Worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood! This place is much better than the last dim sum place that was in this spot. Tried many different dim sum dishes. I would rate them from good to great. Surprisingly the best was shrimp with bacon. Done better than any other place I've tried. Hopefully they don't change the recipe. Five stars! Shu mai were done well. Would be even better with a few more mushrooms inside the filling. Shrimp dumpling could be better. Skin should be more delicate. Customer service was excellent! Kudos to all the waiters, cart ladies and front manager. Everyone was friendly and very helpful! I was trying to pass by a cart to get to the bathroom. A nice cart lady noticed and told me to be very careful because the carts can be very hot. As we were leaving, a waiter and manager, thanked us for coming and hoped we enjoyed the food. Hope everyone gets tipped well. They deserve it for excellent service! Pay cash and get discount. Plenty of parking since it's in a mall shopping area.

We were far too late for the Dim Sum brunch, but just in time for a good Chinese dinner with family. We grabbed a big table for five and spread out to allow room for our five platter supper. Beijing Pork Chops were excellently meaty with a wonderful semi sweet red amber sauce. There were at least a dozen beauties. Beef Fillets in a Hunan-like black bean reduction had great flavor and plenty of onion and green/red pepper slivers sautéed in the bottom the deep plate offering a little vegetable relief. Crisp Fried Salt & Pepper Calamari were a crunchy alternative to the meat and an enjoyable respite from the heat on the other plates. Golden Szechuan style fish in a deep bowl of star peppers, black pepper balls and small red chilis relit the fire on our lips and tongues and reminded that in Chengdu numb is a flavor. Finally, their House Special Fried Rice mixed in whatever was chopped small enough to interact with the freshly steamed and then wokked white rice, was provided to help absorb the hot oil coating our throats and offer a bit of first aid. The house served each of us sweet hot red bean dessert, leaving us with a mild gentle sweetness after all the various intense flavors we had so recently consumed . A very satisfying and worthwhile meal. The kitchen earned a solid reputation this night. Four Exemplary Stars. We'll save the fifth for our exploration of the Garden's actual dim sum.

When you dine in they will bring some sliced watermelon, water and rice crackers to the table to start your experience. I ordered a number of different dishes to get a feel for the place, as well as feed the family. The order: walovi/Wanglaoji (can of tea served cold) Scallion Pancakes, Lychee Shrimp Balls, Beef Soup with hand pulled noodles, special dumplings, Mashed Cucumber salad, sausage, and stir fried beef noodles. Overall the food was amazing 9.5/10 The entire meal was delicious, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the dishes full of flavor. The Leychee shrimp balls were excellent, the mashed cucumber salad was refreshing and full of flavor. All the dishes were seasoned well, the special dumplings were a little over seasoned and thus the 9.5 instead of a perfect 10. The tea was refreshing and not overly sweet it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal.

The wonton soup was decent......wontons were very good but the broth however was a bit bland. Roast pork fried rice was pretty good.....a little dry and skimpy on the pork but the flavor was more than adequate. Hot and sour soup was really tasty with a good bit of spice. Scallion bubble pancake was very light and tasty. The Emperor cabbage appetizer was probably my favorite meal item.....crispy cabbage tossed in a peanuty garlic sauce with honey. It was served cold (which usually I'm not a big fan of, but this was an exception) and had a great flavor. Pork belly appetizer tasted very good but it wasn't crispy (which would have made it so much better) and the buns they were served with didn't taste completely fresh. Dan Dan noodles with ground beef was excellent.... they're served spicy and you can simply request the level of heat you prefer to fit your taste buds. Soup dumplings were of decent size and quite juicy...... unfortunately they lacked some flavor. Mongolian beef dish was excellent as was the kung pao chicken. Overall it was a pretty good meal but there was some room for improvement. The staff was very nice and it did have quite a cool "old school American Chinese restaurant" vibe from yesteryear.

It came highly recommended by friends, and it has never disappointed. The mixed soup dumplings are a must, especially the truffle and pork varieties. Everything arrived fresh, and the staff did a great job bringing out the dishes in a steady, well-paced order without making us feel rushed. It's a fantastic spot whether you're looking for a satisfying meal or a classic Asian breakfast with fresh soy milk and fried dough. I highly recommend getting there early since it fills up quickly. If the wait is too long, takeout is a great option, and there is convenient parking nearby.

We walked into a modern, spacious dining room that felt much larger than it appeared from the outside, making it a comfortable place for both small groups and larger gatherings. The room had a polished, contemporary energy with a layout that accommodated the steady flow of diners, and even though it was consistently busy, the operation ran efficiently and the atmosphere stayed lively without feeling chaotic. The soup dumplings are the clear highlight and are the reason we would recommend coming here. We ordered a few baskets and found the wrappers thin enough to hold a generous amount of rich, flavorful broth without falling apart, and the fillings well seasoned. The classic pork soup dumplings were a must-order, while the pork and crab version was another standout if we were looking for something with a little more richness. Beyond the dumplings, the menu had plenty of other Shanghainese favorites, including beef noodle soup, pan-fried pork buns, scallion pancakes, fried rice, and a variety of appetizers that made it easy to share several dishes. Each plate arrived hot and well assembled, and the consistency across the menu gave us confidence in ordering beyond the signature item. Despite how popular the restaurant is, the wait was well managed. We joined the waitlist digitally before being seated, and tables turned over fairly quickly. Once seated, the food came out at a steady pace, making it a good option even during busy lunch or dinner hours. The staff moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the flow smooth without feeling rushed. Overall, Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings lives up to its reputation. The soup dumplings are some of the best we have had, and the extensive menu makes it worth ordering beyond just the signature dish. If we are visiting Flushing, it is a restaurant that deserves a spot on the list, whether it is a first introduction to xiao long bao or we are already a fan of Shanghainese food.
