Floor material is ok but installation was an absolute amateur job. I have never seen a worse installation job on floors and especially on the base boards. Missing nails, uneven cuts, little pieces (less than .25 of an inch) put in between joints......terrible. read more

I was impressed with their prices for flooring. I didn't have a problem with the customer service in the store. But I did have a problem when their installers came out. They had no idea what the job was. I even had to tell them to cut under the fireplace like I had paid for. If I wouldn't have said anything I would've paid extra money for a feature I wouldn't have received. The installers were good and very kind and willing to do whatever I asked. I got their card so I could just call them next time instead of going through lumber liquidators. Lumber liquidators is the worst at communication even though they take a lot of notes in the store. I was also told they would finish in a day and they didn't because it was only a 2 man team. I would keep the floor purchase and installation separate if I were you. You will have a lot less stress. read more

I got mine acacia from I35 Austin Store, Josh helped me out both times, he figured out everything I need, and still honored the sale price when I purchased a wk later with no quote. The only disadvantage is 20% restocking fee for unopened box return. The wood is top quality, compare to my living room acacia purchased from another flooring store which is much more expensive. Liquidator's acacia has no waste. no defects, and easier to install, wider and thicker for much less money, I mean hardly any gap after the installation. I visited the store during the week, less busy, the customer service is good, they emailed me to follow up, of course I called to confirm the order before my contractor picked up, I purchased with caution, since there are very bad reviews at google about the two Austin stores. My experience is good, of course my sale is quick, I basically walked in and paid, I know what I want after months of research, this is the store my contractor used, I found what I want and that is it. Very happy with the wood, beautifully color, no scratch at all. read more

I am working on a home remodeling project and purchased wood flooring here which had to be delivered from 2 other stores. Delivery date was promised and came and went without any communication from the store. After multiple calls and in-person store visits with promises and unfulfilled assurances of delivery dates I finally had to cancel this order which resulted in lost money. To make matters worse, I contacted the corporate office and they never even bothered to respond! This store has the worst customer service - they don't care about fulfilling orders or ensuring that the customer is happy. No one even bothered to proactively call or contact me in any way at any point. I will NEVER do business with this store again and strongly advise anyone looking for flooring to keep driving and find a more dependable business that actually cares about the customer. read more

Had one issue after the other with the north Austin store. They refuse to ship from the south store and I had to drive from north of Austin through the hellish experience of IH 35 to get to the south store not once but twice to get the correct item that was the north store's error in the first place. Luckily, my car's back seat has a cut out and can accommodate the length of the trim boards I needed to complete the job. In order to get anything correct you will have to deal with the south store. No point in putting down a deposit as they do not reserve the flooring until full price is paid (what is the point of a deposit then?) read more

I saw a TV ad today for flooring for as low as 19cents a foot you can find the same information on the company web site for a super sale that runs all weekend long with super low prices. I called the store to inquire about this early this morning and the sales rep said he sold out of his 2000 sqft of the sale item and tried to sell me flooring that was more than twice as much. BAIT AND SWITCH Don't waste your time shopping here prices advertised are not what they are selling this is untrustworthy to me they will run this advertised price all weekend and not have any flooring in stock at that price. Even though their salesman had promised me that their delivery driver would unload the truck and carry the product into my home, it didn't happen. I feel used and ripped-off. They left my house looking like a construction zone - their installers didn't even finish the job! I went back to the store multiple times begging for them to finish the job and their installers never came back, so I finally submitted a request to customer service to please finish the job and they had me spend an hour submitting documents, pictures, etc. and never returned my emails after that. I eventually had to hire another flooring company to come in and finish the job and now I have a lawyer helping me recover money. My advice is spend $500 more to use a reputable flooring company. read more

