Family favorite dim sum spot for almost 10 years! We love coming here for weekend dim sum and occasionally dinner. Their fried dim sum dishes are great! Also, after 11:00am, the kitchen opens so you can order any rice, noodles, and other main dish items to go with your dim sum. Our favorite dim sum items include: - Taro with salted egg yolk bun(?) - Fried shrimp rolls (ha tiew) - Fried shrimp wrapped in bean curd And our favorite main dishes: - lobster fried sticky rice (they make it the best here!) - peking pork chops - honey walnut shrimp - fried small fish (shown in picture, not sure of name) You can't go wrong if you come here for dim sum or dinner. Plus, I feel like they're always open even in inclement weather. Other tips: There is a small parking lot in the back, but we usually do street parking as their parking lot is hard to get in/out of! If you come on the weekends, try to come before 11:30am to guarantee a table without a wait.
Pros: - food came pretty quick - service was better than most Chinese restaurants - I absolutely love the turnip cake (lo bak go) from here, they always put a lot of turnip in it Cons: - the vermicelli dish I got literally tasted like oil even with the minced beef gravy/sauce Comments: - went around 2:30PM, so dim sum was ending, the dim sum on the cart was pretty cold - as it was pretty empty around this time, it was relatively quiet but when it's packed it can get very loud but feels lively. Feels like your typical Chinese restaurant/dim sum place
This neighborhood family style Chinese restaurant is a hit or miss. This has been my parents' go to spot since High Pearl changed ownership earlier this year. We have dined during weekday lunch and family birthday dinners. Personal favorites: Beef Chow Fun Pan fried noodles with chicken Pan fried noodles with seafood Snow Pea leaves Baked Chicken Service can be unpredictable because there were moments where people got the wrong dish or the server forgot about their dish. We will be back and hopefully we will try the fish and steak.
Best Chinese places are rated 3-3.5 (separate topic). I'll go on a limb and give this place a 5 rating. Here's why. Smaller dining room (big enough for diners, but it ensures freshness of dishes), excellent execution on each dim sum plate (we didn't find one false note,and we do dimsum often), super authentic (they have HK in their name), spot on service (dish changes, refill tea) we really enjoyed this place. Parking in back is a plus. We were referred to this place from our Cantonese family members. Not reviewing takeout or dinner, this place does dimsum well. It's worth the drive from downtown flushing. We will be back.
The popular next door neighbor dim sum place is closing half hour earlier so we opted to enjoy the remaining hour of this place. We luckily got seated in 5 minutes . Unfortunately for the remaining hour , one of the carts which has its porridge, meat and the like does not carry much. We settled for the remaining carts that has the bao, shumai , friend stuff and desserts. It still filling though what we had for late lunch. Tea is no longer free nowadays , a $2 charge for each and don't offer til you asked. The place is descent and what it offers for dim sum time is just alright. Nothing extravagant to boost about. We will try their regular meal on our our next visit. My husband is a bit disappointed with the parking lot, it is full and he had no choice but to look on the street. It's quit a busy weekend so when visited in the future, try a weekday.
2026 Aug 1:food is not consistently hot- the century egg porridge is very hot and comes with sliced pork, the Joy Chai Jiso is not warm at all. Cha Cui sou is pretty good - the bread flakes easily and is very nice. Carrot cake is not house made and not as good as those from the restaurant next door.
Great Chinese restaurant in Little Neck! They have Dim Sum as well as family style options. We have tried both and both are recommended. The food portions are pretty large, especially with family style dinner entrees. And the dishes taste good as well. I really like their Clay Pot dishes and the Chicken with Veggies which was very tender. They also have a Chef Special soup that we have been looking forward to trying, but they often sell out of it. I liked their fruit and pumpkin/taro dessert at the end of dinner. The space is large and there is decent room between tables, and you don't get as cramped as other Dim Sum restaurants like in Flushing. Also, the decor and look is pretty nice compared to other similar restaurants. Parking can be a bit difficult even though they have a parking lot in the back, because it usually gets packed pretty quickly. Otherwise, you have to do metered street parking.
