So here's my review and it's all true. we purchased a new home and wanted a new bedroom set and sofa. went here and found a sofa but it had power recliners and I hate wires sticking out so the sales girl told me and my hubby about batteries you can buy and said they hide up underneath so you won't see them. first big fat lie. I was questioning that so she called a guy over to show us how it works and ok I started falling for it. She told us 1 big $500 battery would run the whole large sofa and a small $250 1 would run the extra recliner we wanted. Wow I was amazed only one battery to run like 6 pieces again me being concerned asked 2 more times and was told with a smile yup. Bought it and the batteries and a bedroom set and oh with all that we needed a warranty that cost over $300. Well delivery date came and my hubbys chest was delivered damaged. took a lot of effort even the threat of returning all to get that replaced. then noticed one usb did not work in main recliner on sofa and 2 didn't work in. a whole corner price. Oops forgot the part wher we had to go back to the store to buy a y wire that was needed to connect all the pieces together for the battery that our sales people left when they told us only one battery would work all. More money for that. now paid a bunch for warranty they never get back to you called store they say they will help but don't. Living spaces ripped me off $800 and does not care one bit. I came into the store looking to buy a dupe of Restoration Hardware's Cloud Couch. The sales person told me they know that couch and proceeded to show me a couch they said was the same, only not as expensive. They didn't have the color I wanted so I was forced into a special order at a very extravagant price. The whole deal made me nervous, but I was assured by the salesperson that upon deliver if I did not like the couch I would not have to take delivery. Well, I found out the salesperson lied to me just to make a sale, because the couch I ordered, for thousands of dollars mind you, was not like the cloud couch. The cloud couch is extremely soft, even around the frames. So I proceeded to cancel the couch and I WAS CHARGED A 25% RESTOCKING FEE!!!! I have escalated to several managers and have been met with a condescending tone and a reference back to "policy". I gave Living Spaces $800 and got nothing in return and none of their employees seem to care. Even though they can and will sell the sofa I ordered, they're keeping almost $1,000 of my money. I am beyond livid at this company. I purchased a couch here 8 years ago! I can't believe it's been that long already. It still looks great. The cushions can be removed for washing which is highly necessary with my four kids. The arm rests have gotten a little dirty over time, but I'm sure I could spot clean them. For the most part it's held it's shape. The center part of it (it's a U shaped couch with a chaise) seems to have broken a spring, but other than sinking down a little more into it and the springs creaking I can't tell. The only other complaint I have is a small tear along one of the seams of the couch cushion - it happened just over a year so our warranty had expired - but I never fixed it and it hasn't gotten any bigger all these years later - we just turned it over so we couldn't see it. read more

First time checking out living space. The furniture is nice and reasonable priced....but here comes the reason for the 1-start review. After almost making a purchase, the sales associate offers a protection plan. When I asked about the warranty, he explained that the Living Space warranty covers ONLY the material and NOT the labor to repair the item under warranty (contrary to what the sales rep will tell you, this is NOT a common warranty!) Ex: If you purchase a couch and the seam rips within your 1 year warranty, the material is covered, but YOU (the buyer) is responsible for the cost of having a technician going to your home, inspecting the furniture, and repairing the damage. $99 minimum. This is NOT a normal warranty. I've been purchasing from Jerome's for years and their warranty covers ALL costs associated with a warranty repair (material, labor, shipping, etc...). When Living Space explains this, it seems almost like a no-brained to purchase their extended protection plans, but to me it felt like their warranty is set up to make customers purchase the protection plan. We ended up going to Jerome's and found an almost identical furniture set, at a lower price AND the warranty covers ALL costs. read more

