat breads. We went with the 2 cheese charcuterie board (Gouda and Brie). It was beautifully presented and we feel it was a good amount of cheese for the price! I reached out to the establishment to ask about reservations, but I found that seating was first come, first serve. Besides Paesano and Henry's Hi-Life, I felt that there really wasn't much going on in the area since the shutdown, so I'm glad that there are more places popping up. Aside from the fact that the Little Wine House is a house converted to a restaurant like all the other establishments in Little Italy, I appreciated how the place really felt like a home. You could see pictures of one of the owner's family up on the walls and shelves, for example, which I thought was a sweet touch. There were several parties when we arrived, so we couldn't find a table available for a party of 3 or more in the main room. However, we lucked out and got an entire room to ourselves! It was a hidden gem behind the wine bar across from the bathroom. We ordered a few sharable items off the menu, including the burrata pesto tomato dish, veggie flatbread, 2x cheese board, and the veggie polenta lasagna. Everything tasted fantastic. So flavorful with fresh ingredients. I particularly loved the veggie flatbread, which I highly recommend that y'all to try. The drink menu was solid as well. Overall customer service was excellent. Food came out in a timely manner, and everything was well made. We found out that our server was also one of the owners, and she was amazing. Attentive, personable, and hospitable. This is a great little wine bar. First time here for us. We made it just in time for the last few minutes of happy hour. They had a small discount on their featured wine and some of their appetizers, just for the happy hour. The wine bar wasn't terribly crowded so we were able to get a nice table. The wine selections were quite nice, as were the appetizers. We had what they called "crusties" (but were essentially crostinis) and the flatbread. The crusties we selected were the Brie and Apple (brie, fuji apple, honey drizzle and cashews, Goat Cheese and Prosciutto which included fig jam. Both of these were fantastic. Then we had the Blistered Tomato Crustie with whipped ricotta, blistered cherry tomatoes, calabrian hot honey drizzle, and parsley which was very good but a bit messy to eat. We also tried the Artichoke crustie with marinated artichokes, mascarpone and chives. This was good, but heavy on the vinegar flavor from the marinated chokes. The flatbread we tried was fantastic - Hot Honey Pepperoni Flatbread with cheese, marinara, pepperoni, garlic and drizzled calabrian hot honey. All of these apps went well with the wines we tried.
