Waitress was friendly. Took awhile to get our food and we were pretty much the ones in the restaurant. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak potatoes. Frozen chicken fried steak, over cooked, and hard. His food was not even warm enough to melt the cheese on his order. I ordered strawberry almond cheesecake crepes and sausage . I'm baffled. I often visit the one in Lawndale. As busy as they get the service is up to par every single time. I'm a generous tipper. This Gardena location left me speechless. There was only one other customer and a pick order. I'm sure you can check the cameras. Yet our food took a whooping 25 minutes to arrive. I ordered a salad before dinner it came with the food and was charged even when I complained to the waitress. Our waiter took our order and never saw again other than to fall asleep at the end table. No one came to bring us our bill so I got up and the waitress asks "did you want to pay" I looked at her in disbelief. I really liked how perfect the French toast was that day , soft and sweet without the use of syrup and so was the waffle. This place is my new go to breakfast. Locally I usually go to Steves burgers but after doing some research on google I found this place in 5 minutes searching local breakfast and it was one of the most delicious breakfasts I've had! I ordered the ranchero omelette that comes with pancakes on the side with a side of. Vanilla iced coffee. Worth every penny. Service was great we got our food in a timely manner, servers where friendly and it was overall a cool experience. Definitely coming here again for outside breakfast eating spots. read more

I was in the area after visiting a customer and was seriously in the mood for some good food!! Loaded Kitchen Cafe not only has good reviews, but the pictures that I kept seeing of a caramel apple french toast, caramel apple pancake, caramel apple everything!! I could not resist! SO I get there, walk in and its a bit awkward cause there is no one standing in the front where you enter and the counter is towards the mid/back of the restaurant. So you have a waitress getting your attention and talking to you from mid restaurant to the door asking if its for here or to go. Thankfully, there was a few tables open, cause they get crazy busy, and I got seated right away. I ordered my coffee, set up my computer and ordered a caramel apple french toast combo with bacon. The whole process took a little while cause I feel like they have one waitress for way too many tables, but I was working, so it worked out okay. They brought out the eggs, hash browns, and bacon first. The bacon looked like it was nuked, lol, like well done beyond well done, but the eggs and hash browns were good. I have to say the hash browns are actually reallllly good!! The caramel apple french toast took quite some time though, I thought at one point that they actually forgot my order cause I saw the waitress bring food to the table in front of me and they sat down like 20 minutes after I sat down. THEN she finally brought it to me!! I was so stoked!! I looked at it and started digging in and then.... realized THEY FORGOT THE CARAMEL! =o( When someone orders a CARAMEL apple french toast... It usually contains... caramel, haha!! I mentioned it to the waitress and she was apologetic and said she will be able to make a new one, but after the wait that it took just to get that dish, I declined. So she took my dish added caramel and brought it back. I have to say that it looks much more appetizing than it actually is. The apple tastes a little weird, I dont know what it is, but I was expecting a bit of an explosive apple-y, caramel-y, sugary taste (and those that know me, know how much I love sugar), but the taste just wasnt there for me. I think maybe it would be good if they added some cinnamon to this dish....?! I don't know. Loaded Kitchen Cafe is a cool restaurant that some good food and decent service. I have to say thought, for the area they are in, they probably one of the best choices you can go to!! This is my first time trying the place and I was satisfied with my initial experience. The place is smallish but learned from my very friendly server that they are moving a few doors down to a larger space with 3x the kitchen size. I've read some previous reviews about slow food service but I think it's due to their current single grill limitation. The new space will apparently have 3 grills! So the place is smallish but it was half filled when I came in mid Friday morning. The server was quick to ask and serve my coffee. Food service was prompt as well. It seems crepes are their specialty but I ordered the "basic breakfast combo" of 2 eggs, 2 bacon, hash browns and 2 pancakes. Food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. It's pretty much what you see is what you get; nothing fancy. Food portion is again nothing out of the ordinary: not something you can split with someone but you won't leave hungry either. Just right I guess. My co-worker ordered the banana crepe and it is super sweet. I don't have a sweet tooth so it wasn't for me. When I get there they said there is no order by that name and that she must have called the wrong location. I go home check her phone and it's the same phone number for the Gardena location. My wife mentioned it to my sister and she said they did the same thing to her told her she called the one in Lawndale and my sister redialed the phone number inside of the restaurant and the phone rang inside of their location. This place was nestled in a small shopping plaza, so from the outside looking in you wouldn't have guessed that the food would be so good! Their menu has so many yummy looking options from breakfast to lunch or dinner