The experience gets worse and worse each time we go. If you plan to sit around at dirty tables, wait forever for someone to take your order, and waste time, then by all means go eat here. Starting off with our most recent experience. We arrived and put our name in for a 35 minute wait and then headed over to the bar for a drink. As we were walking over we noticed a few empty tables and thought how is there a 35 minute wait when these tables are empty? Anyway, within a few minutes the bar tender served us the drinks we had ordered and all was fine and dandy. Its been about 25 minutes now and nothing from the bar tender. This was our first sign that we should have just left, but I finally yelled out to him for the check. Paid that and moved on outside to our table that was still dirty and disgusting. There were also multiple high tops outside to that had not been cleaned off either. We sat down and the waitress said "I'll be right with you" 10 minutes later still nothing and we had only been given one food menu and the drink menu had what looked like refried beans on it that I could have scraped up and made a meal out of with the amount that was there. We decided that since we have had terrible service on the patio not too long ago that we would just sit inside. So we headed back to the bar again and that was a mistake. I went for some chips and salsa, but forget it, there weren't any bowls for chips. Actually there was one bowl with some gross looking water and food particles in it. I asked the waiter if there were any more and he said they were still being cleaned. I guess they must only have 20 bowls and that is it. I would have used a taco container. Set those out for people to use while the official chip bowls are being cleaned. We just really wanted tacos at this point! They are soooo delicious and we were honestly trying to hold out and stay, but we were never even acknowledged again at the bar and kept being overlooked. We waited for another 5-10 minuets before we got up and left. Its not like they were short staffed either. There were plenty of workers walking around and one guy behind the bar just seemed to be wandering around doing who knows what. We decided to go to Urban Meyer's and that was the best decision! Once we were seated, we got to talking to the waitress and she said that local cantina was horrendous during her last visit as well. She basically said that she and her friend experienced the same thing that we had just gone through. At the end of the night the tacos I ordered at Urban Meyer's were honestly so delicious! Looks like we will be going back there and to Condados again. read more

I want to start off this review by saying I had an awesome server, and the food tasted great. But the reason for the two stars is some thing that rub me the wrong way, and I didn't think was appropriate. I am vegetarian and I was getting food there the other day, with someone who is not vegetarian when the food was brought. Which was fine to ensure that the right order was given to each person. But before I could even answer, he pointed at me and said you right.... and that made me feel very uncomfortable for him to make that assumption and it he was clearly basing it off of how I looked. Which definitely rubbed me the wrong way. This was the first time. I had an odd experience like this here that's the main reason for the two stars. read more

I called today at 12:37 to be exact. I'm still in the parking lot. It's 11:18 at the time I called to let them know I was leaving because my order wasn't ready which was only supposed to take 15 minutes and because I said I called at 12:30 instead of apologizing for the inconvenience she told me it wasn't 1230. It was 1237. It's still almost an hour. I really wanted to try the food. The lady wasn't rude, but I was very offended because that still doesn't make any sense. Then I stood there. The lady told me to stand at the register where you do pick up to go orders . Not once did she say oh it's not ready to sit down so I stood there for 10 minutes until I finally caught on she was gonna just leave me standing there I really wanted to try the food. I can't see myself spending money at a business like this. It was beautiful inside food was probably great too just bad for service . I'm really upset. I wasted my whole lunch break on this but I'll get over it. It happens no apology. No anything just oh it's ready now that's crazy. read more

This was by far the nicest Local Cantina I've ever been to, probably because it's new. Service was great, I love the open garage doors, the comfy booths and the free parking everywhere!! I went with the Plain Jane Quesadilla with steak and it was delicious. I never pass up one of their Blood Orange Margaritas, although this time I also tried the Colada Rita and it was really good! For the first time ever I also ordered dessert, we had their yellow spongy cake with ice cream. It wasn't bad but is definitely all processed sugar and tastes like it so you're not missing out if you pass on it. Definitely excited to go back to this location! read more

Local cantina is our go to taco place, especially for taco Tuesdays. They have a great taco Tuesdays specials, 2.00 tacos and FREE chips and salsa. They have have happy hour from 4-6 with lots of great drink specials, including their house margarita, the mustache ride. They have an outdoor patio but it is on the smaller side. Along with their indoor space as well. They are looking at expanding their indoor space soon. Staff is has always been very pleasant and helpful. read more

