Workers at the location not wearing masks!!!!!!!! COVID laws being broken, no markers to regulate people, everyone standing near the front Counter bunched up together.. Customers were all over me as I'm trying to purchase floors, I'd say there was about 35 people packed into this little store.. the place was A MESS! I'm talking it hasn't been cleaned in months dirty masks all over the floor, tissues and cans and bottles.. Why is this store even open while we are in a pandemic, it looks like Covid originated from this place.. disgusting.... I feel as if this place doesn't realize we are in a pandemic.. We went here to get flooring for our house. FYI, this place can tend to be very busy on weekends....so if you have alot of questions you may need to wait a bit. We gave them our measurements and they told us how much flooring and underlayment we needed. When we were finished with our floor we did have some extra....including some unopened stuff and as long as it was returned within 30 days they will refund you. We did bring our extra back and it was returned no questions asked. The guys there were very helpful and gave us some good tips. I would go back and refer people to them. Plus my floors look beautiful! read more

Wow crappiest customer service ever! 3 weeks ago had an estimator come to our house and they promise us to have a quote with a room by room breakdown. Got a call back a week later and no room by room breakdown, I asked for the room by room breakdown and they said they needed to contact their 3rd party for the quote. I called back to see if they had our quote back, they said no. Still today no call back to this day! read more

As far as customer service goes it was excellent. They had a floor that was discontinued and I couldn't find enough in the New Haven area. Originally I was working with the Milford store but Hartford ended up having everything I needed to complete my flooring project.. Dave was able to locate the material and communicate with the Milford store and gave a great price since several boxes were missing a piece or two. He even arranged for a transition strip to be sent directly to my home. He also helped load the material right into my truck! Dave also answered a few questions I had about underlayment and vapor barriers that I was not aware of. I've seen several negative reviews due to the location of the building and how the exterior needed some cleaning. Three employees were removing pallets and debris as I was about to leave. Several others were helping customers and retrieving material from the warehouse. Overall everything seemed organized. I cannot give this a five star review yet since I have not installed the floor so I cannot comment on quality of the material. If all goes well with this floor I will definitely visit this location in the future! read more

Well, we are doing a renovation on our Kitchen and visited the Hartford location. On entering they seem under staffed and had to wait a while. When I asked about the reports of toxic flooring on 60 minutes they were overly sensitive and never had a complete answer. They have a huge selection and We found something that fits with iur 1750's farm house. When the flooring arrived a few weeks later I went to pickup. Again totally under staffed. You would think they would have mire than two people on a Saturday. I called ahead and still had to wait 60 minutes to get my flooring. Really bad! Its unbelievable you would thinl they would be more organized. Never again! read more

I wanted to purchase some flooring and after going to Lowe's/Home Depot I was totally disappointed with their employees not know their products. So, i decided to go to Lumber Liquidators in Hartford. To my surprise they had someone there that not only knew their products but, was very helpful and assisted me in picking the right flooring for the job. The sale person's name is David. David took his time and help me with everything i needed. Being a female and not knowing anything about flooring can be a challenge. But, thanks to David for being patient, knowledgeable and polite. We went into Lumber Liquidators trying to compare quotes against Home Depot and another competitor. The staff was very friendly and there main installer was also onsite to talk to us and set up an appointment to make an estimate. Once they were able to find my measurements from the installers and quote me it was easy to purchase our wood. One recommendation would be for them to come up with some better way to organize emails though b/c it probably took them 5+ mins each time we talked to try to find emails and quotes. Overall they were 1/2 the cost (materials and installation) than the two other quotes we got! read more

I stopped in LL Mid November and they gave me an estimate at the store for 2.50 to 3.50 per square foot for Glue down Vinyl Plank Flooring. My project is 175 square feet, adding scrap would be 198 square feet. Two weeks ago I had an estimator come to my home and estimate an installation cost for Glue down Vinyl Plank flooring. I was told to call in 48 hours to get my estimate. I called and they did not have the quote, it was not finished since they did not know what I was purchasing even though I told them twice. They said it would be around 1,278.00. When I asked what happened to the between 2.50 and 3.50 per square foot price they said oh, I'm sorry it will be around 827.00. Math says this is still not the 2.50, 3.50 per square I was told, But I still needed to call back. I call back again, now the estimate is 1600.00. Do not do business with this company. 1st the estimators are NOT employed by LL they are contracted. 2nd their installers are also contracted. No communication between the 3. Do yourself a favor hire your own contractor and save yourself a ton of aggravation as well as getting a better price since you don't have to pay all the upcharges for the different companies LL hires to do measuring and installing your floor. read more