and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the veggie melt, subbed the mushrooms for onions. My favorite breakfast is the Veggie Egg melt, spinach/tomato/mushrooms with cheddar and swiss on sourdough...MMMMM my mouth is watering now...Their coffee is tasty & they make fresh juices (which I haven't tried yet). Server Ashley is just wonderful! She's always cheery & going the extra mile to make your visit special. If it weren't for the food, it would be Ashley that would bring me back. Food was great last time we came and haven't been here in a while and decided to come with my family to celebrate my husband's bday. As I walk in to put my name down, there are 2 ladies behind the register/counter. As I stand there, no one greets me or acknowledges that my daughter and I are standing there. They clearly see us, this isn't a huge restaurant, but still somehow manages to not notice us? There is a young couple paying in front of us and for some reason it takes both these ladies to help them pay... one could of stopped, ask how many in my party, give me wait time and put my name down and then continue with the other guest paying. Instead one finishes helping the customer paying, walks out from counter and literally walks past me to talk to another staff member?? A gentleman comes up behind and asks her, we have to put our name down right? She then proceeds to say yes, walks to the counter again and grabs the clip board and asks HIM how many?? All while my daughter and I ARE STILL STANDING RIGHT THERE. I then tell her excuse me but I've been waiting here, she acts dumb and says ohh ok how many? Over all the customer service here is horrible. I know we live in a time where people are a lot more selfish and rude, but if you are working in a restaurant with customers, you signed up to put on a smile and show proper hospitality even if you hate your job. About 2 months ago I went to eat to loaded cafe I went to have a good breakfast and I asked for Karen as my server and April didn't want her to serve at the moment so I had to wait until April wants to give Karen as my server. Igot upset she made me wait when Karen was ready to serve me and April kept telling the host to not sit her and was talking bad things about her. Today I went again April's attitude was horrible. I'm bad at waiting, but the food was almost worth it. I'd return to eat here, but It would have to be off peak hours. Not only did it take a long time for us to get seated, (even after two tables were cleaned and cleaned), there was no waiting area beyond four or five chairs along the window. Another family was huddled outside waiting to be seated. The precious real estate here is used for dining tables. When we finally did get seated, it was awhile before our orders were taken, and shortly thereafter, we were asked to move to accommodate a larger party. The staff were completely polite about it, and given the tiny space, and how hungry we were, it made sense for us to move - but I was well into hangry mode by that point. Having said all of that, the place was immaculate, there is something on the menu for everyone, and the portions are generous. I came with the BF and his two always-hungry and fickle teens, and we all enjoyed our food which, to be honest, wasn't mind blowing, but it was fresh and tasty. They don't have any espresso drinks, and a nice latte is something I look forward to in a breakfast place. Think of Loaded Kitchen as a tiny family run IHOP: complete with greasy spoon classics, all day breakfast, and even the assortment of fruit topped pancakes and flavored syrups that may have actually come from an IHOP, plus some local classics, like machaca & eggs and dulce de leche crepes. I'd like to give it 3 1/2 stars, but can't quite give it four, given the wait, and the coffee situation. read more

I know that this location hasn't been here for long, so I will give them another try, when they are more established. There were only 4 people in the restaurant, a gentleman reading his Sunday paper and a woman with her two small kids. I sat near the soda machine. The place is clean and bright. They were playing some great music when I was there. The menu had ample selection. Food seemed to be fresh. I decided to try the chorizo and eggs. I think maybe I chose the wrong thing. Nothing really was good about it, other than the eggs were perfectly cooked, not over cooked and not undercooked. The chorizo had no flavor. At least it wasn't greasy, I guess. The beans looked good and had the right mouthfeel, but I think they were cooked with no salt. I try not to add table salt, but that morning, I had to. I forgot to tell them no rice, so I got a strange rice pilaf type dish. It wasn't bad, but it certainly didn't complement the rest of the food on the plate. There were multiple types of hot sauces available, in addition to the little cup of salsa that was brought with the meal. Thank goodness for the sauces, as they added some much needed flavor to the food. The server was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Prices were reasonable. I was a little skeptical walking in, especially for what great reviews lead to in terms of a diner's appearance. This place definitely looks humble to the rating. Putting that aside. Their coffee is great. I had the chocolate coffee and my best friend had the coconut coffee. My god, I'd come back for that coconut coffee. We both had dollops of whip cream on top and it was just spectacular. God help them if they get a liquor license, cause I'm sure they'd make some pretty amazing morning cocktails too. Food was great. I had an omelette and hash browns, as well as the crepe. Friend had fried eggs and hash browns with some waffles. They were all pretty good.
