It's time to start decorating my house so I decided to check out Living Spaces again. It had been awhile since I had been here so I wasn't sure what to expect. Well not much had changed as far as friendly service and a wide selection of furniture. What I like about this furniture store is that it is separated into sections. You can see all the living room, bedroom and dining room sets in their own area of the store. I like that I can get a clear idea of all the choices. Their website is also a great tool to offset the store visit. I will be ordering a lot of furniture here soon. read more

Living Spaces does not honor manufacturers defects! Beware! After barely 6 months of use our sofa back cushions looked lousy. The manager recognized that this was a defect. We asked simply for a new "stuffing" to put inside. No was the answer. Will never buy from here again. The product looks great for the price but does not hold up. We were only few months over the 1 year warranty - but we had plane tickets to prove we had been working out of the country - so the couch was unused - for nearly 6 months. No dice. Living Spaces Manager acknowledged the defect but shook his head "sorry". For a customer that purchased over $13,000 of merchandise a company cannot provide new stuffing. Wow! We won't walk into the store again - nor will our two adult children now furnishing their new places. read more

Yuk! We purchased two large Cameron II sofas and an area rug from the Redondo Beach location. We had to wait 8 weeks for the sofas to be delivered, and we were so excited when they finally arrived today. Whoops! Both sofas were covered in gross brown stains and one had a large hole in the arm, despite being wrapped in plastic. It looks like the damage was done at the factory before shipment. Is no one actually looking at these items before they head out the door? In addition, the wrong rug arrived, despite being marked with the correct SKU. We had to send it all back and now our living room is once again empty. We were told by customer service that we would have to wait another 8-10 weeks for the sofas to be remade. Delivery went smoothly. Not only do they send you a couple of email reminders, but they call the night before delivery to confirm and give you a smaller delivery window (about 2-3hrs). You can even track how far they are. We did the inside drop-off with no assembly. Guys were quick, efficient, and nice! read more

I recently bought a set of recliners and also a rug. I was going through the rugs that were hang and I came across one that was very nice and but had a tag of "as is" .so my wife and decided to buy it since the rug was hung on display ,thinking it was never on the floor and everyone stepping all over the rug .last thing we want is to bring home COVID19 or any other germs since I have a 2 years and 6 month old daughter.when I got home and open it the center was nice fluffy fibers and brilliant colors but the sides around the rug were all worn out flat .this rug was on the floor and has been step on since 2/28/2018 so worn out that you can't even see the rugs original price anymore. I've gone to Living Spaces the past few times I've needed some type of furniture and I haven't had any problem. Our last trip to Living Spaces was almost a year ago when we were shopping to furnish my boyfriend's apartment. With the help of Samuel, we were able to customize the perfect couch that we just fell in love with. We also found a dining and coffee table we loved. The service is great as well! The coffee table ended up being too big for our couch, so the delivery guys took it back and when we called to inform the store, the process was so easy. We also had a couple scratches on our dining table, so when we called, they gave us step-by-step instructions on how to exchange it. I recently bought a new house and although we love our couch, it takes up a good amount of space in our living room. We went back to the store to possibly find a couch that would give us a little more room to work with. Or to find a side table to make up for the chaise we would take out to make more room. Samuel saw us and remembered us from the last time! We explained our situation and he was patient and walked around with us and gave us all the information we needed to make a decision. Such fun conversation, but also kept it professional and gave us different options on how to make more space in the living room while keeping this couch we so love! He did so without being pushy and still making us feel like we came to a decision on our own and wasn't pressured into it. Decent choices. More on the traditional style than modern. We were lookin at sleeper sofas but there weren't that many different styles to choose from. They do have it all as far as sofa sets, bedroom sets, rugs and accompanying pieces go. There is even a room for you if you need a new mattress. Towards the back are the televisions as there is a Paul's Appliances inside the store. Place is huge. It's cavernous. High blue ceilings that goes on for many many yards. Service was friendly as staff did check in on us but let us browse without them hovering over us with lots of questions. They have some nice pieces but those are neither on sale or have the options you might be looking for. As such was the case with us. read more

