i've been to Ducky's Pizza & Tavern so many times with friends, and it's always a solid go-to. it has that relaxed, slightly industry-heavy montrose vibe that just makes it easy to hang out and stay awhile. alex is a great server! super friendly, attentive, and always makes the experience better. food-wise, the montrose pizza & asian wings are easily the best thing on the menu. i literally have to order them every time. their specialty pizzas are also really good, with a lot of fun options that don't feel basic. i like coming here when i want a different vibe from Ducky McSweeney's! it's a little more laid-back but still has great energy. their cocktails are always on point, but if i'm not in the mood for that, i'll usually go for a sauvignon blanc. overall, it's just one of those reliable spots you can count on for good food, good drinks, and a chill atmosphere with friends. read more

Ducky's is good because they try really hard to cultivate a fun experience for their customers. It doesn't quite reach 4 stars for me but they're close. The pizza was not mind blowing but the service, ambiance, and effort put into menu items, decorations, and special events makes this place enjoyable. I would not try the Al Pastor Pizza again and the pepperoni was slightly undercooked to what I enjoy. (I prefer less flop and more crunch) but I would go back and maybe tell the waitress that preference. They also added patio seating that looks fun once it cools down outside! read more

We got here at 8:00 and got put on the list. They said it'd be a 15 minute wait to sit on the patio. We waited almost 30 minutes, never got a call or text that our table was ready. At 8:35 we went up to the hostess stand to see if a table was ready and they said "20 more minutes" They never called or texted us that the wait would be longer. It's 9:56pm currently and NO RESPONSE STILL. We came to a COMPLETELY different restaurant, had cocktails, and ATE FOOD already and are leaving before our table at your establishment is ready. Came here for a mother/daughter date and I must say I was highly impressed. The restaurant has a great patio with games that will keep your little one entertained. The service was great and all servers are attentive. My daughter dropped her fork and a new one was brought over immediately. Food and drinks come out quickly. I ordered truffle fries (10/10), butter noodles for my daughter, montrose pizza and customized half of the pizza to a meat lovers (10/10). Came the other day during the Korea v Mexico match and it was such a fun atmosphere! It's not the biggest place but they have lots of smaller tables for 4ish ppl. It was crowded but we were able to get a table immediately. Our server was super sweet and attentive. She came and checked on us throughout and was very helpful. They also seem all super fun and it was such a nice space. We got the buffalo ranch cauliflower and the Montrose pizza. I think the cauliflower was okay, personally wouldn't get again cause I wish there was a little more sauce but not bad! The Montrose was so good and I think it's a good crust thickness, as someone who prefers thin crust. They had a really nice crunch on the bottom. Ever walk into a place and instantly know you'll be going back again? Yup one of those nights. The waitress was one of the nicest I've had in a long time. Very attentive with even our waters. Started off with the bacon spinach drip. Hefty portion which was great for the price. Then we did the mixed green salad which had the perfect amount of dressing. They even split it for us into separate bowls. They offer to do a half size pizza for half the cost so we decided to try two. The vodka sauce was so good. The montrose with all the toppings also was great. We may have ordered a bit too much for the two of us but it was so delicious that there was barely anything left. The chill vibes were inviting to families or date night. We were too full to try dessert but everything else was great. We came here as a group and had such a great time! As soon as we walked in, I loved the vibe and decor. We had a section for our group and it was a combination of couches and tables. Ducky's is soooo cute! Love the retro feel and you're greeted by a cozy atmosphere the second you walk in. There are a couple sections that have couches and TVs and even some bar seating - seems like it would be a good spot to come watch a game. We ordered the crab rangoon cheesy bread to start and it's an absolute MUST order, so unique and delicious. For our mains I got the meatlovers pizza and my friend got the duck egg carbonara. Everything was good but they brought our food out in a really strange order: carbonara first, then pizza, and then finally followed by the cheesy bread. My friend had to awkwardly decide whether to wait until I had something to eat or go ahead and eat her main dish. Staff was all very friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. We'll definitely be back as food was tasty and I think they're probably just working through some of the timing as they're new! read more

