I've been to a couple Little Woodrow's locations, but this one caught my eye because it was the only one with a small bowling alley. Disappointingly, they got rid of it. I guess it's for the best since it was usually broken and closed off. There's plenty of parking and it's nice that the road construction around it is over. There's also covered seating when you walk in, and inside, a long bar with seating and purse hooks and bar top high tables. I believe there might be some booth seating on one side, but I didn't sit in that area. The female restrooms have 3 stalls and is semi clean. Bar tender was nice on a Sunday afternoon. She looked young. It was a nice place to catch the Astros game and wasn't busy. We played pool and this one hunting game. Would've played darts, too, but we didn't get to it. There's a QR code for their drink menu. Wish they had some sour options. The shots like green tea and Mexican candy were made well. We tried their sirloin sliders with fries, and that was good. The fries are a little too salty for skinny cut fries though. If you like salt, you'll love it. We saw a cute dog with its owner, so I guess small dogs are allowed inside. Wow, just came in here with a friend to watch the Stanley cup playoffs and the Astros game, but they are insist on playing love island on volume level ten. Ask the waitress to change the volume at least, she said she was instructed by the GM and Reg Manager that she had to keep love island on at this volume. Prior to coming here, I had already visited another establishment for HH, so I can't necessarily speak to food or drinks, however, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Most importantly, there are four pool tables that are only a dollar (in coins) per game #whatAwin. They also have an area to shoot hoops, which is pretty cool. We visited your place, and were impressed with the staff and overall atmosphere of the bar. However, we noticed a lot of damage to the games, especially with your shuffleboard table. If you do not have security on the premises or do not periodically check on your equipment (pool, darts, basketball, etc.), it is just going to get worse. It is not worth repairing anything if people are going to continue to destroy the furniture. Maybe your camera footage will show you who is responsible for the damage, and as such, someone should have a talk with them. Most places get very crazy on the weekends, so you might want to have security if it continues. Overall, everyone had a decent time, but were just disappointed that the games were not maintained as well as they could be. Also, are you thinking about adding more items to your menu? We were hoping for a little more variety. Your other locations offer a larger selection. One of the ladies that was with us had never played shuffleboard before, and wanted to learn, but since the table conditions were horrible and she didn't know how much sand was needed, along with the fact that we tried to help distribute the sand evenly for her, which unfortunately still did not work, as much as she liked the game, we were not able to get the table in a playable condition for her. Your golf simulator was in excellent condition, however, so that was definitely a plus (maybe because it is in the front near the bar, and is in a more visible area). Just a suggestion: you might want to have more signs stating not to place food or drinks on the tables (sports equipment), along with no smoking in those areas. We went in on a Thursday afternoon, so it wasn't busy. We went in for cheap beer and a good time, and that's what we got! Their draft pints were only $3, and bowling was $5/person per half hour. The duck pin bowling did seem to mess up quite a bit, but the bartender was friendly and willing to help every time. It has duck pin bowling, a few arcade games, and a golf simulator. You could easily spend hours in here! The only complaint was that the food isn't great. We got wings, cheeseburger egg rolls, and a chicken quesadilla. Over the last few years I've gone here to watch Eagles games that I can't get at home. Went weekend before last to see a game and found out it's under new ownership and no longer the Official Eagles bar in Houston and have switched to being a Texans bar. Things change and I can accept that, but this is a good example of, "If it aint broke, don't fix it." Bar was nearly empty at game time, with only myself, another Eagles couple who weren't aware of the change either, and maybe 6 other customers. In past years, the bar was packed with standing room only for Eagles games. I will say, my waitress at Woodrows was very nice and attentive, but the other couple and myself went to the new Eagles Nest bar, Patterson Park just across I-10, and it was packed with what I'm guessing was 200-300 people. I wasn't there for long. Went there to bowl and upon arrival we were told the bowling lanes were down. Bummer. So if you plan on going there to bowl, don't. The lanes are down and according to one of the waitresses they've been down for a few weeks now. Road construction in front of the location has been going on for forever and is a bit of a hassle depending on the direction you're coming from. Once you get past the construction, they having a parking lot so the parking's quick and easy. Friendly and helpful staff despite not buying a