Remember that old Wendy's ad from the 80's "Where's the Beef?" My experience here on a beautiful, sunny late afternoon/early evening was "Where's the Fish?!?" We decided on Local Cantina after a walk over the bridge, and everything was great (seating, service, cool atmosphere/vibe, etc.) until I got my order for a baja burrito, which is a FISH burrito. After I got more than halfway done, I realized I was "enjoying" a 99% RICE burrito with a tiny bit of guac. and maybe 3 black beans instead. While the Mr. enjoyed his plain jane quesadillas with steak (that's the name!!) he couldn't help but notice that I was less than "enthused" about my choice. I absolutely HATE having to complain to wait staff/management, but when our HELPFUL waitress was not able to help, we consulted (nicely...) with the manager, who sent out 2 pieces of greasy fried fish to "add" to my 3/4 eaten burrito(!!) Well... I **suppose** if I wasn't nearly finished in my "quest" to find fish in that baja burrito, that might have been ok, but truthfully, I felt like I was getting a "shut up lady, here's your F'IN fish!!" kind of response, which I didn't think I deserved. What kitchen puts together a FISH burrito without the fish?? They were not extremely busy (no excuse) and we were NOT being jerks, but to make a dopey, longer than necessary story short, with some "friendly" persuasion, we got the $10.00 burrito taken off the bill, which should have been offered without us having to ask. NOT the waitress' fault; she was as helpful as she could be, and it's not her fault her manager's a bit of a @#$%*!! I still liked the place, including the cozy, cantina decor, plenty of tempting options on the menu (check for your fish!!!) and the indoor/outdoor dining options. My co-workers and I spend a fair bit of time working near Columbus. We stay in the Dublin area and eat at a lot of different places in the area. If you are looking for pretty decent food and sub-par service this is your place. I would have given them 5 stars had the service been better any of the times we have ate there. The food comes out pretty quickly but then the staff sorta disappears. Music choice at the place is always on point. I will certainly go back knowing it will not be awesome but pretty good. read more

Cool vibe upon entry, arrived on a Saturday around 1:30pm and we were immediately seated. We learned they have a serve yourself chips and salsa bar. The chips were very good as were the salsas we selected. The menu has many of the standard Categories that you would expect to see on a Mexican restaurant menu including tacos, burritos, Quesadillas, fajitas, nachos yet they seem to have diversity covered when it comes to the taco fillings. I don't think they have anyone who wouldn't find a filling they like and while so many Mexican restaurants require you to order three of the same taco local Cantina will allow you to order single tacos creating an opportunity to try different fillings which I really appreciate. Our server was nice, and even brought the manager over to apologize for what she felt was a long wait for our food even though we did not. Once received we felt food was mediocre. Tonight stopped in while in cBus for meetings before returning to NW Ohio. The food was excellently prepared and had a nice taste to it. The Colorado Burrito and the spice level was great for my taste buds. Now with that said I will say that if you have a tendency to like mildly spiced food then be aware. The spice was hot, which I like, yet it was hot. I think most of the spice was contained to the green chilies which were on top of the burrito. We also had Hong Kong Phooey Taco without the Sriracha sauce. This was a wise decision as the member of our group enjoys mild to medium spice. Without the Sriracha the taco was defiantly on the mild side. We also had a member of our party had the Grilled Fish taco and they loved it. Overall the atmosphere was engaging even though it was very loud. Having the doors open helped tremendously yet I suspect with all the doors closed in the winter I could see it being very loud. The only two complaints were the the silverware was dirty and took a couple attempts to find clean silverware. The second was the menus were very hard to read as they were scratched and clearly overused. We ended up pulling up the menu on our phones to be able to read everything. Finally I will add that our server, Morgan, was excellent. She was on top of everything and even when something was forgotten she corrected it quickly and was very pleasant. I would say that her attention helped making any issues be non-issues. For not being a cBus native this was a nice catch. I would recommend this location for good food, nice atmosphere (even though can be loud) and a different choice. read more

