This is a really popular place and although I've been here several times I have not been overly impressed by the food. It's not bad but its not great either. After seeing a show in Bentonville, we came to the Local Lime in Rogers to give it a try after hearing that it was good. I can definitely say that what I heard was right! I remember when the location was the Texas Land & Cattle Co. steak restaurant, and I did not recognize it once inside with the new decor and layout. The lighting was a bit dark, but the rope lamps were very amusing. I wasn't very hungry, and so I only ordered the Green Chili Stew rather than a big plate of tacos. While I plan on trying those sometime, i can say that the stew was fabulous! The ingredients are:Braised Pork Shoulder, Roasted Green Chiles, Corn Tortilla Strips, Carrots, Cilantro, and Lime. Topped with Queso Fresco, Fresh Corn, and Avocado. It was rich, and the consistency was perfect - not too thin and not too thick. It had an almost "comfort food" feeling to it, and warmed me up nicely. I highly recommend trying it, along with the rest of the menu. I was impressed and I think you will be too. read more

I honestly have to say local lime won me over. Being from the Bay Area, a melting pot for the cooking industry and restaurants, local lime holds their own. The meat for the tacos I had was quite flavorful and tender. A must go if you are ever visiting Rogers/ Fayetteville Arkansas Area. read more

The chips are so delicious and the zucchini pumpkin seed salsa (yes i know that sounds weird but give it a try) is amazing! I have been going to Local lime since they opened up in Little Rock, and was so excited that they were opening up a new location in Northwest Arkansas after living without them for two years! We absolutely love all of the food there and they have hands-down the best margaritas! It does have a long wait time to get in, but for a place that's good you accommodate your schedule. Hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Rogers. The food and drinks are all very good and haven't tried anything that I didn't like. For an appetizer you have to try the salsa sampler, you get to sample three of their homemade salsas and they are all delicious, my favorite is the tomatillo and pineapple! We enjoyed another excellent trip to Local Lime. The reservation process was simple, and management and the host were very accommodating when I called to let them know I was running a few minutes behind to finish feeding my little one in the car. The tables are well spaced and the staff seems to be taking cleanliness and new covid procedures very seriously. I felt very comfortable dining in with how Local Lime is handling things. Food was delicious, as always. The three salsas, a small queso, and ribeye fajitas are the perfect combo for my husband and I to split, even when we are pretty hungry! The only thing I regret about our standing order is that I miss out on the amazing salads when we do this! read more

Let's start with the good stuff. Friendly waitress. Timely order taking and beverage glasses full. The salsa and chips to die for. Great atmosphere to visit, joke and be casual with friends and family. I have been here before at lunch and my friends term this "Bentonville" tacos vs. the real taqueria tacos. More on this in a minute. The three stars is for the following on a Friday night for a table of eight. I have worked the back & front end of the house so I know a table of eight is hard but a 50 minute wait for a table at later part of the night then after ordering bar drinks they came out incorrect and 25 minutes wait. Also two peeps had drinking water tasting like flat spirit. As for tacos the carnitas, fried chicken, shrimp and ribeye spot on good tender meat with just the right amount of sauce. Presentation great on all dishes. The cilantro rice all agreed was balanced but not overwhelming. Ahi tuna taco was a big no; too much flavor and texture issues. Enchiladas were good but not great. NWA has many great restaurants to choose from along with a thriving taqueria scene in Springdale, Rogers and some in Bentonville; this is not your neighborhood taqueria and we didn't come for that but we all agreed a little bit more love in the food and less trying so hard to show off and this would be off the charts. read more

The tacos were seasoned & cooked perfectly, however, the side items were barely edible (the rice was undercooked & the pickled vegetables weren't good). We had about a half hour wait on a recent Friday evening to see a table, so not too bad. Cool place, maybe above average noise. Not intimate, but nice inside. Chips are terrific, and all of the salsas we tried were very good. The tacos were really good, and the fish tacos were some of the best I have had. The sides come in small metal cups, the same that you get condiments in like ketchup and mayo in some places. This made them hard to eat with the large forks. The drunk beans and the lime rice were great. The pickled vegetables were no good, and the slaw was a flop. read more

Great everything ribeye tacos. Queso with chorizo is fabulous. And the tres leches with rum is fenomenal. To die for.

