Let me start by saying we have been going to BR for over 20 years. This by far is the worst barbecue we have had, ever. BR is typically either good or just ok. We had stuck with them through much inconsistency. Today was the end for us. My wife ordered a duo and trio both of which came with brisket. A Father's Day treat for me. The brisket was grey, rubbery and inedible. Called the store to notify them of our experience and was told that they would simply give us new brisket. I told them that I did not want the same food and would prefer a credit. They told me that to provide a credit back to the credit card would be difficult and would simply give me a food credit for order. Would have expected one or both platters to be fully refunded. Especially after paying $60 for 2 platters plus 10% tip for pickup. Disappointing!!! We will not be ordering from there again!

So much delicious flavorful food!!! Huge portions and genuinely the best bbq around. Super friendly staff and great with allergies. We did takeout so can't speak to ambiance but highly recommend

This place is a classic and I have been coming here for more than 20 Years and it never disappoints. What most people may not know, is that the word Barbecue, came from the original "barbacoa" and the origins of this type of cooking came from the Caribbean by local indigenous people or "Taino " who cooked meat over wood fire. When I walk into this place, it just brings me back home to my native Venezuela, but also to the South that is now famous for it's BBQ, aroma and flavors. You get all of it, as soon as you walk into the door! The windows are usually misty with all the heat from the kitchen, especially during Winter, when I visited it last time. The place just never stops and while this is mostly a takeout place, they do have diner style seating for about 10+ people, where most people, like me, just cannot wait to eat and take it home (which is why I forgot to take pictures of the food). I usually order the burnt ends and choose between 7-8 different selections of BBQ Sauce that they have and sell as well, including all the cool merchandise celebrating this place. In the past, I have ordered the baby back ribs and they are always falling off the bone and melting in your mouth. Around the sauces, you can have tangy, sweet, spicy and many other combinations. If you order the plates, like I do, you can order two sides like slaw, baked beans (my favorite), mashed potatoes, rice and beans and it always come with the traditional corn bread. I am usually coming from the Boston Area to Metrowest, where I live. You can get off the MassPike and be at this place in less than a minute and get one the pike or other highways, just as quickly. This is the main reason why every time I have a craving for BBQ and driving home, this is the spot that I go to. You will not be disappointed, try this place out! Cheers!

We had a fantastic experience here! Blue Ribbon has some great BBQ and even better hot sauce! We split the Duo Combo which consisted of: 1.) 1/4 Jerk Chicken (5 stars) 2.) Pulled Chicken (4 stars) 3.) Collard Greens (4 stars) 4.) Mashed Potatoes (5 stars) 5.) Corn Bread (4 stars) The total bill was $17.11 and it was so worth it! The Duo Combo was definitely enough for two people. We left feeling very full with happy bellies. I would say my favorite chicken was the jerk chicken. It was seasoned beautifully and came sauced with the Blue Ribbon Gold Medal hot sauce. My favorite side was hands down the creamy mashed potatoes. You can't beat those mashed potatoes. You just can't. I wish I had some right now! We will definitely be back for more!

This place was an impulse however it wasn't a bad decision I got the brisket and greens and dirty rice and corn bread it was very filling and I have left for home my co worker got the trio and she gives it a 3.5 out of 5 due to the sauce leaked all over however the mashed potatoes were delicious and the dirty rice could use a spice kick and there were no wet napkins. And it should have been due to its BBQ! And extra napkins would have been appreciated however, we are going to try this place again however mac & cheese would be a great addition to the menu.

The brisket was appallingly not to standards. Somebody got lazy I guess.. We ordered a double platter of brisket and we received 3 little lean pieces and a whole chunk of fatty matter. It literally ruined our mood for the night! So unexpected as these guys are usually the best around. The collards were also not as good as last time. Will give them another chance but they better serve something good next time, or that's it from me.

Tender brisket, pork ribs are tender and meaty often need their sauce to be as juicy as I like. Great for local BBQ.

