California lobster roll and lobster bisque
    Adam A.

IMPRESSIVE! I am always in Maine and have never found any lobster roll on the west coast that even comes close. This place had a California lobster roll made with Sriracha. Delicious! The lobster bisque was equally impressive. I highly recommend

Its located inside a small plaza located in Pasadena. This plaza has a very small parking lot. When we first walked in, an aromatic smell greeted us before the staff. Everything smelled so delicious! The staff greeted us and guided us how to order. The interior is cute and small. Very vibrant, casual, and they were playing music over the speakers. The menu can get $$$. If you order anything with lobster, it's best to consume it the day of and not have it as leftovers for the next day. Also, the amount of lobster that you get with your order is justified in its price. We ordered to go and got a few different entrees. Old bay cheese fries: when you order to go, they separate the cheese from the fries. My husband didn't realize the cheese was missing from the fries until he saw the container. I think that was great thinking on the restaurants side. The fries had a little spice kick to it, but the cheese sauce smelled and tasted amazing. Best item in our order. Lobster tacos: If you're a fan of American style like Baja fresh, the tacos are healthier, then these are for you. These tacos are not like Mexican styles, so be warned. Lobster grilled cheese: this sandwich was HEFTY! It is a lactose intolerant person's nightmare because of how much cheese was in it! The bisque was very aromatic and was delicious to eat the day of. I didn't finish this so I saved it for leftovers. I couldn't eat it; lobster became too chewy. My husband finished it. Lobster spaghetti: traditional spaghetti with lobster meat. Nothing special except the presentation was spectacular. The lobster tail was used as a garnish and the meat was not attached to the tail. Church filled with caramel: must be consumed as soon as possible for it gets hard after a while. It wasn't too sweet considering the church was filled with caramel. Overall, this isn't a place we will frequent often because of the cost, but we do plan on returning.

My group came here for lunch because we were looking for a sandwich place in the Pasadena area. My sister found this restaurant on Yelp and we all wanted to try it since loved the lobster rolls we had while visiting Washington DC last spring. The lobster roll that I ordered was alright, but I am do comparing to a rather high bar that was set when we went to a seafood shop in Maryland that also specialized in lobster rolls. The other item on my plate was the clam chowder. I really wanted to like it, but I mainly wished it was a tad thicker. The flavor was totally fine, though. The best portion of my combo plate was actually the fries! They were seasoned very generously and were super crispy. Overall, this was a decent lobster roll spot for this area since there aren't many around this area (that we know of).

Cali Truffle Roll - with 3oz of extra lobster meat. Yummy!

First time I've ordered from here and it was delicious! Ordered the Cali Truffle Lobster roll with extra lobster meat for delivery, and it absolutely hit the spot! The flavors were fun and exciting, with generous, meaty chunks of lobster that made every bite satisfying. The roll itself had great bread - soft and complementary without overpowering the star ingredient. What I loved most was being able to enjoy this messy, hands-on meal in the comfort of my own home. There's something special about being able to dive in without worrying about making a mess at a restaurant. The extra lobster meat was definitely worth it - plenty to enjoy throughout the entire roll. Overall, a delicious delivery experience that brought restaurant-quality flavors right to my door. Would definitely order again!

I came in today with my boyfriend to grab some plain buttered lobster rolls, fries, and clam chowder -- everything was amazing, truly 10/10. The lobster rolls were packed with generous portions of lobster and even came with a side salad, which was also delicious. The clam chowder was very creamy and flavorful. Prices were great and very reasonable for the quality and portions. The food tasted fresh, the staff was kind and welcoming, and the whole experience was great. I would definitely come back!

The place is quite cozy. Nice ambiance and decor. The service of host was on point. Very helpful. The food was ok. Good flavor for clam chowder. I wished there would have been some seafood meat in it, though. The lobster Maine roll was just ok. I wasn't a big fan. The fries were just fries. A bit overcooked and no flavor. The Connecticut roll was just ok as well. There was plenty of parking. One out front and a huge public parking lot in the back.

    Jessica Y.

The restaurant is located in a small Plaza. Has a parking lot. Easy to get parking. They have indoor seating. We tried a crab roll, lobster pasta (seasonal item) and came with side of bread. Everything was delicious! Staff was very nice. Similar to what other Yelpers say a bit pricey but food is great!

Connecticut Style Lobster Roll (8/10) Lobster bisque (6/10)
    Christy C.