Living Spaces is a good place to shop, lots to choose from as far as selection of sizes, material, prices, and styles. They have these outdoor "tent" sales now and then and run some promotions. The staff are friendly and helpful. A suggestion would be "free delivery within a 5 or 10 mile radius" of the store's retail location with a purchase of $300 or more. I think that would inspire and motivate locals to support the business. Paying a delivery fee on top of making a purchase is a psychological barrier for many customers that often becomes the tipping point of being the deal breaker in the decision making process to "think about it" only to never follow up. So, at minimum, I would recommend they run seasonal free delivery promotion to test the interest and see if it inspires more spontaneous sales to the local community. read more

3 years ago I bought a revive bed. It showed up and it was great for about 2 years. For one year it was incredibly uncomfortable. I decided to take advantage of the opportunity to see if it was within warranty. I had to pay $100 for someone to come out and look at the bed but there was an anomaly in the bed that warranted a full refund. I decided to give living spaces and another shot. I got a new bed, it's the revive twin extra long but two of them that makes a large with the adjustable frame. The excellent help from Randy, I think 17 years since the store opened. I have to admit when calling the customer service line it is not easy. I had to call and speak to three people before getting someone to come out to my house. Either there's just a lack of communication or the guidance has a few loopholes. I want to give a wonderful review but calling the warranty side of this business is not wonderful. And I don't want the store to get blamed for that. I received an email that said that they were going to refund the amount of the bed that I currently had. And I was told that I would be refunded the $100 for the home visit. Somehow that didn't get communicated back in the email to the store location. I knew the cashier was just doing her job when she told me she couldn't give me the $100 back and that I'd have to call the number that where the people are not very helpful it was really discouraging. Fortunately a manager was able to step in and help me and give me the credit. He was aware of the $100 fee and the $100 credit. Although the corporate refund warranty center didn't include it in the email. So I wanted to put this five-star review on the Yelp for all the help and then even to delivery guys came out Alex and Ohsario (sp) sorry if I messed up the spelling of that name. We're just amazing and efficient at setting everything up. I had a sleeping baby in the next room and a sleeping mother in the other room that's 90 and they didn't wake either one of them up. That was a miracle. I want to think the cashier that helped me but I'm looking at my receipt and have no name for the cashier and no name for the salesman but they were amazing. I do have the managers name Lego Thong! I really like every single salesperson that I've ever been helped with at this location I've bought a rug couches reclining chairs two beds well now three beds. They're always so kind and helpful. I noticed that there was only three stars prior to my rating. I hope people in the future recognize the difference between living spaces the store and the customer service phone numbers. Because I would be nice if I was giving living spaces a three star calling the 800 or 877 numbers. It would be a one I've spoken to two good people out of many. Too many. Do Not waste your money here, I purchased a couch I was told I could pick any cloth they had and they would make it, all great there. I paid to have the couch delivered into my house, movers damaged it when bringing it in. I called Living Spaces, I was offered a discount for my troubles and told they would fix it. I sent the pictures as asked, didn't hear from them. I called again and was told that someone would contact me, they didn't I just got an email that parts were ordered and to call when I received them. I did. When the person came to fix it, he let me know they didn't order all the necessary parts. I called and a new appointment was set, I ask for my discount and they said since I agreed to fix it, I forfeit the discount, I never agreed, they decided. After some back and forth and me calling them numerous times, they said they can give me 10% off I said no, I had wasted over 10 hours of my time waiting on them to come and fix a sofa, that I had paid for them to professionally deliver. NOT ONCE DID THEY APOLOGIZE. I contacted Better Business Bureau and Living Spaces responded that they don't compensate for any inconveniece, time loss that they may cause due to not being able to do what they were paid to do, deliver a sofa. Why is it so hard to get in contact with the store. I called the number online which is an 877 and I don't need customer service I want to speak to the actual store. There was a young lady that helped me and I want to know if she's working so I can complete my purchase with her. I don't want to have to drive all the way there and she's not there. We purchase a studio set last year. We have made multiple complaints about this and have came in the store to personally share our disappointment and frustration. We also shared our concerns for the living spaces studio brand and quality. Lego thong (supervisor at store) said he will call me back. I send him multiple emails as follow up with image and evidence, it's been 4 