My 35 year old garage door was already due for repair when one of the cables broke. I contacted Local Garage Doors and they said they could get a technician out in several hours, between 2-4 PM (he actually arrived at 5:30 due to the previous appointment running late). I'm accustomed to the challenges of local repair work and companies seeking to squeeze in as many appointments as possible for their technicians, so wouldn't lower my rating on this occasion. My technician, Luca, was very qualified, professional, and customer-focused. He provided the price estimate beforehand, and although it seemed a bit expensive, it was worthwhile for the repairs required of a 35-year old garage door which had never been repaired. Not only had the cable broken, but the tracks were out of alignment, and several parts had to be replaced. He also applied Silicone spray for lubrication, and showed me in detail how to do so (and which parts were most critical, and how often) myself. The warranties seemed reasonable too. fantastic Service I called them early in the morning and they arrived exactly on time at 3 PM as promised Eli was able to identify the problem with the door opening and closing. He adjusted all of the bolts and aligned the door properly so that it would close and he even put in a new roller that I had completing that project. The door now closes perfectly, and the metal frame doesn't move at all, so I am very pleased with the work. He also recommended replacing the opener which does not have a UPS in it, which is good advice and I will start to look into that. read more

Stay away from this company. They came to my house and gave me a bid to replace the garage door. They sent me the bid I signed and arranged the installation date. The day of installation they came and tried to raise the price by an additional $1500. Which I refused and told them to pack and leave. I have another company do the same exact job for half the price. read more

Service tech refused to take my no for repairs and had my husband (whom is disabled to sign and approved), had scheduled so I could be home but they changed time last minute to a later time, asked he wait while is driving home and instead urged my husband to sign and pay for clipping something back to fix their original installment. $269 for a fix they should have done to their installment. I received a text message when the technician arrived. But he was not at my house. He was at the neighbors house. I ordered their $95.00 "Lube & Tune". The technician immediately started telling me things that were wrong and "upselling" me. It felt like a sales call more than a check up and adjust settings. He wanted to charge me to adjust my opener when they were the company that installed it. I'll be looking for a different company next time. read more

The stars given are for kind service. These guys were nice. The garage fab I just paid local garage doors was $100. Online the same fab is $20-30. To install they charged $85. This takes no time to install. Overcharged and that never leaves a customer happy. read more

Company scheduled a 1:00 to 3:00 appointment. They did not show up. I called and they said tech was delayed. I proceeded to get texts saying tech was finishing another job and woukd be delayed. At 5:49pm they texted requesting rescheduling. I agreed to 9:00am on another day. Same thing, texts saying tech was delayed then at 11:05 a text asking again to reschedule. I declined. Very disappointed with Local Garage Doors. They installed or adjusted my garage door springs three separate times over the past few years, and I recently learned from another contractor that two of the springs were not installed properly. As a result, my garage motor burned out. When I reached out to Local Garage Doors, they said it was outside the warranty by just a couple of months and would not help with the motor or the spring adjustment. I expected them to stand behind their work, especially given the history, but they did not. I would not use them again. read more

Good work, poor business practice. A single spring replacement and cable replacement was quoted at $550. Two guys did a good job, worked quickly and the door is working again. After they were doneI was informed they also did a lube & tune (unapproved by my wife or I) which added $195 to the total cost. Not getting approval for additional work is not ok. They also didn't apply the 20% off coupon which is another ding. read more

He also installed new sensors and lubricated the wheels and rails for the door. Following the install, Mario reviewed the entire system with me to ensure that I understood the various functions. I wanted to replace my garage door rollers which are 30 years old. Andy Carver is the technician who came from the Local Garage Door Company and clearly explained the different kinds of rollers helping me to decide which was right for me. He is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He even took the time to show me how to oil the different parts needing oil. He was very patient in answering our questions. He didn't push us towards a specific brand (motor with battery back-up) although he made recommendations based on our specific needs. Service people are always late or don't show up on day scheduled. today came out for poping sound on new systen they installed 1 1/2 months ago and wanted to charge me $200 fee as he said they didn't install the track. I said I paid you for a complete system why no new tracks and the poping sound is still there. So think before letting them do work for you. read more

This is part 2 of my initial review. The first technician told me that the only way to fix my problem of a glitchy opener was to replace the motor. I foolishly agreed. I was sold a unit that gave me more problems than my original unit. It doesn't even work. I was sold something I didn't need and currently there is no recourse. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! The $49 garage door tune-up consists of nothing more than a guy coming out and spraying all of the hinges on the door with a sickeningly sweet-smelling oil and telling me several things on the door that need replacing/repairing (even though it works perfectly). A week later I'm still trying to clean the overspray of the oil off of the walls, floor and items that were near the garage door to get rid of the smell. What a waste of $49!
