I went here three times prior to see Diane and had a great experience, she'd even call to let me know if there was a knot that couldn't be tamed and get my approval for shaving. however, the last time I went, Diane wasn't an option and I was going to get a color treatment. This is listed as an hour long procedure and wasn't told otherwise at drop off. So, I decided to get lunch and stay in the area and stopped in after two hours, at that point I was told it'd be 5 hours more. When I asked, I was asked if I understood how hair coloring worked. I was taken aback but understood and went home to wait. when I returned to pick up my baby his head was cut short, I was asked about cutting around his eyes so he could see better, but I was shocked when there was a visible line from his head to the nape of his neck. his fluffy body with tiny head was not what I asked for. when I inquired about this, the owner insulted me, saying it was a cultural thing and I just didn't understand (the girl who did the cut was Korean) she listed asian countries and said I didn't understand. The girl was confused and said she does poodles like this, but I have a bolognese, which is in his profile. Not to mention poodles DO NOT look like this. Mochi usually gets a Korean cut anyways from Diane(short body with tapered legs, fluffy tail, teddy bear head), so I don't think it was a culture thing. After all this, the owner decided to charge me for things I didn't receive like ear dye and a deluxe bath. he got his paws and tailed dyed with a "zoom groom" to wash the dye out. I wouldn't recommend taking a fluffier breed here, they cut however they like and blame the customer when it looks bad, and will over charge you. When I asked why everything was so much, the owner said I wasn't being over charged, but my receipt that was emailed showed otherwise. I had to get my baby shaved to have his body match his head and it took 3 months before his hair began to "fall" like a bolognese is supposed to. read more

Appt took a few hours, for us, that was perfect to get some errands done and they were very nice to babysit until we made it back. Free 20 minute parking in the rear. This is our second visit to Live Love Pet! and I am so thrilled with the services we have received. I was referred by a friend to come here to try the non-anethestic teeth cleaning that they offer one time per month. Unfortunately, my dog was not in to the cleaning and they were unable to perform the procedure safely. This was handled extremely well, with a phone call explaining the issues, etc. I was not charged for this, despite him having one or two teeth cleaned. I was then asked if I would be interested in the bath service for my dog since he was already in the shop. I agreed, as my dog needed his nails trimmed and could use the deep cleaning the vet is able to do. Andrea was the groomer assigned to my dog and she was WONDERFUL. My pup can be a bit nervous and she was patient with him ensuring he was comfortable and calm throughout their time together. He gave her kisses at the end of the appointment which really demonstrated to me how well he had been treated while I was away. Today, fast forward 7 weeks, we went in again and it so happened to be the day that the dental hygienist was in--I got a phone call asking if I would like to try his teeth cleaning again. I agreed and I am so happy I did! Despereaux, my dog, was able to get all of his teeth cleaned and his breath is amazingly fresh. His teeth were so rotten and I was planning to do the full vet cleaning, but this is so costly for a 20 minute procedure. Now I am confident we will return to keep up on this service so as no to allow his teeth to get so bad. I am really thankful for the patience of the hygienist to give him another chance! Andrea was our groomer again today (since we booked directly with her) and once again I am so thrilled with the services we got from her. She was sweet enough to walk me through some tips for dental care and gave me a run down of her time with Despereaux. She was once again so patient and kind. Despereaux looks fantastic, smells great and is not stressed. He came home a happy pup and I know it is because of his treatment by Andrea. She is really one of a kind. We took our dog, Sammie, to see Andrea upon a recommendation from a friend. Sammie is a 6 month old goldendoodle and we wanted to cool her down for August! While we wanted her groomed, we wanted to keep a certain look too - Peter described this to Andrea and she executed this perfectly. Andrea groomed her perfectly, expressed her anals, cleaned her ears, nails and gave her a great bath. Sammie came home looking amazing. What impressed me even more is that Andrea taught me things about caring for this breed of dog that our vet had not. I learned from her that the fur between her toes can lead to hip problems since we have tile and hardwood floors. I also learned that what I thought were red dirt stains from hiking, were actually little yeast infections on her feed from being wet all the time ( we live in Kaneohe). Additionally, she taught me how to express her anals in between visits to make her more comfortable. And suggested a nice brush. All of this, including a new brush, for $102. We felt that we received our value for the money paid and look forward to using Andrea again! read more

I admit I was taking a risk coming to a new place just based on the reviews here on Yelp. I'm so happy that I took the chance because I couldn't be any happier with their service. It was so convenient, fast and easy to set up an appointment on line. I booked on line Saturday night for a Sunday appointment (thinking ok they probably can't take me cause it is a last minute thing). But to my surprise I got an email the next morning confirming my appointment. (Which you get to pick the time that's convenient for you.) I've been taking my pom shitzu mix Precious to Petco this whole time, when all along I could've been here. This place is way cheaper then Petco where I paid about $80 for the same service there. Where here it only cost me about $60 (you get a 10%discount for new customer) and they do a way better job. I also like the fact that you can tell they take pride in their work that I have to say this is the best hair cut she ever had by anyone. What's even better I love that they take their time unlike some places where they just rush so they can take on more jobs. For the first time when picking Precious up she was calm yet happy, where usually at Petco she's trying to run out of there and so hypered. I am the first to admit I have trust issues when it comes to my dog. I don't like anyone handling my dog. But today, Katie at Live love Pet groomed my dog Liko and she did an awesome job! I could tell immediately my dog was comfortable with her. Liko took to Katie immediately and Katie knew exactly how to calm her and gain her trust. I have used this grooming salon 4 times and although all the groomers are good, many specialize in small dogs. Mine is a husky. Medium to large at 70lbs and quite strong. Previous groomers had a difficult time with her because of her size. When I picked up my dog I found out why Katie was the perfect match, she has a large black Lab about the same size as Liko. I am thrilled Live Love Pet matched me up with Katie. For a tiny grooming salon, Live Love Pet delivers big in many ways. Online appointments, email communication, detailed instructions and super friendly staff. I've tried a half dozen other groomers and none compare to Live Love Pet.
