We've been coming here since they opened and it keeps getting better and better. They keep adding more delicious entries and the cafecito and pan dulce is yummy. If you wanna save some money look at their weekday favorites and also bring cash. If you don't have cash don't worry they also take tap to pay and cards
I just had a quick bite at the Bellflower location after a long morning waiting on my vehicle getting serviced and repaired. I been wanting to try Loaded Cafe for a while so this quick visit / review will not do any justice to the great reputation! The exterior I thought was very plain and dated. The interior decor was not as colorful as I had expected. My server was friendly and helpful. I had ordered a simple meal of plain crepes, sausage & sunny side eggs ($12.99). The crepes were delicious and I've made a note to come back to try the other more creative crepe offers in the future.

I honestly hate having to write this review, but I would hate it even more if someone else had the same experience I did. I ordered the Crunchy Asada Chilaquiles, which are advertised as one of their best sellers. When the dish arrived, the chilaquiles did not look appetizing at all, but I tried not to judge based on appearance alone. Unfortunately, the taste matched the presentation. I'm a huge chilaquiles fan and try them everywhere I can, and sadly these were the worst I've had. The ingredients just didn't work well, and the flavors were unpleasant enough that I couldn't finish the meal. I also ordered a Mazapan Latte and I couldn't finish that either. The latte tased like straight milk with creamer, no hint of Mazapan. What made the experience even more disappointing was something that happened during our visit. I dined here on January 7, just a few days after Día de los Reyes. When we walked in, I noticed every table had a rosca de reyes, which I love. I assumed it was either something you could order or perhaps a complimentary item. Our table was given a small basket of mini pan dulce, so I thought maybe that had replaced the rosca for the day. However, shortly after we sat down, another table was seated and they were served a rosca. I asked them if they had ordered it or if it was complimentary, and they told me it was complimentary. At that point I realized our table had not been offered the same thing. I want to be clear that I can't say with certainty why this happened, but it left me feeling uncomfortable and wondering if assumptions were made about our table. I'm a light-complexioned Mexican dining with a Caucasian friend, and it felt strange that we were the only table not offered the same specialty item during a cultural holiday. WE WERE BEING DISCRIMINATED! How is it that us, the only table with Caucasian-presenting appearance were the only table that were given mini pan Dulce (the regular complimentary appetizer) instead of the specialty Rosca De Reyes all the other tables with Hispanic-appearing-guests were served. That does not sit right with me. DO NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS BASED ON APPEARANCES. I may seem Caucasian but I am 100% Mexican and I love Rosca De Reyes, and wanted my friend to try a Rosca, so I asked another server (ours was on break) if we too could have a Rosca and he brought one out to us. Because of the food and this experience, I don't see myself returning. I will say, however, that the bakery located in the back of the restaurant is cute and offers pastries that looked quite tasty.
Came in to Loaded Café for a late breakfast with my daughter. This location splits its facility with Panecito, a Mexican bakery, which is located towards the back. Loaded itself only has inside seating with a modest amount of booths and booth/table combos. Staffing seemed to be minimal, but everyone was friendly and accommodating. They checked on us regularly to ask how the food was and to provide refills on our drinks. My daughter ordered the crunchy asada chilaquiles and I ordered their strawberry almond cheesecake crepes as a combo (adding eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage). The flavor for the chilaquiles was perfect, but the meat was on the chewy side. The combo portion of my meal was standard and hit the spot. We ended up sharing the crepes, which were a nice, dessert-like finish to our meal. The crepes were perfectly prepared with a decent amount of strawberries, cheesecake drizzle, sliced almonds, and whipped cream. Coke fans be aware, only Pepsi products are served here :(

We were told it would be a 10 minute wait, but we ended up being sat almost immediately after we put our name down. The place itself is kind of muggy and a little warm inside, but it's a classic diner. We were given free bread as an appetizer and needed a couple minutes to look over the menu. We put our order in and got to chatting... Realizing 45 minutes had gone by, we still didn't have food and had drank all of our water, with no server in sight. Our food finally came after our server initially brought out the wrong order. We ordered a scramble and the chilaquiles. The chips and cheese on the chilaquiles were so burnt! It looked like it had been under the heat lamp for quite some time. The veggie scramble was actually very tasty and I was so thankful because of how long it took to get it. I would definitely eat that again however, I probably won't go back to this place just because of how long everything took. Over an hour and a half for a simple breakfast... pass.