months with no reply. I was a loyal customer of living spaces before this purchase, I bought furnitures 3 years ago without any issues but this time it was different. We ordered bed, adjustable base and mattress and scheduled a day for delivery, so I got off from work to be at home at the day of delivery, two men brought the parts to my home and told me they can't assemble the bed because some part of it is broken, he said we leave the adjustable base and mattress here and someone else is going to bring the rest and will assemble the bed. I got off from my work for two days later , again two men came to our house, one of them yelled we don't assemble the adjustable base because we didn't bring it so call living spaces and let them know. They even didn't assemble the bed correctly and one part is missing , they didn't ask me to sign any receipt and left the house while I was calling their company. I called living spaces and after putting me on hold for 30 min the guy told me that I should schedule another day for assembly of adjustable bases. I went furniture shopping today and am so happy with my experience at Living Spaces. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed directions. I did and the kind lady at the desk directed me to the back corner. I was in the recliner section and Joseph and Roger were so helpful and knowledgeable. I ended up buying 2 recliners which will be delivered to me this weekend. What a difference this shopping experience was compared to Jerome's. The second I walked in the door there, Maurice was so aggressive and following me around even though I told him I was just looking and would let him know if I needed help. I felt very harassed and uncomfortable. I didn't buy anything at Jerome's because of the aggressive sales man. I just got a $1200 leather recliner and the back sinks down when reclined. When I recline halfway the chair sinks slowly back until fully reclined with in 60 seconds. This chair is made in China and the mechanicals are very poor and overall quality is very poor. Customer service in non existent and I have not gotten a response from 3 phone calls and e-mails I don't want this peace of junk and have no way of returning it. Very disappointed in living spaces. We received our couch in late June and noticed right away there was a gash in the corner of it. We uploaded pictures and were shortly notified that our loveseat would be exchanged in late August. It's now September and we finally got our "new" couch. This couch is worse than our first one, and from the wear in the back it looks like it has been in someone's home. For all the money I paid, this is unacceptable. I'm so disappointed with this store!! I bought these couches only 3 years ago, and they look terrible!! When I called I had sent them the pics and that was only like 1 year later it was starting to peel. I had told them I purchased a warranty on the couches and they told me it was only for the mechanical part of the couch. I can't believe these couches just keep peeling and peeling, we're adults,no children and no pets! And remember this started 1 year later it's now 3 years And now they responded saying there's a 1 year warranty on fabric??? Why did they not tell me that when I called almost a year later? We don't lay our heads on the arm part of couch how can you say it's from oils, so there again you blame us for the peeling of the couch, I would think you would want to fix this situation. Wow! We loved the couch in the beginning. After less than a month, the wood frame was broken (light use) and had to be repaired - we appreciated that they repaired it in home so nicely. After about 2 years, it started wearing in a way that you would not want to sit in certain areas as it would slope from left to right in areas (like sitting on a hill sideways). The fabric is also pilling and not looking great after only 2 years). I shouldn't have waited, but at year 3 I finally tried to get help via the 5 year warranty and never heard back. I tried calling and it is just an automated answering service that sends you back to their website. I tried calling the Living Spaces store and they tried to help but they are not connected to the warranty company and could not help. SO, long story short, their warranty is no good. You cannot get ahold of anyone and they do not respond when you submit a claim on their website. I do realize that this is the warranty company, but it is who living spaces sells when they sell the furniture. After spending $3500 on a couch and warranty, I need to buy a new couch 3 years later :( read more

Poor reviews are a clear reflection of what this place deserves and there's no sweet talking your way out of it. I purchased what I thought looked like a nice set in store. We've had the sofa and chair less than a year. If you sit on one of the seats and get up there's a big popping sound that comes with it. Embarrassing when you have people over. However once we decided to go with a bed set for my son, and agreed on a price then was told that the mattress was not included. And it would be 275 more. I felt like the nickel and dime situation.....I asked if we can do something about this and see about negotiating something since it was not explained that it didn't include the mattress till after I agreed on price and ran the credit and was doing the signatures. Some people might just say ok and move on but it's not right and would like to let it be