The place is new. Ambience is cool. After ordering appetizer and the long wait for the main course was not fun. Waited almost 55 minutes for the main course. The cops comes with three different dips which was good and different. However the chips consistency and texture was not that great. Some of them tasted stale and some were crunchy and crispy. Their lime rice was really good. The chorizo taco was not very special, and it did not taste as authentic as it should be compared to any locally owned Mexican restaurant would produce. It was not fulfilling also for the price that it commanded. The tamales tasted good however I did not know that it would be smothered and drowning on cheese. If you're a cheese lover and not lactose intolerant then you'll really love this place but as for me I cannot say the same. I wish I would enjoy the taste better with the savory and different flavor exploding in my mouth instead of just the taste of the cheese. First time visiting Local Lime and it wasn't a great experience overall. In fact, not one element of our visit was very positive. We were seated at a table that had just been wiped down and was totally saturated with water. Had to ask for a dry cloth to wipe it up, as there were no linens on the table. There were plenty of other open tables to seat us, btw. Server came by fairly quickly but had nothing to offer after telling him it was our first time there. Brought our drinks, but didn't give us any straws and didn't even ask if we wanted some. We ordered the salsa trio, which was about $4. The salsas were ok but nothing special. The chips were homemade and very crispy, but had zero salt and were quite bland. There was no salt on the table, either, only a succulent and a bottle of hot sauce. I ordered the rib eye nachos for $14 and the plate came out with six chips and a couple of small strips of rib eye on each. No salsa came with it or was offered by our server, and they needed something. I guess you do have bottle of hot sauce. Lol A friend ordered the carnitas and chicken tacos. I tried one of the carnitas tacos and it wasn't good at all. The taco was pretty small and it was the greasiest I've ever had. Honestly if I could have wrung out the tortilla it had to have had at least a teaspoon of oil in it. Not crispy and honestly not enjoyable at all. The sides were just ok, but at $3 a side, I'd pass on those altogether. Tab for chips and salsa, six tacos, 4 sides, nachos, and one soft drink was an eye popping $67. Between the less than adequate service and the quality of the tacos I was not impressed. I may be back to try something different but it won't be the tacos. It's sad, too, because this seems to be what they want to me known for the most. read more

I used to love coming to local lime until tonight. It's been a few months since I've been but they seem extremely understaffed. Last weekend there was an 1hr and a half wait at 6:30. Tonight we came at 5:15 and there was a 30 minute wait. Later on our waitress quit and thanked me for being so polite. It's disgustingly sad to see that the waiters and waitresses are so overwhelmed. There were long periods of time where we weren't talked to. I have no problem waiting but it shouldn't be because of being severely understaffed. I feel sorry for the workers. Also, the fruit punch is always out. They've been out of fruit punch 5 out of the 7 times I've been there. I've even gotten a to go order with fruit punch and they were even out. I'm not sure why it's a menu item if it's always out. I literally only go there for the amazing fruit punch sometimes, so it's extremely disappointing. It was one of the worst nights I've had at an establishment. The first tall table by the bar and entrance needs to be moved entirely. I'm a pretty patient and polite person but it's extremely annoying having people stand in front of me and behind me trying to watch the tv while waiting for seating. I was bombarded with people around me, even bumping into me sitting and eating. I'd hope people would try and be more observant but it's also not entirely their fault since it's such a horrible place for seating. I had to tell people excuse me just to adjust my own seat or get out of my seat to use the restroom. read more

TODAY IS CHRISTMAS DAY!!!! Because Local Lime is in NWA!! One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Little Rock, and this location is no exception, even on the first day!! Opened today, yet not a single problem-- seems like they've been in business for years! All 3 drinks were phenomenal. Frozen blackberry margarita, frozen mojito, and frozen strawberry mai tai!! Guacamole is consistently as good as you can get at a restaurant, and the salsa trio was excellent. Ribeye taco with corn tortilla for me-- meat was tender & flavorful, and the side of black beans completed the meal! Local Salad with chicken for my friend-- large portions, with excellent flavor! Shrimp fajitas for the third-- cooked well, seasoned perfectly, accompanied with perfected corn tortillas. Consistently the best Mexican you can get-- give it a try NWA!!! read more
