Always a great band playing. Look for Thomas Road. They never disappoint!

This is our go to! And recently the food has gotten much better! Great food, great atmosphere. Never miss a visit when we're in town!

Spring rolls 10/10 Delicious! Perfectly fried. Crab dip 10/10 Delicious and cheesy! Has a little crab taste to it too and a little bit of old bay. Brisket tacos 10/10 Brisket is super tender, it just melts apart in your mouth. Was worried about the sriracha being too spicy but you can barely taste it. Plenty of guac and a little sour cream too. Homemade chips Good chips!! Cod sandwich 10/10 Nice and light sandwich. Cooked well. Flaky and moist and a good thin breading. Coleslaw 10/10 Good flavor, very fresh. Just needs a touch of Salt.

Caught a concert at Local On The Water a few weeks back - great outside venue for a (smallish) show. Get there early for the good seats / tables. Good music with room for people to dance. The food was Ok. The server(s) were nice enough, but they needed a *lot* more of them; they were overwhelmed. LotW needs to increase staffing on busy nights.

Things started out rough. We waited 30 minutes before being greeted at our table. And this was only because we called the waitress to the table. She went to every table (4 other tables in a circle around us). The manager was called and she was amazing. Sat and listened to our complaint. Then moved us to another section. This is a dog friendly restaurant, so we also had our fur baby with us. When we moved and received proper service, the experience was much better. The food was good and the live band really made the experience worth it. What started out as a poor review turned into a stellar experience. I'm glad we decided to stay and enjoy the ambiance of this restaurant.

Such a fun spot!! Great for date nights, or girls night out. The food is amazing, the atmosphere, the music, the service. 10/10 would recommend!

Everything was terrific!! Cara took great care of us. Brisket nachos came out quick, garlic parm wings and Margarita flatbread was so good! She suggested extra balsamic on the side and I'm so glad, that little extra was awesome. The Local Classic burger was delish and the Cole slaw was *chefs kiss*. Can't recommend this place enough. Will definitely be back!

Another restaurant recommended Local On The Water for a music venue. We stopped in for a bite and drinks (about 30 minutes before the band started - Uptown Easy) Service was great, reasonably priced and the pizza rolls were delicious! The location with its water backdrop and plenty of indoor/outdoor seating was prime! The band kicked off and was awesome, great vibes and add in the large dance floor and everyone had a good time!

Local on the Water is a great restaurant with great water views! We went on a busy Friday night (of Labor Day weekend) and had to wait a little less than an hour for a table, but were able to grab drinks from the bar and enjoy the water views. We were seated inside but the restaurant is open air so it still felt like we were outside. There was live music which is great but makes for a very loud environment, so maybe not the place if you want to have conversation with your meal. We split the brisket nachos as an appetizer and they were delicious, the brisket tender and flavorful and the queso so good. That was probably enough for the three of us, but we each also got something else! I got the hot honey chicken sandwich which was delicious. Others in my party got the bang bang shrimp and chicken avocado bacon sandwich, both with great reviews. Food was delicious, would return!

Ask the Community - Local On The Water

Going here for vacation would like to see a band. Are teens allowed?

Yes! This is a restaurant for all age groups and teens will especially like the beach-front atmosphere around the stage area. Highly recommend for families.

Is there live music Tuesday night?

Give them a call. I know they do on weekends.

They had live music going, cute little swings to swing on, corn hole, and other games.

3/28/26: First time visit. Very impressed with this intimate yet clearly updated theater. Seats…read morelook brand new, are plush, lean back, with arm rest drink holders, and plenty of knee room so other patrons can easily pass. This smaller, 300 seat theater and wide stage allow every seat to feel close to the performers, especially when the performer walks out onto the wide stage steps. The left and right video screens allow close-up views of each performer. Restrooms are clearly modernized and roomy. I did not try the refreshment stand. Casey Kasem's American Top 40 Countdown Experience was an enjoyable "blast from the past." All the top hits were from my youth and brought back fond memories. The lead male singer was simply PHENOMENAL! He sang the majority of the 40 songs with his clear, smooth, yet strong voice, often sounding like the original iconic artist or even better! He is a Star. Overall, a wonderful group performance including the astonishing voice of Casey Kasem (by Howard Hudson, SC Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame member). - Mark VanValkenburg, The Bluffs on the Waterway.

Updating my review because we saw another show here on Sunday June 28th 2026. I knew about this…read moreshow because they posted it on facebook, and wanted to go because it was called Feeling 22: A Tribute to Taylor Swift. So it happens to be that I was off that day, and figured why not go? After all- tickets were only 48.00, max 58.00. Anyways So went here on Sunday June 28 2026 to see Feeling 22: A Tribute to Taylor Swift. brought our tickets online, and picked them up at will call. Pleasant people all around. Saw both elderly people and people my age who were dancing and singing all the Taylor Swift songs! Loved the band and loved the show, as I was singing along, after every word. There were parts where I couldn't understand, but that happens sometimes, even with other artists. Amber and her band Feeling 22 did amazing! Would totally be back if there was another show with her! Keep more like this coming- i'd love a boy band tribute show, Taylor Swift, 90's show, and Jonas Brothers, and more!
