I'm a big fan of Duckys in the Galleria area, so I wanted to come and check out the new Duckys on Fairview and I have to say I had a great time with friends. My server Laurel E was very lovely. She was very sweet to us. She recommended amazing things and we had great service. I highly recommend this Duckys as well. The food was very good. I will definitely be coming back to it. I can't wait to try the pasta and other things. The Ambiance was really fun and happy.

Lately I've been frequenting this spot for lunch and happy hour when in the area. There's a lot to like about this location. To start, there is a parking lot in the back, which makes it very convenient. The interior is laid out well, with the bar area to the right of the entry and dining to the left. The bar area has a few TVs, which is fantastic when trying to catch a game. Food & Drink - 3.5* There are daily specials, happy hour, lunch, and regular menus. I highly recommend the crab Rangoon cheesy bread for starters, and if you're not all that hungry, it can be made into a full meal. The happy hour menu is a little limiting, but there's enough to like. The pasta is fantastic and comes in a nice small cup portion. They offer a personal 6" cheese pizza that is quite good. Other options are Buffalo cauliflower, meatballs, teenie weenie mcshweenies (mini corn dogs), and a Caesar salad. At the time of this review, these were $5 each and smaller since it's happy hour. The HH drink options are wine by the glass, 22 oz St. Arnold Lawnmowers, an Aperol Spritz, and basically a margarita called the Quack-a-Lack. I don't recommend the margarita. It's not good--too much lime juice, not enough Cointreau, and what tasted like barely any tequila. For lunch, they have a pick two. Options are the Chicken, Italian Chopped, or Fig & Pig sandwiches, but the pizza offering is very odd and out of place. It's their hot honey and pepperoni, which is great, but it's only six inches. More on this later. For the other pick, options are a Caesar salad, garden salad, potato chips, and zuppa del giorno (soup of the day). I recommend the Caesar or the soup. The Montrose and Hot Honey / Pepperoni pizzas are also great options. They recently revamped their menu, and it's unfortunate to see certain options cut. They used to have a buffalo chicken pizza that I found quite good; it is no longer there. I won't go through everything that was cut, but if you've visited regularly, there is a good chance something you ordered is no longer an option. Overall, I find all of the food above average, but nothing is gonna have you thinking, "This is amazing." It is a great, convenient spot for the area that delivers a low-key vibe. Service - 4* The service has always been pretty good. They check in frequently, ask if you want to put anything else in, and know enough about the menu to make good recommendations. The one thing that strikes me a little off is that they seem quite transactional, which I get to an extent--they see dozens of folks a day. However, when someone frequents a place over a short period, that person typically gets recognized and there's a little more small talk with staff. Again, that's just my experience working in the industry; you do want to build a following and customer base. I did not notice that aside from one lady who must come here every day and orders a glass of wine at happy hour, since she was asked, "The usual?" If there were one word to describe the staff I interacted with, it would be "aloof." Pricing / Cost - 3.5* Always subjective, but here's where things just don't make sense, particularly with the lunch menu. They offer a pick two for $18. The regular price for a full-size hot honey and pepperoni pizza is $18, the Fig & Pig sandwich is $17, the chicken sandwich is $17, and the Italian Chopped is $16. So one would think, okay, I'm getting a small salad or soup as the discount. That would align if the pizza were bigger, but on the lunch menu it's a six-inch pizza. May I point out that during happy hour, the six-inch cheese pizza is $5? So somehow, some honey and pepperonis are worth a whole lot more? The regular menu pricing is about in line with what one would expect for apps, entrees, and drinks. I'll close this bit out by stating I have worked in this industry, and I understand that balancing thin margins while getting people in and building recurring customers is harder than ever, especially with rising costs across the board. Landlords want more, ingredients cost more, and retaining reliable labor that can show up and show out to help build the business is a challenge. All that said, they probably need to reevaluate a few things, and that seems to be the case since they just revamped the menu. It would appear they are still figuring it out a little bit. My recommendation: the pizza option on the lunch menu is a poor value. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone; just order a full pizza. Overall - 3.5* There's a lot to like about this spot, while there are areas that need some work. I love the vibe, the convenience of getting in and out, and some of the lunch options. I would recommend it in the evening to grab a pizza or full-size pasta, but I'd likely say skip the happy hour and go elsewhere if you're mainly looking to get some drinks. If you want a small taste of a few great items from the regular menu before making a full deep dive, it's worth a stop.