The terrible reviews are well earned! I have been waiting 5 weeks for a delivery of a couch. I was called this morning and told it would be showing up tomorrow. And then in the afternoon they call back to say there are no couches in my area so delivery will be delayed (no estimate given). How can a company be this sloppy and irresponsible with customer service? Will see if they come up with a reasonable solution but until that happens I would be giving them zero stars if I could to reflect the fact they they didn't actually deliver the item I paid for. Outrageous. Update - I was told someone would be contacting me shortly to provide a new estimated delivery. But nobody has contacted me. We had been searching all day at several different places looking for a good sectional and we were losing hope. We last minute decided to come to Living Spaces and saw they had many options and modern looking stuff! We were overwhelmed at first, but an associate by the name of Destiny helped us find exactly what we were looking for! A huge help to our headache for finding something within our timeframe, but at points it did feel rushed. We wanted something before Thanksgiving and just got it today! The moving guys were super nice , but made an assumption with the length of our sofa and didn't even try to get it into our apartment so we had them leave it and took matters into our own hands and got it in ourselves. How could that happen when I called them in mid November and they told me that they should be able to deliver the correct one to us in mid Dec and it's now January 2022! This score is for their bed/customer service sections. Their peruvian table sales person was amazing, I think his name was Alfonso. However, The mattress sales lady verbally tell you your mattress will be delivered in a couple days but we had to wait 20+ days for the adjustable box spring. Cool, we agreed, knowing the items would be shipped on different dates. We reiterated, multiple times that the mattress will be delivered in a couple days but the adjustable box spring would be delivered later. They confirm. So now us and the mattress people know what is going on. They even go as far as to tell us that we need to pack our old bed into their plastic covid condom bag so their delivery guys will pick it up, because if it isn't in that bag, they won't take it. Well, the day the mattress is supposed to be delivered it never comes. We call to see where it is and they said the shipping people may have thought it all comes on the same day, meaning they thought we wanted to wait 20+ days for the mattress. I go down their to ask for a refund and their is no apology, no reasoning, no one is responsible and customer service gaslights me by saying no one told me it would be delivered on the day we expected it like My wife and I just pulled the date out of our ass. They offered zero solutions to fix the issue. It was the fastest refend process I have ever had in my life so I guess kudos for that. I was not a karen, I was polite, I didn't berate the customer service lady for trying to gas light me but they treated me as if I was that guy. Asking questions and trying to iron out delivery dates was useless. What is quite clear to me is they tell you what you want to hear so they can get your money knowing they can't deliver what they say they are going to in a timely fashion and don't really expect people to follow through with going back into the store and getting a refund. NEVER SHOP AT LIVING SPACES! If I could give them negative stars, I would. When I first discovered Living Spaces back in 2016, I loved it and was shocked to find a furniture store where the sales people didn't hound you while you shopped. Skip to 2021, I'm excited to buy a new bed from living spaces. Even though I received a confirmation email the day before saying that my mattress was going to arrive as scheduled, when the truck showed up with my other furniture, no mattress. The customer service at Living Spaces was awful! They blamed me and said I was wrong. I finally got a manager on the phone who, after I provided proof of my email and transaction history and spending an hour on the phone with her trying to get her to admit their wrong and fix it, she finally agreed to get me another mattress so I would have somewhere to sleep that night, but I had to pay an EXTRA $150. I vowed to never shop at Living Spaces again. Now, in 2024, I called up Living Spaces to get my voucher for my unused warranties on other pieces, and they said it's expired. Um, excuse me? You didn't even send me the voucher! The woman on the phone from this store told me again, that I was in the wrong and oh well there is nothing they can do because it's expired. Then she rudely hung up! NEVER SHOP AT LIVING SPACES! The customer service is the worst I have ever seen from any merchant. We purchased a Revive 3.0 adjustable bed with mattress and Thorpe Eclipse Power Lift recliner from Vista, CA store for my sister who has Parkinson's disease, recently fell and is now in a Long Term Care facility. She tried the furniture a few days after May 9th and was unable to use the items safely. The bed/mattress was too high she would have had to use a stepstool to get in bed and she was scared of the chair because it pushed her too fast she was again afraid to fall. We contacted Customer Service numerous times. On 5/26th I called and asked to speak to the District Mgr. who NEVER called me as they had promised. I called to speak to someone in their Corporate Office which was told they would not provide me with that number or person in charge. I took it upon myself to Google "executives at Living Spaces" so I simply called (877) 266-7300 and left messages for EVERY executive on the list. If you plan to do this you have to go through prompts number 4 then 2 and enter the executives first/last name. I then received from LEWIS who does not have his last name listed on his email however it shows up in his email address (DUH). His last name is KESSLER. This young man is incompetent and was very condescending when he spoke to me. After I decided he was NOT a decision maker I