Popped in before a Suns game, an easy walk past Chase Field. It was good to get away from the usual pregame options. The place was clean and inviting, and had a little bit of a "back in time" feel without being dated. Quickly and pleasantly welcomed and seated. Then came the hard part, making choices. We had fried chicken and fried catfish, with sides of Mac and Cheese, macaroni salad (yep, Mac two ways), greens and mashed potatoes with gravy. All were great, obviously home made from longstanding recipes. Especially into the greens, which were bursting with flavor. The catfish was delish, and my wife called the fried chicken the best she ever had. Saved room for peach cobbler, which was served smoking hot. The perfect sweet end to the savory meal.