Ducky's Pizza is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots in Houston. The pizza is phenomenal--perfectly crisp crust, quality ingredients, and incredible flavor in every bite. Don't miss the crab ragoon bread--it's rich, unique, and an absolute standout. The space is clean and modern with a lively sports bar vibe, plenty of TVs, and a well-stocked bar. Service was outstanding--friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. For a newer spot, Ducky's is already setting a high bar. Great pizza, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere make this an easy five-star recommendation. I'll definitely be back.

Ducky's is good because they try really hard to cultivate a fun experience for their customers. It doesn't quite reach 4 stars for me but they're close. The pizza was not mind blowing but the service, ambiance, and effort put into menu items, decorations, and special events makes this place enjoyable. I would not try the Al Pastor Pizza again and the pepperoni was slightly undercooked to what I enjoy. (I prefer less flop and more crunch) but I would go back and maybe tell the waitress that preference. They also added patio seating that looks fun once it cools down outside!

Came here for a mother/daughter date and I must say I was highly impressed. The restaurant has a great patio with games that will keep your little one entertained. The service was great and all servers are attentive. My daughter dropped her fork and a new one was brought over immediately. Food and drinks come out quickly. I ordered truffle fries (10/10), butter noodles for my daughter, montrose pizza and customized half of the pizza to a meat lovers (10/10). I can't remember the name of my cocktail but it was delicious as well. And extra star for them having a parking lot with ample parking!

Came the other day during the Korea v Mexico match and it was such a fun atmosphere! It's not the biggest place but they have lots of smaller tables for 4ish ppl. It was crowded but we were able to get a table immediately. Our server was super sweet and attentive. She came and checked on us throughout and was very helpful. They also seem all super fun and it was such a nice space. We got the buffalo ranch cauliflower and the Montrose pizza. I think the cauliflower was okay, personally wouldn't get again cause I wish there was a little more sauce but not bad! The Montrose was so good and I think it's a good crust thickness, as someone who prefers thin crust. They had a really nice crunch on the bottom. The combo was so good and I would def go back to try some other pizzas!

Open late, fresh delicious bites plenty of parking, friendly service, clean bathroom and can I tell you about the pizza. Served crispy, plenty of tasty toppings and extremely efficient, professional and friendly! DANI was our server and was lovely. I will definitely return. Great ambience, lighting, and that meat lovers was totally amazing. I think the next time I will order it with extra sauce I highly recommend will return.

We came here as a group and had such a great time! As soon as we walked in, I loved the vibe and decor. We had a section for our group and it was a combination of couches and tables. We tried a couple of their pizzas and they were all good! The bar had plenty of options and all of the staff was so nice! They do have free parking which is so convenient! I will definitely be back!

Ducky's is soooo cute! Love the retro feel and you're greeted by a cozy atmosphere the second you walk in. There are a couple sections that have couches and TVs and even some bar seating - seems like it would be a good spot to come watch a game. We ordered the crab rangoon cheesy bread to start and it's an absolute MUST order, so unique and delicious. For our mains I got the meatlovers pizza and my friend got the duck egg carbonara. Everything was good but they brought our food out in a really strange order: carbonara first, then pizza, and then finally followed by the cheesy bread. My friend had to awkwardly decide whether to wait until I had something to eat or go ahead and eat her main dish. Staff was all very friendly and checked on us throughout our meal. We'll definitely be back as food was tasty and I think they're probably just working through some of the timing as they're new!