asked to speak to his Supervisor which he would NOT provide me with her name, email or phone number. He did however send me an email stating "MARIA" (no last name) would contact me. I am patiently waiting to see how my conversation goes with her and if she has the authority to refund my items. NOW I find the SMALL cautionary info on their company website, " CALIFORNIA PROP 65 - "Living Spaces furniture upholstery products contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm". We do not want this furniture now or ever....my sister is susceptible to cancer (she has had cancer in the past) and he immune system is low. She recently was hospitalized at Scripps Hospital for septic which effected her Parkinson's which is why she is not in Long Term Care. This is my first yelp review ever...I'm not one to write them, but people need to be warned about this place. Went to the showroom in October 2023 with my Grandma of all people because she wanted to gift me a dresser for a move. I have been out of the furniture shopping game for awhile and didn't want anything super expensive, so I'd thought I'd give this place a go (without having seen any reviews). Salesperson that helped us was super nice and helpful especially towards my grandma who doesn't do well with technology, but wanted to be the buyer. She ended up purchasing me a new dresser and matching nightstand and added assembly and delivery to my address for the purchase. Totaling over 600 dollars with tax which is a pretty penny in my book. Furniture looked and felt nice at showroom. Delivery day comes and the two men put the dresser against the wall where I wanted it and left very quick, but were nice. (Granted this delivery cost about an extra 70 dollars) The following weeks after closer looks at it I was unhappy with the quality...all corners of the furniture had small amounts of chipping from where it was wrapped during delivery, drawer endings aren't lined up straight, the top left knob crooked. I still liked the looks of it so I tried to tell myself not to be so picky, but I thought to myself the quality definitely is not there and no way it's real wood if it is advertised to be. Come to now... I bend down to unplug a light from the outlet behind my dresser that I never have to unplug and there's a huge crack in the backboard. Now, I didn't look behind it during the delivery process...thought why would I need to? And I really can't be sure if it happened during the delivery process. I don't overstuff the drawers, I don't keep anything heavy on top of it...bottom line a 6 month old dresser shouldn't do this. I wasn't worried at all though because I knew it had a limited warranty and I had a good experience with the customer service at the showroom. WRONG. The warranty covers nothing I am SHOCKED. So if your furniture is damaged during the delivery that YOU pay extra money for they won't cover it. I wouldn't have purchased any furniture from here had I known about such a policy. Anyways, I make a claim about the damage minus anything about it being from delivery because it might have not even happened during that time. Filing the claim it gives an option about having cracks or damage in the furniture and to submit photos with a short caption. Luckily my brother was with me because I couldn't lift the thing away from the wall on my own. I submit the claim and they (the bot) says to expect a phone call within 1-3 business days about it. I get a call 10 MINUTES later with a quick hello and the guy saying they don't cover damage of any sort anything else I can help you with? No? goodbye. Are you kidding? No other options once so ever to help me with this situation and I wasted all that time having to move the thing away from the wall to submit the pictures for nothing? I was planning on going in store to see if they could do anything, but after reading these reviews why would I bother? Also, don't trust the google rating it's 4.9 stars, but this yelp is the real deal. BEYOND disappointed and I will never buy anything from living spaces again and will never recommend it to anyone. I just downsized and had to sell all of my old furniture as it would not fit. I ended up at Living Spaces for the bedroom set. I love the furniture...actually better quality than I expected. The problem came with the damage to my new floor during delivery. It happens, I know. HOWEVER, the problem is the zero contact to resolve the problem. Delivery was on 6/27/22, a call was made that day and I was instructed to call another number to report the claim. I reached out on 7/8/22 and filed a claim and uploaded pics. Was told I would be contacted in 3-5 business days. It is now 43 days later with at least 8 calls to them and numerous on line chats. THERE HAS BEEN NO CONTACT. I am told the only way to reach these people is by email. One of the customer service people copied me on an email to this group. So I have also sent them multiple emails. Still no contact. Short of legal action I am at a loss. I will never shop there again and neither will anyone I know after hearing this. This is absolutely ridiculous! Legal action will be coming soon. read more

