The piercing experience was lovely! Super quick and clean. The piercer took her time and had many piercings herself, so we trusted her. I was not sorry for that, as she did a great job, making sure my BF was comfortable. She explained the aftercare process well, and in the provided my BF with even earrings and a smooth experience. I unfortunately can't remember the name of the girl working there at the time, but she was super chill and helpful. I remember her from a previous visit where she was just as nice, making small talk and generally being just a good person! It's typical of mall workers to look/be miserable - which I absolutely get, retail can be terrible and most of them are high schoolers - so she was a refreshing, kind presence. All that I can remember was that she was wearing a mask that says "F*CK COVID", lol. Anyways! To me Icing is a bit overpriced, but they do have a great selection. They always have deals going on though, and they have precious metal earrings and rings. Super important for jewelry that lasts. Ordered curbside pick up and off we go! Got the notice that order was ready so I headed up that way as soon as they opened at 10am. Curbside pickup so I was directed to park in the designated zone. Got to the store - NO designated zone. Tried to call for curbside but the store wasn't doing it at that time (so why have the choice?). Got inside and I saw why. Only one person working. 4 people in front of me... all with issues, questions, etc. I ended up waiting 1 hour just to pick up a phone. I did feel bad for Ryan, the tech working. He said someone had called in sick. Ryan, however, kept a smile and juggled people very well. Just wondering why someone wasn't called in to help? I did get a call from Verizon as I did an online survey.. they didn't like the number of "stars" I gave them. They of course, blamed it on COVID and said store was limited employees. I understand... I was patient while I waited my turn. Again, just not understanding why help wasn't called in. Store was clean, but dated. Fairly well stocked with accessories. The CSR and Repair Person, Joe, was phenomenal. While working the store, by himself, he was able to simultaneously fix another customer's phone and work on my own. Unfortunately, my phone was unrepairable. He proactively gave me the contact information for my insurance and suggested that I might want to relook at my plan since I was paying so much. Since, I couldn't go another day without my phone, he then went through all the benefits and drawbacks of the different phones and helped me decide on a new one. All while, servicing other customers as they came in. In the end, Joe had my new phone set up, connected with the backup for my contacts, set up my Office 365 email and showed me specific features of the new device. In addition, he was able to increase my total plan's data and save me money on my monthly bill. Thank you Joe for staying late and finishing my transaction so that my business continued to run seamlessly!