thing. Not too large of a crowd. This place sucks. It was really cool but this was my first time back since they renovated and it's gone totally down hill. I was a frequent regular of this bar and it would be one of my top choices to go to in the area but not anymore. Came here for Monday Night Football. A plus was there are a ton of TVs more so than before. The sound was on too which was great. What I'm disappointed in was the service. Our server was frequently no where to be found. She wasn't friendly, was short with my table. At one point, she asked "y'all gonna order anything else because we're running out of stuff". Really?? I had an amazing time at Little Woodrows. Come to find out that the Shepherd location is actually an Eagles nest (for all my football fans). I went for the first time a few days ago and had a blast during the game. They had your typical bar food it's very reasonably priced and the environment is friendly. They have huge TVs plastered over all the walls so you get a primetime view from anywhere in the bar. My server was a sweetheart and so was the bartender. I really don't have anything bad to say about any of the Little Woodrow's locations. They all have their own pros and cons, but this one is by far my favorite one. It is easy to get to, parking isn't too horrible, and the staff is always super friendly. It is very spacious inside with a lot of TVs for your sporting events. The patio is significantly smaller than most of their other locations. There are plenty of drink options and specials daily. The food is really good for bar food especially the pizza. Where do I start! We have been going to this bar for about 6 years now and seen good changes and bad. But we finally got to go back after Covid and let me tell you, this place was immaculate. We like to go when we can! We would have a lot of date nights here when my husband and I met Lol so it holds sentimental value but back to the review.... First of, they updated a lot of areas. They have a bowling alley now, DJ area, a few games and the cutest outdoor seating with swings (personal favorite) It looks more modern and fresh! Upon entry, an employee (nice gentleman! Who explained new procedures so well and was super attentive and kind) will check your ID, make sure you have a mask on and does a temperature check. The employee also made sure to let us know we must wear our mask if not at the table (common practice) A server or the bartender will point you to the tables available. If you want to sit at the bar; there are tables against it and also separated 6 feet apart, with 3 chairs at each spot. Everything is social distanced and all the staff has a mask on at all times. One of the best things about this place was as soon as someone left they cleaned and sanitized the area immediately!! Tables, common areas, doors, all constantly being cleaned and sanitized. We went to grab a few drinks on a Sunday night- service was great and you get chicharrónes or fries with your drink order. I'm assuming it's bc they're operating as a "bar and grill" so it may mean the customers must have food. Great beer/drink menu and food as well. Out of all the places we have been to since Covid started, this has been the best. They do close at midnight, so plan accordingly. The flavor of this crawfish is UNMET. We stopped by today for 5lbs/$35 and what a great experience!! The crawfish from Shells & Tails, hands down, is worth your time and then some. We came here for crawfish. This is early in the day and There wasn't a crowd. It took nearly an hour to get the crawfish. A truck pulled up with additional crawfish so my guess is that they had ran out. Which is fine. That just needs to be communicated so we can make an informed decision. I then went to check on the Order 50 minutes into waiting and the guy over the crawfish was there with the manager on duty and I politely explained to him the situation in which was all polite at first. The manager then goes inside and returns back to tell me that she pulled my ticket and my order was placed about 30 minutes ago. You don't order the crawfish from the inside. You pay outside through cashapp. So her providing that information was completely irrelevant. I pulled up the cash app transaction to again prove my point and she just changed the subject. Completely unprofessional and shows an extreme lack of ability. Didn't even understand the operations. If she wanted to intervene and try to get an understanding then I would have completely understood but she instantly went to call me a liar. We were the only black people in the establishment so maybe that's why she was quick to call me a liar without doing her due diligence. I notified the waiter of the situation and she said that yeah you all ordered your crawfish way before you placed your order inside. I would say that there are lots of places better than Little Woodrow's on Shepherd. Some of the other Little Woodrow's are better. It's hard to get attention here it seems like they don't have enough people working here. Go up to the bar and order so you don't have to wait and have them delivered to your table. Came here for trivia night an had a good time. The severs were friendly and attentive and the space was large so you never felt claustrophobic. The parking situation was surprisingly easy, but this was a Tuesday night.