We were craving for dim sum so we decided to go to this area, our original intention was to go to a neighboring restaurant of this joint but it was fully booked, so we decided to go to this Cantonese restaurant instead as there are a few available seats left. They have a small parking lot for costumers at the back, street parking is a little challenging. Walking in to the restaurant, I noticed that the atmosphere was sleek, modern and has an upscale decor. We were seated to a table for two which was nice and comfortable, the place was packed with people, staff were busy busing food in carts for costumers. There was that delightful ruckus and organized atmosphere of costumers asking for the dim sum that they want, the attentive and friendly staff food busing and the costumers conversing with their family or relative while enjoying their meals. Harmony in chaos. The cuisine is authentic and delicious. We enjoyed their steamed BBQ pork buns, shrimp dumplings, pork shumai, steamed salty egg yolk cream buns, steamed fish balls, steamed beef balls and steamed fresh egg yolk buns. I specially like how they decorate their steamed buns, made them to look like mini pigs or minions, cute and adorable. The food was fresh, flavorful and not greasy. The staff were helpful, attentive and welcoming. Dim sum price is fair making it a good value for families and groups. I earlier looked at the menu and noticed that there are some dishes that are slightly pricey. Their Dim sum menu are available from 10 AM to 3 PM. Our food experience in this spot was good.
I always wanted to try this restaurant but was somehow steered somewhere else. I finally gave it a try and went back a second time. It was that good. We usually opt for the restaurant next door but ever since the change in management some time ago, their service has been terrible so we started exploring other restaurants. Little did I know that the gem next door called LN 1380 would be my next Go-To. Both times I came it was during the holidays but got seated right away which was surprising because it looked really busy. The servers were great and the dishes were delicious. We ordered Salt and pepper squid, Fried tofu with shrimp paste, Honey walnut shrimp, Braised beef stew and Lemongrass porkchops. Everything was great but the lemongrass porkchops especially stood out to me. It makes my mouth salivate thinking about it. The wok hei and the lemongrass flavor of the pork chops, with the punch of saltiness, pair amazingly with white rice. Every bite kept getting better and better. If it wasnt for the family style, I would eat the entire plate of it. As someone who usually gets Salt and pepper pork chops, it was refreshing to have a new pork chop dish to add to the top favorites list. Please give it a try! Definitely plan on coming back to check out their dimsum. Overall I really recommend this restaurant for a family style Cantonese meal.
I wonder why this local dim sum spot has bad reviews. We came in at 1pm on a Saturday and were seated super quickly. The ladies and the carts were everywhere. We got a whole bunch of dishes and tea for less than $60. Everything was so fresh and hot. My personal favorite was the eggplant and shrimp, but honestly the shrimp rice rolls came close. Chicken feet were soft and had good sauce and the shrimp dumplings were great. Only thing that was ok was the black pepper short ribs - too much black pepper but we still ate it. Who knew you didn't have to go to Flushing or Chinatown for some great dim sum!
After we watched the Buffalo Sabres shut out the Islanders recently, our group decided to drown our sorrows in Chinese food. Vito D in our group recommended LN1380HK in Little Neck, Queens. What it lacks in name it makes up in cuisine! I am a lifelong Chinese food connoisseur, and have even eaten my way through Hong Kong. This restaurant gets 5 stars from me and our group of six! The Hot and Sour Soup was one of the best I have ever had! The Pan Fried Rack of Lamb was superb! The House Special Walnut Shrimp was indeed quite special! New for me was the Sautéed Snow Pea Leaf with Fresh Garlic was fantastic, as was the Chicken Fried Rice. The Pan Fried Noodles with Seafood was also a treat with luxuriant chunks of calamari and shrimp! The Roast chicken was tasty and amazing!! The restaurant itself is well lit and spotless! The service was good and suggested what we should have on a couple of our choices. Thank you to Vito and his Wife Aura for this delicious suggestion!
Happened to stop in here for lunch and it was a little over whelming at first they just start trying bully you with random dishes you have no idea what it is. The service was okay and ambiance was nice. Not sure if I will be back here. The fried rice was bland. The chow fun was decent not very flavorful.