known for those that may of had the same experience here. Not even the manager came by to say anything to me. During a recession you would think earning more business would be important but no I canceled feeling very disappointed that an effort to try and make things write wasn't even attempted. This is the worst company I ever ordered anything from. Save your money, your time and all the headache and just find another furniture store. Over the last 4 months i have been constantly lied by their employees and their management. Delivery date was promised for 4 to 6 weeks after placing the order, 4 months later i am still waiting. Their staff is absolutely incompetent, they never know what is going on, never have any updates or information about my order. They lie to me about sending emails that are never send, about managers who will call me and they never call, other things too. They work with 3 rd patty delivery company called XPO logistics, and Living spaces claimed half a dozen time over the last month that all my furniture pieces have been send to XPO. The people from XPO insist they haven't received anything and they are still waiting for the order to arrive. 9 000$ worth of furniture and no one tells me where it is, at what stage of completion it is and any estimate when will I receive it. I would rate this company ZERO STARS if I could. I recently purchased a new mattress with my new credit card. Why did they charge me TWICE?! I literally just got off the phone with customer service, and they confirmed this. Now I have to go through the dispute process. Meanwhile, my credit rating is affected because this company has made it look like I maxed out my card when I didn't. DO NOT SHOP HERE! They are literally incompetent and will put your financial health at risk. Long, long story short. The sales team and customer service at the store are great. I spent almost $4k there on a mattress, couch, recliner and coffee table. They delivered it as promised by midnight right around 11:30PM. My delivery time frame was 8PM-Midnight. The moment the furniture was delivered I immediately saw some flaws in the assembly of the recliner and the mechanism of the raise top coffee table. I called them to let them know and they had a technician out within a couple of days. He could not fix the issue so I called warranty back. After only two months the padding in the recliner was sliding to one side. I called them about that and they ended up scheduling an appt. to pick up all furniture and service the issues. When they arrived the "movers" said they are only scheduled to pick up one item. No room on the truck, not only did they not speak good English, but they were also hard to understand. We ended up scheduling another pick up date for the rest of the furniture only to have the drivers return to us that night. So since I bought the icomfort mattress from Living Spaces 7 years ago my mattress is starting to sag. I called Living Spaces to exercise the 10 year warranty. The tell me I have to pay $100 for the inspection! So I paid it they came out (third party)and inspected the mattress it was indeed slouching. So, next I am to clean any stains that show on my mattress and submit photos that show I indeed cleaned them. So I submit the photos and because of "lighting" was not acceptable they have to come out a second time and inspect the Mattess! My thought is why, are they going to try to resale the mattress again? Why, if it is slouching and they agreed does the mattress have to be spot clean? Living Spaces denies any fault and tell me that it's the manufacturer's policy! I claim that this is so wrong and they are trying to give you the run a around! Did I say I hate Living Spaces in Redondo Beach. Obviously a lot of people agree with me cause they only have 2.5 stars. My review will lower it even more. When buying my first house, I had my mind set on getting my furniture from Living Spaces because they have some amazing collections. I must say that the negative reviews did worry me, but on second thought I figured that mostly upset people would bother posting about bad furniture experiences. So here I was, trying to buy just about everything one might need in a house on their website. When I was done making my selection, the website told me I had to place my order in store out of fear of fraud issues with my card. Seriously?! I printed out my entire list and went to the one in Redondo. Luckily, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Very efficient service and I got a nice little folder with an overview of my purchase as well as a reminder for the delivery date of the big stuff. Come the day of the delivery, two guys showed up with a truckload of furniture at my doorstep. They were so friendly and worked their butts of for two whole hours in my house, dragging things upstairs and assembling everything. No damage done to either my house or any pieces. Where things went a little rocky is with everything that came with UPS ground transportation. Their tech is abysmal at best and if you log into your account you can't even see accurate order updates or tracking numbers. The tracking numbers were emailed to me but no link provided. I even got one tracking number emailed to me after the order had already been delivered. Not ideal when you are arranging a move. Yet in the end, I got all of the things I ordered in a perfect condition and I am loving every bit of them! read more
