The good: They have a lot of daily specials that are great prices. We got the chile verde enchiladas with rice and it was under $6. It was the same size as the $18-21 enchilada plate that I got (the crunchy enchiladas). We tried the mazapan crepe with a side of scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon, and the free warm cinnamon conchas. The menu offers the classic American breakfast things but has a Mexican flare. They have all you can eat pancakes for $5-6. They also have a kids menu. The table comes set with syrup and coffee creamers. The bad: We ordered a trio flight of agua fresca but it never came. When our meal ended and we asked for the check I asked for them to remove the flight that never came and the waiter didn't apologize for it not coming. We had to flag down our waiter and walk over to him to get attention (extra fork, bill, etc). The crunchy enchiladas was more just scrambled eggs with chilaquiles on top. A knife wasn't brought to us for the crepes. The crepes were on the slightly too sweet side. The interesting: The store is more narrow and long. Went to the Lawndale location for brunch on a Saturday and the place had a quite a few patrons, but the staff got us seated in about 10 mins. So, not a long wait, and a lot of people in the restaurant is always as a good sign. I went with my daughter and we are not native Spanish speakers but the waitresses were over the top nice that they tolerated my Spanglish and they also were super-sweet to my daughter and tried to teach her some Spanish. The place is spacious and clean, welcoming and (as mentioned above), the staff is very friendly and attentive as well. There is a very large selection of food on the menu, but my daughter and I just got breakfast items. I also ordered one of there seared jalepenos (jalapenos toreados) and I added it to my machaca and, watch out, that gave it a kick but it was loaded with flavor. I wanted to bring my niece here because she loves conchas. As you are seated they bring a basket of warm Mexican bread called conchas. Coffee is good and strong, breakfast was ok. My $5.95 value breakfast came with two eggs, bacon and 2 Pancakes. They are cooked with butter so it's not served with butter... pancakes are thick and fulfilling. Kids French toast $11 was nothing special. I think their Mexican breakfasts are way better. Huge menu and our server Ramon was patient and attentive, poor guy I think he was swamped. I think they needed at least one more server to help out. Family friendly ambiance and music playing in the background. Free parking in lot and waiting area. Loaded Cafe says everything with its name - the food is LOADED up! This may be what Willy Wonka would create if he was interested in having his own breakfast restaurant. Yes, I know there are non-breakfast items on the menu, but this really is a sugar-fest spot. And I loved it all! Started with complimentary mini pan dulce that is supplied from the bakery next door, My Panecito. I absolutely recommend getting the hot horchata latte, or a standard coffee if you just must, to enjoy the pan dulce with. Nothing starts the morning off better than a hot drink & fresh pan dulce, mmm... I could not help but order the Caramel Churro Stuffed French Toast! This delicious, and possible diabetes inducing, choice was simply LOADED with sugary sweetness. The brioche bread was gently cooked to perfection and not at all soggy as I was concerned it could be. The sweet cream stuffing and caramel drizzle on top made me feel like a kid again, happily enjoying an outrageously sweet meal that my father used to treat me to on special occasions decades ago. My husband chose the Sausage Breakfast Burrito. He mentioned that the sausage to egg to hash-brown ratio was perfect. The cheddar and jack cheese added a gooey enjoyment along with the bell pepper/onion blend, encased in a perfectly browned flour tortilla. Alas, he had a classic coffee as a beverage, so no huge review from him on that point, though he seemed to enjoy it since he had two cups. I will say that the restaurant overall felt a bit "crowded" in the space. No, it wasn't the amount of patrons, but just felt as if it needed a bigger space. The staff also seemed a bit overwhelmed on that day, with our server not being available to assist a few times. Dealbreaker? Not at all. Perhaps they were just short staffed that day. Stopped in for my first time for breakfast this last week and it won't be my last. This place is known for giant portions and they really do have a great selection of American and Mexican breakfast options. It was very crowded when we stopped in Saturday morning for brunch, but the tables seem to turn quickly so we only had to wait about 5 minutes. Inside is pretty large, they have many different types of seating from tables to booth. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. One thing about this place as they have a giant menu. It will take some time to choose what you want because they honestly have a ton of options. They also have a large free parking lot attached in front so parking is really easy. For this first visit, I chose one of their most popular dishes, which was the Crunchy Asada Chilaquiles. It's basically like the other version but without beans and the egg is scrambled. The steak was pretty good, although a bit too fatty, but it was still seasoned well and overall I enjoyed it. We also ordered a Churro on the side and that too was very nice. This is more of a cheat meal kind of place, they don't have a ton of healthy options, so may not be the best for someone on a strict diet, but for others it is still worth visiting because it is honestly that good. read more

