I had such a great experience with 20twenty Cheese Bar, both because of the atmosphere and the incredible kindness of the staff. First, the food, wine, and music were excellent. It's such a cozy spot to hang out, and the vibe was perfect for a relaxed evening. The meatballs were especially delicious -- definitely recommend ordering them. What really stood out, though, was the service after my visit. I accidentally left my backpack there on Saturday and didn't realize until later. Even though they're closed on Sundays and Mondays, Tina went above and beyond to help me get it back. She responded to my email on Sunday and coordinated everything so I could retrieve my belongings. That level of care and responsiveness is rare and meant so much to me. I'm incredibly grateful and will absolutely be back. Great food, great wine, great music, and truly wonderful people. read more

I stopped by with a few of my girlfriends around 5:30-6:00 PM. Unfortunately, our experience started off very poorly. The gentleman serving us, who was wearing a black Mexico jersey, took our table but then disappeared for an extended period of time and never checked back on us. He seemed disoriented and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. His behavior and demeanor made us uncomfortable and left us feeling neglected as customers. After waiting quite a while, I had to get up and ask another employee for assistance. I believe her name was Michelle. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and helpful, and she did her best to turn the experience around. Her customer service was excellent and was the only positive part of our visit. That said, the service at the beginning was completely unacceptable. Management should address situations like this, as customers should not have to wonder whether employees are drinking while on the job. read more

We really liked this restaurant -- the food and the wine were excellent and the overall ambiance was great. Unfortunately, the service left us a bit disappointed. When I asked to taste two wines before ordering, our server Anthony commented that we "should have ordered a flight." If that's the policy, that's completely fine, but the comment felt unnecessary -- it would have been better to simply explain the policy or politely decline. When the bill arrived, he had already selected a 20% tip on the payment device, which felt odd since tipping should be the customer's choice. When we adjusted it to 15%, he told us that he had been nice to us all night and that we had been rude to him, which was uncomfortable and surprising. It's a shame because the food and wine were genuinely great, but the service experience took away from an otherwise enjoyable evening. Super YUM! The Burrata & Strawberry Starter: will start that this come with tiny toasts BUT they aren't needed in my opinion! Burrata, crushed toasted pistachios, mixed greens and a pesto. Every bite is balanced and delicious. Wish I could have had more pistachios BUT that's just a personal LOVE. Lastly the raviolis...Amore Raviolis: homemade heart shaped raviolis. They were even red in color for the occasion. The filling cheese, but thick and velvety at the same time. Then covered in a roasted red pepper sauce. The food is getting SO SO Good. IMHO I came here specifically to have lunch now that Chef David, former chef/owner of Siena Bistro was sharing space with 20Twenty. Brilliant idea! My friend and I both ordered the Mozzarella French Dip sandwich which came with a Caesar salad, $22. It was the perfect portion for us both. Almost all the tables here are high tops with tall bar chairs, which was a tad challenging for this short girl! They were comfy though. The single shared bathroom is clean and modern. The snacks are decent (although we could not get any on our last visit) and the have a variety of wines and beers, as well as plenty of non-alcoholic options, however, the reason I took a few stars away is due to the bartender being very rude. When we arrived, they informed us that last call had already happened (even though we got there an hour before closing). After explaining that both the website and door indicates they close later, the staff informed us that "well we can close when we want but they could offer us one drink only." It's a bummer because I live close to here and would have loved to feel comfortable about going there more often but after this last experience, I know of other wine bars that offer the same variety or drinks and snacks but have way better service. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, he insisted I pack up my laptop and move my things, even though others were seated and working without issue. It feels like I'm being singled out, and I find his attitude unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming. This is a pretty small but cute bar. I came on a Wednesday evening and it was about 80% full. The bartender was great and very attentive. We were told they don't do happy hour there anymore though. We ordered the espresso affair and a rose and a caprese salad. Everything was super delicious! The caprese salad was very fresh and flavorful. The rose was a good pour, and the espresso affair aka espresso martini was tasty. The bartender came by at good intervals to check on us and clear our table or get us more water or drinks. Also just note the music is great but it's really loud so having conversations are quite difficult We also got the artichoke dip which came with chips. The dip was quite cream cheesy as expected which isn't my fav but friends liked it. We got the truffle grilled cheese and it was delicious, favorite of the night! It also came with some black pepper chips. We got the burrata which was delicious but they gave us like 8 thin baguette slivers when there is so much more cheese and delicious tomatoes, oil, and vinegar. The sauce was delicious so that was disappointing that the ratio of stuff to bread was so off and they charge you for more bread. We ordered more chips to eat the rest of the burrata but they brought the flavored ones which was weird since we had pointed to the burrata. Fun experience but I wouldn't recommend it first. My husband and I came on a Friday evening for date night. We walked in and stood there for a bit waiting for a staff member to tell us to choose a table or seat us themselves. Nobody greeted us so we sat ourselves, I think that's what we were supposed to do. We each ordered a drink and shared the 3 chefs choice cheese board. Drinks were good. The cheese board on the other hand was just okay. I was surprised that it came out so quickly and as I started eating I realized everything was very cold. It's clear that they prep entire trays in advance and store them in the fridge until someone orders. I would obviously expect the cheeses and meats to be refrigerated but the honey was hard, banana chips were stale, and dried fruits were also hard. The fact that everything was cold and prepped who knows how long ago just made it seem very minimal effort, and not worth over $40. The cheeses were really good and my husband enjoyed the salami. Pickled cucumbers were also nice and crunchy. Service was also not the greatest. She checked on the table next to us regularly and just ignored us until we asked for the check. A good place for drinks with friendly service, but their menu is a bit off-putting. The selection is elevated nice bar food, but the pricing is comparable to cheesecake factory, for example, with much more modest portions (a caprese panini is $23!). And the small cheeseboard starts at $40 and goes up from there - so we always opt to head to The Table for craft drinks and food that matches the environment/service/price better (charcuterie board by comparison is $26) when we live so close to 20Twenty. Lamella Tavern as well has a menu that is better in value as well, while still offering craft drinks and quality wine and beer. Most folks seems to just get popcorn ($14) and german pretzels ($12/$22!), with larger groups willing to order more to nibble/split the bill. So nice place for some drinks, but I'd eat beforehand and just nibble here if you're used to eating while you drink. read more

I can understand the frustration of staff and we got a less than friendly greeting. We decided to stay for our first and last drink for last call since it was a rare night of free babysitting. It was a warm day and our wine was almost hot. We said something and were treated like we were dumb and were offered ice. The ambiance feels generic and lacks personality. There were only two ladies working and the place was packed but they were able to still manage the crowd and you weren't left feeling forgotten. The food was really good and you get a lot, so much that we didn't need dinner after having the charcuterie board they prepared and we also had the pretzel knots which were delicious with the mustard sauce.