Everyday I walk the neighborhood and I watched Ducky's come to life. I even saw the window painter hand draw the Peanuts characters on the window. Can't wait to see other seasonal holiday art. The service is great. Staff checks on you and get you everything you need. I opted for patio seating since I walked over with my dog. Bacon Spinach Dip - the chips were crunch. had a bite. doesn't break when you scoop. the spinach dip was surprisingly delicious. Had to ask for extra chips cause no dip goes to waste. Hot Honey Pepperoni - the pepperoni had crispy and cruncy edges and cupped a good amount of grease. It's not too floppy and not too crunchy. Pizza had a great structure. If you fold, you fold. If you just hold it, it stays and keeps it's shape. Great pizza. Can't go wrong with a classic hot honey taste either. Perfect pairing. Carrot Cake - This literally tasted like fall. caramel drizzle on top had this caramel apple taste to it that just made it even better Key Lime Pie - it almost had a cheesed cake consistency that I love. a lil thicker than usual but loved it nonetheless. I'm looking forward to coming back to try other items. Neighborhood pizza tavern that's kid friendly, dog friendly (tables outside) with great food and service.

Sorry to be a downer on this one. To preface, maybe they're still new and want to make an impression on the service but the hovering is just too much!! We went in on a weekday around 5 and not 1, not 2, but 3 staff members asked for our drink order all within a matter of couple of minutes, one on top of another. It's not like they couldn't see we've been greeted and given menus already and we're taking our time to look over the menus. So that made it kinda awkward and stressful for me. We finally decided on some apps (wings) and beers and they did came quickly, and wings were good and fresh (5 wings for $13). Pizza came, and I did see the kitchen staff tossing the dough so I knew everything was freshly made, and I have to say it was average at best (your mileage may vary) and I really was sorely disappointed bc I was hoping this could become our neighborhood "Cheers" kind of hangout. A few days later I had takeout pizza from Pizaro's and no contest even when the Pizaro was takeout and ducky's was fine-in, Pizaro's won by far (again your mileage may vary as pizza is such a personal thing). Sadly, Ducky's is not for me.

The crab Rangoon bread is sending me to outer space ! It was so crispy and cheesy and the sauce was so good. The spot was very intimate and cute and I like the bar and chill area with the darts. It was modern and casual. Great job on the vibe and the cheese pizza was quality cheese And the staff was very friendly.

To start out, the concept feels like a blend of accents from other popular bars in the area - the hammock chairs from Axelrad, the Adirondack chairs from Truck Yard, and the string light back patio from 8th Wonder. This blend makes it hard to give the bar a true identity. While they do have a large selection of beers on tap, their cocktail menu leaves me feeling lost. I appreciate the attempt to create unique flavor combinations but the options are just...confusing. For example, mezcal with citrus and prickly pear, or a highball with black currant, tequila and apricot. I'm holding on for dear life with all of these ingredients! Going along for the adventure, I tried their pickle cocktail that was on the menu and it was honestly, terrible. While they do have a happy hour that goes until 8pm, the service this last visit just wasn't the best. The server who helped me told me it was his second day and was clearly struggling to keep up with the cocktail combinations, referencing his phone many times while preparing the drink. I ended up not liking this drink and brought it back to the bar with just one sip gone and rather than offering to make me another drink, they kept it on my bill. Ok, whatever. That being said, just before this happened, the couple in front of me went to pay for their bill, prepared drinks in hand, at 8:02pm and the bartender refused to honor the happy hour prices, just two minutes past the official end time. With these two instances, it seems like the priority is maximizing every dollar of profit rather than investing in the customer experience. Given the number of other original concepts in the area, I would pass.

Despite being quite empty at that time, we had to be on a waitlist system for about 20 min. Maybe people signed up for that time slot, unclear ? The tables do move. We were originally assigned right under the TVs, which defeated our purpose of watching the game. We moved our table back, enough to not pinch our neck. It's a great location for game watching. TVs are set all throughout the bar. Bonus if there are two or more sport events. That evening, we could watch a WC game and a UFC fight at the same time. What surprised me was the quality of the food. The wings were excellent, the burger came out quickly as well. The fries could be crispier. The tots were good. Wish they offered sweet potato fries. Overall pricing is a bit on the higher side. So watch your alcohol consumption, lol! Now, it is downtown so parking isn't the best. Use a rideshare. I can be convinced to go back for their wings.
