We used to love coming here but after our credit card got charged two occasions that we didn't go we stopped going so now it's about a year later and we decided to try it again we got three orders to go and We ended up throwing away most the food because it was just horrible on top of that their prices have almost doubled a breakfast for three people should not be $58 with out drinks I honestly don't know how they are still in business considering there are so many great restaurants around that are reasonably priced read more

This place is closer to a 3.5 but we all know yelp doesn't allow for half points in ratings. The only reasons it's not a 4 is the service is a bit slow and the food itself is over priced. We ordered the carne asada chilaquilles plate and it was actually really good. The one thing I did notice however it there wasn't much carne asada and instead there was way more beans and eggs so for $16 this feels overpriced and might be the most expensive chillaquilles in the world...if not definitely in California. We also ordered the loaded sirloin steak plate. This was good but the steak was pre marinated with a sweet teriyaki which didn't really go with the rest of the flavors on the plate. But the meat portion here as opposed to the carne asada chillaquilles plate was a lot larger. Lastly we ordered the banana strawberry pancakes and the Swedish crepe. The banana strawberry pancakes were really good the bananas were cooked inside the pancake batter that was a pleasant surprise. The highlight of the day however was the Swedish crepe. It was amazing. Verty soft and buttery and the jelly it came with made it taste so good. Overall would come here again but I can't imagine how slow service would be on a busier day. I come here all of the time. I thought I had reviewed previously, but when I checked- nothing! I have come here for breakfast more times than I can count. It is similar in some ways to IHOP, but much better and with a Mexican flair. In fact, my business partner is Mexican and he LOVES the menudo. I'm white af so to me Menudo is nothing more than a boy band from the 80s. What I DO know is that the menudo doesnt stink. I have never tasted it and probably never will, but I know in some places I have to move away from people eating menudo. Not here. I was told that means it is "clean" and cooked right. Whatever. I am all about the crepes. They're similar to IHOP but with a much bigger variety of flavors. And man, they're good. The prices are about the same. Great coffee. Great staff. Okay, for anyone who truly knows me, know that I am a HUGE foodie. No pun intended. This place was AMAZING and to DIE for!! To start, they give you chips, bean dip and green sauce. I had the Dulce De Leche Crepe Combo and my boyfriend had the Carne Asada Chilaquiles. It was INSANELY delicious!! THEN my boyfriend got the Horchata shake and it was the BEST shake I've ever had. AND I don't even like horchata. I am seriously in food HEAVEN right now and we may just have to go back tomorrow! I want to try their shake trio! Check it out on the menu! When I asked the lady up front if they could turn on the air conditioning. Her reply to me was that the manager did not allow them to turn on the AC. As much as I like the food. Came in on a Saturday morning for breakfast, there was a very short wait, after we got seated we were helped almost immediately by our server Yadira. I ordered a strawberry pineapple smoothie and the Surprise Surprise for my meal, the food was so good, better than I had thought it would be. Over all I give it an over 10/10. read more

This is a restaurant knows how to make their customers come back for more. Our waitress Yadira today was smiling from the moment we sat down, she made sure we were okay had everything we needed. The food is always good, in my opinion I think the crepes are the best. It has many parking spots outside and the inside of the restaurant is always looking clean. Oof is this place overpriced! The pros were: ample parking, no wait to be seated, and a pretty robust menu. I kind of couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the prices for breakfast, though. One dish we ordered was $22. It was a lot of food, but nothing special. You can get a lot of food at plenty of diners for significantly less than that. We also ordered one kid's breakfast, and one "value" breakfast that was a pretty sorry plate of some scrambled eggs, hash browns, and two limp strips of bacon. Not even a tiny slice of orange fruit garnish or anything; they definitely don't care about presentation. The coffee was fine, not good nor bad. I prefer the coffee I make at home. Service was decent. I hate the cash price versus card price practice, and how you don't know the credit card price up front. The cash prices listed on the menu were shocking enough. All in all, we got two coffees, one kid's breakfast (water, no juice, god only knows how much that would've been), one "value" breakfast, and one chilaquiles plate. With tip (20%), we forked over $63. For the cash price! I usually don't judge too harshly based on price -- business costs are up, I understand that. But this just seemed ridiculous. We could've hit a Dennys and gotten more food, same quality, for probably $20 less. Lesson learned. read more

Long wait for food to arrive but they give complimentary conchas. Food quality is good. Portion is good. A lot of seating which is a plus. My only problem with my experience was my waitress, Yadira. I noticed how nice she was to other tables. But her service with my boyfriend and I was very dry and she has an attitude. I asked for 2 cups for water and she never gave them to us. She actually gave out refills to other tables and never stopped by our table to check in. We had another waiter bring out the waters after we were already finished with our food. I wonder if it's because we were non Hispanic. My experience would be better if the service was actually decent. But even for the smallest requests, Yadira couldn't deliver for some reason. read more

Saw this place on a Facebook ad and thought I'd give it a try! Place is clean overall. Started kinda slow being that they only had one host and the waitresses have to clean their own tables which held back the wait time on our table. Took us about 10 minutes to be seated and we were the only ones waiting. The waitress was very polite though. Ordered coffee and water and the Coffee was AMAZING!!! Ordered the chilaquiles and they were extremely fresh and delicious!! I love my food spicy so the extra habanero salsa was great. I recommend the red one. Definitely coming back to this place. They have quite a few places - the closer one to me is in Gardena. I ended up at the Lawndale because its more convenient when it comes to parking and seat availability. Came here on a weekend morning when it was raining, and was seated rather quickly. I enjoy the set up here - booths and table seating. The service was quick and friendly. They have good menu options for your breakfast cravings. Crepes to waffles and omelettes. I love how they have a few of hot sauce selections already there on the table. Great place to add to our list of local breakfast spots. The cafe is located with other shops so parking is shared. I havent had an issue with availability so far here. read more

Wow, food, service and atmosphere. The Loaded Cafe has all three! I've been coming here once a week for months. I still enjoy this place early in the morning for breakfast! The music is great and the volume is just right. Shortly after they open I can be seen dancing before I sit down in my own designated booth. This is known as the "romantic section"! The servers are friendly and the menu has a lot to choose from. What more could you want? A massage possibly? I love it, go check it out!!! read more

Went into the cafe on a nice Saturday afternoon and was seated immediately. As we sat for 10 minutes still no server, a server didn't come to our table until 20 minutes after being seated. On top of that, the stores general manager walked passed our table multiple times and said nothing but greeted the tables in back of me and the table in back of my sister. I had to ask multiple times for silver wear and still didn't receive the knife I asked for multiple times. For a first impression it wasn't a good one at all. Next time please don't make customers feel like strangers or just ignore them. I will try the location in Gardena to see if the atmosphere is better. read more