Just use someone else, honestly. The folks in the store are very helpful and seem knowledgeable, but Corporate and customer care are an absolute nightmare. We had floors installed in all of our bedrooms (and closets) back in May of 2018 when we moved into our current home. The only reason we went with LL is because the original flooring in the other rooms was sourced and installed by them. Less than 6 months after the installation, the flooring is cupping and bowing and looks terrible. Actually, the flooring in the other areas of the house - which was installed before we moved in - has the same issues, but we were told it was likely just a bad installation. The process to have LL evaluate the problem has taken forever. You have to constantly chase the folks at Corporate, they NEVER respond via email, and they are just flat out slow. It's been almost 4 months since we reported the issue and we now have 2 holes in 2 different parts of our house from flooring that they required us to remove - so that they could determine the cause. They admitted that the cause was an installation issue and have agreed to replace the flooring in the bedrooms and closets, but not in the other areas as warranties are not transferable (conveniently). I honestly don't want to use them again and have requested they settle the amount with us. The representative said she would "discuss that option" with her supervisors, but once again, I have emailed and called repeatedly to get updates, with no response. The worst part is that if I agree to have the floors reinstalled with LL, then everything has to go through Corporate. You see where I'm going with this? At this point, I have junk floors and Corporate seems to be in no hurry to get this fixed. I'm looking for an attorney at this point as I'm not sure what else will speed them up. I purchased laminate flooring from Lumber Liquidators one month ago. I was not satisfied with the strength of the glue on the product. Some pieces stuck to my sub floor, some did not. This was my first experience with Lumber Liquidators, so I gave corporate feedback. THEY ARE MARVELOUS! They really cared about my feedback and how to improve their product. LL went above and beyond getting me the help I needed to have their product installed to my satisfaction. Home Depot and Lowe's customer service never treated me this well! I recently purchased wood flooring from Lumber Liquidators. The price was a little lower than others but there was a catch. After one of their installers measured my room and gave me an estimate I ordered the quantity he told me. On the day of installation they told me I needed glue. No one had mentioned glue when we purchased the wood or when the installer gave his estimate. The installer said he doesn't have glue needed to do the installation. He didn't include the cost on his estimate. The installer says I have to buy it from the store. So I ordered it. $238 additional cost to install $700 worth of wood. That is ridiculous! That is almost 35% additional cost no one told us about until the day of the installation. The store says it's the installer's responsibility, the installer blames the store. Everybody points at the other one. Meanwhile they built in the profit they needed. They required me to buy a 5 gallon container. He used about half of it. That is dishonest. They knew I needed it and neglected to tell me until I ordered the wood. Avoid these crooks. How was the work? The t-molding doesn't match and he brought the wrong length so there is a seam. We've purchased wood laminate from LL twice. No problem with the laminate products - everything was fine and priced more reasonably than Home Depot or Lowe's. Our problem was with returns on our second time around. Our installer placed a completely unopened unused box of the laminate against the wall in a bedroom that we rarely use - it sat there for more than 30 days before we found it. I already knew LL deducted 20% for returned materials, even if unopened. I called and sure enough, they wouldn't take it back. I put it in the car and took it there. After waiting 20 minutes to get served, they finally decided to give me a store credit. That would be okay if it was Home Depot or Lowe's, but we have no more flooring jobs planned for a long time, so the credit is practically worthless. And no, we don't want $30 worth of their crappy wood floor cleaner - we tried it before and it streaked our floors. So maybe we didn't save so much money after all by going to LL. At least Homer or Lowe's will take un-used products back with a smile and won't stick you 20% in the process. read more

I wanted to renovate but had to do it on a budget. I went to a number of places before deciding on Lumber Liquidators in Austin, TX. While I did not purchase the Bellawood cherry, that is the Cons. Repts. Highest rated wood. This is a busy, busy store on weekends, so you do often have to wait, but I have never been greeted less than cheerily by at least one of the staff. I have had to call and was handled throughly and well. I shopped there a number of times since making such an expensive decision was a big deal for me. In fact, I so appreciated how they consistently treated me (I think they get to know those who come in over and over and weave and waffle in what they want!), I even called them back to thank them and commend them for their great service. I want to do so here ,as well, since maybe it will help someone else. I did use my own installer, so cannot comment on their installer quality (I did call for a quote but did better locally, they were $2.50 a square foot), but found the wood prices to be better than anywhere else, with a wide variety of woods available. If you are a bargain hunter, you will often find great single lots at unbelievable prices. While all of the people I spoke with were wonderfully pleasant and helpful, I particularly liked working with Kyle. I underordered by mistake (totally my error) and ended up mid job without the wood I needed: he helped me locate it in two different stores (I needed both stores' quantity since neither had the 300 sq ft I was short) and he even brought it back from one of the stores that he was temporarily working at, saving me three hours of driving and gas expense. I am thrilled with the quality of the wood, my installer even commented that it was top quality and installed well. I experienced almost zero waste! Some installers will tell you to order 10% more, the LL staff said 5% should be fine for wood, and so I ordered the 5%: on 900 sq feet, that is about 45 sq feet, and I have almost 40 of it left! That alone was a big time and annoyance saver, since I would not have been too happy had I overbought, at the very least, taking it back is heavy work to load, etc, as I do not have anyone to help me with that. So, I think you will be well served to purchase here. If you go during the week, it will be much more easy to get attention, but you do need to know that it is a volume shop and if you go on a Saturday, you will likely wait up to half an hour. Fortunately, that gives you plenty of time to look at everything and educate yourself with some of the charts they have in the store explaining the wood hardnesses. And when you do get their help, they are patient and work with you, do not make you feel they are trying to get a quick sale and shuffle you out the door...in all my visits, I was never made to feel rushed or not listened to . There are lots of places that you can be waited on immediately, but their prices are nowhere near these. LL also offers long term financing, every so often they have a 24 month deal, which is a great way to purchase. I hope this review helps you have a realistic view of this store, and contributes to an enjoyable renovation for anyone who chooses Lumber Liquidators in Austin! read more

