    Spanish latte!
    Pauline V.

I was craving a Spanish latte so I gave this place a shot! I ordered less sweet with almond milk so I fear I should have just kept the original recipe LOL. I thought it was good but oh my -- it really was less sweet bahaha my fault entirely though! It had a real cinnamon stick which was a nice touch but I kinda wish it had more cinnamon powder. Either way, I did enjoy my drink and it was so smooth. It was a little pricey to add w almond milk totaling of $8. Service was very friendly and made sure to greet me despite self ordering screen :)

It's right next to the original Cafe Pruvia (focuses on boba drinks) but this place focuses on coffee. I got a spanish latte which is FIRE. Lots of customization options. My only complaint is that it closes at 3PM!

Cute little family run boba and coffee shop located next to Tokyo Central in Gardena. Lots of parking which is nice. Good amount of tables to study, though when I came on a Sunday evening, all of them were taken. Service is pretty quick, each drink is made to order. You order on iPads. I ordered the rose milk tea with boba and lychee jelly. I got it less sweet which was perfect. I appreciate that you can adjust the sweetness. Boba was perfectly cooked and actually had a taste! I'd come back.

I usually visit here when I'm in the area to visit family. I've been to Cafe Pruvia multiple times throughout the years. For those wondering what the difference between Cafe Pruvia and the Pruvia Coffee Bar is, there's a detailed sign on the window. The main difference is in their menus: Cafe Pruvia serves boba, tea, smoothies while Pruvia Coffee Bar serves coffee. Parking: There's a large parking lot with plenty of spots. It can get busy in this parking lot bc it's in a high foot traffic plaza. Ambiance/Environment: This is my first visit to the coffee bar. It's cozy & studious inside. They have a medium sized space with a good amount of indoor seating. Majority of their tables are for two seaters. Perfect spot to get a study session in and get some work done. All tables were filled when I visited on a Sunday afternoon. Service: There were two baristas. Both were quick and efficient. Throughput took under 3 min after ordering. Drinks: I tried one of their seasonal lattes. The Harvest Latte contains hazelnut and caramel. The flavors worked well together. It is a bit on the sweeter end, but I still enjoyed it. They also offer milk alternatives at an extra cost of course. I always ask for easy ice bc I'm a sipper. They do not "fill the cup" as they have specific measurements. If you're staying there, they'll place your coffee in a glass cup or ceramic mug. If you're taking your coffee to go, they'll place it in a plastic cup. Pricing: More expensive than the average prices. I enjoyed my latte, but I'd probably treat myself here every once in a while.

Located in Pacific Square off Redondo Beach Bl in Gardena. This place is small but has seating along the wall which are mainly two seats at a table there is one four seater table. This place is nice and has a long bar where you can hang and possibly pull an empty chair. The staff were friendly. Service was good. I got the strawberry matcha which was good. Overall a nice place I do remember coming here before under another business name which I can't remember at this time.

This is my go-to coffee place! A bit sad that their boba place closed next door but glad the coffee shop is still open. The Pruvia Latte has the perfect balance of coffee and sweetness. Highly recommend for people coming here for the first time!

Ambiance: this coffee store is located right next to their boba tea place, it's quiet inside and they close in the early afternoon Service: friendly and welcoming, and the drink will be prepared right after placing the order Drink: their menu has classic and signature coffee matcha drinks Pruvia Latte - **** creamy and smooth texture, recommend Lavendar Matcha Latte - *** average taste Price: decent quality and reasonable prices, expect $6 per drink

Today, I tried the trending Spanish cream. Their Spanish latte is one of my favorites, and the cream top was just as amazing as I'd hoped. I truly appreciate the service, and the cozy interior creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a cup of coffee.

