Wow! A gem of a store. First of all the owners were both awesome, having decades of experience in the commercieal cleaning supply and chemical business... and it showed. I forgot what it's like to go into a store (without a mask, yess!))) where the associates actually know what they're talking about. I could tell after a few minutes of walking around that this Mom and Son team are experts based on the products they carried. I was impressed to see the best of the best chemicals, Thornell Odorcide, Pros Choice Carpet Care and Stone Pro Tile and Stone. This was the second repair place i had called (as i was getting quotes) and he took the time to walk me through a simple fix for the electrical cord i had broken. I read a disturbing post on Next Door by a Jack How, that misleadingly compared Local Janitorial Service's 36 rolls of commercial grade 800 + sheets to Costco's 36 rolls of 200 + rolls. Apples to Oranges! These are not even close! I don't understand why anyone would post such a misleading post, especially since he admittedly only heard all of this second hand. This is irresponsible and vicious! To attempt to ruin someone's life and livelihood with only a second hand source. I actually went down there myself and saw the actual rolls. Brought in my Dyson which was still working but making a loud noise. The employee inspected it then balanced it upside down on the handle (who does that?). It of course fell over and hit the ground with a loud crash. The employee picked it up and again balanced it upside down on the handle. Another employee (older) adminished him saying "why would you do that?" and put the vacuum upright. Tried to sell me a $1000 vacuum. Dyson no longer works (anybody surprised?). I have been coming to these guys at Local Janitorial for many years now. My experiences have always been positive and they have a wide variety of products / repair services at reasonable prices. For those products that are not currently on stock they have special ordered them and gotten it to me a couple days. Both Scott and Nelson are very personable and always there if you have a product need or question. They even rent Uhaul trucks which has come in handy on a several occasions. Today April 22, 2020 they were selling hand sanitizer, 8oz for $12.99 plus tax, ( a $2.89 item ) 2 weeks ago they had a sign posted that they had Toilet Paper,( my 80+ year old neighbor asked me is I saw some to buy for her as this Covid-19 does not allow her to go out) They were selling a box of 32 rolls, the TP that you find in stadiums ( cheap stuff) and they wanted $135 plus tax , almost $150 bucks... They should be ashamed of themselves for PRICE GOUGING... I would never trust a business that does price gouging .... read more

I was in the market for a new vacuum and was considering investing in a Miele. I did some research online, but wanted to go to a Miele dealer and learn the differences in the models. I was greeted by Nelson at the store who proceeded to take the time to go over every aspect of the different models and answered every question I had. In addition, they were offering a 20% discount on any Miele vacuum, something I could not find in any other store or online. I told Nelson I needed to think about it and would come back. There was no sales pressure, just sincere and honest information. I did go back 2 days later and purchased a Miele vacuum. As far as customer service, Nelson gets a 10 out of 10!! This business also rents U-Haul trucks. We rented a pickup truck Friday 09/03/10. After we returned home with the rental, we found vomit in the right passenger door compartment and it was, overall, in filthy condition. Also, items from the previous renter (4 large framed paintings) were left in the cab. We returned them and were told they would be thrown away - it was "not their problem" - the previous renters "shouldn't have left them". Lastly, they overcharged us and refused to refund the amount. The general mgr (owner's son) implied I was lying about the return date (holiday weekend) which escalated the situation. He suggested we go to the parking lot and duke it out - literally. This U-haul representative needs to inspect and clean their vehicles before releasing to customers. They need to do a better job with their data entry and ensure billing is correct; show more regard for their customers when something is brought to their attention. Finally, when disputes do arise with customers, don't accuse them of lying or threaten them with violence. Will not be doing business with them again. Filthy vehicles, careless record keeping and absolutely no sense of how to resolve customers disputes. read more

This is the best place to buy or repair a vacuum. I have had my vacuum maintained here several times. Even though it is an older vacuum it still works great! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and the prices are very reasonable. I recently bought a small handheld vacuum and it works great. Terrible service. Manager is not honest!! Charged $50 to fix vacuum and it did not work when I got it home. Brought it right back and they said I must have broken it again. They then charged another $85 to fix the same problem. They also kept pushing their own new vacuums even though my $1000 vacuum was only one year old. Stay away!!!!!!! read more

Long story, but a skunk sprayed through our screen door and into our bedroom. Floor, bed, mattress, dogs, bedding...everything just blasted. We tried that hydrogen peroxide blah blah mix that you'll find everywhere online, but it just didn't work. Ended up coming here in a last minute attempt to rid ourselves of the stink and save our stuff. Finally with the help of the guys working here, we were able to buy a real product that actually worked. Safe on everything from our upholstered headboard to our dogs. The stuff they recommended did a great job making our house livable again. We ended up having to look up the company who made the product and buy their specific skunk formula to finish the job, but it's not a known consumer brand. If I hadn't come here, I would've lost thousands of dollars in ruined items. Hopefully I'll never need this kind of help again, but if I ever have a tough cleaning job, I know where to go. Fail! Took my Bissell cleaner there to be fixed and they took my $35 to look at it and diagnose the problem. When I came back they said "yup, it's broke". No $%^& Sherlock, that's why I brought it in! How 'bout you tell me something I don't know and EARN $35. They said that Bissell's were too hard to fix and junk machines. I told them I either want the diagnosis I paid for or I want my money back. After arguing with them they said they'd diagnose the problem. They isolated a little cicuit board that was bad and made the repair. I wasn't too happy that they marked-up the part 300% over the cost I could buy it for on the internet, but it's a local business and I wasn't going to take their livelyhood away. They assured me they tested it and it was working perfectly. I trusted them and put the unit away until today when I took it out to use it. I even gave them a good review for fixing it (which has disappeared BTW) Now the Bissell DOESN'T WORK! NOT honest. NOT a good value. I'm very angry that I trusted them - I wanted them to do good.
