We ate dinner at this restaurant in Pigeon Forge. It has delicious food with unusual options like the deep fried deviled eggs.

Yeah sooo I was traveling for business and I came here with a coworker who had read the reviews and wanted to check it out. So the place is nice inside pretty large area lots of tables and a separate bar area. Having said that, The food was absolutely disgusting. I never write this but I was shocked at the reviews for this place. Are y'all joking? Am I missing something? My coworker was also appalled. I got shrimp and grits and thinking I'm in the south they'd be good. NOPE. Whatever they put in front of me looked like someone had gotten sick and they served it to me. I attempted to eat it, I really did. It was not appetizing in the slightest. It didn't even look like food...My friend got one of the popular pasta dishes and also did not like it. It was very suspicious that our food came out like as we were still ordering it... like how? Did you just microwave it? We also got two appetizers that were forgettable at best. The steak nachos were stale and were obviously under a heat lamp and some type of cheese fondu concoction.. Wish I was kidding. I don't ever send food back or complain. We just left. These burgers were amazing! I very much enjoyed my lamb burger, which included goat cheese and a side of skinny fries & ketchup. My husband had the Smokehouse Burger and was delish as well. For our appetizer, we had stuffed piquillo peppers with goat cheese *richness from the goat cheese and sweetness from the peppers. So good. We didn't have a reservation and waited about 50 min until we were seated. They will send you a text when your table is ready. We went at the end of October which is definitely a busy month due to the autumn foliage everyone wants to view. Most of the staff are wearing mask, but didn't seem to be taken too seriously between the some staff and the customers walking around. Hand sanitizer is provided. Went here for lunch yesterday because of the wonderful comments by my in-laws and I'm gonna just say they were very accurate. I got the Whiskey glazed Tennessee burger and it was delicious. The service by our waitress Ashley was just as wonderful, she kept our drinks full, our service very quick and she made sure we left with very full bellies. Absolutely delicious and wonderful experience and a must stop next time I'm in town. read more

A good thing about this restaurant is that they accept reservations. Most places in Pigeon Forge do not. The food was really good. The steak was seasoned very well, and the wife loved the pasta. I wasn't a fan of the cheese fondo, but my wife enjoyed it. I will go back and try one of thr other appetizers and probably a burger. Their burgers looked amazing. read more

Entrees were amazing, will definitely come back. We are from Louisiana so that's saying a lot, it was very well seasoned and had loads of flavor. One of the best meals we've had in the state so far, especially for it being on a tourist trap street. High quality tasting ingredients. Server had a lot to say to my "what do you recommend" questions but basically told us to order something different rather than chicken tenders which wasn't very helpful. Wish we skipped in the deviled eggs, besides the jerky topping they had just about no flavor needed a lot of salt and pepper, and were neither cold or hot so it was a strange tasting profile, but they were different so we ordered them. Prices are fair and portions are large, the place itself looked very formal so wear nice clothes, but there isn't a dress code so don't feel too stressed about your clothes. Fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil so that may have explained why the deviled eggs were poor. read more

Multiple people in town recommended this place so we came here for a late lunch. It is always packed and was no different when we arrived. But we must have caught the tail end of the rush because our party of 4 was seated immediately at a booth near the back corner. Our server was immediately with us and made good suggestions. We started with the deviled eggs, which they deep fried the egg white portion. Definitely unique, but not my favorite. I got the ribs for my entree and they were the most tender ribs I have ever had. More tender than any BBQ place I have ever been to. The portions are huge and we had leftovers for sure! Minus one star as the tables were not distanced, but otherwise a great experience! read more