This is literally, the worst experience I've ever had buying ANYTHING. In there tonight, trying to buy a couch. Their computers were down. A guy spent 15 minutes getting info from my stepdad (who was buying me the couch), then said the computer would be working in 15 minutes, so we browsed the store. THen, 15 minutes later, we couldn't find the guy. So, we asked a woman for help at "customer service." Another person was having problems making a purchase, they said their computers were down. When I said this to the woman, in a snotty tone, she said "No they're not. We can do the sale." Then when we gave her the information, she said it wouldn't go thru. And I had a bit of a tone as I said "Yeah, well, you just said you could" and she snapped at me. From this point forward, it just went downhill. The woman helping us, who I believe was a manager, was rude. We called the guy Alan over, and he didn't remember the info he just spent 15 minutes getting from my stepdad. They finally got our phone number, and found the info. Since it didn't work, they said they'd send a link to my stepdad to fill it out at home, but that he only had an hour to do it, or it expires. He rushed him, did it, but called us saying it's asking for an "session number" and he had no clue what that was, so we said "If you can't find a 'session number' just press 'submit'." He did that. Then called back, saying the order didn't go through. Uh...do these people want to sell their products or not? There's literally two cars in the parking lot when we showed up at 6 p.m. And, my wife got an email confirming delivery. How is it they can confirm the deliver, if we technically, haven't even made the payment going thru???? These guys need better customer service (and computers that work). The shame of it is...they have a nice collection of furniture. As I write this, my stepdad and mom, who wanted to be nice and buy us a house warming gift of a couch -- are on some 877 phone number trying to get help placing an order that should have been done in the store!! I am having a terrible experience with one of their couches. The fabric broke after just four months of use and we opened a claim to have it repaired. Since they don't have that couch available anymore, they are not able to fix it and they are just offering a store credit. They won't even offer a refund for their defective product. I will never buy here again. UPDATE 12/19/2020 - I came back to the store today to confirm with their Customer Service employee that the store credit was applied. He said the credit was valid for 30 days from the moment it was issued and not 90 like the customer representative said at the phone. We scheduled the hauler for our old couch the morning of, and then right at the beginning of the delivery window, the driver called us to say dispatch had sent him to Carlsbad, rather than Vista, even though our address doesn't exist in Carlsbad. Apparently, 15 minutes was too much of an inconvenience and we wouldn't receive our couch today. We also couldn't reschedule delivery until it was back to the warehouse. We're in the midst of a pandemic and needless to say we live on our couch most days. I appalled by their toLACK of customer service. Don't be swindled by their nice showroom. Once they have your money, they don't deliver...literally. Update on October 3rd: Well, we finally have a couch, after almost a week of being without, however, our rug is still missing. It was supposed to be on the truck with the couch for the first delivery. Well, since that delivery didn't happen, we did not receive it. Then a week later, it was supposed to be on the truck with the couch, but for some mysterious reason it wasn't. We reached out to customer support and they said they would look into it. Two days later they call us to schedule delivery, but then say their system won't let them schedule it. Two days later they reach out to us again and say the warehouse LOST the rug and they're trying to look at camera footage to hold the driver responsible. We asked for them just to order a new rug from inventory because this is beyond ridiculous, and they said they can't get ahold of their inventory department and have been trying all day...so, should we put up "Missing" posters for our rug? Upon inspection, we noticed the assembly was botched. Hardware was missing and put together incorrectly. Bed was also missing a leg protector, which damaged our brand new floor. The second bed was also put together incorrectly. The four chairs we ordered with a dining table were of shoddy manufacture with legs of different lengths and thus, wobbly. Overall, this was our third large purchase from living spaces over the years and it will likely be our last, as it was a very negative experience. read more