We enjoyed this location! Honestly, I'm a fan of anything thats located in Bridge Park! It was trivia night so they had that going when we walked in. We sat ourselves and also helped ourselves to chips and salsa. I got the shrimp tempura and veggie taco. I really liked the shrimp tempura one! It was different and I loved the sauce they put on it. Boyfriend got the chicken taco salad which came in a taco shell. Good amount, the chipotle agave and chipotle ranch were both really good as well! The server was attentive and nice. I ate here the other day with my family, and it's been a while since we have had service this bad. The waitress, a light skin girl with a blonde ponytail, clearly hates her job. She was ridiculously rude to the point where my 5 year old even noticed. We are seated to a dirty table. This took me by surprise as every other restaurant is over the top right now with their cleanliness (covid-19). But I'm honestly not too worried about catching the virus. The table had crumbs all over it, and Lotte bits of food. So clearly, the table wasn't cleaned. No big deal right? Who cares, I thought. I'll just ask the waitress to clean it. She comes to take our drink order. I literally see her look at how messy the table is. She made eye contact with the leftover food! Lol! She didn't say anything. I politely ask her if she could clean off the table. She sighs and comes back with a rag. Knocks the crumbs all over everyone. Instead of pulling it off the end of the table, she just knocks it all over our laps and says "ok is that good?" But doesn't even wait for a response as she leaves the table. She clearly missed 30% of the table on purpose. That's when my 5 year old giggles and says "she didn't even clean all of it. Throughout our dinner, she continues to act like we are bothering her. My wife ordered a fajita quesadilla. She got a regular quesadilla. She told her that was not what she ordered. The girl didn't say sorry, didn't say anything at all. She just picks it up and walks away. Our bill came and I still tipped her. Not nearly as much as I would have if she would have not been terrible. Overall, I doubt we ever come back. The food was not what I typically would order. When it came, I thought it looked bland. But the flavors actually mixed pretty well. The ingredients seemed fresh. I'm pretty annoyed at the fact that people like that can stay employed, and I know with my luck, we would probably get her again. There is NO excuse for that type of behavior. I don't care if you "had a bad day" that day. You don't take it out on customers. At some point you have to grow up and face the real world. My friends and I came to Local Cantina, hoping to each enjoy a drink and some tacos before meeting some other friends out. We presented our IDs no problem and were surprised when 2 managers came by to tell us that 3 of our 6 IDs were fake simply because "theres no way we all have real out of state IDs." Somehow forgetting that people can go to college together from different states. We told them they are welcome to call the cops to scan them for us and they told us they had no time for it and kicked us out and claimed that we punched a tv otw out, when in reality we got up and calmly left as soon as they ceased service. This was an easy stop after a day at the zoo. I like the layout of this new location; this was my first visit here. We sat at a high-top inside but right by the patio, so it was the best of both worlds since it was a warm, sunny day (we could see the tv too). The service was a bit slow, but our server was sweet. It took longer than it should have to get drinks and water refills. The food was wonderful. I had my go-to tacos which are Cantina Fish and Baja Shrimp. I added the new Nashville Hot Chicken (not sure if trying out only at this location?), but it was wonderful. A great menu add! Atmosphere and drinks were good but service was sub-par and the food was terrible. I ordered the breakfast bowl off the brunch menu. The menu described it as having black or refried beans, cilantro, pico, creme sauce, potatoes, egg and cheese. It included bacon which I asked to be left off. What I received was a bowl of terrible french fries with cold eggs and a little cheese. No seasoning or any of the other items described. When I expressed my surprise about what I received vs what I expected I was told this was the menu item. I was told I could have beans on the side if I wanted. I have had good lunch/dinner menu items but have always had poor service experiences. Maybe they should rethink brunch. read more

This place is in a prime local off of Bridge Park Ave. My daughter and I love to try new places in the area. So we took a chance at this funky and jazzy place. However it really was a disappointment. The food was ok. It's not somewhere we left saying, we gotta come back. We love tacos and I did try 3 different tacos. All 3 were again ok. I truly wanted to love this place. male 22 - Got carded and told I had a fake. My fiancé as well as other college graduate friends tried to explain why we had different states on our licenses. Because we are from different states. As is usual when people go to college. They proceeded to threaten to call the cops which I begged them to actually do. They did not. Instead we were all returned our "fakes" (which if they were actually fake they are supposed to keep, so they knew they screwed up) and then they proceeded to tell us they didn't have time for us. There's nothing wrong with local cantina, but there's also nothing that makes it stand out or makes it amazing. The free chips and salsa are nice, but certainly nothing special. The tacos, fajitas, quesadillas are all average. Probably the biggest plus is that the prices are reasonable and there is a nice selection of alcoholic beverages. read more

Was so excited to do Taco Tuesday with my 2 kids so we went to local cantina , 5 mins from our house at bridge park. We waited for one full hour and then when our turn came, the hostess, probably no fault of her own, took us to the room next to the main dining area and gave us a table where the area looked like a games room, a broom and scoop full of dirt behind the table and the restrooms right behind the table. You have got to be kidding me. We went back to the hostess and told her to get me a table where I can have dinner cause as far as I know the food is not free and need to be treated with respect. Disgusted of course by this but I was with my kids so decided to wait more and we finally got a table outside. Like who runs this place? Where is the manager?