Great dimsum find! In comparison to spots Flushing, I appreciated not having a long wait. Came in on a Saturday around 11:30p and was seated immediately. I stuck to typical items: Shumai was okay - juicy but rather bland. Hargow was excellent - wrappers were thick but held the shrimp well, which was not overcooked at all. The shrimp rice noodle roll tasted a bit rubbery. It was otherwise flavored well. The taro with minced meat was definitely my favorite - meat was well marinated, taro cut the flavors, and it was not too oily. Got a few egg tarts as a palate cleanse which I liked as well! Tea was charged on our bill twice (only $1 so not a huge deal) but everything was so affordable, I really couldn't complain. Will be back! A note on parking: the lot behind the restaurant is SMALL. Off street parking might be your best bet if you come during a peak time.

Wow, this is the first dim sum restaurant in New York which serve cute dim sum. Look at my pictures. They look cute and they taste good too. Yes, a bit pricey but they are cute. The restaurant is very clean, modern, quite different from normal Chinese dim sum restaurant. The only complaint is only 2 bathrooms. Siu mai is really good here but beef ball is not. read more
This is a good dim sum alternative away from the hustle and bustle of flushing. They offer parking in the rear and spacious seating. The decor is like any other dim sum place. What I have an issue with is the food. The chef came out and literally shoved the large tray of food against the dim sum lady's back. Talk about unprofessional and scary cleanliness habits. I don't really want my food touching anyone else. Do you?!?! Also most of the regular dishes (pork spare ribs, lotus leaf stuffed rice, roast pork rice roll) was definitely lacking a lot of seasoning. Portions seem a tad bigger but definitely more expensive than flushing. The only thing I appreciated was the cute buns! The green tea buns were so good. I would come back just for that. There are so many other dim sum places that taste way better. Go elsewhere! read more
Great dim sum! Very authentic! Large fresh shrimp in Har Gow. Rice noodles are soft and well made. Chinese broccoli are well prepared with peeled off skin on stems. Congee with baby Oyster and cilantro tasty with perfect consistency. All dim sum dishes was not overly greasy. Services very attentive! read more
This dimsum place is a really decent option if you don't want to venture out into crowded downtown Flushing. Yes, the prices are a bit more expensive, but you save time on traveling and parking. They have a private valet lot, but you're better off finding free parking in the neighborhood a couple blocks away. They have fun character dishes that make it fun for kids, but the taste is not all that bad! I don't think LN1380 falls short of all the other popular dimsum places in Flushing. If anything, it's cleaner and more convenient. I've read reviews complaining about the service, but it's been fine both times I've went. I don't speak Chinese, but the ladies always make sure to go out of their way to get me my tripe, intestines, and long flat shrimp noodles lol. Save yourself the congestion of Flushing, and go to LN1380! read more

Very disappointed. This place used to be amazing for dim sum. Dinner was pricey but also great. Been here a bunch of times w fam. Always recommended it to friends. I come today and they served us what tasted like literal left overs from the day before or whatever. Everything was over cooked. Taste was bland and some dishes even funky. Refer to photo, you can see the sogginess and sadness of the dishes. Not a single dish had its original integrity, or texture. The noodle was ok taste wish I guess. I knew something was wrong once I picked up the eggplant and it just disintegrated in my chopsticks lol. I get it's COVID time. Times are rough for all, but dam to serve this food is kinda shameless. I tolerated and ate it, yes I told the server and she told the manager. Dude brought me my check without even a word, eye contact. no acknowledgment. Scumbag lol. Server was genuine and nice enough to give us some sesame balls on the house. She wasn't even surprised lol in fact she was ready for it. I don't think I'll ever come back. Sad this place was great at one point. read more

