I recently purchased two IKEA BRIMNES cabinets with glass doors (30 3/4" x 37 3/8") but only to…read morerealize they were too heavy (over 80 lbs each) to assemble on my own. I decided to hire a professional assembler again and opted to try a different company this time for comparison. [Quote and scheduling]: Assembly Masters do not list pricing information on their website. Customers must request a quote via the "GET A FREE QUOTE HERE" button on the website or by calling their contact number. I submitted my request online and received an initial quote of $119.00 (flat rate with no tax) for one cabinet. However, I clarified that my initial job request was assembling two IKEA BRIMNES cabinets and the representative apologized for the typo. Unlike few other assembly companies, Assembly Masters require (1) customers to provide their full address and phone number for order confirmation and (2) provide credit card information to secure the appointment. I later called their number where I spoke with Todd who was very friendly. He finalized my appointment and processed my credit payment payment over the phone. [Service terms and conditions]: Here are some key service terms and conditions to be aware of - * FREE street / validated or paid parking by customer; parking to be provided for Assembler * All boxes to be located in the desired area for assembly prior to arrival * Attaching Items to the wall is an optional service - added charge may apply * Moving items to another room after Assembly is not included * Empty boxes and debris are stacked neatly for disposal by customer * Assemblers do not haul trash/ boxes away after service is complete * Assemblers are NOT required to move existing furniture/ Items * Pictures/ Video of assembly are taken by Assembler for verification [Process]: The technician Alvaro arrived within 24 hours of my booking and within the 3-hour scheduled time window. He was friendly and well-prepared with his tools. Alvaro was able to complete the assembly of both IKEA BRIMNES cabinets in just over an hour. [Conclusion]: Assembly Masters provided a reasonable quote and completed the job efficiently. However, few areas could use improvement including (1) allowing customers to pay in cash or by credit card in person before the job begins rather than requiring payment over the phone, (2) listing clear service prices (or price range) on the website instead of requiring customers to request a quote, and (3) offering to haul away empty boxes instead of leaving them to the customer. Personally these are relatively minor issues, but another furniture assembly company I recently worked with managed to accomplish all three of these areas in addition to completing the assembly job. If these points are not dealbreakers, Assembly Masters is still a solid choice for anyone looking to save time assembling IKEA furniture.

After I had the chairs back for a week or so, a small problem surfaced, and he stood behind his work guarantee, and rectified the problem. Nicole then reached out and we scheduled the work. Welllll, I should have gone with my gut on this one. Avoid these folks if possible. The 'repairs' that Sean completed are awful. Please see the photos that I uploaded. The caulking job and wall look terrible, the moulding was not measured properly, our floor was damaged during the work, and Sean left a mess all over the office. In addition, if someone is paying you by the hour, move with some sense of urgency. Don't drag out the work. Nicole did offer to have him come back out and make repairs but they were not flexible with the schedule and I didn't want him back out during office hours as it is disruptive. I asked for a partial credit for the work instead. They tried to give me $35 off for the damage to the floor. Um no. This went back and forth until one day Sean showed up at my office with some ridiculous agreement he wanted me to sign. He refused to leave until someone signed off on it and sat down on our couch in reception. I had to threaten to call the police and tell them that he was trespassing in order to get him to leave. DO NOT COME TO MY OFFICE AND TRY TO PHYSICALLY INTIMIDATE ME!!!!!! There were then multiple threats to send us to collection and Nicole had a 'third party' reach out to me for settlement terms. I finally just settled at a significant discount to get these jerks off my back. So unprofessional. What a waste of time and money. 2 months of my life I can't get back. If only Yelp allowed negative stars.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our move out date and packing dates had to be changed multiple times, but Iliya worked with us patiently to help find us a crew within just a few days that was able to move us out efficiently and conveniently. The team handled everything professionally and efficiently. One of the most impressive parts was watching them use straps to safely lower our bed frame down to the first floor--they made a difficult task look easy. They came fully prepared with all the necessary moving supplies, including wardrobe boxes, and even provided protective materials for our delicate tiles, making sure everything was properly covered and protected. Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. Shoutout to Mario! They really respected our home and were very considerate of us during construction. Even after everything was finished, they guaranteed that they would come back and fix anything that needed fixing. Cannot recommend them enough if you want to improve or build your new home!

Shawn was easy to reach, responsive, and great to work with throughout the project. The crew showed up on time, kept things clean, and finished everything in under 5 weeks. We did new tile, vanity, lighting, and a walk-in shower, and the quality really shows. Hard to find a contractor this consistent and reliable. Pricing felt fair too, especially for the level of work. Definitely recommend MDM Remodeling if you're doing a bathroom remodel in Los Angeles we'll be using them again.