And it felt that we were not the patrons they wanted in their restaurant as the table directly next to us came after us and got seated and served in a shorter time then us and service was friendly unlike our table. Food was good. And the cafe and sweets amazing which explains the screaming children I heard throughout my experience the vibe was end of the day at a daycare. I loved the matcha and wanted to try more of the baked goods...buuuuut not sure they want me or my family or people who share my phenotype there so there's that...
Great location, good service, & delicious food. Had to take my kids to have some breakfast in between there basketball games. The kids ordered their pancakes, crepes, & stuffed french toasts. All was delicious. Great spot for family breakfast.
Great service. Got here around 8am on july 4th and was seated right away. The decorations reminded me of dennys. The food did not disappoint with the exception of the complimentary conchas. The conchas were hard, burnt and dry. I feel like these were day old and they just reheated them for us, if you're gonna make something complimentary at least make it well. My hashbrowns were perfect for me, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, hard to find a place that does it right! My eggs were cooked to a perfect medium. Will be back soon to try more.
Needs an early breakfast place and looked on southwest airlines app to see what was around I found this place and it was a treat. My wife ordered Asada Chilaquiles Plate and I had a crepe. Ok I ate half of hers and she ate half of mine. It was delish we both left full and are dying to go back. Great place and a reasonable price. You got to go. So much more to try.
I tried Loaded Cafe after seeing Instagram raves about this being the Mexican Denny's. I found my experience there to be just okay. They serve small sweet conches for their bread basket. The food is flavorful, which was always a plus. The music is at an annoying volume because we were under a speaker, so we ended up moving to another table which was helpful. The service was okay, but the price seemed high for what we got. I think your experience depends greatly on how much you are willing to overspend.
No wait for B fast during the week, but it gets crowded on weekends. Seems to be a younger crowd in the diner"esque" place. While lots of items are $15+ we opted for the weekday special menu. Two nice conchas (baked good) complimentary were a nice touch. Breakfasts are huge, kind of pricey. Pancakes, eggs w bacon was good ($12.99?). Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. Eggs OM were way over cooked, yoke stuck on whites. Bacon just average nothing special. French toast in the value menu was delicious as well. Also a Mexican bakery on site with lots of fresh choices.

07 02 2026 - - - Loaded Cafe: Redemption Served - Well... after the spectacular train wreck that was my last visit, I figured everyone deserves a second chance. So after my shift this morning, I rolled back into Loaded Cafe with cautious optimism... and a healthy dose of side-eye. I'm happy to report this visit was much better. Nice and Clean. Staff attentive, once they saw that I was there. The coffee hit the spot, and they brought out a fresh concha that was soft, warm, and exactly what it should be. My only complaint? One concha? That's just rude. At least two should come with coffee. I'm pretty sure that's somewhere in the Constitution. Then came the French toast, and it absolutely redeemed itself. Thick, fluffy, buttery, and exactly what I was hoping for after a long morning. No complaints there. The best part, though, was getting to chat with the new manager. It's refreshing to see someone who genuinely seems to care about improving the experience. That conversation gave me hope that my previous visit was the exception, not the rule. So here's to second chances. This visit earned one. I'm rooting for the team to keep heading in this direction because I'd love for no one else to experience the epic breakfast fail I had just a month ago. This time around: worth the stop. Next time... just slide another concha onto that tray and we'll really be onto something. read more

We ordered the sirloin steak breakfast with eggs and hash browns, along with the brioche French toast. The steak was decent, the eggs were cooked just right, and the hash browns were pretty typical for what you'd expect. The disappointing part was the brioche French toast. We ordered everything to go, and it seems like sometimes with takeout you just don't get the same attention to detail. There was no powdered sugar and no butter included. I did get the syrup, but overall the French toast was pretty underwhelming. Overall, the meal was okay and pretty typical for this type of restaurant, but I expected a little more, especially for what you're paying. read more