The flooring quality was fine. Unfortunately, the company they referred to us for installation did a poor job and left behind damaged walls and an unfinished job. When I tried to follow the process for warranty work and having the issues resolved. I got nothing but a run around and could not get anyone to call me back, even after multiple messages and having complete all the paperwork and submitted pictures they requested. I got a great deal on the laminate which is 12mm, not the el cheapo stuff I saw at "other places" for 99 cents. Beautiful colors and good quality is what I saw at LL. I really don't want to even give them a star. No star more like it. I was the only customer there. The lady associate inside was very courteous but the worker that brought my order out to my car in the back must be the most unpleasant soul in Austin. Rude, temper-mental and aggressive. One word to sum him up.. Neanderthal. I paid for one box of wood and he brings out an opened box and slides it in my car. When I asked why it was an open box and did they not have a closed one he walked away and left me waiting for ten minutes. When he came back he replied that was the only box he had. More series of questions back and forth and he each time he would just turn around and leave me for 10 to 15 minutes. When I finally said "since it's an open item shouldn't I get a discount" he replied "absolutely not" and tried to take the box out of my car. I put my hands on the box he then shoved me back and started to wrestle with me. I walked back inside to ask for a refund and he comes inside, stands right next to me and starts provoking me to go outside and fight with him. Out of respect to tax payers money I did not call the cops. I got my money back and left. read more

I wouldn't trust these guys, especially when it comes to their installers. They measured incorrectly and were unable to finish the job during the original install dates. I had to wait a month before they could fit me into their schedule. This happened because they paid the install contractor before the job was finished. Which they assured me would not happen...and it did! Everyone knows that once a contractor has been paid and moves on it's almost impossible to get them back to a job. What a bunch of liars. I will tell everyone about te horrible service I received and the despicable way they run their install business. read more

I wish I had read these reviews before I fell for their reasonable prices and A+ rating with BBB. They wanted full payment up front; I used their installers and they did a lousy job. The flooring warped; They did nothing about it until I withheld $$ on my credit card; The had me file a lengthy complaint and sent out two separate inspectors. It took them three months to deny my claim based on distorted facts and lies. I replaced the flooring because my water filter ruptured and flooded my home. The new flooring looks worse than the flooring I replaced. To make matters worse, they removed a sample of the new flooring for testing, and I now have a hole in my living room floor. There is nothing professional or ethical about the way we were treated. read more

Originally, I was just looking to somehow cover 6 split level stairs that I had removed carpet and padding from. I was a complete newbie and Josh, a store manager, took tons of time and explained just about every conceivable option to me. Still undecided, I went to the south store (Wm. Cannon @ I-35). "Will" showed me a great odd lot deal on 1/2"X 4" inch acacia engineered wood, but I had to buy the whole 150 sq ft lot. It was a great price ($1.49 sq ft. down from $4.00 sq ft. but what the hell was I going to do with all the extra? Answer: throw it on a big wall in my great room. The acacia wood made for a very cool contemporary yet at the same time kind of rustic on the 8'X 9" ft wall... just check the pic. Anyway, big thanks and kudos to all that made it happen in both stores They were even very cool about giving me a no hassle refund for unused extra supplies and tools. Our experience was a bad one with the Austin Lumber Liquidators office. We purchased stranded bamboo hardwood flooring from the Austin LL office, and paid to have their staff install this flooring which was marketed as being very durable and long lasting. During the warranty period, some of the flooring buckled and was spongy, and we had the Austin LL rep examine the flooring. He stated that this was a normal flex. Later the flooring buckled more, and we contacted the Corporate LL office by both phone, and then by using the LL Complaint form. Our request for an examination of the installation of the flooring, and condition of the flooring was denied. We then went to the Austin LL office to ask that an Austin LL rep examine the flooring. The manager did not even have the courtesy of discussing the subject with me, but rather had a floor sales rep tell us that they would neither do any repair of the flooring nor would they examine the flooring had our home. We found that the quality of the flooring was not what we had expected, nor the installation by the company satisfactory, and we especially found the customer service provided to be extremely poor. We would not recommend this company to anyone, and would rate them a one star. read more