I had an early morning meeting and decided we could land at Pruvia. Parking in the lot was plentiful and easy Saturday morning. There are a variety of regular options and seasonal drinks from which to choose. I ordered the hot Chagacino and my friend had hot Jasmine pearl tea. Each drink was well-made and the sizes felt appropriate for the moderate prices. Service was efficient and there's just enough seating with at least two chairs at bistro-sized tables. With available outlets and WiFi, we felt comfortable getting work done and were not disturbed by an influx of customers. The space is subdued but well-attended.

    Butterscotch lattes
    Stephanie S.

So I'm not much of a sweet coffee person I normally opt for americano or cold brew because usually the fancy lattes are just too sweet for me but their Butterscotch latte was chefs kiss perfect. If you really need a caffeine boost they offer blonde espresso and it's strong strong lol but good. While seating is limited inside they offer outlets and additional seating outside. Service was quick and the vibe is peaceful inside. Great experience over all and will definitely come back!

The cutest coffee shop in a great location! It's so conveniently placed next to a Tokyo Central for grocery shopping and a Book Off where we can explore. My husband and I loved their cream too series but we enjoyed the decor and style of the interior the most. Staff was also super helpful when recommending items since it was my first time there. They were so quick, had strong wifi, and had a lot of parking!

I ordered two drinks from here a while back. It was not good. In fact, it was pretty disgusting. This place had like the worst Einspanner I ever tried... the drinks here were not freshly made. Now, I get it that a lot of places premade certain stuff. I am not sure how many days old was the coffee for this place. I remembered seeing the barista/owner pouring the black coffee from a pitcher. I knew it wouldn't be good lol then he started pouring the foam/cream from a different pitcher or something. My heart sank... The coffee tasted water down. It also left a sour taste afterwards. I am unable to describe the other drink since I don't remember. What I do remember was tossing both cups away.

A very great coffee spot to visit if you are looking to study. They have great study tunes and a decent amount of room for people to study at. There is a kiosk to order when you walk in so there is little worker/customer interaction unless you have a question. Workers are nice from my experiences but they are more focused on making their coffee. Ham and Cheese croissant was great, was not given an option to warm it up so I will try to do that next time. Mocha was done really well and fairly smooth, seems to be a plus if you order for dine in as I saw some drinks in some glassware, super cool! Look forward my next visit IG: Lovingyourtaste

What does "Pruvia" mean? My family loves your drinks!

Hi Lauren, Thank you for your question.…

    Is there indoor seating now?

Yes! There is plenty of indoor seating.

Someone mentioned your boba is dipped in honey. Is it filtered or raw honey?

Hello! We use a mixture of brown sugar and honey to flavor our boba. It is not a raw honey.…

We closed earlier for a wedding event. Normal sat hours is 11am-10pm

    What exactly is the swirl?

This place is a total gem, and if you haven't been yet, you are seriously missing out! Let me tell you about the star of my visit, the Matcha Cream Filled Croissant. Oh. My. Goodness. This thing is on another level. The croissant itself is buttery, perfectly golden, and incredibly flaky -- with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. But the matcha cream filling? Silky smooth, lusciously rich, with a beautiful earthy matcha flavor that isn't overpowering or too sweet. It's the kind of bite that makes you stop mid-chew just to appreciate how good it is. I honestly could eat three of these in a sitting. The Korean-American fusion approach to their baked goods is inspired and completely unique, you won't find anything like it anywhere else in the South Bay or in Gardena. Seriously Impressive, I paired my croissant with their Iced Matcha Latte, made with premium grade matcha sourced from Jeju Island, and WOW, this drink is stunning. It's vibrant, beautifully layered, and tastes as amazing as it looks. The matcha is bold and authentic without being bitter, perfectly balanced with creamy, cold milk. Not too sweet, not too earthy -- just absolutely perfect. It's easily one of the best iced matcha drinks I've had in a while. You can customize your milk choice too, which is a great thoughtful touch. This place is warm & welcoming: The staff here is attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and made to feel at home. The baristas are well-trained and knowledgeable, they took their time explaining the menu and made sure my order was exactly right. No rushing, no attitude, just genuine hospitality that keeps you coming back. Decor is absolutely Charming. The interior of Smoking Tiger is adorable and so well thought out. It's modern, clean, and stylish with a cozy Korean café aesthetic that feels fresh without trying too hard. The lighting is warm and inviting, the seating is comfortable, and the whole vibe just makes you want to stay for hours. There's both indoor and outdoor seating available, which is a great bonus. Whether you're catching up with a friend, working on your laptop, or just treating yourself to something special, this place sets the perfect mood. One thing that really stood out to me was how immaculately clean this café is. The tables, counters, floors, and display cases were all sparkling, it's clear that the team takes real pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for every guest. A clean café is a happy café, and this one passes with flying colors. Bottom Line, Smoking Tiger Coffee & Bread is the real deal. Creative, high-quality food, exceptional drinks, warm service, gorgeous decor, and a spotless space, this place checks every single box. The Matcha Cream Filled Croissant and Iced Matcha Latte alone are worth the trip. Do yourself a favor and go try yourself. Miguel C.