I was surprised the variety of options on the menu and the big shocker was a bakery inside the restaurant. Seating was quick Service was fast Environment was loaded with fun Server was friendly and nice Food came out at a decent time. Unfortunately the food didn't come out as expected. Examples: mozzarella sticks came out uncooked and frozen inside. Eggs came out sunny side but ordered well done sunny side. Overall, the experience definitely worst coming and dining. After much thought the best way to describe this is a Mexican American dinner. It does not give cafe vibes. The food is okay , I tried the chilaquiles with chicken. The chilaquiles have cheese , sauce and hash browns on the side. I want to note chilaquiles plates do not come with any toppings like sour cream , pico de gallo etc hence why this "cafe" gives dinner vibes. This restaurant does not go the extra mile with the plates that are being served or with its service. The service was okay our waitress just took our order , delivered the food and we didn't see her again until it was time to pay. I didn't even get offered a refill on my coffee. If you're looking for quick food and okay service then I would recommend this place. But if you're looking for a brunch , cafe vibe this is not the place. I do want to note , their complementary concha's are delicious! read more

We stopped in passing for a quick grab-and-go. We didn't eat inside this time--just picked up a couple of drinks and some pan dulce--but it was a great first impression. The staff was friendly, the menu looked legit, and it's definitely a place I want to come back to and actually sit down for a meal. The dining area reminded me of an old school "Sunday morning" style dining area. It was very, and you could tell that everyone inside was enjoying their meals. We ordered an iced coffee, a watermelon Tajín drink, and a few conchas. Everything was good. The drinks were refreshing, and the conchas were soft and really tasty. Overall, a very solid experience for a quick stop. Looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu. read more

I went to this cafe with high hopes based off the reviews but was sadly let down, when i ordered my meal I substituted my hash browns for country potatoes for an extra $2 which I expected to have seasoned potatoes with bell peppers and onions because usually they have them but I was given a sad and dry breakfast . service was okay , overall a bit disappointed.:( read more

After seeing this pop up on recommendations in what to do in Placentia, I am so glad I came in! I came in early and was seated immediately. Alex took care of me, gave amazing service. I found Loaded Cafe last minute and was intrigued because I saw that they serve conchas as a freebie to all customers! Arrived this past Monday in the morning for a table of 2 and was seated right away! Our table was a little sticky and so were our menus. Our server brought us waters and my cup had some bits of tajin or something like that so I requested a new water. I ordered their Chilaquiles Torta with spice green sauce. It was an extra ridiculous up charge to add asada so I didn't. The torta only had a light spreading of beans inside. The bed or tortilla chips aka chilaquiles was really sad. The whole dish looked miserable. The chef clearly didn't put in any effort to make my dish good. My mom ordered one of their value crepe dish with two slices of bacon and a sad extra $1 charge for an egg. Didn't look appetizing at all. Best of all, we never received our conchas and was very hard to flag down any staff. There were two girls that served other tables and they seemed great. Our guy server was not good at all. Dude seemed like he was in a rush and I had to slowly repeat my order several times because he could not comprehend my request quick enough. I noticed tables with Mexican people received way more attention and friendly service. We were sat at the front by the entrance booth but was still very hard to get decent service. Do yourself a favor and don't eat at this location. Area did not seem sanitary, food was meh, and service was way subpar as well. I went to the bakery to get a special concha and that was delicious. I just wish we had received our conchas that every other table was getting complimentary even before ordering. read more

Decided to give this place a try for breakfast. The location seemed pretty empty when we arrived. Still waited 15 minutes to be seated. For being a new location, it seemed pretty dirty. A lot of trash on the floor all over the location the restroom smelled horribly. Small portions for most of the items we ordered. Presentation wise I would give it a 2/10 but most importantly it lacked a lot of taste. Don't be scared to use salt and pepper. The only thing I could say I enjoyed was the conchas that was brought out when we sat down. All hype. read more

I said I'd be back to try more, and that I did. This time I took my husband and we got a bundle of 6 to give to my family. I also tried Cafe de Ollo which packed a punch of cinnamon flavor. As my husband and I walked out, we were thanked by every server of Loaded Cafe. Such friendly people, we felt very welcomed. Had breakfast this morning and would definitely return. Sevice was amazing, we got there @ 8am and there was only one server but he ran the place like a pro. Coffee and complimentary conchas alone are worth going back. Value of meals varied quite a bit so review menu & watch for specials on the TVs. Not all options were listed on the menu. read more