It is likely they hire ppl to give excellent review I went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday Things that made me mad : 1) I tried to order - chicken ( Sorry no chicken) Ok - oyster then ( Oops, we didn't have oyster ) fine ! - Frog leg then ( Err.. No frog ) WTF! 2 ) ordered hot and sour soup ( didn't come) Ended up I ate a sweet and sour pork dish and a veggie dish for bday dinner !!!!!!!! Funny thing - when I complained to the boss , he walked away .. I guess this is the service that they can provide Luckily - there is another Chinese restaurant right next to it . Great place for dim sum. If you come on weekends you'll probably have to wait. If you come on weekdays, you can likely get seated immediately, and you just check what you want from a menu and they bring it over to you in a dim sum dish. They serve pig shaped buns, which many people love simply because of its appearance. On the bright side, it tastes great too - sweet on the inside, like custard. There are also egg yolk buns, which only some people will like - I personally don't but the buns are cute as well. The food here is great, and much better than many dim sum places in Flushing. You can order other dishes besides Dim Sum and they don't cheat you of ingredients. For instance, if you order stir fried noodles, expect it to come with lots of ingredients! They don't skimp, and also the bathrooms are very clean which is always appreciated. read more

Heard rumors of a new Dim Sum / Canto Restaurant opening away from Flushing! I must say I was quite impressed with the quality of the food. I have personally been here 3 times already and can give you a much better feedback now (Sorry for the delay). First Trip here was a Sunday for Dim Sum: Grand Opening. I came around 10:30-11:00 and there was no waiting. Dim Sum was served when you check off a small 3x6 piece of paper. Most of the food came out fairly quickly in the beginning but as the place started filling up you saw the service slow down a bit. We had pretty much all the basic food and I feel the quality of the food is better than most dim sum spots in flushing. I really enjoyed the egg tart and spareribs (i like a hint of sweet) like how they made it. Shrimp Hargow was good and skin was not thick and the chicken feet is almost off bone and flavorful. I personally feel the flavor is better here versus Northern Manor and willing to pay that 10% difference in price. Second trip here was dinner on a Thursday Night. Our grandma wanted to have dinner out and she didn't want to trek to flushing so I thought of this place. I can say the service was very good and the dishes came out at a greatly timed pace. I really enjoyed the Eel as it was by far one of my favorite dishes. Fried Intestines were good and tasted just as good or maybe better than the ones in flushing. Third Trip here was dinner on Saturday with a few friends. We made a reservation around 6:30 and the place was half full when we sat down. We had this Tofu dish and it was very good and snails tasted similar to the one at Lake Pavilion. We had this Canto Lobster (Not the Scallion and Ginger) and it was by far one of my favorite dish. Fried Crispy Chicken was nice and brown. As we were finishing up our 5th dish we noticed a line forming and every table was filled up. Tea and water refilling took awhile near the end of our meal. We asked one of the managers for a check since the waiter was no where to be found and they apologized for the delay since they had to lay off a few of the staff (Wonder if it was for the dirty plate and utensils) from another yelper. Overall I enjoy the quality of the food and suggest coming on a weekday or weeknight or try coming earlier before the crowd gets in on the weekend (if you can of course). I give them a 5 star since I feel they are trying and I have had pretty good experience here compared to some others. I am local and enjoy a shorter drive from the flushing as I simply don't want to pay for parking anymore. Dinner is priced very well being located in Little Neck. Dim Sum can be a bit more then the neighbor but you get what you pay. Chow. read more
Dimsum in a convenient location! I came here to meetup with a group of friends that live in the area and this restaurant was easily accessible by the Q12 bus from Flushing. The food was good and the service was great too. My favorite dishes were the fried crullers wrapped in rice noodle and also the chicken feet! While the prices are a little higher than regular dimsim places, the food is freshly served and comes out once you order. I would come back again the next time I'm in the area! read more

This place is extremely horrible. Got to sit at the waiting area. Always got people standing on your table while you eating. Not to mention that this place is horrible that you don't have any food coming to you for more than 10 minutes. Answer from the waitress is the kitchen is not prepared for this. Customer service is not available right here. I understand they might be shirt of stuff. 