I've known about this place for almost 2 years, if not more, but finally decided to leave a review…read moresince I've been visiting very often these past months. Since my first visit, there's been many competitors opening around Gardena, but I find myself drawn back to this place because of the balance of spaciousness (there's actually places to sit whenever I go!), quality of products (the espresso shot is pretty strong and they have many beans to choose from), and best of all, price of their drinks (specifically the specialties). While I wouldn't say the prices are a bargain, it feels more reasonable than other local competitors. One thing I do miss is that 2 years ago, the pastries weren't individually wrapped. We used to have the option of selecting pastries with tongs, the typical experience you'd get when going to a bakery in Japan. Hopefully they would bring that experience back again! Until then, I'll keep returning for their quality drinks!

Great Demand, But Poor Convenience for Working Customers…read more I've had The Nook's mushroom coffee before. My best friend took me here on a weekend afternoon, and even then there was a line, although it was manageable and mostly stayed inside the shop. Because of that experience, I knew The Nook was popular, but I wasn't prepared for what I encountered on a weekday morning. I wanted to pick up a coffee before work, so I actually planned ahead. Before leaving home, I checked the mobile website expecting that, given the obvious demand, there might be an order-ahead option. Unfortunately, there isn't one. So I gave myself an additional 30 minutes specifically for parking, waiting in line, ordering, and waiting for the drink to be prepared. I figured that should be more than enough for a morning coffee pickup. I arrived around 7:30 AM, and as I walked toward The Nook from the south side of The Enclave, I could already see the line stretching out of the door and into the courtyard. I was honestly shocked. There were easily 15-20 people ahead of me. I decided to give it a fair chance and got in line. After 10 minutes, the line had barely moved. At that point, I walked out. I understand that popular businesses get busy, especially in the morning. But there is a difference between being busy and having a customer wait in a line of 15-20 people with virtually no movement at 7:30 AM, particularly when there is no mobile ordering or order-ahead option. For a coffee shop with this level of demand, I find the lack of an ordering system especially frustrating. If you're going to consistently have lines extending outside the business during the morning rush, there should be some way for customers who are trying to grab a drink on their way to work to order ahead. And that's really my issue: the customer experience doesn't seem designed for people who need coffee efficiently. If you're coming here on a weekend, have nowhere to be, or are willing to dedicate an unpredictable amount of time to waiting, you may have a completely different experience. But if you're trying to get coffee before work, I would strongly recommend accounting for significantly more time than you think you'll need -- or having a backup plan. I no longer work as close to The Nook, and I don't drink coffee after noon, so I don't have much reason to make a special trip. Unless I'm conveniently nearby and see little to no line, I won't be making another attempt anytime soon. The Nook clearly has a loyal following, but popularity shouldn't come at the expense of basic convenience. If the demand is consistently this high, the ordering process needs to catch up with it.