We got there without realizing what time it was (6 pm) and then realized they were in the process of closing. I offered to take our food to go but they insisted we stay and dine in. Super sweet of them! Food- between my partner and I, we ordered brisket, pulled pork, Mac and cheese, dirty rice, potato salad, corn bread and fried pickles. The good- fried pickles. Excellent breading, super hot, great dipping sauce. Bonus points for being pickle chips and not spears. BBQ sauce was excellent, ketchup based. The meh- everything else. Brisket was pretty dry, and despite having a nice pink ring and good bark, it was bland. Pulled pork I felt similarly about, but when mixing the sauce in it turns out nicely. Both need more salt. Dirty rice was ok. Mac and cheese was pretty run of the mill. Cornbread had too much baking soda and tasted off and was gummy. All of this being said- I want to give it another shot at a time when they are not closing. They were out of ribs, so those deserve a chance. Hoping that next time is better!

I arrived at Hotel Indigo in Auburndale at 5:45 as the Event started at 6 pm. I was pleasantly surprised that the competition was held poolside. Had I known, I would have opted to dress for a quick dip. That put aside, it was perfect weather for an outdoor cook off. The sun was shining, the water in the pool was sparkling, the crowd was bustling, the fight staff were setting up a huge table of food items for the Chefs to grab and best of all the bar was open as in Free Open Bar :) The Chefs must have had a plan, as the whistle blew to start the competition, the Chefs run from the starting line to the table piled high with vegetables, spices, garnishes and more. When the last Chef picked the remaining few items from the table, all that was left were a few broken eggs. Once the Chefs brought their aprons full of supplies back to their cooking area, grills were already hot, the Chefs were called poolside to a table covered in different kinds of mushrooms. I guess they had a drawing as they were called to the table one at a time to choose the box of their favorite Shrooms. When the last box of mushrooms were chosen the Chefs were all back at their makeshift kitchens cutting, chopping and slicing away as fast and as carefully as possible. This allowed all the guests time to walk around and enjoy the free cocktails and mingle while watching these amazing Chefs prepare their magic. The Judges were comprised of some Executive Chefs, TV Personality and a Comic. They were all extremely professional and were available to talk, ask questions and for some even photo opts. Once all the STEAK was cooked and plated the competition was on. The Judges tasted each contestants meat with sides as the entire audience looked on and drooled. Appetizers from the hotel were being distributed in large quantities to hold us over until it was our turn to judge. When the Judges were done it was now everyone else's turn to try all the fabulous BBQ STEAK. I felt as though I was on TV. As the crowd hustled to their favorite Chefs table to nibble on the finished product, my daughter and I decided to start with Chef number one and work our way quickly and quietly around to assure a taste of all the STEAK. To conclude a great event, every one gathered around to hear the names of the winner and runner ups, and scurried around to try seconds and thirds of the Chefs final product. If you ever have an opportunity to attend a Culinary Fight Club Event or any Cook Off for that matter, I highly suggest you go. You will have a great time. I give Culinary Fight Club Boston a Solid 5 Stars.

We had about a 20-30 min wait for a table and explored the area and shops on the block while we waited. When we got seated we cruised the menu and ordered the following: APPETIZERS - chicken karaage - our order came with crispy chicken however lacked seasoning and was a bit over cooked and dry. - okonomiyaki-styled tater tots - the BEST appetizer we ordered, needed a pinch of salt, but flavor wise with the bonito flakes and sauce it was a hit! - green papaya salad this needed more seasoning, mortared herbs and chilis maybe tomatoes and garlic. Pass next time. RAMEN - miso ramen for the kiddo and she enjoyed it. She can't eat spicy so this was a very mild ramen. Didn't think the miso flavor came thru but she enjoyed it. - spicy miso ramen the lady got this one and i tried a some, the broth was lacking a bit of depth today. It's not spicy so normally I'd say even the non-spicy crowd probably would be able to handle it. The broth just tasted more watery was looking for the punch of flavor. Now the noodles were chewy and had great bounce to them, the char siu pork cuts were tender and melt in your mouth! - chef's ultra ramen - this broth definitely was the better broth out of all the ramens in my opinion with plenty of proteins and more depth of flavor, umami, smokiness, smelled great too. - spicy tan tan the brother got this one, it's typically what i would normally go for, he enjoyed it, not too spicy either, could use some more crunchy garlic with the chili oil. Overall would come back to give it another go, perhaps the heavy dinner rush some things got lost in the cooking on certain dishes.

There's also a skewer bin so that you can keep the table clear and tidy. My personal favorites are the pork belly with enoki mushrooms, chicken heart, and pork intestine, although you really can't go wrong with any of the skewers (at least that I've tried).