I came here at the referral of a friend. They have some nice floors at fair prices. Picking up the flooring was a bit of a wait but it was because some of the flooring had been damaged. They gave us four boxes of damaged flooring but also four (free) boxes of undamaged flooring. Only catch is we can't return any extra because they gave us the four free boxes. But, we should have more than enough and then some, so I can't complain. Haven't laid the flooring yet so we'll see how it goes! read more

Went to Lumber Liquidators in Hartford after finding they were one of the few locations ok CT that actually had the type of flooring I wanted in stock. I arrived and was waited on rather quickly, less than 5 mins, and I told the salesman what I wanted. He rang me out and the total was 1200. He then told me that someone would meet me at the loading dock with the flooring. Bear in mind the loading dock is next to the entrance door. I walked up to the loading dock and I was immediately yelled at saying "go wait in your car" by a worker in the warehouse. I waited in my car and watched the 3 warehouse workers horseplay for 15 mins. I then went back inside and spoke with desk clerk and informed him I was still waiting and it didnt appear anyone was loading me. He then went in the back and I returned to my truck. After another 15 mins, the workers managed to gather the 14 boxes of hardwood flooring. The forklift operator was extremely rude and yelled "Move your truck over there" which was literally 10 feet away in the parking lot. The forklift guy could see I was frustrated with the level of customer service I was getting and he said "how about I just go back inside and you can load it yourself." The staff at this location does not care about customers or sales. They treat customers like trash. read more

lumber liquidators uses great 3rd party installers. I would hire these 3rd party installers anyday. However, i will NEVER work with lumber liquidators ever again in my life. Terrible service, terrible communication, and oh yeah when the job was 60% complete they called me to say "we messed up your order, and if you want the job to be finished today you owe us $700". Totally unapologetic, unsympathetic and unwilling to admit that they dropped the ball. Go with someone else like a start up or an independent mom and pop shop. Dont go with these bozos. like i said, the install itself was perfect and the 3rd party installers were professional and exceptional. But the lumber liquidators office staff were literally the worst. We have been looking for flooring for our master bedroom. Thought we would look at Lumber Liquidators to see what they had available. I've been on their website several time to see their product and hours during this crazy COVOID time. Nowhere does it say we needed to make an appointment. We took a ride to Lumber Liquidators, when my husband approached the door to enter an employee approached the door looked out at him locked the door and walked away. At minimum she could have spoke with him through the door to ask if he had an appointment or that we needed an appointment. Just locked the door in his face and walked away. This was so rude and they clearly do not care about customer service. I would not recommend this business. read more

Went there multiple times when picking out my new floors. The sales team was always short and not very interested in providing assistance or guidance in picking out floors and backings. More than half of the stair treads I purchased were dented, scratched or had large knots in them. I had to make multiple trips back to return damaged treads. The flooring was also less than desirable quality wise. Many of the boards were warped, chipped, cracked, significantly discolored, and filled with worm holes. Overall, more than 20% of the wood was unusable. read more

I went to Lumber Liquidators to get Flooring for a rec room that I am in the process of refinishing. I went to the store in Hartford, CT. The first gentleman that waited on me was very nice. He gave me a price for the flooring that I selected which he stated was negotiable following a visit to my home for measurements. I called the store 2 days later to make an appointment with an installer. While on the phone, I asked a second salesman about the price of the flooring I had selected. The original quote was for the price of the flooring + $1.98 square foot for labor. This particular salesperson gave me a quote of $2.98 square foot for labor. When I told him of the original quote he said that he needed a price to work with so that he could later negotiate down. HUH??? When I stayed firm on the $1.98/square foot in my written quote, it came to $760, he said it would be $800. I said my figures were different at $760. He responded by saying his math wasn't very good and he would have to round it off to $800. I let that go. Then came the time for the installer to come to my home. Shortly before the first visit the installer cancelled saying he had some big job that had to be completed. I made a second appointment (what's wrong with me??) and tonight the installer called to say he would have to reschedule. Well... I finally came to my senses and called customer service. Since Lumber Liquidators charges $25 for someone to come to your home (Does anyone else do that??), I asked for a refund. YOU BE THE JUDGE!!! I've always been told I have great patience.
