So already major points for responding promptly! My project was installing a ceiling fan on vaulted ceilings. I think I contacted them through their website contact form and got an email response directly me to call them to schedule a time for the estimator Nate. The women at the office were very helpful and able to help me easily. Nate arrived bright and early at 8am. He was very thorough in discussing possible options with me. He even went up into the attic. When I mentioned we recently moved in and am not very familiar with the house yet he was incredibly helpful asking if I have any additional electrician questions! That's really going above and beyond! Value wise they are very competitive! The other quote I got was $500 and $700 depending on if there was an existing fan that's simply replaced or an all new install. Vine beat both of those quotes and even have a 5% off summer promo of the estimate if approved same day. I called back with a request to change some details on the installation. The office was able to get the message to Nate and he called me back within the hour. We finalized the quote and work was scheduled early the next week! Lindoro came to do the installation. He arrived promptly and was very polite. Very clean laying down butcher paper. He was also very thorough in confirming details of the installation. Great guy! Nate and Lindoro really made the experience as smooth as possible. Vine is definitely on my short list of electricians to contact for a quote the next time I have a project. I feel confident they will respond and the price is reasonable.

So I do my research and am VERY selective in who I hire when our house needs work. My wife and I hired Andy Fernandes and Adval and they proved to be the real deal. Andy was *always* prompt - every time he or anyone from his company was scheduled to arrive they arrived early. Andy and his crew were communicative, clearly very knowledgeable, and straightforward, which is to say that they told me *and showed me* what was really happening and not what they wanted to promise or what they thought we wanted to hear. And they followed through exactly as they said they would. The quality of their work was outstanding. We had a few kitchen cabinets that had gotten damaged by the 2014 Napa quake and were looking like they were going to fall off the wall. Andy sent over a master carpenter (he spent years building stuff for moneyed people on Martha's Vineyard, who can be quite demanding) who didn't "upsell" us by telling us one of the cabinets needed to be rebuilt (the build cabinet in their own shop), he showed us in detail exactly what the problem was and convinced skeptical me that a new cabinet built from real plywood instead of the particle board of the cabinets the flipper who sold us the house had installed was the way to go. They reused the facing from the old cabinets, so the match was immaculate. Price-wise, yeah, they weren't the cheapest I could have found, but they were most definitely not close to the high end, they were right in the ballpark, and I figure if I demand quality I have to be wiling to pay for it. And we most decidedly got what we paid for. I repeat again that I am VERY picky about contractors, but I unhesitatingly give Adval Construction my highest recommendation. Our job was pretty small, but I would hire them for a big job in a heartbeat. This is the way construction contracting is supposed to work.

I sent an email for an estimate. Luis immediately replied. He asked for a few pictures and then provided an estimate. Luis was able to fit me in a few days later and totally rebuilt my gate. Deb called me Thursday evening to let me know her washer repairman didn't come that day and she would have to now cancel my Friday morning appointment to wait for her washer repairman in addition to her husband having a doctor appointment. It's clear this company either a) doesn't have the time for new clients b) doesn't understand customer service or c) truly doesn't want new business. Unfortunate!

Deb is working on getting glass quotes for me. They do excellent work. I highly recommend them for this type of a project. I posted a before and after picture. The white on the cupboards was my attempt to paint them - epic fail. A company will be painting these before the glass is installed.
