I will start with the positives. The food was fresh and fantastic. The beer cheese dip was a great appetizer to share. My sons enjoyed their burger and ribs. The fries were just average. Our server (I wish I remembered his name... he did just move from Florida) was so kind and accommodating. Onto what was not good and why I would recommend that you NOT come here for sit in dining until after covid. There is ZERO social distancing in this restaurant. Every table and booth was used. People weren't six feet away, in some situations they were less than 6 inches away. I also noticed many patrons without masks and no one saying a thing. I saw some staff with them around their neck. (3.8) This establishment started out hot and kinda fizzled out due to poor communication and the lack of service in regards to filling up my beverage (coke). The poor communication portion was because it was "happy hour" so my stepfather decided to order a beer only to find out when the bill arrived that it would be full price because it wasn't from the draft it was bottled. Besides these 2 issues it would've been a (4.2). I ordered the Bleu Burger which is a blue cheese burger with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. It was good but in my opinion they skimped out on the bleu cheese. Fries were warm and crispy and the atmosphere was good. Not too loud but not so quiet you could hear a pin drop. I really like the story behind this place. I also like that they make about 99% of their meals and drinks from scratch. If they are missing an ingredient, they will let you know. For example, I ordered an alcoholic drink that required fresh mint. The waiter came to me to let me know that they don't have mint to make the drink. I told him that it was totally fine if they made it without the mint. It was still good without it! Appetizers- You have to get their Deep Fried Deviled Eggs! They were surprisingly really good and different! It's Panko breaded deviled eggs, with candied bacon, sriracha, and green onions. Entrees: Their burgers were delicious! They make their own buns! Smokehouse Burger with shoelace fries. It has Smoked gouda cheese, BBQ sauce, caramelized onions, and smoked bacon! TN Whiskey Glazed Burger with shoelace fries. It has TN whiskey glaze, smoked bacon, crispy onions, and garlic aioli. If you want, you can add cheese to it like I did. I would recommend that you call ahead to make reservations. My parents live in East Tennessee and have visited a few times. It is always so busy but we finally got to try it & wow-- 10/10!! I had the wicked shrimp pasta and the waiter said it was one of his favorite menu items, it was amazing! It was definitely enough to share, since we got an appetizer. All of the portions were generous for all of the entrees. We also got the fried deviled eggs and they were good! We would get them again. Drink menu was large as well! The whole experience was awesome! They were extremely busy but the estimated 30 minute wait was more like 10. The service was top notch. But the food was definitely the crowd pleaser. My 16 year old daughter was rating it a 10 outa 10 two bites into her chicken sandwich. She finished the whole plate and that's rare. The bison burger was legit one of the best burgers I've ever had. The Local Goat goes the distance in giving you some fantastic food options while visiting the area. Starting off with the BBQ chicken nachos is the perfect way to begin your meal. The combination of chicken, cheese and the rest of the fixings were in the right proportions and blended well together on the plate they were served upon. My family ordered a variety of burgers from the Pimento burger loaded with delicious bacon jam to the Smokehouse loaded with Gouda, BBQ sauce and smoked bacon. Then the Tavern Chicken Sandwich to change it up a bit with shaved ham, avocado and provolone cheese. They were all accompanied by the freshest hand cut fries we've had in a long time. The meal was finished off with the Creme Brulee with seasonal Berries, which was perfectly cooked and served. Aside from the astronomical wait time to get into the establishment to be seated, everything was excellent and quite enjoyable, which is probably why the place has such a long wait. Went on a busy Saturday afternoon for lunch and they still got our party of 4 seated right away. The food and service were both fantastic- we ordered appetizers (deep fried deviled eggs and fried tomatoes), burgers, and brews. I got the Elvis burger, which had peanut butter, bacon, and friend banana on top! My only complaint was that we asked the waitress to split the check in half and she accidentally charged the same card twice and gave it back to the wrong person (we found out a day later when we needed to use our card at the grocery store and we didn't have the right card ). On the main strip in pigeon forge - we stopped to grab a bite to eat before checking in our cabin. They were busy but we used the join waitlist function and arrived and were seated in 5 mins. It was very loud and crowded but we got a booth and ordered fried deviled eggs. I guess I was expecting the complete deviled egg to be fried but only the egg white was fried and the yolk mixture was setting on top. They were good but not the surprise we thought they would be. We decided to share the Bison meatloaf which was tasty but very salty. I think this place is good but not sure it is anything special. We got seated after about an hour wait. Not terrible for a no reservation restaurant. Bartender Megan was great. Two of our party ordered shrimp & grits. The recipe seemed to be different from our last visit. I thought it was really bad. My plate was not hot, and by the time I picked out everything that wasn't shrimp & grits, there wasn't much left. We were told 30 minutes but got seated in about 10...great start! Next comes our waiter Jeff...the dude is a rockstar! He gets our drinks, order taken and food to our table in about 10-15 minutes. After living in LA for 17 years, Local Goat could be a national chain. Their dedication to local and farm fresh food, no preservatives is fantastic. 5 stars for the food - so delicious from the apps to the dessert. We started with the deep fried deviled eggs and cheese fondue. We split the ribeye, delicious side salad and loaded baked potato. It was cooked perfect and crazy flavorful. For dessert we had the white chocolate bread pudding which was AMAZING! I wish I wasn't so full, although my husband was probably happy I couldn't eat more. Great and friendly manager, and they are trying really hard to adapt to Coronavirus regulations. People had to wait outside. Everyone was wearing gloves, but I don't know how often hand washing etc is being enforced. Service was a little slow, but not torturously so. The restaurant was very clean.