Aside from the cocktails being water with color, the food was simply nothing short of giving you the itis!!! We ordered two drinks that tasted like juice. No one could taste any alcohol. And I was shocked to find out that lemonade was not on the menu. Who doesn't have lemonade? David was our server and he definitely left a lasting impression on us! He's the type of server you want on your team. From the time he greeted us to bringing us his check, he never once neglected us in anyway. He gave us suggestions on what to order, stayed engaged the entire time, kept us laughing and just simply made our night. In fact, he secured another visit from us as well as spreading the word. Food - 5 stars Service - 5 stars Environment/Ambience - 5 stars Location - 5 stars; right across from our hotel Drinks - 1 star for creativity, but lacks alcohol; not enough. Bonus: the Cush or Kush beer was a hit!!! David recommended this beer and my boyfriend loved. He's a Heineken guy, but this was a great substitute. We'll definitely return for the food. Y'all! I can't even begin to tell you how good this food was. They locally source most of their ingredients so you're getting the freshest of the fresh. I have to say, they had the BEST fried green tomatoes I've ever eaten! No joke! It is slap your grandma good! I normally don't like the tartness of the green tomatoes, but the sauce, caramelized onions, and feta cheese they put on them really adds balance to the flavors. I ordered the teriyaki marinated sirloin kabobs with steamed broccoli and fried rice. Oh my goodness! The steak was cooked perfectly and was so tender! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My hubby ordered the sirloin steak with a baked potato. I tried his steak and it, too, was so tender and flavorful. We finished our meal with the chocolate peanut butter pie and bread pudding (had to get it to go for later because I was so full!). This was definitely the best meal we had while visiting the Pigeon Forge area. The server was so prompt and helpful. It is called the local GOAT for a reason! Next round, not much better. Grits were bland. Cole slaw was okay. Nothing special. Bison burger not cooked to order. Coconut Shrimp were okay. French fries greasy. Overall disappointed. I ordered the ribs off GF menu. Having some issues, so maybe not so gluten free. I would skip this place entirely. Ambience was nothing special. The music was loud. It looks like a chain restaurant, and it might be, but it tastes better to me. There is one in Chattanooga I think, but I have only been to this one. At this point, I have had one of their burgers which was amazing, a salad which was better than other chain salads for sure. The sweet potato casserole made my dad practically lick the bowl. All of my nine family members really enjoyed their food. Service is excellent; no complaints there. However the menu is large & overwhelming, and it was hard to make a decision. We ended up getting the Ahi Tuna and the wicked shrimp. The waiter asked me if I'd like my tuna "sushi style" and it literally came out cold and rare. Could not eat it- but maybe that was my own fault. The wicked shrimp was good, just very spicy. We did enjoy the onion ring appetizer. Overall, our bill was almost $100 for two, and we left pretty underwhelmed, despite the raging reviews. This restaurant is so highly recommended from everyone you talk to. We arrived right at opening as its very hard to get into there establishment. Love the atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Upon walking in it smelled good, but as we were sat it kind of smelled like dirty feet. Service was very fast, we were in and out in about 45 minutes, we had three courses. We started with the spinach artichoke dip, we really liked it. We added salads to our entrees, they were very good and their ranch is excellent. For entrees I had the chicken tenders, they were just basic chicken tenders not much seasoning. The fries were seasoned perfectly, the coleslaw also lacked and wasn't cold. My boyfriend had the plant based burger and was disappointed as well, he said it tasted gamy? We talked to some other people we saw there and they said they weren't impressed either and wouldn't return. read more

The Local Goat makes quite the decent sized burgers and then I had my first fried devilled eggs here (which seem to have become a popular offering on the area menus). Being from New Orleans and also having had a Mississippi grandmother that loved to fry all sorts of things there are very few things I haven't yet had fried so good job Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for finding one more thing to fry for me to try. The restaurant was of the more modern decor type and the ambiance was decent in the dining room areas with a bit of playful decoration with their goat theme while the bar area actually looked more to my preference. The service was generally quite good with my waitress only forgetting a couple of things which considering how slammed busy her section was that wasn't too terrible in these damnably challenging pandemic times of eating out. The cheesecake I got for dessert was quite in the same vein as my burger which would mean it was on the larger size of the spectrum. I have had larger burgers and bigger cheesecake slices but not in many places. Overall this is certainly a pleasant place to eat and the only downside I had was the really expensive t-shirt prices as I HAD to buy my friend THE GOAT a Local Goat shirt simply as a matter of course but I think the t-shirt here might have been the most expensive t-shirt I have EVER purchased anywhere...(it was a very nicely made t-shirt with a nice pocket but still very expensive for just a t-shirt that is then going to be advertising for the establishment... so shouldn't they discount it or even pay me/my pal THE GOAT to wear the shirt for the ad???) I actually would have bought two shirts and gotten one for myself too but not at the price they were charging. Another big bonus is they have a really large parking lot right in front so that makes things very easy for folks. Sat down right away. Large parking lot. Waitress was prompt and professional (Alex). Menu is really deep with so many varieties do burgers and other stuff. Son had a nice looking burger and they have sesame and non sesame buns. Son has an allergy. The other bun is like an everything bagel type bun (seasoning). It's very good. If you check in you get 10% off which is nice. For a restaurant claiming to take COVID seriously, they don't let people congregate in lobby but they will seat back to back to back booths when there is PLENTY of space available. Good and service are a 5. COVID strategy is a 2 or 3. You cannot say you're taking COVID seriously and pack booths back to back for no reason at all. We had driven by Local Goat several times and were astonished at how packed their parking lot was any time during the day. After doing some online research, our family decided to go to Local Goat for an early dinner after a busy day. Thinking we would get there early to grab a table, the Local Goat parking lot was full and there was a wait right at five. No worries, the Local Goat staff got us in and the wait was reasonable, Our family ordered drinks and our dinner right away. The Amber craft beer I had from the area was one of the best I have had. Everything is house made and tastes fresh. My wife goat a chicken teriyaki entree that she loved. My daughter had a hamburger that she devoured. The fries shocked us all at how good they were because they certainly were frozen. My fish and chips were one of the best I have had in a long time. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The one thing we noticed about Local Goat, they had plenty of staff to help clean tables, be food runners, and assist the wait staff. Some restaurants do not have enough staff to handle a large amount of foot traffic but Local Goat did. Our experience was very good at the Local Goat. First time eating here, it won't be the last time. I got the 7 ounce steak with the crab cake along with two sides, it was so good. My daughter said it was the best steak she ever tried. My wife got the teriyaki kabobs and she liked it. The cheesecake was so freaking awesome. The bread pudding was really good also. The Joe vs The Volcano drink is really good also.