10/10--exactly what my soul needed on a Sunday. The dessert window was the first thing that caught my eye (I wanted one of everything). The place was busy but not too loud or overstimulating, which made for a really enjoyable brunch experience. This was my second time at this location, and I've been to other spots in the area, but no one beats the service here. Mayra was our server this morning and she was seriously the best! She was so attentive, kind, and accommodating the entire time. Our food came out exactly the way we ordered it, and everything was perfect. Also don't sleep on the red chilaquiles. They're literally the reason I keep coming back. They have a little spicy kick, but they're so flavorful and still stay nice and crunchy. First off, there was no wait time. We were seated right away and received our drinks while we waited. We ordered the pambazos, and the food arrived within 10 minutes pretty quick, which I appreciated. I ALWAYS look forward to coming here whenever I'm in LA, but they've made a drastic change to their pambazos. When I saw "Pambazo Sliders" on the menu, I was a little hesitant, but I still ordered them to see the difference. My honest opinion: pambazos are meant to be made with bolillo bread, not hamburger buns. For me, that change took the dish from a 10 to a 4. That's just my opinion, though others may disagree. On the positive side, the dulce de leche stuffed French toast was a solid 10/10. So delicious, especially for someone who loves anything made with lechera! The drinks were also great. Overall, everything about the experience was amazing. The service, atmosphere, and food quality. However, since I drove all the way from the Central Valley to LA, I was really looking forward to the traditional pambazo made with bolillo bread. I hope they consider bringing it back. read more

Got the Basic Combo ($14.49) and a Coffee ($4.29). Pretty good breakfast. The pancakes were fluffy. The hash browns were crispy. The bacon was thin and crispy. The eggs were nicely scrambled. The coffee was a medium roast. You also get a complimentary Concha (sweet bread). The Concha was warm and had a nice cinnamon taste. The staff was very friendly and exhibited great teamwork. Different members would refill your coffee, check on your order and clear your table. The only odd thing was sitting in the adjacent booths. If the person sitting behind you is moving a lot, you will definitely feel the thumping from the movement. LCR shares an adjacent parking lot with El Super Market. When I left LCR around 10:00 on Saturday, the parking lot was almost full. read more

It's been a few months since we last tried loaded cafe, and I'm sorry to say this place fell off hard. My pancakes were the worst pancakes I have ever tasted!!!! EVER!!! They had the worst artificial taste I've ever tasted on any product. I'll put it to you this way McDonald's has better pancakes. The pancakes used to be fluffy with a nice crispy edge to them. They fell flat today. My wife's French toast were good but her eggs were somehow cold. What is going on here... we couldn't catch a break today. Even the couple behind us who ordered a smoothie did not enjoy it. Another thing I must point out is the slow service. We weren't acknowledged upon entering and were about to leave when someone finally came and spoke to us. When we received our food we quickly realized we didn't have forks or knives. We were waiting for our waitress who was supposed to bring us more coffee so we could ask for utensils but she never did so I had to get up and ask another employee in the kitchen for some utensils. Don't get me wrong our waitress was super nice but considering it was slow we were left scratching our heads as to the slow service. Perhaps one of the reasons that service was slow was because we could hear the wait staff messing around and cursing in the kitchen. I really don't think that was professional at all. On top of that it's quite loud in there so don't expect a relaxed environment. If I could bring back the manager that was there before I would because he had things running like a clock.