2 of the plate out of 4 is dirty. Got attitude when we ask for new plate. Btw, he don't have patient to listen to what you asking for. We try to ask for hot sauce and mustard and water, he already step away after I said hot sauce and mustard and only come back with hot sauce. We've been her for dimsum and for dinner. Reminds me of restaurants in Hong Kong. The food is very good and Very presentable - just check out my pics! Fair prices for Long Island. Kids loved it. My favorite is the lamb chops. So flavorful! The decor/restaurant is new, modern, very clean, very comfortable, and again, very presentable. By far nicer than any other Cantonese style restaurant I've been to in queens or Long Island. There is parking in the rear, but when I went on Sunday afternoon for dimsum, nothing was available. The interior is very contemporary and comfortable. It accommodates large crowds as well as small ones. Great place for family dining or just dates. The customer service was very on point. They accommodated every need that we had. Wait staff even gave me a charging cable for my phone and the food came out super fast but fresh. The prices were extremely reasonable considering the large portions given. We ordered pineapple Seafood fried rice, fresh bass, sauteed vegetables, garlic chicken, stir-fried Lobster, and chow mein. All the dishes we're very delicious. Menu was very very authentic. All the flavors were well integrated into the dishes giving customers a complex Taste of authentic Chinese food. I would highly recommend this place or people who have a craving for Chinese food... I will be returning. read more

I've been hearing nothing but good things about this place from my friends and finally decided to give it a try. Street park was a bit hard when we went on a Sunday night, luckily our friend told us there is a parking lot in the rear, the parking sign was a bit hidden. We waited about 25 mins to be seated since the place was packed. We ordered the Curry Crab, a Salted Egg Lobster and Wasabi Fried Rice. The Curry Crab was by far the best we had. Last time we had something like this was back in my country. The dish were flavorful and the sauce Is a perfect combo to go with the rice that we ordered. We got a 2lbs lobster, we never had Salted Egg Lobster, and decided to give it a try. This is not your ordinary Ginger and Scallion Lobster. The lobster was juicy not over cooked/stir fired. The Salted Egg hugged on to every piece of the lobster. It was a total different experience. The Wasabi Fried Rice was recommended by the waitress. It has a hint of wasabi kick in the rice. Different but expected. But with the sauce from the crab it was off the hood.... Yummm. We have a great date night experience here and will definitely come back again soon! My go to place for dim sum, employees are friendly and there food is delicious. Definitely, try there cartoon bun and there chick fried pork dumpling. The only drawback is: hard to find street parking. So beware, you may have to park around the block. There valet parking is small. read more

Stopped by this Cantonese style restaurant while visiting relatives in Long Island. We got there at around 3pm, towards the end of dim sum. We we're a party of 6 and were seated right away. The decor was very nice compared to the usual tacky "red and gold colored everything" type of Chinese restaurants. This is much more modern and contemporary. They have some nice booth style seating that the kids liked. We went during a off peak time so it wasn't overly crowded. They still had a good amount of dim sum carts being pushed around. Apparently they have cart service dim sum on Friday-Sunday and the rest of the week is checklist style dim sum. We had the chicken feet, beef ribs, pork buns, salted egg yolk buns, sticky rice, beef tripe, shrimp rice rolls (churn fun), and fried Kruller rice rolls. All the items were on par with most NYC places I have had dim sum at. I especially liked the chicken feet, it wasn't overly salty like a lot of places make them. We also ordered a dinner dishes from their menu. We are Chinese speaking so it was easier to ask for any specials they had that weren't on the menu. The manager recommended the "Egg yolk style" Dungeness crab and the Pan seared Foie Gras. Both were not on the menu. I was surprised they had foie gras because I've never had that at a Chinese restaurant before. It was delicious! We also ordered Fried frog legs and the Peking pork chop. The specials were very good but the Peking pork chop was a little soggy and not really good at all. Overall, I liked the place and will definitely go back when I visit my family in this neck of the woods again. read more

I popped in for a solo lunch. The menu was quite diverse, and equally extensive. I was in the mood for pan fried noodles. After about 10 minutes a massive plate came out. They were quite good, and my server was very professional. I'll expand on my review when we go back as I was so stuffed and only 1/3 through my dish, when I tapped out. There were quite a few dishes of interest. I would have ordered if I had some company, and help to eat them. Next time. On a side, not much of the help speak English :(. read more