Ordered Uber Eats and it was delicious but pretty pricey! Got the Connecticut Style Lobster Roll ($23.95) It was pretty small but was packed with big chunks of Mane lobster and garnished with green onions and mayo! This was 8/10 The lobster bisque ($9.90) was just ok, nothing special. Just tiny bits of lobster and not much lobster taste. It was pretty mediocre and pretty salty so I wouldn't recommend it. This was a 6/10 They have a good variety of lobster, shrimp, and crab rolls but expect to pay $20+! Can't decide between crab or lobster? No problem! They have the "Clobster Roll" ($22.74) and you get the combo of both worlds! Unlikely to return but it's an ok spot for first timers!

    Maine style lobster roll combo
    Melanie L.

Located in a small plaza and very pricey, but so good. I got the Maine style lobster roll combo for $29. I think it comes with more fries than the regular order! I was told the Connecticut style was more popular, but that the Maine was more flavorful. (Thanks for the suggestion from the cashier). I got the clam chowder with it and it was also good. Not the best I've ever had, but still good and generous with its portions of clam and potato. My MIL ordered the lobster pasta and I took a bite. I have to say it's probably one of the best ones I've tasted. Rich with lobster and very flavorful. The other ones I've tasted have been more light and a bit bland in taste. Service was actually amazing here. The cashier made good suggestions, was on top of bringing us water and overall very friendly. Not many tables to sit at, but cool little spot.

    Rachel B.

Unfortunately the lobster roll I ordered was the least special part of this meal, as it tasted slightly overcooked and dry. The fries were delicious, and the clam chowder was super tasty and filling. I think I'll have to come back again to see if the lobster roll itself was a one time fluke, and next time order a bigger bowl of clam chowder!

    Maine Style Lobster Roll

Three of us stopped in for a weekend lunch around 2. Not a long wait at all. There's just a hand few of tables inside to eat at. You can order at the counter with a person or on their IPAD system, which was easy to use. Big chunks of lobster in our sandwiches (Maine & Connecticut) both full flavored deliciousness! Honestly I could have eaten two. We shared calamari and the breading was too thick for my liking. Next time I have a lobster roll craving I know exactly where to come.

    Crab Quesadilla
    Ross W.

What a neighborhood gem! We ordered to go, & the food remained in good condition despite the drive home. The House Special Lobster Roll was great. It tasted fresh, and you get a very generous amount of lobster. The Crab Quesadilla was delicious and not oily. Pricing is highly affordable, and our food was ready at the promised time. What's not to like?

Lobster Roll actually is pieces of lobster tail on a brioche bread roll, this was also great
    Mody M.

I must admit the food is great and the prices very reasonable in todays prices. The lobster was done perfectly except for one with the noodles. Service is superb one-on-one. Host was informative, helpful and understanding. Of course, since it's a hole in the wall do not expect much atmosphere. There are about 6-8 small tables for 2 or four people. You know, if you have 6 people, they combine two tables. I would come back for the petite lobster or the lobster roll.

5/5 - Outstanding Italian Dining Experience…read more Italian Deli Company in Pasadena exceeded our expectations in every way. The ambiance is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating that creates a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The mellow Italian music in the background added to the authentic dining experience. The food was exceptional. We ordered the Tagliatelle Polpette, Pollo e Prosciutto, Burrata e Prosciutto, and Salsiccia e Peperonata, and every dish was delicious and expertly prepared. The quality and freshness of the ingredients really stood out. From the fresh arugula and Parmesan cheese to the prosciutto and wine selection, everything tasted high-quality and carefully sourced. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. A special touch was Chef Lalo coming out to greet us personally, which made the experience even more memorable. The portions were very generous and offered excellent value for the price. We ended up taking food home because there was so much, and every bite was worth it. As for the noise level, there were a few families with children, but everyone was respectful, and the overall atmosphere remained calm and relaxing. If you're looking for authentic Italian food, fresh ingredients, generous portions, and outstanding hospitality in Pasadena, Italian Deli Company is definitely worth a visit. We'll be back!