Everyday I walk the neighborhood and I watched Ducky's come to life. I even saw the window painter hand draw the Peanuts characters on the window. Can't wait to see other seasonal holiday art. The service is great. Staff checks on you and get you everything you need. I opted for patio seating since I walked over with my dog. Bacon Spinach Dip - the chips were crunch. had a bite. doesn't break when you scoop. the spinach dip was surprisingly delicious. Had to ask for extra chips cause no dip goes to waste. Hot Honey Pepperoni - the pepperoni had crispy and cruncy edges and cupped a good amount of grease. It's not too floppy and not too crunchy. Pizza had a great structure. If you fold, you fold. If you just hold it, it stays and keeps it's shape. Great pizza. Can't go wrong with a classic hot honey taste either. Perfect pairing. Carrot Cake - This literally tasted like fall. caramel drizzle on top had this caramel apple taste to it that just made it even better Key Lime Pie - it almost had a cheesed cake consistency that I love. a lil thicker than usual but loved it nonetheless. Sorry to be a downer on this one. To preface, maybe they're still new and want to make an impression on the service but the hovering is just too much!! We went in on a weekday around 5 and not 1, not 2, but 3 staff members asked for our drink order all within a matter of couple of minutes, one on top of another. It's not like they couldn't see we've been greeted and given menus already and we're taking our time to look over the menus. So that made it kinda awkward and stressful for me. We finally decided on some apps (wings) and beers and they did came quickly, and wings were good and fresh (5 wings for $13). Pizza came, and I did see the kitchen staff tossing the dough so I knew everything was freshly made, and I have to say it was average at best (your mileage may vary) and I really was sorely disappointed bc I was hoping this could become our neighborhood "Cheers" kind of hangout. A few days later I had takeout pizza from Pizaro's and no contest even when the Pizaro was takeout and ducky's was fine-in, Pizaro's won by far (again your mileage may vary as pizza is such a personal thing). Very chill neighborhood spot with decent food and drinks. Our server, don't remember his name, was very attentive and kind even though it was very slow at the time. I appreciate this even more since service tends to lack at many places when there's not many guests present. Wings are great and prices are decent. Pizza crust could use some work. Great reviews but damn my wait time for food was long , it was not busy at all when I arrived ordered wings and pizza the wings came out first about 10 minutes but the pizza took about 30 min not sure why . Once I finally got my food the table next to me got there pizza faster than I got mine I don't know if maybe cuz I was alone and they came in being a group of 4 but I observed the time . Overall my pizza was great very fresh I got the hot honey pepperoni all its missing is some jalapeños . The wings were good I tried the Tequila pineapple definitely different they have no spice if you want them spicy get another flavor . Pizza had a lot of hot honey and very well made to me like I said it's just missing some jalapeños. Overall food great ambiance great cool vibe but my personal wait experience terrible for my pizza. Meet several friends at Ducky's just after Happy hour and still had a good time. Beer was nice and cold. Had the fried mozzarella that was very nice. Their signature pizza was a hot honey with pepperoni. It tasted great. The crust was crisp and was devoured. The staff is professional and friendly which is no surprise since it is a community establishment. Ducky's can be very loud with their audio system turned up. Very disappointed. We enjoy coming to this establishment because of the food, how late they are open, and location since we recently purchased a home down the street. Go here at least once a week with the family and are easy to take care of, as we usually order the same thing every time and have worked in the industry so can understand how stressful it can be, but came in tonight on a Saturday at midnight and they turned us away saying they were closing early. read more

We made a reservation for five to watch a World Cup game, we called in advance and asked if they would be playing the game in all TV's because we we're not sure about the table we would have, they said YES, the manager, Alfredo, even called us back to confirm the reservation, guess what?? They did not play the game in all TV's. The table we had we could not watch the FOOTBALL game but baseball game instead and they didn't change the channel and the only TV they were "showing" he game stopped working, we think they did on purpose because we got home, a block away from them, and we had no problem with the channel or internet at all. Don't get me wrong, food is great! We've been a couple of times during weekends after a hospital shift as walk ins. This time around we walked in per usual and suddenly asked if we had reservations. I was told by staff that we could not be seated as they only took reservations. I asked when the policy changed (out of curiosity) as we never had an issue prior to, the response "it's always been this way" which was false. Ditch that idea and make more tables available that aren't high tops or couches. Also, we got the honey pepperoni pizza. Nothing "amazing". Some slices only had 2.5 or 3 on. Ok price at $18.