Not only was he not pushy like the other furniture stores we went to, he was extremely patient and informative with all of our questions. When it comes to furniture buying I'm extremely picky just to make sure we are getting the best quality. COVID has affected a lot of manufacturing since China is pretty much shut down. Living spaces is one of the only places that manufactures furniture's from factories in Southern California. Therefore we only have to wait for two months for our customized furnitures. I found sales people around the store with a few customers. I walked by the office area, a sales woman with long dark wavy hair walked by did not even say hi or welcome (this was towards the center of the store). Towards the back of the store we ran into the same sales person, we asked where the entertainment centers are and she pointed, they are over there and turned and walked away. We got a call yesterday from Living Spaces informing us that the manufacturer sent an update about the mattress and it said they don't even have the materials to make the mattress yet and still do not have an ETA. Our couch is still not ready yet so we're still waiting. Then when we thought we're getting great news today because we received a voicemail and email saying that our "orders" were ready and to call to schedule a delivery. (We have two orders totaling 3 items) We quickly called them back to schedule. After waiting for half an hour on the phone, they said they it was not ready. We were put on hold again so they can check on their back end and it turns out only one item was ready, which has been ready since we first ordered it!! All in all, we spent an hour on the phone just to find out NONE of our orders were even ready!!! The items we have been waiting for for over 2 months is still not available. Amazing place! Everything was neat and in place, I mean each furniture was sectioned properly, and not just put everything together. You can actually walk through and breathe around lol. We were looking for a bed frame, and found one we liked. We talked to an associate and it was backordered, but she had taken our info and said the company we'll be calling us in 2 weeks for delivery which they did, it was easy and you can also check online the status and on the day off delivery you can see which stop no. your house. Overall, highly recommend. We love our new bed frame, it took us less than an hour to build it. If you're wondering, its the larkin espresso bed. read more

Do not pay for the extra protection on rugs. It's a total scam. They refused to do anything even though the rug purchased couldn't handle ANY foot traffic for 6 months. It's ridiculous. Living spaces was fine to work with but they shouldn't be promoting a warranty/ extra protection that doesn't do squat. Over $300 spent on a rug that was used for less than 6 months. Do not buy from these Conartists. I bought a $2500 recline couch from them. After receiving it I noticed a tear in the middle section. When I called to ask what they can do for me the gal on yhe phone was very rude and explained they could not replace one piece of the couch because that woulld mean breaking up anothet sofas piece. I complained and they finally replace the middle piece. After it was installed. A few months later my daughter said that it was a different color than the rest. I did not notice because I am color blind. I took photos and issued a claim. They just called me saying that the discoloration was due to normal wear and tear. How can that be when it was just replaced. Luckily I bought the extra protection on warranty. I was told I need to go through them now. Do yourself a favor and do not shop at these con artists furniture store. In reply to your less than helpful reply...I will remind you that when I originally called customer service right after my couch was delivered you weren't even willing to replace the couch or the one piece that was damaged. Instead I was offered a discount. No. I told you I did not want a discount. I paid good money for this couch and expect it to be in perfect condition. After pleading with you guys to sort this out you finally agreed to replace the one piece. Never was I it explained to me that the piece might be a different color than the rest. Whatever happened to helping customers. You just wash your hands and you've lost a loyal customer. read more

Delivery for my order time was 4-6 weeks, after 6 weeks tried to Track and no tracking information was available. Called and tried to cancel and they refused to let me cancel, asked for supervisor - none available. Received an email the next day and had to explain everything again. Oscar Guerrero the supervisor just said he would arrange delivery. I said I now wanted to cancel, he said I couldn't. Their returns policy says: For deliveries within Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, Utah, Oklahoma or Kansas, cancellations must be communicated at least 48 hours prior to DELIVERY. Otherwise, a cancellation fee of 10% shall apply. I am in California, I cancelled withing 48 hours of delivery. They refused to accept my cancellation, have not delivered have not refunded, and three weeks has gone by. I'm not sure what to do next, except tell as many people as possible not to buy from them. Their customer service is truly horrible. I'm sure they are trained by management and it is the policy of Living Spaces to be as unfriendly as possible and never to give refunds. read more

Literal pieces of shit. Please read this review and don't take a chance with Living Spaces. This will only work if you live on the first floor. They package their couches so they can't fit up most staircases. Absolutely ridiculous. I read so many reviews saying the same thing- they bring the couch, they say it can't fit and you already paid the delivery fee and restocking fee. They're actually a scam company for these cases. They only ask that you check it'll fit through the door. I literally had the delivery guy yell at me and force me to sign a waiver. I can't believe they actually still have customers.
