A bit warm and stuffy inside on a hot summer day. A few indoor tables, no outdoor patio, small parking lot shared with other businessess. Early 2000s rock music was blasting the whole time. On the cheap end as far as lobster rolls go, and they also have Yelp check-in discounts so be sure you keep an eye out for those. I got a Maine roll and asked for everything on the side. They still doused the meat in their aioli, I had to scrape some off because it was too saucy. I sprinkled on some seasoning and green onions myself, plus a squeeze of lemon. I prefer regular mayo but the aioli had a nice flavor. There was a decent amount of lobster meat, not the most succulent but not bad either. Any flavor got drowned out by the sauce. The bun was too thick and tasted a day old or something. My biggest gripe was that the Maine roll is supposed to have chilled lobster but it tasted lukewarm, maybe because of all the aioli they douse it in. Also got a side of sweet potato waffle fries, they were extra crispy, perhaps left in the fryer a minute or so too long, lost that sweet potato flavor in the process, more like chips in the end. Pretty solid lobster roll option that won't break the bank, but still a bit disappointing (Cousins is my gold standard). Curious souls might like to know they are affiliated with Lobster & Beer in Culver City, another decent but somewhat disappointing roll IMO. read more

The plate came with a small salad and vinaigrette which I'm usually not a fan of but even the vinaigrette was delicious. Even though I've never been to New England, I feel this is as good a lobster roll as you can get here in SoCal. (I've had better in Cupertino.) Clam chowder - good consistency and taste, but too salty for me. We stopped by for lunch and got the following: 1. Connecticut Lobster Roll - The sandwich was warm and delicious with good chucks of lobster meats. The fresh brioche buns were good 2. Clam Chowder: The soup went perfectly well with the sandwich. 3. Clobster Roll - Crab and lobster sandwich. My son loved it! 4. Mango Habanero bone-in Chicken Wings: Sweet and spicy. 6. It is a local chain with the other 2 locations in Redondo Beach and Woodland Hills. The owner and service staff were friendly. There are about 5 tables inside. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza on the corner of San Gabriel and Colorado. There is not a whole lot of seating inside and the parking lot is small. Not sure if it's a great combo or not, but this was kinda meh because a bit oily. Our friends also ordered grilled cheese with clam chowder and the truffle lobster roll. I got the clobster roll Connecticut style ($18.95), which is a warm roll filled with both lobster and crab. The roll was delicious and full of flavor, but the crab grilled cheese ($17) lacked flavor and didn't have the cheese flavor I expected. It did come with a small cup of tomato soup, which was good. Got this restaurant as a suggestion on Yelp and I'm so happy I did! 10/10 would recommend. My husband and I both got a Connecticut roll. We also shared fries, tots, and clam chowder. The lobster roll had a good amount of lobster and everything was cooked really well. Our favorite was the clam chowder though! It was super creamy and had a lot of flavor. The fries and tots were cooked well also - really crispy even after we took some back home for leftovers. Customer service was great as well. The cashier was kind and attentive. The food also came out really quickly and was super hot so you know it's fresh. The restaurant itself is small and there's no public restrooms as well, but because it's a smaller space it's kind of just an eat real quick and go type of place. To me a Maine Lobster Roll is just like Red Eats in Wiscasset, Maine. Just a roll, lobster claws, knuckle meat and lobster tail and butter!