I was pleasantly surprised at the welcoming staff and warm ambiance. Going to slide one complaint in here, the noise level in the upstairs portion of the restaurant is LOUD. We sat upstairs and it was pretty difficult to hear my friends talk from just across the table. We powered through, and by the second half of our meal, most diners had finished and left us upstairs with only a couple of lingering parties. THEN this place became GREAT! Here's all that we stuffed ourselves with during the cacophony of chatter: Panee Olio - Fresh baked ciabatta, olive oil, mixed olives - the bread was GOOD, nice crust, soft inside. It does make me sad that bread is no longer complimentary in 90% of all restaurants I dine at. Insalata Bietole - Roasted organic beets, wild arugula, strawberries, candied pecans, burrata, red wine vinaigrette - MMMMMM, this was a delicious salad. The burrata added such good creaminess to the dish. I love me a red wine vinaigrette, great balance of acid. Prosciutto Rucola e Tartufo - Ricotta sauce, fresh mozzarella, truffle shavings, arugula, shaved parmesan, white truffle essence - it's a nice light flatbread dish. I think I personally would have enjoyed the prosciutto baked crispy on the flatbread instead of fresh for more saltiness to the dish. Lasagna - Bolognese, bechamel, mixed mushrooms, parmesan - my friend loved her lasagna with the white sauce instead of red. I'm definitely coming back to try more of the menu. Street parking is found at a premium here, there's a small structure with a handful of subterranean parking around the corner and up the street.

In my 20's I lived right up the street and hit them up quite often. I don't get there as much as I'd like nowadays but when I do, it is always consistently great. They are always stacked with lots of high quality cold cuts and delicious Provolone, crisp shredded Lettuce, thin sliced Onions and Vinegar and Oil on a delicious French Roll. In my teens and 20's I did try many samplings on their vast menu and as memory serves, everything was always delicious. Today's Grinder absolutely hit the spot! The beef pho meat pie definitely had the pho flavors and aromatics. This was absolutely delicious! The Popcorn Pork was good, not as aromatic as the pho pie. The flavor was lacking on the Taiwanese popcorn chicken basil flavor that it claimed. It reminded me more of a Vietnamese meat pie (pate chaud), which is peppery with a smoother texture that this one did not have, but it was still flavorful. The bread pudding was good but the texture was more dense reminding me of a banana bread loaf. I didn't care for the dollop of yogurt on top, which took away from the flavor of the bread pudding itself. Hubby said the Classic Aussie was good but was expensive for the size of the sandwich (small burger size). Hubby got the Long Black coffee which was good, but sadly my iced matcha latte was lacking in the matcha flavor. It was very pale in color and tasted mostly of milk. Service was quick and friendly. There was a lot of red pepper and it was a bit overwhelming so I wished there wasn't so much. Really enjoyed the pesto since it it wasn't too salty and was the cherry on top to the sandwich! I also really liked that the bread was soft and fresh. Got the "Not so Fried" Chicken Sandwich ($13.68) - 1/2 portion and it came with a side (paid extra $1.26) for tomato basil soup. It consisted of chicken, krispies, mustard pickle slaw, tomatoes, onions, and herb aioli. The bread was very fresh and soft. I'm glad I got this in half portion because I thought this was just ok and nothing special. The tomato basil soup was very oily and salty so wasn't too enjoyable. The Pomegranate Mint Lemonade ($5.10) was sooo sweet. It was refreshing but the mint was a little too overpowering. Definitely recommend adding ice and/or water otherwise it's way too sweet! Overall, the sandwich and salads were a bit pricey but definitely one of the better spots for sandwiches and salads in terms of quality and quantity!

I've been going to Ike's since 2008 (NorCal and socal locations). I got the Ménage…read more The service was great. This was the best Ike's sandwich I've gotten in awhile. I'll definitely be back to this location!

3/5, many vegan and vegetarian options:…read more My first Ike's sandwich was from their West LA location in 2019, and the fact that I remember the year is evidence enough that I am a sandwich fiend. I've gotten at least a dozen sandwiches (and likely more) from Ike's over the years, and it was always my favorite local sandwich shop after they finally opened a location in the northeast side of LA. But I must say, as of late, their quality is really not the same as the past. I recently ordered a sandwich that came with mushrooms and it was barely cooked and mostly raw. Having raw mushrooms in a sandwich is really not it, and considering each sandwich here is about $16+ post tax and tip (yes I did tip), I think we can expect a little better quality, or at the very least, not having basically raw mushrooms in a sandwich. While they do have many sandwiches to choose from on such a vast menu, and everything is customizable (just with additional charges), it does feel like they'd do better if they nail down some of the details like making sure their cooked ingredients are actually cooked. All that said, the store is kept clean, there's some dine in tables as well as outdoor seating. The music indoors is kept loud, and the decor is very colorful and bold. Service feels like what you'd expect from employing recent high school or college students at their first jobs, but it's always been polite. Pictured: one of the many sandwiches I've consumed over the years from Ike's. This one attached happened to be from 2023.
